When we first tried out Srene, we did a brief video review. The carts were noticeably strong and did not have the greatest taste. Fast forward 6 months: taste is a bit improved, but strength is now super. It’s gone from strong to one of the strongest. The company is also known as Srene Crystal Peak, NV.
Pros:
High strength
Thick, long-lasting oil
Taste improved from previous versions
Cons:
Some room for improvement on taste.
Recommendations: Would like to see the taste come up a bit and a glass CCELL cart used instead of polycarbonate.
Check out our video review of Srene cartridges below, then keep reading on for the more in-depth review.
Srene carts are probably one-hitter-quitter for some
When I get a weak cart like the RAD Vape, I can hit it 10 times and almost nothing happens. Something that is a little bit better than average but not super strong, like the Cookies cartridges, I take about 7 hits.
Four hits on Srene and I am more than good. Srene has caught up to other top brands on strength. The first time I hit Srene carts they were a bit stronger than Cookies, now they are substantially stronger and on par with some of the best out there.
I can safely say hitting a Srene cart is stronger than hitting dabs off a rig a lot of the time.
Below are pics of testing information from the various Srene strains. They are all in the 80s for THC percentage.
Srene uses the same version of CCELL hardware as Ionic and VVG
Although I prefer the glass TH2 version, the mouthpiece Srene chose here does give superior airflow to the TH2 version. Monster rips are coming out of this cart from the start. Same thing happened on the Ionic and VVG carts. That extra airflow makes a difference.
Taste is decent on Srene, but not its strongest point
Taste is not the best ever, but I do like the taste better than Select Elite. I use Select Elite as a reference point since it’s a very common brand in multiple states and seems to have somewhat close cross-state consistency.
Srene is a distillate so it’s not going to compete with the sweet taste of MPX Live Resin or Fuze Live Resin, but on strength it’s very comparable. Compared to other distillates, its taste is average. Better tasting than The 55, not as good tasting as Cannavative or Roots.
Oil vapes slow and efficiently, lots of hits out of each cart
The oil is nice and thick in these Srene carts. It moves slow and is the opposite of the high liquidity we see on the RAD vape cartridge. Thickness is on par with all the other best cartridges in Nevada.
There’s no doubt at $40/half gram, Srene is a good value
Considering the slow vaping, long lasting oil and strong effects Srene carts produce, it is a good value. They’ve shown they are committed to improving carts further and further and I think it will become even a better value in the future when taste is improved.
Concluding our Srene cartridges review…
We’ve now been through two generations of Srene cartridges, the second definitely better than the first. Not every cannabis company goes that way. We’ve seen Stiiizy in California substantially decline in quality since its debut in 2017.
Srene I see as something that will continue to improve, but as is, it’s already a great cartridge. You can find more information about Srene on their instagram here since we could not find an official website for them.
Here we review the Utillian 620 vaporizer, a very well-built and portable dry herb vaporizer. At first, I didn’t expect much from it since it does have a relevantly small pack. But after packing it, I really did enjoy the high I got from this battery. From the taste it delivers to how smooth the hits are, Utillian did an amazing job creating this vaporizer.
Pros:
Hits smoothly and efficiently
Comes with a convenient stir tool attached to the battery
Amazing built design
Easy to clean
Cons:
None found
Recommendation: Perhaps multiple different coils to smoke both herb and dabs. However the Utillian brand has a variety of vaporizing products to smoke out of with different aspects and settings.
Check out the video review of the Utillian 620 below, and keep reading on for a more in-depth review.
What is the Utillian 620 Vaporizer?
The Utillian 620 is a convenient dry herb vaporizer, ideally for single-user sessions, and perfect for micro-dosing. This battery allows you to adjust the temperature to your preference, from anywhere between 160-220°C (320-428°F).
Opening this battery, the Utillian provides you with everything you need to keep the battery itself running efficiently. Furthermore, this vaporizer comes with a manual, an Android USB charger, an extra screen set, and two different cleaning brushes.
How to use it
At first, the Utillian 620 may seem a bit complicated to use, but it’s actually simpler than it seems. Simply press it 5 times to turn on or off and once it’s on, it will automatically start pre-heating. From there, you don’t have to press anything, simply set the temperature to your preference. As it heats up, it will indicate to you when it’s at the temperature you want by vibrating 3 times. From there, just keep hitting it until it automatically turns off.
As shown above, you can change various settings within this battery apart from just the temperature. You can change the temperature preference from Celsius to Fahrenheit in addition to the set time, duration (3-8 minutes). This allows you to adjust to the perfect, desired session of your choice.
Design and Build Quality: The Utillian 620 gives a smooth feel and built very properly
Utillian did a great job in assembling this battery. Apart from the battery having a nice grip and feel to it, they made it very simple to disassemble. This vaporizer has a magnetic sliding mouthpiece, allowing you to snap it open and pack your bud easily and efficiently. Another neat feature it comes with is a magnetic stirring tool located at the bottom of the battery. This allows you to stir your flower easily.
Because of the way it’s built, cleaning the Utillian 620 is very easy. Looking closer at the mouthpiece, they placed a screen right underneath it to prevent it from getting dirty. Additionally, to clean it you can detach the glass mouthpiece. Because it’s made of glass, cleaning it will be a piece of cake. You can even take apart the airpath to clean easily.
Air Path – Unique convention helix prevents clogging and allows for easy cleaning
Unlike other dry herb vapes, this one carries a unique and convenient air path design. As shown above, you can take it apart to allow you to clean more efficiently. The airpath this vaporizer provides helps maintain it clean. I’ve used it many times, and it never gets clogged when packing it the correct way. Along with that, you don’t even have to worry about cleaning it consistently, regardless of how many times you use it. Fortunately, this isn’t a device you have to clean after each use.
The Utillian 620 delivers stronger hits than expected
At first, when I disassembled the mouthpiece to pack my flower, I didn’t expect too much. Thinking that just because it is a relevantly small pack, it wouldn’t get me that high. But don’t be fooled, this vaporizer delivers unexpectedly strong hits.
At first it delivers smooth hits but taking long rips will get you coughing. This vaporizer can sometimes creep up on you and will get you really nice high. The fact that it’s a single-user session and you have to keep hitting it until finished, will get you pretty high.
This vaporizer burns very efficiently, giving you all the flavor in each hit
Conserving your flower makes it very easy to do with the Utillian 620. As mentioned various times, this device is made for single-use sessions, allowing you to pack .1-.2 grams of bud. It surprises me how high you can get with just a single pack.
Along with that, this vaporizer will give you all the flavor of your herb. Vaporizers are known to always do that, but some vaporizers end up giving a somewhat plastic flavor. Not with this battery, you really can taste your bud all throughout the session. The amazing thing I noticed is that this Utillian vaporizes all your herbs until it gets this brown color. Regardless of how orange and how much trichomes it has, I’ve never seen my bud get ashy. Rather it gets very dry and brown, which actually allows you to take out and clean easily.
Fairly portable and very discrete
Fitting perfectly on your palm, this vaporizer can be fairly easy to take around on the go. The only thing I’d watch for is dropping the mouthpiece, because it’s glass. Also, this vaporizer doesn’t really get you smelling too much. It may smell for a while, but the odor goes away quickly.
Concluding our Utillian 620 vaporizer review
Overall, the Utillian 620 vaporizer gives an amazing performance and has a great build quality, allowing easy packing and cleaning. The price for this product is $130, which is a decent price range compared to other high-end vaporizers.
Giving a unique experience, this battery is good for those who like smaller sessions and conserving their herbs. Apart from this, it comes with a one year warranty if anything were to happen to it. You can find more about Utillian 620 and buy it here.
Readers, you can share your own Utillian experiences here in the comments or in our forum.
