Hey freaky folk, we have a new psychedelic groove to check out! Just in case you thought Amanitas or Psilocybins are the beginning and end of psychedelic shrooms, TRE House has assembled a blend of… random stuff which has a psychedelic effect when taken in gummy form. Now, I can definitely appreciate the effort to seek out new psychedelic substances without legal restrictions and bring them to the market. This is the kind of bold ambition we like to see in the legal psychoactive market. But being a market innovator comes with inevitable risks, and this experimental formula may need fine-tuning.
However, at their base line, these do indeed have a psychedelic effect. Unfortunately, there’s also the possibility of gastric upset, but I did take the max recommended dose. TRE House Magic Mushroom Gummies go in a x15 count bag for $24.99, enough for two full-strength trips.
Pros:
Potent effects
Hallucinatory
Meets expectations
Fairly brief trip at about 5-6 hours
Taste fine
A reasonable price for a quantity that may equate to multiple “trips” per bag
Cons:
Can produce gastric upset (very common for shrooms and psychs)
Hit unlike any known mushroom (later ingredient investigation explains this)
May never know exactly what I took and how much
Recommendations: Redo packaging: Leave off the smiley-face tomfoolery and tell us how many milligrams of every active ingredient are in these. We’re on the cutting edge of psychedelic research here; we don’t need anything to be “proprietary.”
A Tremendous Act of Faith
There are very few companies I’d trust to give me “something psychedelic” and leave out all further details, but luckily TRE House is one of them. We’ve reviewed them extensively here, and they’ve never demonstrated any but the highest quality standards, this time included. Nevertheless, when I found out I would be reviewing gummies that were *not* anything I’d tried before, I rushed to research as much as possible. The next week, here comes a box to my door, and on the spot, I figured to get this over with. The bag contained a gauge on the back which recommended 1-3 gummies for mild effects, 4-6 for moderate effects, and 7+ for heaviest. I shrugged and dutifully gulped down seven.
Can I just take a minute to say: Most people can’t do this. Some people are too anxious to take psychedelics at all, and with this brand new market, many more are going to at least tread lightly. So to put a product out there like this with mystery packaging requires an act of blind faith on the part of the buyer. With that said, we later piece some clues together to find out what’s up with the mystery packaging.
What is in TRE House Magic Mushroom Gummies?
The phrase in the nutritional information says, “proprietary nootropic mushroom blend – 22.5MG.” First off, the kind of psychedelics that make you hallucinate are not nootropics, which is an entirely different effect where you’re trying to boost your brain’s cognitive capacity. So this could be misleading for somebody already. Next, the smiley-chart describes the effects as “day at the office,” “day at the park,” etc.
If you hunt down TRE House’s own site you will eventually find, at the bottomish end of a wall of text, the statement:
They still don’t say how much of what ingredient, so we’re still kind of lost. But what are these active ingredients, because many of them don’t look like mushrooms at all? Let’s get our Wiki fingers typing and find out.
5-HTP – “a naturally occurring amino acid and chemical precursor as well as a metabolic intermediate in the biosynthesis of the neurotransmitter serotonin.” I do know that serotonin receptors are thought to play a role in the effects of psilocin. 5-HTP is an over-the-counter drug that is used as a sleep aid. Not conclusively studied and also – not a mushroom. Very good candidate for psychedelic effects.
Rhodiola Rosea – Basically a blossoming weed that grows all over the world and is used for culinary purposes. While it does contain a menagerie of 140 chemical compounds, it hasn’t been demonstrated to do much of anything. Not only that, it’s – wait for it – not a mushroom.
Lion’s Mane – We all know that one, it was the only thing on this list I was familiar with. Lion’s Mane is definitely a mushroom, but it has no psychedelic effect. Its primary use has been culinary, with only recent years revealing research that suggests it improves memory and concentration. This is a nootropic, not a psychedelic, so its place in a mixture intended to be psychedelic is questionable. I submit that the two effects do not mix; if a person has a negative experience from psychedelics, the last thing they need is a nootropic making the effects sharper and more ingrained in memory.
Mimosa Hostilis Root – A fern plant found growing mostly in South America. Hang onto your hat, because I said “effect like DMT” in my review video when I did not know the following fact: Mimosa is a known entheogen: “Dried Mexican Mimosa tenuiflora root bark has been shown to have a dimethyltryptamine (DMT) content of about 1-1.7%.” Ooooh! So I did feel a “DMT effect”! Great, we have our psychedelic. Also not a mushroom.
Phenylethylamine Hydrochloride – Phenylethylamine is a naturally occurring chemical compound, which can act as a minor neurotransmitter. Among other places, it’s found in chocolate. So far an unlikely candidate for a party drug, and also – wait for it again – not a mushroom.
Cyanocobalamin – This is plain old vitamin B12. I guess if it goes in a Monster, it’s fair game as a psychedelic? Not a mushroom. Also not a psychedelic, albeit it’s often dumped into energy formulas because it turns out a B12 deficiency leads to fatigue.
Cholecalciferol – This is plain old vitamin D3. Also, not a psychedelic, not a mushroom.
So there we have unraveled the mystery. I took some DMT with some laboratory-synthesized serotonin precursor. What was all the business with the smiley chart and “proprietary formula”? Well, it turns out that Mimosa root bark is legal by itself, but illegal to extract DMT from it. So the strategy is probably one of not drawing too much attention to this product, for fear US enforcement barges in to raid dispensaries before they get the full story. An unfortunate reality in this business is that you can do everything right and still be arbitrarily shut down by random street cops with a chip on their shoulder.
Well, now that we’ve solved the Scooby-Doo Mystery Mushroom Ingredients, the proof is in the pudding:
How Do TRE House Magic Mushroom Gummies Feel?
Trippy! Unfortunately, that was accompanied by a gastric upset. A thing I can normally prepare for when – I do not apologize for harping on it – I know what I’m taking! Stomach aches and psychedelic mushrooms go together like smoking and coughing, so it’s not unusual, but I can’t prep for an unknown variable.
But lemme break it down by the hour. This went approximately from noon till 6PM-ish.
Hour 1: Waiting for liftoff
Hour 2: Liftoff, but sharp nausea. Fought it for a while, then went to lay down. Most intense visual distortions occurred during this hour as well. If I weren’t an experienced psychonaut, I would have been prone to a bad trip right here.
Hour 3: The miracle of modern ginger ale and smoking a bowl of CBD-rich hemp tamped down the nausea. Relieved, I frolicked about on an energetic psychedelic buzz. This was the best part.
Hour 4: In rapid order, I made an eventful trip to the restroom, where the gummies left my system with extreme prejudice. Then I was suddenly hungry and devoured a buffet meal in the kitchen. Then had to pay a second visit to the restroom, which was also eventful.
Hour 5: Started to come down. Kind of bummed that I didn’t get to enjoy more high with less nausea. Made video.
Throughout this experience, I have the following observations:
Unlike some psychedelics, this did not slur my speech nor make me dizzy or uncoordinated
The post-peak was more pleasant. The lead up to the peak was like being strapped into a tilt-a-whirl with a kaleidoscope taped to my face.
I was tentatively in good spirits, but wouldn’t call the effects euphoric; the bowl of weed I smoked might have contributed more to my feeling.
The visuals took the form of geometric fractals which I saw in hypnagogic fashion whenever I closed my eyes.
Felt fatigued but not sleepy
It was over in six hours
Left me with some minor muscle aches – again a common psychedelic side effect
Overall left me with “brown acid at the rave” vibes
So, believe it or not, after all that – I had a fair time. I didn’t expect miracles, but at least I didn’t get burned. Since I took the “heroic dose” so you don’t have to, I expect a lower dose might find the sweet spot between no nausea but still seeing fractals.
I Recommend TRE House Magic Mushroom Gummies Anyway
At the end of the day, it delivered pretty much everything promised on the packaging, albeit cryptically. I’d recommend starting with smaller doses in the 2-4 range and working your way up to judge your tolerance level. That is to say, if you have no other options for legal psychedelics and you’re tired of Amanita Muscaria, try these. But I also wouldn’t put them as being better than LSD, psilocybin, or even Amanitas. They are what they are: a proprietary formula that does something to your head.
Readers, tell your intrepid reviewer how much you appreciate him putting his body and sanity on the line just so you can make an informed party decision. Your accolades will find reception in the comments below or on our proprietary forum blend.
Your humble author has taken quite an adventurous approach to investigating the newly legalized mushroom market. Starting from paltry doses of a few hundred MG, I’ve been doubling my dose every time in quest of a true psychedelic trip in a legal gummy bag. It turns out, this is not easy! Several times taking an Amanita product, I felt on the edge of a trip without actually launching one.
Then finally, when I tried Mushroom Lyfe gummies, I had a breakthrough. It was a sorta psychedelic trip, but still very mild. That came from scarfing down the entire bag for a 12,000 MG dose of Amanita mushroom in gummy form. So this time I approached the Smilyn bag with more confidence, since it was nearly identical to the Mushrom Lyfe bag – indeed, same dose and same company.
Pros:
Most intense trip yet
Potent!
Effective!
Cons:
Cloyingly sweet
I barfed (totally my own fault for scarfing a whole bag)
Recommendations: You’re doing fantastic, but perhaps more potency concentration in fewer gummies so we can cut the sugar?
This Trip Was Several Times More Intense!
I speak to you today as a wiser man who once messed around and found out. I’ve been reading in many forums, and have also suspected over several reviews, that controlling potency in Amanita gummies is not an exact science. This time, I really thought I was prepared. Starting from my customary full meal, I chomped the bag down at 2 AM (I’m an early-bed/early-rise country bumpkin).
By sunrise, I knew this time that something was wrong. For the first time since trying Amanitas, I was experiencing heavy nausea. I fought the urge with gulps of fluids, but after a while it was no use, and I chucked a few heaves. I was already peaking, however. Once I threw up, the nausea went away, and the rest of the trip was pleasant.