Here we review the Hydrology9 vaporizer for dry herbs. It’s a cylindrical shape that’s between the size of smaller desktop vapes and a handheld. We found it to be a good product for those looking for an extremely smooth hit. Vaping is smoother than smoking and when you add water filtration on top, hits are ultra-smooth.
Pros:
Good temperature ranges
Very smooth hits
Cool light features
Cons:
Hits are not super hard
Recommendations: USB-C would be nice, but the long cable is still great.
Check out our video review below, and keep reading on for the more in-depth review:
Hydrology9 mixes vaping and bongs
The Hydrology9 is a complex device with a simple purpose: it’s a vape with bong features. It actually looks like a huge THC cartridge with small holes around the bottom of the water chamber.

Unique design to this vaporizer
Ground flower is loaded from the bottom by unscrewing the cap. Air flows from the bottom to the top, the vapor path going directly through water like it’s a bong.
The big difference between this and other water vaporizer setups I have seen is there are less moving parts. The other water setups involve a separate attachment. Here it’s completely integrated. If you rather just hit filtered all the time, this is a much easier way to hit.
More compact and accomplishing the same thing.
Twist at the bottom to keep ground buds fresh
The bottom portion of the vaporizer is where dry herb is loaded. When you load up the chamber a small metal piece sticks up into it that is connected to this turning mechanism. Then you can twist it to make sure the buds are vaping fresh and evenly.
I did not find any use for this as it vaped very evenly as is, but I could see this being useful if your buds were not that dry, like mine are right now.
Hydrology9 has a high-quality build
The body appears to be made of aluminum and there is a thick, heavy feel to it. The glass on the bong portion is also thick and does not seem like something that is going to break or crack easily from regular use. Cloudious9 did not go cheap on the build quality at all.
Hits are geared towards smoother rather than stronger
Even at the highest setting, the Hydrology9 is not a “massive rips” kind of vaporizer. Many people looking for a dry herb vape are not looking for massive rips anyway, they are looking for something smoother.
The Hydrology9 does just that. Super smooth hits, but not the most powerful. In my experience their cheaper, smaller device, the Atomic9 hits a lot harder. There’s no water filter on it, but the chamber is similar. The hits from the Atomic9 are denser and stronger, but not nearly as smooth.
Efficiency is as good as it gets
The Hydrology9 vapes everything evenly and thoroughly. It also has a metal piece that sticks up into the bowl that can be twirled around to get every last bit out of it. Given that the heating chamber is similar to the Atomic9, it probably does not need this. The Atomic9 without this feature still vaped evenly throughout the entire thing. That being said, nothing needs to be done to improve efficiency here, it’s great where it’s at.
Super long USB cable comes in handy
It might seem like a minor detail, but adding the extra-long USB cable makes it way easier to charge this and leave it on the table at the same time.
Portability is impressive for a “desktop” vaporizer
This dry herb vaporizer is more of a desktop than a handheld vaporizer. However, its compact enough to carry in your hand and take around with you. It also doesn’t seem to leak any water when it’s put in various positions.
Very clean, true to bud taste
There was nothing metallic-like coming out of the taste here like I have experienced on some vaporizers. Basically it tasted like the bud I was smoking, in this case a hybrid by Desert Grown Farms.
I could see taste getting skewed by dirty glass in the long term. So if you get this vape, make sure to keep the glass clean or you might get that old bong taste coming out of it.
Value hard to spot because it’s a one of a kind device
There’s really nothing directly to compare the Hydrology9 to. Both it’s water filtration and being a fairly portable “desktop” vaporizer, it’s in a class of it’s own. Priced at $199, it’s cheaper than the Crafty, but more expensive than some smaller portable vapes. Overall, it’s cheaper than most desktop vapes.
Warranty is for 2 years, longer than most vaporizers
Most vaporizers are only warrantied for a year. Adding that second year on there does add to the value of the Hydrology9.
Concluding our Cloudious9 Hydrology9 review…
Overall, the Hydrology9 vaporizer is a good product. Hits are smooth, build quality is excellent and it evenly vapes all the bud in the chamber. It’s also got a nice compact form factor for a desktop vaporizer, adds a nice water filter and there are no leaks.
The Yocan Evolve 2.0 is such a simple and easy device to use, you won’t have any sort of complication with it. It’s a similar-looking Yocan Trio. This all in one vaporizer is a one-touch button and can be used for three different purposes; concentrate, e juice, and thick oil. Here we talk more about the pros and cons of this Yocan.
Pros:
Simple and easy
Discrete
Convenient
Cons:
Gets clogged easily
Top piece fragile
Button may get stuck
Recommendations: Perhaps having a lock when placing the pod with the battery rather than it being magnetic.
The Yocan Evolve 2.0 Vaporizer gives everything you need for any vaping needs
Unpacking this Yocan I could tell that his was going to be a simple and easy battery to use. And it is a very simple dab pen, but it also comes with three different kind of pods for different uses along with a charger.
Comes with a concentrate pod, an e juice pod and a thick oil pod
First off, the primary pod it comes with is the concentrate pod. This is the all black pod, and it comes with 2 quartz coils. Because it’s a double quartz, it does give decent rips. There are a few cons about this pod, one is that the mouth piece gets clogged very easily. Another thing is the top piece from the pod, it may slip off easily and is somewhat fragile. I dropped it once the right when I got it and it ended up cracking. Last, right before you know to replace your pod, the wire might start coming apart and it will hit a lot weaker. You will easily be able to tell when you need a new pod simply by looking at the quartz coil inside the pod.
As for the other two pods, one is for e juice and the other is for thicker oil. Pretty self explanatory for the vape juice. As for the pod that has a green plastic inside it, this pod is meant to be used for thicker oil. Oil such as distillate, CBD juice, etc.
Simple design and very easy to use
The Yocan Evolve 2.0 is a very easy and straightforward device to use, it’s just like any other vape/dab pen. Simply press the button 5 times to turn on and off. Press the button 3 times to change the temperature settings and 2 times for 10 second auto heat. With the auto heat, I wasn’t a huge fan just because I personally felt that it would hit lighter rather than just holding on to the button.
As for the design, it does look a lot more like a vape rather than a dab pen. This can make it very discrete, unlike other dab pens that have a glass tip or mouth piece.
Low temp gives more taste while high temp gives more smoke
When you put the temperature setting to the white light (low temp) the taste is at its best. Mid temperature will still give a good taste, but low temp gives a lot more flavor to it. Aside from that, it can conserve your dabs if you need to.
As with high temp, you’ll have to pack it a lot just because if you don’t, than you might either get a harsh hit or burnt taste just because you didn’t pack it enough. But when you pack it just right, it gives a very strong hit following with thick smoke. Not too strong or harsh, but the right temperature.
Smooth and efficient hits
As mentioned earlier, this dab pen has 3 different temperature setting modes you can change. It doesn’t necessarily say the exact temperature, but it shows by changing the color of the light. There’s white for light hits, blue for medium and green for the strongest temperature setting.
Honestly all of them surprisingly hit really nice and smooth. The setting I mainly use for dabs is the blue, mid temp. It gives a really smooth dab and provides fairly thick smoke. The strongest option is good too, but it will just finish most of your dabs a lot quicker than using the other two options. As with the lowest temperature option, it still gives very good and smooth hits. Surprisingly, it gives thicker smoke than I’d expect it to. This option is amazing for trying to conserve your concentrate.
For it’s price, this Yocan is definitely worth it
The price for this Yocan Evolve 2.0 is $34.95 and for this price I think it is well worth the cost, especially if you like vaping e juice, CBD and/or distillate. Obviously there are more dab pens that hit stronger but with that they will be more pricey. Apart from that, this battery is the only battery I’ve seen where it comes with three different pods for different vaping purposes. Usually every dab pen comes with multiple pods, but only for concentrate purpose. This is the only dab pen I’ve personally seen where it comes with a pod to vape, let alone a pod for thick oil/distillate.
Overall, the Yocan Evolve 2.0 is a convenient and discrete battery
If you’re looking for something inexpensive, convenient and discrete, I highly recommend you to try this battery for yourself. As mentioned earlier, the fact that it comes with three different pods for different vaping purposes just makes it much better. The concentrate pod itself is still very good and efficient if that’s the only reason you’d want it for. Regardless, the simplicity of it and different types of pods it comes with is the main reason I personally like it. You can get the Yocan Evolve 2.0 Vaporizer here.

Vessel is a company in Carlsbad, California, making vape batteries that work particularly well with CCELL cartridges, the most popular type of cartridge hardware currently out for THC and CBD oils. They recently came out with the Vessel BASE, a charging station that works with their line of vape cartridge batteries.
Here we review the BASE and help you make a decision as to whether it’s worth the price for your typical Vessel owner.
Pros:
All oil goes to the bottom of the cart for more efficiency
Sleek design
Chargest fast
Cons:
Expensive for a charger
Recommendations: It could be a bit cheaper, but Vessel is known for making higher-end, more expensive products.
Check out our video review below, then keep reading on for a more in-depth review.
The Vessel BASE charges quickly and keeps carts efficient
The Vessel BASE is a small stand with a dock for the Vessel line of batteries. It’s a simple little round base that plugs into a USB-to-USB-C cord. The standard USB portion plugs into a powered USB port and the USB-C portion plugs into the base.
It looks nice and fits on any tabletop space, such as your nightstand. The price on the website is listed as $35, about what you’d expect for most electronics single-dock charging stations.
It’s a nice concept because the Vessel battery sits on its end upright. If you have a cartridge on top, as the battery charges, the cartridge will keep the oil flowing to the bottom of the cartridge.
The concept is similar to the Cartsdom or CartBudy, storing cartridges upright, but smartly combining a battery charger into the same effect.
We’ve had good things to say about Vessel hardware before
See our previous Vessel battery review and see why we name it one of the best batteries for cartridges. The Vessel is our top recommendation for CCELL 510 threaded vape cartridges. Their airflow is smooth, their batteries are long-lasting, and the Vessel line is designed to fit a variety of cartridges.
Not to mention that the Vessel line just looks awesome. They come in a variety of designs and styles, from futuristic metal to handsome wood grips with a classic design. It looks a lot better and is easier to carry than a mod battery.
The Vessel BASE is a practical.
It’s not too much of a stretch to call Vessel one of the highest build quality brands out there. The Vessel BASE continues the Vessel blend of solid technology encased in appealing aesthetics.
The $35 price might be a bit high, but if you consider you do not have to take out the cart you are currently using over and over and stand it upright or put it in a holder, it makes up for the cost with time saved.

The Javelina cartridge has great quality oil inside it. You can tell by its taste and by putting it on the right battery that it’s a good cartridge and they’re trying to make a quality product. The problem with the Javelina cartridge is on some batteries, it just doesn’t hit well due to the unique hardware. However, when you use the official Javelina battery, it hits exceptionally hard.
However, if you have a battery that will put it in the right settings, Javelina cartridge will give strong effects and it is a good quality cartridge. The strain we used for this review is Tangie Durban, a cross of twosativas, Tangie and Durban Poison.
Pros:
Quality oil
Strong effects on the right battery (4.2 volts is optimal setting)
Very efficient
Cons:
Some batteries don’t hit as well on this cart
Recommendations: Glass cartridge body would be nice.
In CO, like what we have found on the APEX RemPen cartridge, they chose to use some other non-standard type of hardware that looks like its better but really isn’t.
We later tried the Javelina cartridge again with the official Javelina battery, and it hits awesome. Harder hits than any of the other batteries we tried, plus this battery rips in general on other brand carts as well.
Build quality and design are good: Hits strong on the official battery.
The Javelina cartridge has a good design when it comes to efficiency. The rest of it is not so great. It’s too thick to fit on some batteries, and on top of that, it doesn’t really work properly unless you have the right battery. The proper range for most cartridges is 3.7 to 4 volts and many work fine on a pull draw.
However, the Javelina cartridge seems to perform best at 4.2 volts. We probably could go a little bit higher but we don’t want to push it and possibly burn it out. Plus at 4.2 volts it gives a hit that is close to what you will get from a CCELL cartridge.
It even performs better on their own stick battery. I am assuming the higher range of that battery is around 4.2 volts.
The Javelina cartridge hardware hits hard at the right settings and with the right battery.
The hardware on this cartridge just doesn’t work out that well. The oil quality on this is awesome as we discuss below but changing this hardware could make the Javelina one of the best THC vape carts available.
It’s overall a good cart because the oil is so good, but CCELL or another hardware setup would hit harder even when you got the right settings for the Javelina cart. Although not the most efficient, this oil on a Dart or Uno pod would be excellent.
Oil quality from Javelina is top-notch
Javelina claims that it is a refined distillate and it definitely tastes like it is. Throughout the duration of the cartridge, the oil quality stayed consistent and color changes were very slight, unlike what happened with Brass Knuckles where there was more prominent color changing.
Only when it got to the very very bottom and we were really vaping it hard to the last drops, it will look like the oil quality might have changed.
Overall, there’s nothing to complain about the oil quality for Javelina, in fact only things to praise. The oil quality overall is excellent and it lives up to the quality that we’ve come to expect from CO cartridges.
Not strong on some batteries, but change the battery and it’s great
When you vape a Javelina THC cart on most standard batteries, it really not going to hit that good. I tried it on the SteamCloud EVOD, which was also variable, but it did not perform well. I tried it on a standard pull draw batteries and the hits were not strong either. Not until I put it on the YoCan UNI Pro did I get really good hits out of it and when I set it to 4.2 volts. I did not have my Vessel battery with me for this review, but I bet that one would do well also.
At 4.2 volts on YoCan UNI Pro, this cartridge hits great and it’s very strong. However, you have to judge the cartridge out of the box. for most people, they don’t have different batteries lying around to try out. Most people are going to have a standard eCig battery or something like the CCELL Palm or Silo, which won’t even fit the Javelina. Mod battery users will like this cart.
I should add that you should probably get the official Javelina battery with this cartridge. That guarantees you will get strong hits.
Taste is awesome on the Javelina cartridge
The Javelina cartridge uses real cannabis terpenes and does not have any artificial flavoring. It does taste excellent, even if you’re on a battery that doesn’t work properly with it, it’s still going to give out a great taste. Absolutely nothing to complain here about the taste. I would put this on the top 15% of the good-tasting cartridge out there.
Javlina hardware is efficient
The way that the holes are placed at the bottom makes the Javelina cartridge very efficient. The holes are long and sideways. They’re placed very well. Can’t complain about efficiency here as far as actual oil getting out of the cartridge.
The only complaint that I have for efficiency is that if you are using a battery that doesn’t just do well with this cartridge, you will not get an efficient hit because every hit is not that hard.
Number of puffs are good
The number of puffs is really good no matter what battery you use. On a weaker battery, it’s gonna last much longer. On a stronger battery, at least you are getting a very significant puff per draw. Overall, the number of puffs is good either way.
Value is excellent
The value on the Javelina cartridge is good if you have the right battery to pair it with. It was $40 plus tax in a licensed Colorado shop. There are other options in CO with the same price that already have better hardware, but if I have the right battery Javelina is something I would pick up again.
Weighing awesome oil, great taste, and when paired with their battery it hits awesome, I would put the value at excellent. If you already have the right battery and you have seen this review and you already know how to get the right battery for it, the value will go up to above average since the oil is really good and it is a strong cartridge. Hitting this cart on the wrong battery would give a worse value.