It was a full head trip this time. I was absolutely jacked up and chattery, energized, bursting with ideas and creativity, and rambling half-coherently to everyone around. As opposed to my previous 12KMG experience, I was not dizzy and wobbly this time. There was also no visual or audio distortion that was noticeable. Just hours upon hours of looking out my third eye in glorious shroomy headspace. My patient wife of 30 years endured listening to me without strapping me into a ball gag.
I felt euphoric and giggly, with it maybe wearing off a bit by the time I was ready for bed. In my copious notes, I detect that I was a bit incoherent and prone to wander across topics. My tweets from this period are laden with typos, which I remember making but was too lazy to fix.
I was awake a total of 26 hours again, and had to sleep another day to recover. As with most intense shroom trips, I was still feeling the effects for a couple days. Shrooms tend to leave my muscle tone a tad weaker for a day, and also leave me felling spent, like I was worn out. Since then I’ve been enjoying the after-effects. Good psychedelic trips like this one leave me feeling like I’ve defragmented my mental hard drive. An oil change for the brain.
A Dosage Puzzle
As always, I must caution you from trying my level of stunts at home. I’ve been on a months-long trek feeling out my tolerance for Amanitas, going from caps to gummies, carefully logging the effects. All this I did before committing to a 12KMG experience.
So, this time I truly saw what 12KMG of Amanitas can do. I am very impressed, but caution that from here forward, I will be treating all Amanita gummies with respect. The only problem is, I can take the identical dosage and get radically different effects. I’ve run into plenty of Amanita gummy brands which were duds.
It’s even possible that I might have experienced the nausea more from the sugar in the gummies than the actual mushroom content. At 3 grams of sugar each for 20 gummies, consuming the whole bag made me more concerned for diabetes than a bad trip. It’s also possible that less of the natural ibotenic acid was converted into muscimol in this batch. Or more. Who knows?
As I say so often, we’re in the early pioneer days of commercial psychedelics, so getting these dosages right may be an enduring challenge. Since mushrooms themselves can vary in potency from one sample to another, there may be some serious kinks to work out of this system.
Smilyn Came Through
We’ve all been reviewing Smilyn Wellness products on and off here at Dab Connection, and I haven’t always had good things to say. But as far as the Happy Mush (and Mushroom Lyfe) gummies, they get A+ marks from me for having some potency, and for achieving the effect we set out to attain. It’s not every day that you can say you bought a psychedelic trip in a bag, and what’s more it was legally mailed to your house. At $49.99 for the 20-count bag, it’s not even the most expensive trip you’ve taken. Check out Smilyn Wellness Happy Mush Mushroom Gummies here.
I charge all of you curious about the potential of Amanita Muscaria to check out this brand. Investigate the effects of amanitas and decide for yourself whether you’re in need of some mushroom therapy. I wouldn’t wolf these down as a party drug, but consider a good intense shroom trip once in a while to be just good brain maintenance.
Readers, share your trips down the rabbit hole here in the comments or in our trippy forum.
Here we go again with another installment of Pete’s exploration of the mushroom kingdom. With every cannabis company and their rapper spokesman diversifying into mushrooms too, it’s just about the right time for Galaxy Treats to throw their hat in the ring… But maybe this was too soon? Galaxy Treats is a widely-sold brand, and we have reviewed several of their products in the past with some mixed results.
THEREFORE: I’m willing to cut them some slack this time. I have to take their record into consideration because I scarfed a whole 7500MG bag and felt absolutely nothing, but there’s variables to consider. Galaxy Treats Moon Shrooms are listed on their site as $37.99 for the 10-count bag.
Pros:
Very fresh and moist
Fine flavors
Cons:
Did nothing, no effects
Recommendations: Find a way to get consistent potency in your product.
Dab Connection Reviews Are Aimed At Constructive Criticism
I’m just pointing it out every time, when we review things we really review them! We’re not a pay-for-play fake review site. We’re a consumer watchdog site.
So I’m trying to be fair because when it comes to Amanita Muscaria, we’re still in the pioneering days of the industry. We’ve only seen all this come on the market in the past year. The other fudge factor is that extracting muscimol from Amanitas is an inconsistent process, with a great variety in potency from one mushroom to another.
So far, we started with Amanita Regalis mushroom caps, because before I experience the gummy I want to experience the drug. Since then, we’ve been eating our way through about a half dozen varieties of mushroom gummy, and have only run across one dud, Smilyn, while Boom Boyz, Hometown Hero, and Minnesota Nice gave me measurable effects and Mushrom Lyfe at last came through with my first full Amanita trip – and I liked it!
I’m looking for those trips, or at least enough effect that a trip could be possible if I took enough. So I’m not trying to review for microdosing, because how do I conclude that it’s effective? Take 2 IQ tests a month apart around a 30-day regimen? So in testing Galaxy Treats I gulped down the whole bag, 7500MG. I am also getting to realize one tell of Amanita content: I always get a stomach rumble and gurgle for just a minute after taking any Amanita product (other users have also observed this). Twice I missed that, with Smilyn and now Galaxy Treats. Ditto, I felt no muscimol effects later.
As far as aesthetics go, these are great. Fresh, moist and tasty, the best you could expect from a gummy. And like I say, we’ve poked at a few Galaxy Treats products before and found they did something. So, having downed one bag, I have two more in front of me which I might try later; if the one bag was just a fluke, I’ll update this review with the new results. But even at that, two bags is a 300-calorie meal and one heck of a lot of sugar, and I’m a fat lil’ waddling penguin already.
Lab Tests Reveal Potency Mystery
I was overjoyed with my Mushroom Lyfe experience because it gave me an important benchmark to compare. After Galaxy Treats, I pulled up the lab test sheet from the obligatory Qr code on the package. For comparison, I pulled up the lab sheet from Mushroom Lyfe’s Purple Punch flavor too.
It’s a bit hard to see way down at the bottom on the Mushroom Lyfe’s sheet (top), but they list the muscimol potency per piece. Mushroom Lyfe’s gummies tested muscimol (the active ingredient in Amanita mushrooms) at 3.10 MG/serving (single gummy). Galaxy Treats’ gummies tested muscimol at 9.68 MG/serving. But Mushroom Lyfe put me on the moon where Galaxy Treats did nothing. That’s 62MG from the Mushroom Lyfe (20-count bag) vs. an alleged 96.8MG from the Galaxy Treats (10-count bag).
So either the Galaxy Treats were a dud, or else we can kiss our reliance on muscimol percentage as an indicator of potency goodbye.
As I say, Amanita mushroom products are brand new on the market and likely still have plenty of bugs to work out in the system. Most of all, I have heard that there is wildly variable potency from one mushroom to the next. With that said, this is still a quality control issue.
Psychedlics is Not a Game for Amateurs!
It is necessary that we’re going to have to come down much harder on mislabeled and misrepresented psychedelics in the future. That’s because they are a HARDER + HEAVIER drug than cannabis. Take the wrong dose of cannabis and you just got more stoned; take the wrong dose of psychedelics and die in a car accident when you unexpectedly start hallucinating on the freeway.
I will also charge that it is a very cruel and inconsiderate thing to play with people’s heads when it comes to psychedelics. Already I have Hitchcock’s violins from Psycho playing in my head with the suspense I’m experiencing every time I take mushroom gummies. Was it too much, was it not enough, am I tripping or just experiencing placebo, will I get burned? I am putting my life in the manufacturer’s hands – could they please return the vote of confidence and try to give a thin damn what they are doing? Amanitas are cheap and bountiful all over the Earth, it’s not a question of cutting corners.
Was It a Fluke?
We’re going to be trying another round of those Smilyn shroom gummies again, and may return to Galaxy Treats for another go later. Readers, how has your luck been with edible Amanita products? Find any bangers? Spread the spores of your knowledge here in the comments or in our mushy forum.
Extra Extra! Read all about it! Penguin Pete finally hit the psychedelic threshold! For those of you who have been following my documented psychonaut journey into the depths of the Amanita Muscaria & Pantherina mushrooms, you know that I have been sampling these looking for results beyond a mere therapeutic microdose. Measuring in mushroom cap volume per gummy – recently ramped up as high as 700MG/piece – I dosed my way up from 2100 to 4200 MG and still didn’t get the psychedelic effects others swear Amanitas are capable of.
Still, I was pacified with some effects that suggested I was on the edge of the trip. I resolved to continue scaling my dosage until I got a true “tripping balls” effect. I am pleased to report that Mushroom Lyfe assisted my first Amanita trip, even though several brands I’ve tried were sufficient potency that I’m sure they could have been as lucky.
Pros:
Potent!
Lab tested!
Fresh!
Full trip possible!
Cons:
Oops, forgot about the hangover effect from shrooms
Suggestions: Just keep concentrating that muscimol, we have a breakthrough here.
A Trip In A Bag
So, I told you all about my continued dose laddering back there. This time when I received Mushroom Lyfe, I noted that the larger bag packed a total of 12,000MG of Amanita cap; in roughest of rough calculations this should be around 7 grams of muscimol (hey, anybody got a conversion formula, leave a comment). I figured this was about 3x my previous record dose, just a hair less, and everything I had experienced so far told me that I mostly wouldn’t regret scarfing the whole damn bag at once.
Just like that, down the hatch.
Twenty gummies of 600MG Purple Punch I snacked down, right about lunch time. Within minutes, as happens often (I see others report it) I had a brief stomach rumble which comes with Amanita consumption in almost any form. I had just had a full meal so nausea was no concern (and I experience none). As I had before with Amanita gummies, I settled in for the expected wait time of an hour and the mild effects I’d been having with Amanitas so far.