Concluding our Javelina cartridge review…
Overall, the Javelina cartridge is great or not so great depending on the battery you have to pair with it. If you are reading this review before buying it, make sure that you have a battery that can adjust to 4.2 volts, and that’s how you’ll get the best hit out of it. Or get the official Javelina battery and you are certain to get awesome hits.

When it comes to stereotypical bogus cartridge brands, Monopoly should be so obvious as to barely be worth mentioning. The packaging is beyond ridiculous, it wantonly rips off copyrighted material from any and all sources, and it’s not offered through any legit source.
Monopoly Carts are everywhere
Pictured here, clockwise from top left: Scrooge McDuck, Richie Rich, Betty Boop, Scrooge McDuck again, Uncle Pennybags the Monopoly board game mascot, Betty Boop in Marilyn Monroe cosplay, Richie Rich again, and Jessica Rabbit from Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
Add the Pink Panther to the above cast.
Several iterations of the above, plus Popeye.
Not all Monopoly Carts copy cartoon characters. These have illustrated artwork, but what’s interesting is they seem to be using Scrooge McDuck’s portrait in Uncle Pennybags’ place in the Monopoly logo. Really, the art’s so blurry that it’s hard to tell.
Dead giveaway of a black market brand: Photoshop skills of a 12-year-old circa 2002.
Another one: Hybrids with another black market brand, in this case, Cereal Carts.
Now for once, Betty Boop is not an example of typical street carts’ copyright infringement. That’s because Betty Boop is considered somewhat of a public domain character, at least as far as vintage artwork goes.
Monopoly is a popular board game
The tabletop board game has a history going back to 1935, originally published by Parker Brothers, and later bought up by Hasbro. It’s spawned a minor franchise and does indeed get licensed for all kinds of cross-promotional products, from McDonald’s restaurant contests to gambling slot machines. THC cartridges, however, is stretching credibility a bit.
Taking a familiar classic board game popular with families is a good example of these black market brands targeting kids, which fuels media concerns, trickles up to government officials, and causes them to think all vape products target kids and should be banned.
Recently, a lawsuit filed against nicotine vape company Juul charges that the company targets kids. That may be here nor there, but knock-off cartridges exist for Juul and any vape brand. If it’s that difficult to tell counterfeits from real brands, then one can imagine the confusion caused in a jury charged with deciding if a company is actually targeting kids, or if ancillary products produced on the black market that claim to speak for the company are the culprit.
Empty Monopoly Carts are for sale online
The obligatory DHGate and Alibaba go without saying. But you know it’s really bad when it shows up on Amazon.
…that link, by the way, is now taken down! Somebody at Amazon finally noticed.
Reports have been posted on sites like these, with one user complaining of trouble breathing, headaches, and chills. We hope that guy got to a hospital, in light of recent news.
Vaping unregulated carts are gambling with your life!
We’ve seen this black market cart phenomenon go on for years now, and yet they keep happening, so they must be making money somehow. This means that a whole lot of you out there are breaking the first rule of Vape Club: “Don’t inhale anything obtained from anywhere but a licensed dispensary.”
The dangers of street THC vape carts are of course that the oil could contain anything at all. The recent headline news about deaths and hospitalizations from lung injuries has raised awareness about this story, of which we are proud to have been one of the earliest reporters. More recently, the CDC has concluded that vitamin E acetate, a common illicit vape cart additive, is indeed the chief cause of these lung injuries.
The lung disease from vaping is now known by the acronym EVALI, for “e-Cigarette / Vaping Associated Lung Injury” or sometimes VAPI, for “Vaping Associated Pulmonary Injury.” As of 11/5/29, there were over 2K cases of VAPI reported across the US, with 39 confirmed deaths.
The age range for VAPI cases is 13-75 years, with nearly 80% of cases striking individuals who are lower than age 35. The deaths have ranged as young as age 17.
Find licenses in your state! (or why they don’t exist in your state)
We’ve recently gone to extensive trouble to track down every US state’s cannabis policy, regulating agency, and list of licensed facilities where applicable in the Cannabis License Directory. We compiled this list to answer your questions:
“Where can I fill this medical marijuana prescription?”
“Is this shop legit?”
“Is this cartridge licensed in this state?”
“Are the CBD shops in my town legal?”
“What is the official cannabis policy in my state? (And who do I yell at about it?)”
We do this to make it easier for all of you to follow our advice about only trusting licensed facilities. Also, we understand that not everybody lives in a legal state, but very soon it’s going to come down to where a legal cartridge is available to anyone with only a few hours’ drive. If you want things to change in your state, vote with your feet and your wallet.

Left Coast Extracts is an Oceanside, California based cannabis extract company that is known for producing concentrates, vape pods, and vape cartridges. Here we are reviewing their THC vape cartridge. Left Coast Extracts is currently available only in California.
Something about this cartridge seems to make it last forever. I’ve been able to hit the same cartridge a long time and the oil vapes very slow while the hardware still provides huge rips.
Pros:
Good oil quality
The oil lasts really long
You can see everything on the cartridge
All glass cartridge
Cons:
The cartridge could break if you dropped it hard enough
Does not fit on some battery types like the CCELLPalm and Silo
Recommendations: Make a smaller version that would also fit on different batteries.
Left Coast Extracts cartridge is unique and hits great
From the quality of their hardware to the oil itself, everything about this cartridge turned out to be great. Something about it makes it lasts super long. The oil seems to last longer than any cartridge that I have tried. The fact that you could see everything, nice and clear is also cool. Maybe the logos can be adjusted and look a little bit different, but other than that this cartridge is good all around.
For this review, I used a battery that was less than optimal and definitely not my favorite battery, the SteamCloud EVOD. There’s nothing special with this battery, its pretty much very similar to the type of battery that you would pick up from a gasoline station. We’ll talk more about how it ties in below.
Design and build quality is unique to Left Coast Extracts, and it’s great
This has to be one of the best cartridges design that I have seen so far. Complete glass, from top to bottom where your oil is sitting in the best possible position it can be in. I also like that you can see everything. I guess the only downside would be, you probably can’t take this apart. Once it’s filled, it’s filled and that’s that.
However, the hardware seems to be very reliable. There have been no issues with it and it hits consistently the whole way through. Considering that I’m using a battery that’s less than optimal and it’s still hitting this good, I can only imagine how much even better it can be if I had a good battery on this cartridge.
It could possibly break if you dropped it, but I haven’t yet
I actually ended up dropping this cartridge even though I tried not to. It does have a rubber seal around the top that will break some of the fall if you drop it. I dropped it twice, none of those were super high drops. Probably around 3ft – 4ft height of drop onto a wood floor and nothing happened. I was happy about that.
A heavy enough battery with a hard enough floor might break it. However, the glass is really thick, so I don’t know if it will break much easier just because the top is glass than you would on a regular CCELL or other glass cartridges.
So, this is just more glass, but a substantial fall is still gonna break a glass cartridge anyway and the glass on this cartridge is substantially thicker than I’ve seen on any other cartridge. So don’t think it’s weak until you feel it in your hand.
Contrast that with the SoKiss Cartridge that we did not post a review on because it cracked halfway through when I used it. On the design, they could maybe make the logo in one spot or have it listed around as opposed to all over. I would like just to see more of just straight oil, and I think that would stand out more.
Oil quality is excellent, no changes on consistency at all
Throughout the entire duration of this cartridge, the oil looks exactly the same. No consistency change in oil like I found on Brass Knuckles.
Strength was great on the Left Coast Extract cartridge
Left Coast Extract cartridge is strong because of two things: using great hardware and great quality of the oil. Even with the use of the battery that was not my top choice, it still hits very strong and is on par with a lot of other strong cartridges. The effects were unique and it did not make tired at all, it had a great amount of energy to it. The strain tested here is Gelato, a hybrid.
The taste was pretty good, not flavored
The taste on this cartridge was much better that you would find on most CO2 oils. It’s not flavored like you would find on the standard AiroProdistillate cartridges and it also is not a live resin taste because it is a distillate cartridge.
So, it does rank below brands like Raw Garden, Remedy, and Binske on taste but I rather take a stronger cartridge and this is stronger. Taste is comparable to most other distillate cartridges that have lighter color oil. It definitely tastes better than Brass Knuckles, Cookies, Loud+Clear, Select Elite, and I would say the taste is about on par with Stiiizy. Overall, the taste is not bad at all, but not the best.
Left Coast might be unmatched on cart efficiency
This cartridge hits good on even not that great batteries and oil is fitting from the very bottom. Doesn’t seem that they can improve much on the efficiency side on this cartridge at all. On top of that, it’s using all glass so less stuff sticks on the sides. You probably gonna end up hitting this down to the last drop.
Number of puffs so far is highest
I should know that we are using a full gram cartridge for this review. However, in comparison with other full gram cartridges, this thing seems to vape forever. The oil just goes down really really slow.
It’s not actually the slowest moving, most thick distillate that I’ve ever seen, but for some reason, you get fat clouds with this cartridge and the oil vapes really slow.
Value is good considering how long the oil lasts and unique, quality hardware
The fact that the oil just vapes so slow in this cartridge makes this cartridge of good value. I would say that this cart could last even two times longer than some of the other faster-burning cartridges that I have before. The hardware and slow vaping oil combo make for good value.
Concluding our Left Coast Cartridge Review…
When I first posted a pic of the Left Coast Extracts cartridge, some people have stated that it is a street brand and it was unregistered. That turned out not to be true, it is registered in California and they’re making legit tested products. Now that I have tried their cartridge, I could say its awesome. The hardware is great, the oil seems to last better and the taste is decent. Not much more you can ask more from the cartridge.
Another note on Left Coast is their pods are cross-compatible with Stiiizy but hit stronger. I do think the cartridge is better than their pods substantially though. This new hardware might be the best piece of vape hardware out right now.

The Fuego vape pen is an all-in-one dose pen filled with live resin sauce. The sauce is a small batch of full-spectrum distillate from premium craft cannabis. This premium cannabis is grown by experienced, licensed California cultivators. I believe the Fuego vape pen is fairly new. They are manufactured by Elite Molecular Inc. and I only find them available through Eaze. I believe they are only available in California.
Pros:
Excellent live-resin
Tastes complex like a fresh bud
Super nice high
Discreet design
Cons:
Small tank on the pen
Recommendations: I say a .5-gram tank would be perfect
See below our video review on the Fuego vape pen. Continue reading to see our more in-depth written review.
The Fuego vape pen is really great overall
The pen is compact and it feels very substantial. The distillate is delicious and has a sweet floral aroma. This pen vapes smooth and decent sized clouds. Black letters spell “Fuego” along the length of the battery, for a discreet design.
The design doesn’t push any boundaries but it is very nice to hold
The pen seems mostly plastic but the battery is pleasantly heavy and feels really smooth to the touch. The Fuego vape pen feels like it’s made of marshmallow. The mouthpiece is about half the size of the tank and has the same soft feel as the battery. Fuego vape pens have a bright indicator light underneath that is visible in daylight.
The pen heats very evenly and doesn’t suffer from overheating
Fuego vape pens have a thick cover over their batteries. I thought the cover would make it overheat easier, but the pen never feels hot. The pen stays cool even if I take repeated hits. The vape is never too hot or harsh and the flavor comes. through really well.
These pens have a very small tank that finishes quickly
I don’t like .25 gram tanks of any dose pens and Fuego is no exception. I smoke pretty heavily and I can empty a Fuego vape pen in about a day. It doesn’t help that the delicious live resin in Fuego vape pens makes it difficult to slow down. The pen is perfect in a pinch, but the size of the tank limits the pen in some situations.
The best part is the Fuego vape pen has amazing sauce quality
The distillate is a nice and clear golden brown color with excellent consistency. It isn’t as golden as some, but Fuego vape pen sauce is more well-rounded. It’s less runny and has a more natural taste to it. The sauce in Fuego vape pens doesn’t leave a chemical taste on the tongue like some distillates.
The live resin has exceptional flavor and tastes like flower
When I take a dose of my Fuego pen I taste flower. Fuego fills their pens with a full-spectrum sauce. Their high-end distillation process separates a broader range of cannabinoids and terpenes, giving the final product a wonderfully complex flavor. The fruity citrus and floral flavor remind me of a really good sun-grown Forbidden Fruit.
Fuego vapes have a very good high despite a relatively low potency
I didn’t expect my pen to give me an overwhelming high since it tested at 65% THC and I was right. The Feugo vape pen is not overwhelming but it is very potent. The high lasted about one and a half hours and it’s a nice even high. It’s physically and mentally relaxing, helping me coast through everything. If you want to try something similar with slightly more kick, Friendly Farms is a good choice.
Fuego pens are not expensive and they are an ok value
Fuego is less expensive despite having a similar-sized tank as other pens. However, the price-to-puffs ratio is more or less like DomPens but at a slightly cheaper price. Value is an issue for someone like me who can finish the pen in a day. And I think if I buy two Fuego pens at a time I’ll just smoke both the same day.
They have better value if you use them like a portable joint
Fuego vape pens are perfect for irregular use. They are discreet and good to use on a busy weekend or a nice hike. They are compact enough to take to a wedding unnoticed. Fuego vape pens are joints but without the hassle of lighting and diminishing taste.
Longer hits mean bigger doses and fewer puffs
The packaging for Fuego vape pens suggests a 2-second pull is a dose. For me, that pull is too small and I take 4-second pulls. These pens are not for anyone who wants big puffy clouds, but I still get good-sized hits. I only have to take 2 nice hits and the high slowly sets in.
I would definitely buy Fuego again
The pen is disposable and plastic with a small tank. But the live-resin is worth the experience. The sauce in Fuego vape pens vapes smooth but it’s a fairly small amount. For 25$ Fuego pens offer premium live-resin with delicious taste. I am not going to buy these pens every day, but I will get them regularly for a quick sauce fix.
Concluding my review of Fuego vape pens
I had a great experience overall. I really enjoy the flavor of the sauce in Fuego vape pens. This pen fits well into anything I have to do throughout the day. I have an issue with the size of the tank, but that goes for every disposable with a .25 gram tank. With Fuego vape pens i pay for taste and that sauce is delicious, making the pen well worth the price.
Fuego doesn’t have a website as of finishing this review but you can check availability in your area with Eaze.

Sugar and Kush is a CBDshop located in New Jersey. They sell various CBD products, primarily on their website. From multiple CBD oil flavors to gummies, they even sell CBD cookies. This company has the quality and one of the most tasteful CBD I have ever tried. Here we look more into Sugar and Kush’s CBD tincture oil.
Sugar and Kush give a very easy and tasteful way to take CBD
There are many ways to consume CBD and there are many different types of tinctures out in the market. These tinctures make it very easy and efficient to consume, all you have to do is put some underneath your tongue, wait up to 30-60 seconds and then swallow the oil. There are other efficient ways to take CBD, for instance, the Elevate CBD strips which dissolve quickly into your tongue.
Regardless, CBD oil is known to be one of the most efficient ways to consume CBD in the market. Sugar and Kush contain no THCat all, has 1000 mg of oil, and claim to be lab tested. What this brand prides itself on the most is the quality of its oil.
Sugar and Kush Cotton Candy has an amazing, sweet taste
The best thing about this company is that not only do they provide quality CBD, but the oil is also very tasty. Compared to other companies that I have tried, this particular flavor has to be the best-tasting one I have yet to try. It does contain artificial flavors, but it doesn’t taste too sweet or artificial one bit.