At about the 45 minute mark, however, things took a different course. The “body high” sensation I get with psychedelics hit. Time slowed down. My reflexes slowed even more. The effects were still building. I howled like a Wookie about to jump to lightspeed, because this was no drill! I logged off my work for the day, knowing I’d be no good for productivity but I also had a great excuse to catch up on my anime viewing. It peaked at about the 1.5 hour mark, and stayed there until well into the evening hours.
Mushroom Lyfe Trip Report:
The below are merely objective observations how this particular trip hit me. Your mileage may vary with the way mushrooms affect you, the way you approach shrooming, and even the variable potency of batches.
Felt mostly like a heavy alcohol buzz without the nausea
Euphoric indeed!
Giggly, giddy peak
Gave me a motormouth
Gave me extreme dry mouth
Kept me awake past 24 hours
Made me very dizzy and clumsy
Messed with my sinuses (albeit my sinuses suck anyway)
My wife of 30 years is a good objective witness, and she says I was slurring my speech and wobbling around a lot. Indeed, the dizziness and lack of coordination made a walk across the floor challenging, like I was on a merry-go-round. The sensation of moving around was also exhausting; it took every fiber of my concentration just to put one foot in front of the other. I was well aware that I walked like I was several bricks shy of a load; I did not realize that I was slurring.
By about 9PM most of the fun parts had worn off, but I didn’t get to sleep until about noon the next day. Then I slept like the dead until the subsequent morning. I took the bag on Sunday, and on Tuesday I was still a bit wobbly.
On the whole, the experience was fun and felt like any satisfying trip on psilocybin or whatnot. The downsides were more my own failing for lack of proper preparations for a real trip, but I was cause by surprise. Normally I reserve a weekend for psychedelics. They are not just a casual after-work party drug. Speaking as a man of advanced years, mushroom trips can be physically taxing as well. It had been so long since the last time I did psychedelic anything, I forgot how long that takes before you’re back down to Earth.
Perfect Timing For A Mushroom Epiphany
From these results, I can now conclude that Amanitas are indeed psychedelic in the same sense as other psychedelics. But again, different from psilocybin and other mushrooms. It’s tough to describe but those who have experienced each may appreciate that Amanita or at least the 7 grams of muscimol felt like a “diet trip,” nowhere near as intense as my hardest day on festival-standard blotter acid. But also definitely in the same family. I experienced no notable visual or audio distortions. At no time did the buzz feel oppressive.
I’ll welcome the same experience again, perhaps a bit better planned now that I finally have a target dose I can aim for. And Mushroom Lyfe Euphoric Mushroom Gummies get high quality marks from me! While the price of $61.99 for a 20-gummy 12000MG bag is a bit hefty for what I am calling “a light trip,” it is legal and can be mailed to your house. Find Mushroom Lyfe Euphoric Mushroom Gummies here.

For us veteran stoners, out minds are likely already made up about what method of cannabis consumption we prefer. But for those new to the cannabis scene, the cannabis industry has now gotten sophisticated enough that the galaxy of bewildering choices can be intimidating. Hence, we’re going to catch up on some basic guides around here for those just joining us.
Old “old school veteran” stoner now represents a small part of the cannabis market. Here’s a recent survey of the California market, for instance:
First off, over half the cannabis market is now female. Surprised, anyone? Moreover, of the total cannabis consumer market, roughly 40% are married and raising children in the home. The majority are in the labor force.
What does this tell us? Cannabis has to fit into a whole lifestyle for a lot of users. Weed isn’t just for college-age dormies vegging in their own funk with no plans for the weekend. The modern cannabis user balances weed use with being a parent and professional, and enjoying an active lifestyle.
That factor informs your choice of cannabis consumption. So we ask the time-honored canonical blog question: “Which one is right for you?”
Smoking
Pros:
– So easy a caveman can do it
– Fast effects kick in
– Bong rips get you really high
Cons:
– Least healthy consumption method
– It reeks!
– Harsh on the lungs
Smoking cannabis, whether by bong, pipe, blunt, or joint, is the time-honored way to consume cannabis. On the plus side, nothing quite feels as satisfying as a good, solid bong rip. Smoking is simple, takes almost no skill, and gets you buzzing right away. It’s also one of the cheapest ways to consume.
The downsides are everything else. Smoke particles get in your lungs and can cause health concerns just as bad as cigarette smoking. The smell is impossible to cover up, so you’d better be living in circumstances tolerant to usage. The pungent smoke gets in your hair, clothes, upholstery, etc. Also, cleaning out a bong has got to be one of the nastiest chores in all drugdom.
Dabbing
Pros:
– Even higher highs
– Healthier consumption method
– Purest way to taste cannabis essence
– Super efficient
Cons:
– Takes skill
– Burn hazard
– High maintenance
– Expensive
Dabbing is where you take a cannabis extract and heat it up to a temperature where it vaporizes, but doesn’t burn. Dabbing was seldom practiced pre-legalization, but has exploded in popularity in the 21st century. And dabbing gets you a more pure cannabis experience, removing all that plant matter you would be smoking to focus on the pure cannabinoids and terpenes. It is the gourmet way to consume, hands down, and the aristocratic way to use weed.
The biggest downside is that it takes a lot of skill and practice to get dabbing right. Erigs to automate this process help, but are pricey. Live resin cannabis concentrate is expensive too. Using the quartz banger method, you’re waving a torch around and liable to touch a glowing hot banger accidentally. Finally, dabbing is a maintenance hassle, making for residue build-up that’s hard to clean. Dabbing is not for klutzes. If it weren’t for the technical factors we’d see a lot more dabbers.
Vaping
Pros:
– Dead simple
– Widely available
– Discreet
– Decent effect kick-in time
Cons:
– Possibly more damaging than smoking
– Unreliable sources
– Lowest buzz factor
– Terrible artificial candy flavors
Vaping was virtually unheard-of until the turn of the century, and then it exploded in popularity. Every town in America seems to be spouting a vape shop on the corner, and then there seems to be vapes for sale in every gas station. Vaping is super-discreet, with the vapor dissipating instantly with nearly no trace. And like smoking and dabbing, you begin to feel the effects of vaping relatively quickly. Vapes are designed to be disposable, so the maintenance is nil.
But the downsides make me wonder why vaping is still a thing at all. First off, out of all the cannabis consumption methods, this is the only one with actual casualties when people were dying of VAPI. A vape cartridge, even from the best source, is an oil vial of mystery. The substance inside bears little resemblance to cannabis material and tastes like inhaling burning sugar thanks to the diabetes flavor palette of vapes. The vape industry is shot through and through with fake carts, counterfeits, mislabeling, dilution, shady companies, ineffective regulation and just about zero trust from anybody who’s an expert. Worst of all, the very best vape cartridge in the world won’t get you as high as a toke off some mids in a bong. Vapes are the skid row bum of weed.
Edibles
Pros:
– The ultimate being discreet
– Effects last longer
– Perfect for medical / therapeutic purposes
– Consistent results per individual
– Widely available
– Huge variety of products
Cons:
– Wildly varying results from one individual to another
– Nobody likes the waiting game
– Sketchy reliability
Before legalization, edibles extended to a tray of homemade pot brownies. Since legalization, we’ve seen edibles explode in popularity and sophistication. You can buy ready-made cannabis-infused treats from cookies to gummy candies to infused beverages, including beer and coffee. Recently I tried a honey-powder mix to use as an additive for tea and coffee, and it was great! Edibles leave no sign that you’re using cannabis, making it the ultimate discreet way to consume. Furthermore, the buzz lasts longer and is felt deeper. As long as you’re one of the lucky few with a digestive system that processes it correctly, an edible buzz is reliable and consistent every time. Finally, it’s easy to get the precise dose for medical and therapeutic users.
The main downside is that edibles don’t work for everyone. There are individual variations in how your liver processes edibles, so if they don’t work for you, you’re out of luck! Others are at the other end of the scale where edibles are too strong except in tiny mouse bites. The other downside of edibles is that they take a while to kick in. And, like their vape counterparts, they’re sometimes seen in gas stations with sketchy reputations. All in all, edibles almost beat out the competition for overall convenience.
In Conclusion…
Variable factors in your lifestyle will determine which cannabis consumption method is right for you. These include the legality of weed where you live, your living companions and how they feel about weed, the presence of children in the household, and so on. For example, I’d think twice about maintaining a dab rig with a curious toddler around.
If you have complete flexibility, it’s down to personal preference. For a new cannabis user, I’d recommend trying smoking first and then edibles, maybe exploring dabbing if you want an upgrade or turning to vaping if you’re desperate for options.
That’s the state of things today; hope for a better tomorrow with full legalization and full regulation. Readers, what lifestyle factors impact your cannabis consumption methods? Share here in the comments or in our dank forum.
The never-ending quest for the ultimate, perfect eRig brings us back again to Yocan, a brand name that is very familiar from our pages. I count about 15 reviews of Yocan products and counting. Yocan has positioned itself as a diverse brand of vaping and dabbing utilities. Yocan aims for the sweet spot between cool design and basic functionality, in my observation, and the Phaser Max is like the culmination of all Yocan design phases before. The Yocan Black Phaser Max is offered on their own site for $160., a budget-friendly price in the eRig market.
Pros:
Looks fantastic
Easy to use
Easy grip/trigger design
Easy maintenance
Lightweight
Fast heat-up time
Reasonable price
Cons:
Still a wax coil and not full quartz bucket eRig
May have some long-term durability issues

In watching the cannabis industry evolve over these years (and darn lucky I think I am to have borne witness to this period of history) I have noticed the eRig market come to standardize on design aesthetics. As I note in the video, the cone-shape seems to have won the eRig water bubbler design race. The Lookah Unicorn series, the Dip and Dab models, the XMax Qomo, and most famously the Puffco Peak, all these use the cone-shape glass bubbler. I can honestly see the sense of the design, straight edges making it easy to clean and all.
So by the time you see the box, the Phaser Max is almost self-explanatory. You see a hand-grip, bubbler cone, and wax coil. If you’re familiar with eRigs at all, you can probably pick it up from here.
The standard USB-C charger plugs into the base at the back and charges in a couple hours, with a full charge on its 1800 mAh battery good for days. The water bubbler pops off the grip base, seated in hard foam. Fill the bubbler to an inch or so and re-seat. The wax coils are interchangeable (2 provided) and come with a rubber cover and cap. The rubber helps insulate against the heat, minimizing those burned-finger incidents (you all know you’ve had that happen once with other dab rigs).
But the real star of the show is this hand-grip battery base…
The Yocan Black Phaser Max is Fun to Use!
When I first started using it, it suddenly dawned on me that I was e-dabbing one-handed. I didn’t have to fumble as I do with some eRigs, holding this thing and pressing somewhere else, with these awkward grips that risk burning myself on the hot part. As its name implies, the Phaser Max rests comfortably in one hand – indeed, switching rightie and leftie – with a pistol grip to activate. Facing the user, the unit has a full LCD screen showing temperature, length of draw, and other data. The “+” and “-” buttons set the target temperature. The read-out gives you live temperature data as your dab heats, with the base glowing as it heats. Temp range runs 400-750F.
This light weight and pistol grip makes for the most easily-managed dab unit I’ve seen in a long time. It’s hand-friendly for those with arthritis or mobility/dexterity issues. The on-demand mode makes drawing a dab nearly as easy as drawing a vape pen. The operation is more like using a wax pen than a dab rig. At the same time, the button placement and grip design is sure to be friendly to the video-game generation.
Is the Yocan Black Phaser Max Standard Federation Equipment?
While I do have a couple reservations about the long-term durability, and would not call this a heavy-duty rig, the Phaser Max packs a lot of ideas into a practical design, and makes this one of the easiest eRigs for the beginners, klutzes, and butterfingers of the world. At $160, the Yocan Black Phaser Max hits in the reasonable midrange of prices.
Find the Yocan Black Phaser Max here. Readers, how did it take us so long to put a pistol grip on an eRig? Any others like this out there? Yap away in the comments or in our dank forum.
So I don’t think I have tried a new pipe in quite a while or maybe ever for DabConnection, so when they told me about the HØJ KØL Mini 2.0 I was intrigued but unsure how I would really feel about it because it ultimately is just a bowl and usually the best bowls are pretty solid at best in my opinion. Regardless I was excited to try and see if there was any difference.
Pros:
Quality built
Awesome design
Easy to use
Cons:

Designed to last forever
It comes in a pretty nice package with this case/holder thing and some information about the product. One thing I noticed immediately is acknowledging that their product is designed to last forever. It is very easy to clean the same way we wash the dishes so that is an immediate plus. I feel like using alcohol solutions and things to clean pipes, although effective:
Does not smell or taste great during or after the fact
I have heard mixed things about the safety of using pipes that have been cleaned with certain chemicals and your ability to fully remove them so they do not get heated and inhaled with any smoke you are intentionally trying to inhale.
“Cool”
Also as I am reading the website I am realizing it is pronounced “cool” and honestly it’s so apropos. I have had this product for about a week and my biggest complaint was going to be it doesn’t seem to pull enough for me. Like any real stoner, a big smoke cloud just does something for me so not having that had me originally a bit underwhelmed with the product. However, this was my experience using light bowl packs of broken-up weed.
However, when I switched to shake from a different brand it hit way better, almost like it was a different product. It was producing huge clouds and smooth pulls consistently. Pair that with the easy ability to clean and some included screens and a clever internal design to stop the Scooby snacks. As much as I like joints and bowls this has always been my biggest issue with them. Well thanks to the design of this product by the folks at HØJ, that issue is not even there.
Dont overstuff it
The only thing I really would improve is maybe higher walls or sides to the part of the piece where you place the flower. I think it seems like implied to not use a lot between my understanding of not overpacking your bowls or just it not being super big. But I am telling you to take a good lil bit of shake or ground-up flower and place a nice amount on there. The pull will be incredible. Though this seems like it could be not the best in an outdoor environment so be careful if you are trying to bring this pipe on your summer beach trips or anything.
Concluding this review
Overall this is a really cool product and is definitely my new favorite bowl. It has a really cool design that leads to cooler air being pulled and less stress on your lungs. All positives plus the fact it won’t break from cracking since it’s not glass and is easy to clean. I definitely recommend heading to the HØJ website and checking out this as well as their other products. We see the the HØJ KØL Mini 2.0 priced currently at $95.

This Smilyn disposable is advertised as a Euphoric Blend. Smilyn claims that it will accelerate your mind with this exclusive blend of Delta 8, Delta 9, THC-P, THC-B, and CBD-P. The strain is a SativaIsland Haze.
Pros:
Lightweight
Sleek design
Easy to use
Hits well
Cons:
Pricey

The Island Haze disposable is perfect for clumsy smokers
I tried the Smilyn disposable vape in the Sativa strain, Island Haze. Even with semi-clogged sinuses thanks to seasonal allergies I was still able to smell the sweet, fruity aroma of this peppy strain.
The smell itself is pretty euphoric! It smells like a super refreshing cocktail in the middle of the summer.
Impressive, high-quality hardware for a disposable
The disposable vape is a really sleek, pod-style piece of hardware. It’s got a matte grip, so you don’t need to worry about dropping it. It also fits perfectly in your palm for full coverage if you’re trying to have lowkey smoke.
I have pretty small hands that are about the size of a toddler’s. However, the Smilyn disposable fits perfectly for a quick undercover public puff.
The vape will last you a bit, just don’t go puff crazy
Now, let’s get into the nitty-gritty of what exactly you’re vaping. The Smilyn disposable vape is comprised of D8, THC-P, THC-H, and THC-B. The pod is full of 3ml of the oil and should last a fair amount of time if you don’t take huge rips all day.
I felt an uplifting, energetic feeling that was heavy with euphoria after taking six puffs. The high kicks in pretty fast, so don’t go too crazy. My only issue was I couldn’t find the exact potency of the vape anywhere. This is something that should be easily found on the packaging.
The disposable vape will run you $69.99, which is definitely on the steep side, but it is really high-quality stuff.
I had to add the Smilyn to my favorite disposables. The great flavor, high potency, and hardware convenience make it an A1 choice for people who to take outdoors. This piece is a must-have summer staple for some fun in the sun.
Here at DabConnection, we are naturally champions for legalizing and normalizing cannabis usage. But of course, weed culture does bring with it a modicum of responsibility. Remember, in the days before cannabis legalization, we stoners were pledging how responsibly we would behave if legalization went through.
So, while the myths about weed outside the stoner camp are still a far larger problem than within, we do still see a call for moderating our own ranks. If you’re a stoner, a medical marijuana user, or just an ally of same, and you find yourself repeating any of these myths, please check your information and stop it. Misinformation about cannabis doesn’t do anyone any favors, even if it’s in advocacy of cannabis.
[Myth 1.] Weed Isn’t Addicting
When people say this, they should be qualifying it as “it isn’t physically addicting.” That is, unlike drugs like heroin or nicotine or even alcohol, abstaining from THC after prolonged usage does not produce physical withdrawal symptoms.
But let’s knock it off. OF COURSE, weed is addicting! People can get addicted to anything, even non-chemical habits like gambling, video games, social media, and porn. You might have a psychological addiction to cannabis if you find yourself unable to deal with the stresses of life without a hit first. Anything that you are dependent upon to make it through the day is an addiction; cannabis is no different.
Since I am a heavy user, partly for professional reasons, I can also see some signs in myself of a cannabis dependency. For instance, I notice if I abstain for two days, I find that I’m more prone to slight irritability over trivial annoyances. This appears to be a result of my getting so used to being stoned all the time that I’m used to having that chemical buffer keeping me mellow – without it, I have to raw-dog life and re-discover how easily some minor peeve gets under my skin. It’s not serious, like withdrawal symptoms from other substances are, and I’m back to normal after another day of abstinence, but it’s still there.
[Myth 2.] You Can’t Overdose On Cannabinoids
Yes, Virginia, there is such a thing as a cannabis overdose. It may be non-lethal, but symptoms of a weed overdose include nausea, vomiting, panic attacks, poor coordination, mental confusion, and even hallucinations. If you’re a heavy stoner, you’ve likely overdosed without even realizing it. In my professional capacity as a reviewer of cannabis products, as well as being a regular user, I am certain that I have overdosed a time or two.
This point deserves underlining now that we’re producing all these candy-gummy-infused cannabis products that can appeal to children. There have already been incidents where toddler-age children have gotten into the adult’s edibles. Even if it’s not lethal, it’s still damned unpleasant and can have long-reaching consequences. Let’s just say “better safe than sorry” and keep the weed goodies out of the reach of children, just as we would alcohol and tobacco.
[Myth 3.] Weed Doesn’t Give You a Hangover
This statement is often made in comparison to alcohol. While an alcohol hangover has different symptoms, cannabis has its own kind of hangover. In fact, anything you feel the next morning after partying on any substance counts as a hangover.
In both my experience and reports I read from others, a cannabis hangover is a foggy mental state, accompanied by tiredness, sluggishness, dehydration, and headache. It clears away about an hour after waking, and my usual cup of morning espresso wipes that out even faster.
[Myth 4.] It’s OK To Drive Stoned
It is true that weed doesn’t seem to be as debilitating as many other psychoactive substances, but let’s not fool ourselves either. You can get so baked that you’re not safe to drive. Marijuana effects include impairment of coordination, concentration, memory, and judgment. There is indeed a correlation between legalized weed and increased traffic incidents, especially when mixed with other substances like alcohol. Why take the chance?