Furthermore, usually, CBD tinctures give a strong oil flavor to it, making it unsatisfying for some people. But this flavor isn’t strong one bit. Rather, it gives a nice and lightly sweet, cake-like flavor. Personally, it tasted more like cake than cotton candy to me, but regardless it still is great. It is also low on calories, so for those who have a sweet tooth and watch what they eat, you will enjoy this a lot.
Quick and straightforward to use, but doesn’t always kick in as instant
With most CBD tinctures, it can take up to 20 minutes to take effect. Because you place it under your tongue, this absorbs the oil the best and makes it more effective and efficient. But for some people, you won’t even feel anything the first few times you take it. Instead, you’ll start feeling it weeks later, once you’ve built a routine of taking this daily.
Unlike Choose Your Emotions, those CBD strips did feel instant, giving effects seconds after you take it. Consuming this oil may be one of the most efficient ways to take it, but as mentioned earlier not everyone will get the effects as instant as others.
Overall, Sugar and Kush are well worth the experience
To sum up, Sugar and Kush Cotton Candy is definitely worth the oil. Apart from all the health benefits that CBD can provide, it just has such a sweet and satisfying taste to it. I have never tried any tincture as flavorful as this brand. The cost of this is $44.95 which is actually a really good price. Compared to other CBD oils, it can go up to $60 to even $100 for a bottle. If you’ve been needing something to help with anxiety, I highly recommend you try this CBD oil.

Today we examine two devices: Dr. Dabber’s Switch and Puffco’s Peak. Both are close to the same price point (currently $20 less on the Puffco side). Both are loaded with features, and both are close to the most elaborate rigsthe average consumer would invest in. So who comes out on top?
Below is the video by Dab Rat Labs, and keep reading on for the written break down.
Comparing the Dr. Dabber Switch and Puffco Peak
Dab Rat Laboratories takes a dab of RSO+GOshatter, an alcohol-extracted full spectrum cannabis oil, to test both devices. While these aren’t the same type of device, it’s an even enough comparison for dabbing.
A huge rig billed as “the next generation of vaporizer,” the Switch is an all-in-one rig for both oil and herb.
Pros:
Good tabletop device.
Uses induction heating so you never have to replace a coil.
Has many settings, and you can customize it to the exact size dab.
It hits like an old-school bong with the water chamber.
It hits very efficiently, no waste.
Has great flavor and never tastes burnt.
Cons:
It doesn’t come with a carrying case, not that you were going anywhere with it.
The quartz bucket is fragile and chips easily.
Note that the cap position on top affects the airflow. For an epic rip, keep it turned in a 5 o’clock position.
The Puffco Peak:
A tasteful and attractive design for using concentrates, the Peak is billed as efficient and enjoyable, “with no learning curve.”
Pros:
Portability – Not pocket-sized, but doesn’t stick out too much either.
Comes with a carrying case.
Highly customizable – there’s parts made by third-parties available.
It breaks down into smaller pieces, for even easier carrying.
Delivers epic rips for its size.
Cons:
doesn’t come with a quartz piece, have to buy off another vendor
Note that the haptic feedback system is a little off its timing. It vibrates to let you know it’s heated up and ready, but wait a couple seconds after that for it to really get cooking.
The Verdict:
They’re both great! It’s about an even 50/50 break between the two, but the superior choice will be up to the individual. If you like flower vaping too, the Switch has you covered. If all you care about is concentrate, and would like a little bit of discretion when you slip over to your boo’s for the evening, the Peak is your rig. If you don’t care about portability as long as you have the biggest and most impressive rig at the dining table, you’re back to the Switch.
One thing that also should be considered is reliability. The recent Puffco lawsuit has brought some reliability and replacement issues to light with the Peak that have not been issues for the Switch.
What do you think?
Have you tried the Puffco Peak or the Dr. Dabber Switch? How do you feel they stack up? Which one speaks more to you about the future of rig design? Give us an earful in the comments or on our forum.
The Mig Vapor Waspis a simple, easy going yet efficient battery. This 4 piece dab pen is a one touch, ready to go pen with no hassle or struggles to figure out which temperature settings is proper. Although it seems like a disability to not be able to change the temperature settings, the wattage is set at a proper setting for your dabs to burn smoothly.
Pros:
Simplicity at its finest
Temperature set for a perfect dab
Smooth airflow
Cons:
Only one temperature
The tank is plastic
The tank gets dirty frequently
Recommendations: Change the plastic cover into glass and have multiple temperature settings.
The Mig Vapor WASP has a smooth and simple design
This particular dab pen is made with silicone on the outside, giving it comfort all throughout the pen. Similar to the G Pen Nova, both wax pens are very smooth and discrete. Alternatively, the Mig Vapor doesn’t get as dirty as the G Pen Nova. Another neat design is how smooth the mouthpiece is made. It doesn’t get dirty as easily and has great comfort on the lips.
This dab pen is very simple and straightforward to use
The simplicity of this dab pen makes it very easy and convenient to use. All you have to do is push the button and inhale, nothing complex at all.
One downside of the Wasp dab pen is it only uses a single mode to heat up your dabs. This may be a good thing if simplicity is all you’re looking for. Although some people might prefer heavy hits, this is more for a casual smoker and more for smooth hits.
The Mig Vapor Wasp also has a good sized 900 mAH battery capacity, giving it good lasting power.
Sleek and comfortable build quality
First off, the plastic cover does get dirty very quickly. It could be just because we took big and heavy hits from it and because we smoked it often. Regardless, with the way it’s built, it isn’t very difficult to clean.
A great feature this Mig Vapor has is the mesh screen attached to the mouthpiece. Underneath the mouthpiece itself, there is a screen to prevent dabs jumping into your mouth or lips. This makes it very convenient when taking long and heavy rips. But, as mentioned earlier, taking consistent heavy hits causes the tank cover to get dirty easily.
The Mig Vapor WASP comes with an efficient yet effortless atomizer
So this dab pen does comes with a dual quartz coil. At first glance, it did look a bit used but we thought nothing of it. While testing it out, we found that it really does give the perfect dab. Not nearly as strong as a rig, nor as light as a ceramic coil. Packing your dabs the right way will guarantee a smooth and tasteful hit. The only thing is that it is easy to overpack it. When we overpacked it, the atomizer did get clogged for a while. But after a few hits without packing it again, it was all good.
Very portable and fairly discrete
With the way it’s built, it makes it very easy to cary anywhere you go. It is very slim and will fit in most pockets easily. Although this wax pen is very portable, it isn’t as as discrete. If you were to smoke this in front of any dabber, they will probably know it’s a dab pen. Because of the plastic green tank, it makes it less discrete.
Mig Vapor WASP vs G Pen Nova
Both very smooth and sleek wax pens, but I’d go with the Mig Vapor Wasp. With the G Pen Nova, it is better for beginners and for discretion. Another thing that makes a huge difference between the two is the build quality. While the G Pen is more simple, the Mig is a bit more efficient.
Worth the price if you’re a casual smoker
Overall, the Mig Vapor WASP is a great dab pen for those who smoke occasionally. For $59.95, it may be worth it if you seek simplicity and smooth yet potent hits. It gives the perfect pact and very smooth hits. The only thing about this pen is that it only has one temperature setting. This may be unfortunate for heavy smokers and it may get clogged easily if you take fat dabs. But if you’re a casual or a light smoker, this pen may be great for you. You can get the Mig Vapor Wasp at Kings Pipes.

Remedy has consistently made great flower. Here we review the Remedy cartridge. This THCvape cart uses live resin and has awesome taste. The main improvement needed here is better hardware. The CCELL clone just doesn’t cut it compared to the real thing or something like a SPRK cartridge. However, the oil was so good I got a second one.
Remedy cartridges have strong, quality oil, but could use hardware upgrade
That sums up the Remedy THC cartridge. The oil is one of the best, but the hardware holds back it’s true potential. I ended up swapping the oil into a CCELL just to be sure this was the case. Check out our guide on how to swap oil between carts and you will see my second Remedy cart getting emptied out.
The strain used on this review was Clemon Kush. I ended up getting a second card and I forgot that strain, but it might have been Clemon Kush as well. This appears to be a Remedy-only strain as I could not find any further information on it.
High build quality, but design could be improved
Feeling the cart and holding it you can tell it’s made well. Glass is thick and the rest of the cart is metal. I did not rip this one apart, but pretty sure it’s a ceramic core on the inside. Airflow is a bit lacking and the design played into a bit weaker strength which is discussed more below.
You can tell the hardware on this cart is holding back the oil. A real CCELL or something like the SPRK cartridge would make this overall a much better THC cart.
Oil quality is top notch, nice live resin
Remedy cartridges use live resin instead of the more popular distillate. Nothing lacking on oil quality at all here. It adheres to strict testing standards and it’s all clean. Remedy’s THC oil is thick and it moves slow.
Strength is up there on the Remedy vape cart
You have to take more hits on this than other carts to get a good effect going but it also uses less oil per hit. THC came in at 90% on this cart. Not because the oil is weak, but because the airflow on the cartridge just is not that good. If you could take big rips on the cart, it would be a 1-2 hitter quitter for most people and comparable in strength to Roots and Airo Pro.
Strength really shined when I switched it over to a real CCELL. The 10% or so loss of oil was worth it to do the swap, that is how much weaker the hardware is on hits. If Remedy had straight live resin oil syringes I would be getting them all the time. Currently I have only seen RSO syringes for sale by Remedy.
Taste is awesome, nothing artificial about it
The Remedy carts taste just like a high end live resin, which is exactly what they are. Nothing on here seems food-type flavored. I prefer this type of taste over that offered on flavored cartridges like that from Flav and Airo Pro.
If you prefer flavored carts, those might be a better option for you. Airo Pro still beats this cart overall for now due to having better hardware. I am no terpene expert, but this cart does not seem to have a whole lot added.
Cartridge hardware loses some points on efficiency due to airflow
The poor airflow on the Remedy cart forces you to have to hit it twice as much as another cart to get the same vapor out of it. I can’t see how that would help efficiency. As far as actual oil just being left over in the cart, the hardware does a good job there. But we would have better efficiency with more airflow and harder hits.
Remedy delivers a lot of puffs
The oil does not vape that quickly and seems to last long even when it was later swapped to CCELL hardware. However, it also delivers more puffs due to the restricted airflow, which is not a good thing. I rather take less hits that are stronger. If you want weaker hits though and some people do, this hardware is good for smaller dosing.
Good value with recent price change
Remedy cartridges were originally $64 a piece for a half gram at Essence Tropicana West, which is one of the better priced dispensaries in Las Vegas. Too expensive at that price but still something I had to try.
They recently dropped to $46 a piece, $1 more than what seems to be the average price of $45 a half gram for other brands. It’s worth the extra $1 to try it out and it’s a unique oil. However, I would not say it presents a better overall value than a Roots cartridge. Give it better hardware and it will be on par, but a different type of oil.
Concluding our Remedy cartridge review
Overall, the Remedy cart is something I would definitely get again just to try out the unique oil. I am sure at some point they will improve the hardware and at that point Remedy will end up in my regular rotation. It’s a great quality, tasty THC oil that only needs a hardware upgrade in order to be one of the best. Even as is it’s still a great product and got an honorable mention on our list of the best cartridges in Nevada.
You can learn more about Remedy on their website and find their cartridges here.

[sc name=”amp_ratings”]Here we review the CCELL UNO vape pod system for THC and CBD oils. The UNO vape uses a ceramic core heating element similar to that found on CCELL vape cartridges, but in pod format. So far, this is the strongest hitting vape pod system we have tried, crushing Stiiizy and any THC Juul pods, making it one of the best cartridge designs of 2019.
Pros:
Hard hits
Excellent taste delivery
Discreet
Efficient
Pods are interchangeable with CCELL Dart
Cons:
Goes through oil quickly, but not wasteful
Recommendations: It would be great to make these refillable and to see them sold empty.
CCELL UNO vape pods hits THC oil better than any other pod system we have tried
The UNO vape hits hard and does use quite a bit of oil, but you not need to hit it as often. Two hits on the UNO feels like 4-5 hits on a regular cartridge. I tested out the UNO using Vader’s Coconutz distillate, something I have tried out on other vape platforms before. This way I was able to tell clearly how the CCELL UNO compares to cartridges and other pods and not have the review influenced by varying oil types.
CCELL UNO has a similar outside design to Stiiizy, same internal design as the Dart vape
The outside of the CCELL UNO is very basic. There is one basic charging light and it looks very similar to a Stiiizy on the outside. The pod itself without the mouthpiece is the same pod used on the CCELL Dart. The only difference between the UNO and Dart is the form factor. The Dart is wider and shorter, the UNO vape is skinnier and longer.
Ceramic core just like other CCELL cartridges
The UNO vape uses a ceramic core just like other CCELL carts. “Ceramic-Cell” is what CCELL stands for and all their vape products use a ceramic core. So far, they have been leader of the pack when it comes to cartridges, and they are now the leader in pods too.
CCELL UNO has a standard type of pod battery
The UNO vape’s battery is nothing special to look at. It’s a standard pod style battery that looks very similar to a Stiiizy pen battery. The innovation comes in the actual pod and performance itself. It hits very hard. We had no technical issues with the UNO vape at all.
Pods have a unique snap-closing system on the UNO vape, preserving airflow
Instead of all rubber pieces to close up the pod like we have seen on every other vape pod system, the UNO vape pods have a plastic top that snaps the pod closed.
This should prevent any airflow issues like we have seen on some Stiiizy pods, but it also makes the CCELL UNO pods not recommended for refilling. I am not sure if this contributes to the overall hard-hitting effects of the UNO, but the snap on does add another finishing touch that reminds you this is a quality made product and the folks a CCELL put a lot of thought into making things as good as possible.
Hits on the CCELL UNO were incredibly strong
It’s safe to say theCCELL UNO vape is the strongest hitting vape pod system out right now. We have now tried Hempods, Stiiizy, Pax Era, and other pod variations. Nothing comes close to the hit strength of the UNO. Keep in mind the CCELL Dart should hit just as strong since it uses the same pods. You will see on our
UNO vape’s atomizer goes through oil quickly, but you don’t need to take as many hits
If you hit the UNO all day like a regular cartridge you will be super stoned, but you will go through that oil quickly. I noticed the UNO atomizer rips though oil at a faster pace than your standard cartridge or pod system. Not necessarily a bad thing since the hits are much more powerful. Take less hits and you will get the same effect as a cartridge. Keep hitting it like a cartridge and you will go through oil quickly.
Take less hits, get the same efficiency
On average a regular half gram cart lasts me 3-4 days. The UNO was almost empty at the beginning of the third day of use after loading it up. I was hitting it hard though and thoroughly enjoyed the effects. I used the same oil I have used in many other carts just to make sure I was properly attributing strength to the hardware differences and not the oil. Below is a picture of the syringe I used.
Vader’s Coconutz distillate is one of my favorites and something I have gotten more than one time. You can also use the methods we show you in how to make your own oil pen to make THC oil for filling the UNO pod. I just buy syringes because it is easier than they are readily available. Below is a picture of the syringe I used to test out the CCELL UNO.
The UNO does not require multiple hits to get an effect. The key to using the UNO effectively is to not take as many hits, since the hits it does produce are much stronger.