Luckily, cannabis doesn’t seem to make people as foolhardy and confident as alcohol, so I do see where most stoners exhibit caution in not driving while high. That’s great, keep it up! Besides, you don’t really want to go places stoned; you want to be a couch critter with snacks and video games.
[Myth 5.] You Can Use Weed Every Day With No Problem
Yet we stoners regularly bandy about the term “tolerance break.” So we see that the first problem with using weed every day is that it decreases the effectiveness of weed. Listen, I’m a hardcore stoner over here, but even I take a day off the stuff occasionally. Everybody should, not just to manage tolerance, but in the interest of leading a sane, non-dependent lifestyle. The worst path of weed abuse is the stoner who tries to stay stoned all day every day. Try that for a week, and you will feel like weed stopped being any fun at all, and has no more effect on you after a while than if you were popping a multivitamin.
Not only is this a problem because you’re spending money on weed that isn’t hitting the same anymore, but it’s also an issue with your body’s health. Cannabis works by plugging into the endocannabinoid system, which is also responsible for regulating many bodily functions. Heavy overuse of cannabis can cause cannabis hyperemesis syndrome. Even though that’s a rare condition, it does go to show that it’s possible to wreck your endocannabinoid system to the point of irreparable damage to your body.
Seriously, folks, anything you do in excess can be a problem. Even water can kill you if you drink too much at once, which is why sports drinks with added electrolytes exist. Like anything else, you can overdo weed. Cannabis should be treated as a delightful refreshment after you’ve tended to the day’s tasks, or only for occasional all-day use on your day off, part of a healthy and productive lifestyle. Seek balance in all things, that is the way to a happier life.
A Word About Modern Potency
We should also be aware, even though there has never been a recorded death attributable to cannabis in the history of cannabis use, that much of that history has occurred during a time when cannabis was just a half-cultivated plant you smoked. Only in the past few decades, with the advent of legalization, have we taken to pulling crazy stunts like isolating one altcan and stuffing 1000MG of it into a distillate cartridge and vaping it. Even that hasn’t killed anybody directly – yet!
But we are in a pioneering phase of new cannabinoid discoveries. We are all playing with new and experimental ways to consume cannabis that nobody ever tried before. As history has shown, we have a distressing habit of trying something for forty years and then discovering, whoops, this has long-term consequences we never could have guessed. I am predicting that it is likely, given the hundreds of possible cannabinoid/isomer/acetate/terpene combinations, that we will eventually uncover some formulation that is more harmful than the natural state of the plant as she grows and smokes.
It is also true that modern cultivation produces stronger weed, nobody argues that. However, that fact has given rise to the idea that “Old people should be more careful smoking weed from a dispensary because it’s more potent than what they used to smoke.” And yes, since I run around sporting a long white goatee that has become my trademark, I am occasionally amused to see the looks of concern among Gen-Z when I leave the dispensary after buying enough weed to tranquilize an elephant. However, you kids are missing a point here: We old folks are being more careful with the dosage because we’re getting high in a few bong rips whereas before we had to smoke some four blunts just to feel anything. The weed was weaker then; so we just did more of it in one sitting.
Regardless, everybody should approach the modern cannabis scene at their own pace. The regular D9THC weed is more potent, but the harsh, isolated cannabinoids we’re putting into vape cartridges and edibles are also several times the potency of that same cannabinoid found in regular weed.
As always, apply some common sense. Readers, share the weed myths you’ve encountered within stoner culture here in the comments or in our hotboxed forum.
I recently had the pleasure of trying EightySix Brand Caramel Chews Delta-8 edibles. It was a calm day, with nothing but a bus trip to Boulder for a workshop, and these edibles were the perfect way to relax and sink into a day of rest.
When it comes to trying anything that’s not classic Delta-9 THC, I find it really important to make sure that I’m getting a high-quality, tested cannabis brand. I was really happy to see that there’s a QR code on every bag of Eighty-Six’s Delta-8 products that takes you to the testing results for that particular batch of edibles. I really appreciated that I was able to verify I was getting what I paid for, and nothing else. This dedication to quality control shows me that EightySix cares about providing a good experience to their customers, and isn’t just out to make some quick cash on the latest THC analogue.
Calming high
I took the edible early, wanting to make sure I wasn’t peaking as I went into my workshop. I was impressed with the taste of the caramel- it was a good mix of solid but melty, and I didn’t detect any other flavors from the cannabis. This is definitely my favorite of the edibles I’ve tried from EightySix in terms of flavor.
Within 30 minutes I was feeling that classic Delta-8 buzz: a body-based high that eased all my tight muscles as my mind started to wander more and more.
These edibles go great with a cup of coffee, as the brain-fog from the edibles can be overwhelming if you’re not used to it. These EightySix Brand caramels are 50mg of Delta-8 each, and I found that to be a great dosage for a good mix of a strong high without losing the whole day to a weed-induced couchlock. Careful though- in the process of reviewing EightySix products I’ve built up a tolerance!
Delta 8 journey
As I got to the bus and embarked on my journey I was very grateful for the way that these EightySix Brand caramel chews helped me surrender to the flow of the day. Long bus trips are never that comfortable, but I was perfectly happy sinking into my seat with relative ease and jamming out to my music the whole way there. These edibles certainly activated my munchies, and I stopped for a quick lunch that I ate with gusto. If you plan on leaving the house while taking these, budget for some food!
My yoga workshop lasted an hour and a half, and I was grateful to sink into my stretches with a calm mind. As it went on I definitely felt more and more tired, and was a bit disappointed to find that the edibles were starting to wear off after about 3 hours. I’ve been taking these a lot (thanks to the generosity of EightySix!), and I feel like my tolerance has gone up more quickly than it would have with traditional THC edibles.
As I called my Lyft home, I felt somewhat burnt out from the experience of the high. Delta-8 edibles seem to operate like a super sleepy Indica – I ended my high feeling ready to conk out for the night. Although that feeling lifted somewhat as I continued to sober up, I was still able to fall asleep that night quickly and got an amazing, peaceful 9 hours in.
Concluding this review
Overall, I enjoyed these caramels just as much as I’ve enjoyed the other EightySix products I’ve reviewed. If you’re looking for a good replacement for regular THC, you can find a very similar experience in these edibles without running into legal issues. Although I still prefer classic THC, I’ll definitely finish this package, and even come back to this brand if I’m looking for a slightly milder, more body-based experience. I’m grateful to know that EightySix has me covered when venturing into the world of THC-analogues: I can branch out of my comfort zone with full confidence that I’m eating reliable and rewarding treats!
You can find EightySix Brand Delta-8 Caramel Chews on their official website here.

Dabbing is becoming an increasingly popular way to consume concentrates, and for a good reason. When done correctly, dabbing can provide a powerful and fast-acting high. But when it comes to taste, many people find that concentrates can be pretty harsh. By learning how to taste the most terpenes while dabbing, you can enjoy the complete flavor profile of your concentrates while minimizing any potential harshness.
What are Terpenes?
Terpenes are what give cannabis its flavor and aroma. They are also what provide each strain with its personality. Terpenes are an essential part of the dabbing experience because they make one strain feel different from another, giving you a hint about what to expect from your dab.
Here is how to taste the most terpenes from your dabbing experience:
Use High-Quality Quartz Bangers
A high-quality quartz banger will help to ensure that you get the most flavor out of your concentrate,
Quartz is an inert and heat-proof substance that won’t alter the flavor or aroma of your concentrates. It also retains heat longer than ceramic nails and titanium nails, giving you more time to enjoy each hit. Glass pipes are made from sturdy borosilicate glass, which is more durable than standard window glass and can withstand high temperatures without cracking or breaking apart.
Quartz bangers come in a wide range of shapes and sizes, so it’s essential for you to choose one that’s right for you. If you plan on using multiple types of concentrates or just getting started dabbing, we recommend choosing a large banger with a domed top that is easy to handle. If you prefer smaller dabs or want something more discreet, go for something more compact.
Use a Suitable Torch
A torch is a tool for applying heat to your concentrates, and it’s the best way to control your experience. The flame from a torch will heat your nail or nail-less plate and create an even distribution of heat across the surface of whatever you’re dabbing on.
To take the perfect dab, you’ll want to use a butane torch. Butane is the best fuel for dabbing because it has the lowest vapor point of all the common gasses used for torches, meaning that it’s easier to control and will not produce accidental combustion (although you still need to be careful).
There are many kinds of torches out there, and they all have different advantages and disadvantages. Some models come with interchangeable tips for different uses; others offer variable heat settings; some are battery-operated, while others run on gas or electric power. It’s essential to consider what kind of experience you’re looking for before deciding which type works best for your needs. If you’re looking for a torch with everything you need out of one device—precision flame control and Instant Ignition—we recommend the Blazer Big Shot GT8000.
Dab at the perfect temperature
Temperature is one of the most important things when it comes to dabbing. Many people don’t realize that dabbing at a lower temperature will allow you to experience the terpene flavor more than if you were to hit it at a higher temperature.
This is because higher temperatures tend to burn off the terpenes and other compounds that give your concentrate its taste and smell.
The ideal temperature for dabbing will vary depending on what type of wax or concentrate you are using. Still, lower temperatures are better for terpene extraction, while higher temperatures are better for full-spectrum extraction.
Use the right dabbing accessories
If you want to get the most out of your dabbing experience by tasting the full spectrum of terpenes present in your concentrate, a few accessories can help.
Terp Spinner
Terp pearls help you get the most out of your dabbing experience by evenly distributing heat and vaporizing your concentrates. This allows you to dab at low temperatures, which preserves more terpenes. They are a great way to swirl around your concentrate, ensuring maximum flavor and potency, plus they are a great look for your rig.
Bubble Cap/Dabber
The Bubble Cap is a small, easy-to-use accessory that fits on top of your quartz banger. The device works by creating a seal on top of your dab rig, which traps all of the vapors inside the chamber. This allows you to take a slow, deep draw from your rig with no fear of losing any vapor through exhaling too quickly or not drawing hard enough. With this device, you can take huge rips while tasting every drop of flavor from your wax or shatter.
Carb Cap
A carb cap is a dome-shaped piece of glass that fits on top of your dab rig’s nail head. It creates a vacuum seal, which allows you to take low-temperature dabs while preserving the terpenes in your concentrate. This works by preventing some of the heat from escaping once it’s been applied to the nail and also helps keep them in place, so they don’t evaporate or break down into other compounds.
A temperature reader
Temperature readers allow you to monitor the temperature of your nail during the dabbing process. A reading between 300°F and 450°F (149°C-232°C) is considered optimal for maximizing terpene release when inhaling vaporized cannabis concentrates.
Dabbing can be a fun activity for people with wide-ranging experience levels and interests. So, whether you are a seasoned dabber or a newcomer to the game, these tips will definitely help you get more out of your sessions.
Greeting, my precious cosmic blueberries! Who’s ready for some mind expansion as we plunge into the unknown depths of psychedelic experience and tasty smokin’? Join me, Penguin Pete, your Jester of Joints!
Penguin Pete’s Pop Hits of Pot is your guide to April 2022
A month which aligned Easter, 4/20, and Earth Day in the same week. Yeah verily, this is a greatly needed break for all of us innocent patients and potheads who just wanna chill with the dankest. We got a cannabis carnival going on out there on the dispensary scene for this year’s 4/20. Your humble blogger has smoked and vaped and huffed his way through mountains of distillate, edibles, and good ol’ country flower. Naturally you can imagine, if ever there was a 4/20 to blow out, it’s this year, right? Just feel that stress melt away!
Let me tell you first just how hard we work here at Dab Connection to bring you one of the most trusted review sources in the US cannabis industry. We smoke, bubble, vape, and chew our way through a whole bowl of THC edibles every morning for breakfast with milk and sugar. And we have flown the cosmos inscrutable and commuted with our ancestors. We smoke so much weed around here, Snoop can’t wait for our album to drop. I sort my nugs with a pitchfork for 4/20. Here’s one now, right before we tossed it on the barbecue:
OutCo Kush Mints / Do-Si-Dos Flower : potent and tasty!
OutCo‘s flower was our first stop on the Dabber Dasher express. These 2 weed strains are both from southern Cali. This is some potent stuff at 35% cannabinoids, giving a soothing, relaxed effect that mellowed your humble penguin right into the ol’ bean bag chair. But let the photos do some talking (sloppy though they be): Gaze upon this sunny bud of golden state dewy goodness, glistening with trichomes and a sweet, tasty tang. Let us be fair, this is potent punch with the Kush Mints THC giving it a kick like a mule. But more than anything, it reduced my stress to zero.
I had only begun my 4/20 2022 review shift (pity us, for we toil mightily for thy service) and sampled a rolled joint of OutCo flower. True to its effects, I was laid out in a state of couchlock, my mind not up to tasks more taxing than video pong. It’s a sturdy, satifying smoke, but deep Indica in breed, best left to when you don’t have stuff to do. And I still had more reviewing to do for 4/20! I steeled my resolve and soldiered on…
CBX Cannabiotics GM-Uhoh : Even more potent!
Good thing I was ready for the long haul, because CBX Cannabiotics has whipped up a concoction surely born of a mad scientist’s laboratory. This sneaky hybrid is a skunk bud. It smells dank and strong, with a musky and gassy aroma that promises to whack some sense into your noggin. This jar should just come with a hip hop soundtrack on Soundcloud and be done with it. Its punny strain name, GM-Uhoh!, was foreshadowing for the wicked trip I was about to embark on. This strain – GM-UHOH! – has a stupid name, but delivers a punch that will win your respect back.
The effects hit me like a true truckload of THC would hit anyone: I was stoned to the bone and this time less laid out, but not quite working in my present dimension. I assessed the pile of cannabis products waiting for my sample and appreciation. 4/20 is running over me like an out-of-control Mardi Gras float at this point, but dammit we’ll find a way to sort through this. I can still type, look there are keys! My keyboard is right side up and everything.
But thanks, CBX Cannabiotics! I must quote your “about” page: “a weed company with one specific goal in mind: to be able to provide their friends and family with the craziest weed they have ever seen or smoked.” I like a company who puts the work “crazy” right in their mission statement! GM-Uhoh is a skunky, powerful strain with an inspiring effect and juicy terpene goodness that soaks into your embrace like a welcome friend.
I had to hit GM-Uhoh one more time the next day for my morning wake and bake. Together with my morning espresso, a bongload went into my system like a fresh bowl of Wheaties. It put the tiger in my tank.
Verano Travelers series 0.3G disposable oil pen : Delicious, but gone too soon!
Verano should be no stranger to the august pages of our history of dab Connection reviews. We visited Verano’s Travelers line of oil pens way back in our archives, 2018, in a review by Javier Guzman (who has since moved on to further career aspirations). I added my 2¢ in an edited update on that page, but I will reiterate my findings here.
I am impressed with Verano’s enduring quality after all these years. That previous review was four years ago, and Javier’s findings were a mirror of mine. So kudos to Verano for sticking to their standards! The strain of Traveler’s pen I obtained was from an Illinois dispensary, but I lost track of the name somewhere in my THC-baked scribbled notes by now. I think it was Tangie. I tasted specifically the terpenes pinene or carene (they are close together, tree-based) and a hint of eucalyptol if I’m not mistaken.
The Verano Traveler disposable oil pen is an experience in smooth-vaping satisfaction. It has a rich flavor as if you distilled fresh squeezed pot juice with a process not unlike apple cider. It had a warm, rich, tea-like aroma and smooth hits. It’s mellow in the morning, soothing in the afternoon, relaxing in the evening, neither too strong nor too lightweight. Every drop of oil tasted as good as the first. The effects were not too couch-locky, but very mellow and soothing.
The Verano Traveler is a classy vape, the kind Cary Grant would enjoy while sipping a Manhattan, had he lived to see the technology.
BUT it is also still just 300 ml of oil, best for those who want quality over quantity. Hit it light and it will last a week, or hit it heavy for your fun day off. These Jupiter batteries are NOT meant to last for weeks! I see people comment all the time, “how come my oil pen battery died while there’s still oil left?” You did not vape it fast enough. Sorry, but it is a disposable at a reasonable price, and does everything I expect from an oil pen.
Interlude: Beaverdale Confections Munchie stop!
Cannabis like this, and sampling so much of it, tends to involve munchies as an occupational hazard. Normally your humble author is an almost-vegetarian salad muncher, content to satiate myself with herbs of the land. But once in a while, ESPECIALLY for 4/20, you gotta splurge on quality munchies, y’know? Yolo! So Penguin Pete personally commandeered the Dabber Dasher for the heart of his Midwest home stompin’ ground, central Iowa, to visit the magical hamlet of Beaverdale, Des Moines, at Beaverdale Confections:
Just had to give a shout-out for the best 4/20 munchies sustenance a stoner could ask for! These “pizzelle” deal-i-os are a kind of soft waffle-textured cookie, dipped in rich, deep Belgian chocolate! The gourmet marshmallows may seem off-beat, especially raspberry flavored, but once you try it you will see that this is how marshmallows are supposed to be done. BTW, I also got a roll of Necco wafers there, because I’m an old Generatioin X fart.
Well, let me tell you! This excursion fortified us well. True to my promises, we had secured the tastiest of sustenance and our cross-country adventure continued. And it’s good that we had prudently planned our itinerary, for the huge quantities of bong smoke hotboxing the RV windows would have choked a less stalwart soul. We were having trouble finding the road. Most especially we were distracted by the existential reality of driving on a road trip to sample pot, deconstructing the molecular components of the tar beneath our steel-belteds as we piloted our shaky voyage for yet more mind trips down the route 66 highway, shrieking at the flying monkeys in the sky in the hot desert sun.
Down a Rainbow Road straight out of Mario Cart, we arrived again in the twinkling land of edibles, in the heart of L.A., California, to sample confections of an entirely different kind!
Kiva Confections Lost Farm Gummies : Goblin’ Good!
This was the edible our mothers had warned us about:
The Minecraft zombie on my patented Penguin Pete bookshelf growled with hunger as he crept slowly towards the irresistible bag of delicious Kiva Confections Lost Farm edible gummies. “No! Bad zombie!” I shrieked, poking it away with my geeky Star Wars lightsaber (yes of course I have one). Alas, the zombie had munched through the bag like a cat pilfering treats, until we had but one left:
An unassuming edible from appearance, this confection closely resembles a Starburst fruit chew. Unwrapped, it smelled and tasted sweet and fruity, with a punchy taste. At 10MG per serving, the juicy strawberry chew promises a modest hit, not too heavy, with a full spectrum of live resin for an entourage effect.
The gummy was tasty and when its effects kicked in, my 4/20 holiday adventure was complete, with a tingling, persistent THC buzz to keep the mellow vibes going. Regrettably our greedy zombie beat us to most of this bag, but we may revisit the unknown parameters of Lost Farms again!
I have to pay extra kudos to Kiva Confection’s education resources. It’s good to see a brand that cares about public education and cannabis advocacy.
And now we turn the Dabber Dasher US nationwide tour over to Ben Chu, also in California, who did his reviews separately as listed in our main 4/20 2022 review and deals list.
Dabbers, Vapers, and Stoners: Stay Tuned for continuing 4/20 coverage!
By gumbo, let it never be said that we don’t work hard to research the United States cannabis industry to seek out the best for all you cosmic blueberries! Share your vibes and post your blazing hot takes here in the basic comments section or in our super high tech advanced forum.
Here it is, the end of 2021, and we’re another year older and not a bit wiser. Hard to believe that this is our second holiday season under a global pandemic, and we’re all just getting used to this being life now. But… at least we have our weed!
As is typical for any year in this amazing, fast-growing industry, 2021 brought us many new developments. We’ve seen delta 8 and its counterparts become the new darling cannabis organic compounds. We’ve seen many new pieces of legislation introduced in the continued slow progress towards total legalization. And of course we have spread more awareness about product safety in the cannabis industry, with news regarding regulation of dispensaries, testing labs, and cannabis extract brands. The fake carts are still out there, but you’re all learning to avoid them.
UPDATE before we get started, we have green Christmas wishes from Dr. Dabber’s own Santa:
— DabConnection 🌿🔥🌬️ cannabis media (@DabConnection) December 23, 2021
Well, let’s see what Santa will be packing into stockings for the stoners, smokers, tokers, dabbers, and vapers this year.
Content note: Our gift lists are limited to products that do not contain cannabis or cannabis derivatives. We keep it that way so that it’s applicable nationwide, and also legal to mail.
We don’t get a chance to spotlight many cannabis advocacy authors around here. This industry is still so new that your humble penguin can count others who, like himself, specialize in writing about the cannabis industry on one, er, flipper. So it’s a rare opportunity to find a whole book on the topic.
Maryann Loncar has been a tireless crusader for cannabis legalization and medical marijuana patients’ rights, enough to go straight to Washington and rattle some doorknobs. This book recounts her adventures and her advice to other cannabis advocates and activists. She offers her insights into how cannabis advocacy can be done, and tells the story of how her lobbying efforts swayed the Senators and Representatives of the State of Illinois (right here in the Midwest!).
Needless to say, this topic applies to anyone who is remotely interested in cannabis, whether their interest be pharmaceutical or recreational. If I had one magical Christmas wish, it’s that a bunch more activists used this book as a template to bring about similar change in their own state. Ents together strong!
And now on to the rest of the Holiday Gift Guide…
Products We’ve Reviewed On Dab Connection:
Here are the products we’re reviewed in the past year which we could vouch for quality stoner gifts. We remind readers that we take no kickbacks, commissions, or payment of any kind for reviews.
Here at dabconnection.com we always try to bring you the best cannabis industry-related reviews and news. A very important part of that is helping you, the users, spot fake products and avoid them. So we came up with the idea to make a mega list and cover all known fake carts out there. This list will be continuously updated.
The easiest way to search this list is to press CTRL+F and search the text of the cart you are looking for.
This list is made using data gathered by our main editor Pete who is an expert when it comes to fake carts.
Definitions of cartridges:
Legit – An actual company with a license and location Street / Black Market – A single-source unlicensed brand that does not appear on fake cartridge retailer listing yet Counterfeit / Faked – Knock-offs of legit brands Fake – A brand that appears to be completely baseless, sold only through fake cartridge retailer listings
Don’t buy THC carts online. Because of federal law, they can’t be shipped across states. If a site or an Instagram page offers shipment across states they are scammers and are selling fake products that you won’t probably even get if you pay for them. (side note: CBD and delta 8 are exceptions to the shipping rule, but even there you’re gambling.)

The difference between a QA / R&D lab test result and a California compliance COA is explained in detail here.
Our thanks go out to the Reddit and Blacklist.xyz cannabis-interest communities, whose vigilant street reporting has been an important tip line in this project.

Cons:

Paradise Wait is a mysterious creation
Today, I will be reviewing a Flower strain called Paradise Waits. Paradise Waits is one of many mysterious creations coming out of Humboldt County, CA. The team at Scarlet Fire Farms crossed their very own strain Scarlet Fire with Harlequin and Paradise Waits was born. The potency might vary, some reports have stated that had THC levels as high as 29%.
Getting your hands on real Paradise Waits seeds or clones is not really an option. Scarlet Fire Farms is a family-run operation who only grow using organic materials and are not likely to sell their seeds to whomever. So when I found out Trulieve had them on their “minis” (small buds) section last Monday at $27 an eight!!! I definitely had to place an order and bought a couple of jars.
The dominant terpene is myrcene but also contains caryophyllene, pinene, limonelle, linaleol.
This strain is an Indica dominant hybrid
At Trulieve this strain is an Indica dominant hybrid. The Color of the flower is light lime green with a lot of shiny golden trichomes. The trichomes at certain angles give the nugs an awesome wet-like look. Don’t forget the flaming orange pistils all over the flower buds. One thing I didn’t like was the buds weren’t sticky and were a bit dry.
The smell is really piney with strong orange citrus scents. When the nugs were broken down a “danky” gassy aroma mixed with a stronger citrusy more lemony smell. It reminded me a lot of “Lemon OG Kush” I got from Trulieve before.
When smoked the Citrus and gassy flavors turned into a skunky phunky tropical explosion of flavors. The smoke is smooth and even when taking huge bong rips; I didn’t get a coughing fit or felt it was rough on my throat. The effects were awesome! I felt relaxed and I was super mellow, in a happy mood. It really helped me with my anxiety. My day went smooth, I stayed home, watched movies, even took a nap. I would recommend this strain if you have insomnia or suffer from anxiety.
Concluding our review
In conclusion, adding all the Pros and Cons I give this flower strain a 7. The price is awesome at $27 for an eight! When it comes to flavor and fragrance this strain is where it’s at. Now as far as the freshness of the bud Trulieve dates, every batch is numbered to ensure their product is not old but the bud still feels dry! In my opinion, they should consider changing their packaging or maybe add some Boveda packs to maintain humidity at proper levels so the flower stays fresh. Other than the bud feeling dry everything else was awesome, from the flavor to the price to the effects.
This is a strain I would recommend you use if you don’t have much to do that day or if you plan to stay home and relax. The effects are really calming and as mentioned before if you have anxiety or problems sleeping a few hits of this will solve the problem!
So how to know if this product is good? Will I buy it again?
If you’re asking if I will continue to buy this product the answer is Yes.

Rogue River Labs, created and/or affiliated by Delta Alternatives, provides a variety of Delta 8 THC products, cartridges, and flavors/strains. In this review, we test out their Delta 8 cartridges and their D8 dripper. Furthermore, here we review their BDT (botanically derived terpenes) cartridges. Read more on our experience with Rogue River Labs and how we value them.
Pros:
Inexpensive
CCELL hardware
Effective and efficient hits
Cons:
Harsh hits, infused with BDT
Not very tasteful
Recommendations: Provide more terpenes inside the cartridge.
Rogue River Labs D8 cartridge gives decent effects and fair strength
After testing out all the different cartridges and strains provided, Rogue River Labs delivers some nice, light, and elevating effects. In comparison with other D8 carts and brands, the strength of these cartridges is good. With Delta 8 THC, for the most part, it will give milder effects than Delta 9 THC. It definitely won’t give you similar effects compared to a dispensary grade THC cartridge. But these carts will give you some light, mellow effects after multiple hits. All of the cartridges felt relevantly similar in strength, except for the Delta 8 dripper. The distillate dripper does feel more potent but also more tasteless.
All strains give a flower taste, may also deliver harsh hits
Between all of the products I’ve tried from Rogue River Labs, they may give some nice effects but can also taste pretty harsh. Especially after multiple hits and sessions, or just long rips, but you will get a few harsh hits here and there. Delta 8 THC is known for this, but we’ll talk more on this subject later on.
As for the taste of these cartridges, they all give somewhat of a dense flower taste. Not the most tasteful delta 8, these cartridges give more of a flowery taste regardless of which strain. At least with their BDT cartridges, all these cartridges do taste more natural and far from sweet. Some strains may be slightly sweet, but they still leave that flowery aftertaste.
Rogue River Labs Delta 8 THC infused with BDT (Botanically Derived Terpenes)
As mentioned earlier, the cartridges we have are infused with BDT, and of course D8 distillate. Rogue River Labs also provides a different line of cartridges, infused with CDT (cannabis-derived terpenes) for a slightly higher price. But these BDT D8 cartridges do deliver a bit harsher hits.
White Widow (Indica) cartridge
White Widow might have to be my personal favorite tasting out of them all. Delivering a slightly sweet taste, this strain doesn’t give as much of a flower flavor. This strain may hit a bit smoother, but can still be harsh after consistent or long hits. Disregarding harsh hits, White Widow still gives a good experience and some fair, mild effects.
Twisted Citrus (Hybrid) cartridge
Probably one of the most flavorful strains, Twisted Citrus gives a decent, zesty flavor. Not as strong in terpenes, but out of all the strains here, it almost gives the most flavor. Just like the other cartridges, it can be harsh after a few hits and delivers fair effects as well. Because it still leaves a flowery flavor, the after-taste wasn’t as good, but the flavor is still fair.
OG Kush (Hybrid) cartridge
OG Kush delivers a fair, flower-tasting flavor. Although all strains leave a weed-like flavor, this particular strain leaves the strongest weed flavor. Great flavor for those who enjoy the taste of bud or piney strains. But some might prefer a sweeter flavor over the flower taste.
Super Sour D (Sativa) cartridge
Super Sour D gives one of the simplest taste out of these cartridges. Not the worst tasting cartridge, but simply a bland flavor. Not very flowery tasting, and definitely not sweet. I would recommend a little more terpene taste to this strain. Still pretty effective and efficient, but Super Sour D was one of the least favorite tasting cartridges I like.
Sour Diesel Distillate Dripper- Flavorless taste, good strength
Being the strongest out of all the cartridges, Rogue River Labs D8 distillate drippers give some really nice effects and strength. It could be depending on how you hit it, but I felt as if it gives more effects than the cartridges themselves. Another thing is, these syringe drippers are infused with CBT (cannabis-derived terpenes).
I should say, the taste on this dripper is very plain and bland. More so than Super Sour D, but Sour Diesel gives almost no flavor if hitting directly off a rig or some sort. If mixed with other dabs, or perhaps a joint/blunt, it is pretty nice. But by itself, it’s just flavorless, following some fair effects for Delta 8.
For its price, good dollar value
The price for these cartridges only goes for $14.99, which is pretty cheap for a full gram of Delta 8. The full gram D8 distillate dripper is $10. In comparison to any other brands, the price range for a half to full gram cartridge can go anywhere from $20-$45. You might even find some good half grams for around $25, but Rogue River Labs might be one of the most inexpensive I’ve seen so far. If you are price-conscious and looking for some D8, this may be for you, or if you want to try it and not waste much money.
Concluding Rogue River Labs review
To sum up, Rogue River labs Delta 8 provides a good variety and inexpensive products. Their full gram BDT cartridge is at a pretty good price, and their distillate dripper is at a lower price. They do deliver some fair effects for Delta 8 and can be pretty efficient. But the main thing with these cartridges is the taste, some might enjoy the weed/flower-like taste. Personally, I wasn’t a huge fan the taste, and also these cartridges may deliver some harsh hits. But disregarding that, the price for them isn’t bad at all. You can learn more and purchase their products on Rogue River Labs website, here.

Currently, nothing hits harder than the Ducore. It’s a dual-core ceramic vaporizer cartridge made with THC oils in mind. Here we review it in detail and tell you what you need to know if you are considering using this hardware for your THC oil or if you are checking out something that uses it.
Pros:
Hardest hitting hardware out there
Hits are smooth even though hit hits hard
No inefficiencies in oil use
High build quality
Works with most batteries
Cons:
Uses a lot of oil per hit
Recommendation: If it were a bit slimmer it could fit more batteries.
Check out our video review below of the Ducore cart. Then keep reading on for the in-depth review.
Ispire’s Ducore is a unique piece of vape hardware that rips harder than anything
The first thing you notice on the Ducore cartridge is its thick stature. It almost looks more like an e-cig mod attachment than something made for THC and CBD oils. The design does not fit some batteries, like the CCELL Palm or Magic 710 that have part of the battery body encasing the cartridge. This is the case with the BBTank X and Left Coast Extracts cart as well.
However, the build quality on this device is extremely solid. Very thick glass, thick metal all around, there’s nothing cheap about the build here or anything that feels flimsy.
Strongest hits we’ve had so far
We had the Ispire Ducore cart filled with Jetty Extracts oil. Jetty makes strong oil, but there is some stronger oil out there like that from Cannavative or Kanji. The Kanji vape we also were using around the same time as the Ispire is stronger oil than Jetty by default. But load the Jetty oil into the Ispire, and it is just as strong.
This hardware shows that you can bring up the overall cart strength a lot just by having the right hardware. The oil that might be a second-tier on strength, when put on the Ispire become top tier.
Airflow is smooth even though it hits hard
We find that the Ispire does not have a harsh hit, although it is hard. You get massive clouds but without a bad cough. You can get the oil really hot if you want to, but just using the battery normally will get you much harder hits than any other vape hardware out right now.
Oil consumption is high but still efficient
One of the downsides of the Ispire Ducore is that it eats a lot of oil, fast. The oil is not wasted because really you are getting a monster hit out of it and you probably only need to take 1-2 hits where you would normally take 4-5 on the same il.
However, get some friends with a high tolerance and you will blaze through a half gram like you never have seen before. Typically with myself and our IL reviewer Javier smoking a cart together, it lasts about one day on a half gram. We blazed through a half gram of oil on the Ducore cart in about 4 or 5 hours. We were also super wrecked from it as well.
Had we paced ourselves properly we would have gotten the same effect out of the same amount of oil by hitting it less, because the hits are harder.
For some users, this might be too strong, but most people reading this review are going to prefer super strong. Just be prepared to space out your hits and don’t take as many hits. In the end, you should get about the same effect for how much oil is consumed.
Great taste delivery on the Duocore
I would put the taste delivery for the Ducore on par with CCELL, but a little bit behind the BBTank X. Since the X hit smoother, I do expect a better taste out of it. The taste on the Ducore is still excellent, you can taste the flavors of the THC oil and there’s no metallic taste coming off.
The Ducore cartridge is efficient despite using a lot of oil because it is not wasted. Our high marks on the Efficiency rating means it’s not wasting any oil. You will go through oil fast on the Ducore cartridge if you hit it a lot, but you don’t need to. The hits you do get are not wasted and you are just getting a much stronger hit per pull than any of the other cart hardware out right now.
The hole placement is near the bottom and when you are done with the cart, there’s almost no oil leftover inside. Plus they use a glass body that makes sure fewer oil sticks to the sides of the cart.
Skipping value section until we see it for sale
In many of our reviews, we put a value score for how good it is compared to how it costs. Since this is not out yet to the public for purchase, we’ll circle back to this part later.
Concluding our Ducore cartridge review…
Overall, the Ducore cart is a hard ripping machine, the hardest hitting cart out today. For those looking to get the strongest hit, it’s the top choice. If you are looking to get lighter hits and conserve your oil longer, it might not be for you.
You can learn more about the Ispire Ducore cart here. You can buy it here.
Readers, let’s hear your experiences with Ispire hardware here in the comments or in our forum.
As we have mentioned on here repeatedly, researching black market THC vape cartridges is a special kind of rabbit hole. We have to chase down rumors, false leads, misinformation, lies, and urban legends. None of this is helped by the fact that plenty of legit brands hide from the public even when they have nothing to hide.
We don’t know where to begin with DripTHC, AKA Drip Live Resin. We’ll just shovel facts onto this post as we dig them up.
There are DripTHC counterfeits
This is a fact acknowledged by an Instagram account with “DripTHC” in its name. We can’t be certain they’re the original DripTHC, because there is no end of Instagram accounts with “DripTHC” in their name. They post this:
They respond to reports of counterfeits of the Drip THC brand. And they promise to come up with new packaging that is going to be “UNFAKABLE”! Many a cartridge brand has made such a vow before, to say the least. Let’s all make everything UNFAKABLE, we’re right there with you.
That was posted two days ago as of this writing. The Blacklist report they refer to is this one, which calls DripTHC the “new boof cartridge brand.” The Blacklist.xyz seems to mostly have reposted content from other sources, but this one story is an original post on their own.
The original DripTHC doesn’t seem to be licensed either
Here is the closest thing we can find to an official website for DripTHC. However, that site links to a different Instagram account, which makes no mention of the counterfeit carts. That account does link to the GetDrip.live site, which the other account does not.
The Drip website posts a phone number whose area code and prefix tells us Downey, California. Off to the California licensing search fields we go, to find no license issued for this company.
DripTHC is not to be confused with the other Drip
Caveat: There IS another vape cartridge company called “Drip.” They work out of DripOils.com in Arizona, and produce a full line of cannabis products in addition to a vape cart.
The Drip THC Instagrams are loaded with garage operations
Let’s explain something very clearly: Legit cart companies do not have thousands of cartridges bundled together with rubber bands on shelving in somebody’s basement.
That’s a smoke alarm with a failing battery chirping in the background. The person making the video is apparently too sketched out to notice.
The same notice about the counterfeits does show up at @dripthc.oc, ANOTHER Instagram account declaring itself “verified.” And just look how many rubber-band boxes they show:
Well, what about this wall of rubber-banded carts, is this from the same account?
No, it’s from @dripthc.missionviejo, and that is the only, sole post at that account. How about this wall of rubber-banded carts with a soundtrack?
https://www.instagram.com/p/B-39SnDgr4n/
That’s from the Instagram account @dripthc.exclusive – the EXCLUSIVE one, you hear that?
This is all just the tip of the iceberg. The Instagrammers boasting DripTHC affiliation go on forever. We’re guessing they all work together because that is all clearly the same kind of shelving and same kind of rubber bands.
DripTHC’s lab results are blatantly fraudulent
The website has a tab for “lab results.” Two links, one leads to a CannaSafe page for R&D testing of terpenes from the Terpene Store performed for “Synergy Research Group” and not hosted at the CannaSafe website. This is fraud on several levels:
R&D testing is not California compliance testing
This is for a series of bottle of terpenes, not carts
The test was ordered by Synergy Research Group, which has nothing to do with these people
The results aren’t hosted at the CannaSafe website
The other link goes to a Bel Costa lab results page, again this is a QA page marked “For quality assurance purposes. Not a California compliance certificate.” The test was performed for “City Compassionate Caregivers” and tests a completely unrelated prescription vial. And again, is also not hosted at the Bel Costa website.
We see websites for black market cartridges do this kind of stunt all the time. It’s aggravating, especially when right after we post about it, somebody runs to take down the offending deception and then horns into our comments denying it. So this time, we figured we’d catch them in the act with a video!
Has anyone ever even vaped a DripTHC?
Here’s the unusual part: We find very few reports of users encountering DripTHC in the wild. We find one, two, and maybe a couple other passing mentions on Reddit.
We do find several online dealer websites with DripTHC or Drip Live Resin, the exact kind of sites we always warn are scams that don’t deliver.
Outside of that we find a couple YouTube reviews, but nothing like the scale of the average black market cartridge deployment.
We of course find no evidence of licensing for this brand, no way to determine who’s in charge, and no guarantee of the contents of these cartridges. It may be possible that the website www.getdrip.live is not run by the originators behind this brand. WHOIS domain info says the site was created September 8, 2019, with GoDaddy, for what that’s worth. We do find mentions of DripTHC that predate that website creation, such as this Instagram account whose posts go back to 2018.
We’ve seen enough, so we’ll stop here!
One thing is for sure, somebody has to sell all those fake carts, and this post on our site is about to cost them a lot of money as soon as we publish it. Watch the comments, they will show up and perform the usual fuming and threatening. Bring your popcorn!
Readers, join us in laughing at this fiasco in our forums.