Taste is right on with the UNO vape
You taste the true THC oil’s taste on UNO carts just like you would on a good vape cartridge. Some pod systems sacrifice taste with wicked atomizers, but the UNO’s core is a quality ceramic.
CCELL UNO vs Stiiizy: UNO hits substantially stronger than Stiiizy
A lot of the features on the UNO vape are comparable to the Stiiizy. Shape, styling, and the way it feels in your hand are almost identical. The only benefit the Stiiizy has over the CCELL UNO is that you can more easily see how much oil is left. Other than that, the UNO is far ahead.
Hardware vs Hardware, CCELL UNO beats Stiiizy handily. Stiiizy is a great hardware system made by ALD and it’s still decent, but it really it’s hits are weaker than a regular new generation CCELL cartridge. The UNO is stronger than Stiiizy and standard cartridges.
Stiiizy pods only come prefilled with weak oil
Refilling Stiiiizy pods is our recommended method for the brand in general. They severely weakened their oil in 2018, compared to the very strong light colored oil they were using at the end of 2017. I rather get an empty pod like the UNO and fill it with good distillate as opposed to having to refill something that had low quality oil in it before. On that point, UNO also has Stiiizy beat.
ALD’s vFire is a better option than the Stiiizy and uses the same heating core. However, that core is still not going to be providing as strong a hit as the CCELL UNO. For that reason, the UNO vape beats both ALD pod systems substantially on strength.
CCELL UNO vs THC Juul Pods: A better core means better hits
We have tried a couple different THC Juul pods on this site and found most of them to be underwhelming. The most recent was reviewed by Javier and those were the Bare GoPods. I have previously reviewed Hempods and found them to be underwhelming.
There are two types of Juul pods for THC and CBD oil: Wicked and ceramic core. The wicked ones lack taste and often only hit hard because the wick is burning. The ceramic core pods have too much ceramic mass to be heated by a standard battery, leaving an underwhelming hit. At some point we will break down a CCELL UNO/Dart pod to see exactly what is inside, but we predict it will be similar to the core we found when we broke down a TH001, as shown below.
See how small the above piece of ceramic is. The GoPod’s ceramic core is probably 4-5x the size of the one CCELL uses. Since we are not using mod batteries, too large of ceramic cores just do not get hot enough to deliver a quality hit. Using small ceramic internals is what makes CCELL products shine.
Pax Era vs CCELL UNO: Superior core on UNO delivers superior results
The Pax Era is not that bad, it just is not that great even when compared to Stiiizy. I personally have not been a fan of it and am not a fan of wick based carts or pods. Wicks are old tech.
Often though wicks hit harder too. The UNO hits harder than the Era and it tastes better too. The Era does have a bit nicer feel to the battery, but when it comes to the most important part: actually delivering you the oil as a vapor, the Pax Era is nowhere close to the UNO.
CCELL UNO vs 510 cartridges: Stronger but uses more oil
I vaped through my Coconutz oil pretty quickly on the UNO pod. Not to say it was not worth it. I just realized I should hit it less times than a standard cartridge. Still standard carts are great and of the ones out there, CCELLs newest generation 510 cartridges are the best. The UNO does hit noticeably harder than any cart I have tried.
Still, I’ll be hitting regular carts quite a bit, but I could see the CCELL UNO/Dart combos becoming more popular than their already well known 510 carts. I can also see some thinking they are too strong, but that’s probably not our readers.
Dart vs UNO: Just different mouthpieces and batteries, same functionality
The CCELL Dart uses the same atomizer as the UNO. The styles of the battery are different as well. Other than that they are identical in function. You could take off the mouthpiece and even use the pod interchangeably between the Dart and UNO batteries.
Expected price is $34-39.99 when it is available
It looks like it will be $39.99 at VapePartsMart once it is in stock. Code VPM15 probably will work for an additional 15% off. We expect that to include the full kit with an empty pod. It’s hard to judge value all the way until we see refillable pod costs, but I doubt it will be overly expensive for replacements like we saw on the Bud Tank V16. Considering it is the best vape pod system, $34-39.99 is a great value.
Really impressed with the UNO vape. It hits really hard without burning. It also goes through oil pretty quickly and you do not need to hit it as hard or as much as a cartridge. I can see this becoming the most popular vape pod system because it definitely is the best I have tried so far. There could be some aesthetic improvements and a slight change to the angle of oil flow in the atomizer would be a nice addition, but as is it delivers on it’s main purpose: hard, good tasting hits. We will still be hitting regular cartridges also, but the Uno is a nice addition.

Here we take a look at the PCKT One Plus. We previously reviewed the PCKT One and found it to be a decent battery, but lacking some key aspects. The Plus is literally like they took everyone’s complaints about the original One and then fixed them on the Plus. Strong hits and unique options make the Plus battery impressive.
Pros:
Discreet
Push button and draw activated hits
Hard hits with pre heating
Fits new generation CCELL cartridges
Cons:
Does not fit some thicker cartridges
Priced higher than the average battery
Recommendation: It could be made wider to fit even thicker carts, but that may make standard size carts wobble on the inside.
Watch the video review of the PCKT One Plus below, and keep reading for the more in depth review.
PCKT One Plus combines high build quality with a unique feature
I have been hitting on this battery for about a month now. In our cartridge battery reviews on DabConnection we use the battery for at least two weeks prior to writing up our reviews so we have a good idea of how it works long term. I hit on the PCKT One Plus a bit longer because we had gotten so backed up and the battery never died.
PCKT recently released a new style of cartridge that pairs excellent with the Plus battery. Check out our SPRK cart review for more information.
Design and form factor is similar to the original PCKT One, with two key improvements
The original PCKT One form factor was already good and the new one is very similar but with a smoother feel. Two key improvements are button placement and widening the cartridge holding area so it can fit new generation CCELL carts like the TH2 series.
Wide cartridge area allows the cart to be protected from drops
The cartridge area is wide enough to protect the cartridge. On the prior PCKT One you had to use an extendo adapter on most newer cart styles and it left the cartridge exposed. Now most carts slide in very clean. Some people might complain that you cannot see the level that the oil is at, but, but many of us are used to checking the carts anyway. That was a complaint for some on the Airo Pro.
Battery sits upright so oil stays even at the bottom of the cartridge
The base of the PCKT One Plus is flat and a wide enough area in proportion to its height that it sits upright. When a cart is getting low you won’t get oil all going to the side. For a batter as slim as the Plus, it’s a nice design feature.
Three heat settings via RCKT chip ensures no burn vape cartridge burn outs
The PCKT One Plus used a smart chip called “RCKT” that automatically adjusts to the cartridge you put in it. This helps people not burn out their carts if they are unsure of the settings. The chip will still adjust to hit harder or softer, depending on your battery setting. Blue is for lighter hits, Yellow for medium hits, and Red for hard hits.
Build quality excellent on the PCKT One Plus, smooth feel
PCKT One Plus magnetic adapter screwed on a Roots cart. The build on the original was excellent as well. Dropped it several times and worked fine. The Plus battery is no different with a heavy, solid feel to it. A smooth rubber feeling outer shell has been added to the outside to give it a nicer feel.
Battery life is excellent, charging is simple with micro USB
The battery life on the PCKT One Plus is great. I did not use one single cartridge throughout the test but a few different ones. However, I could easily see going through a half gram cart without a charge. Battery life is a very important factor for many users, and this vape cartridge battery delivers.
Charging is simple, just plug it in with the included micro USB cable into a USB port.
Hard hits with pre-heating or smooth hits on pull draw
By default on pull draw the PCKT One Plus does not hit super hard. This might be preferred for a lot of users, but all you need to do for harder hits is use the button and pre heat a little bit. Our reviewers and readers probably will prefer this method. Using the button feature the PCKT One Plus is capable of delivering monster rips.
Higher priced than most batteries, but made for carts
There’s a big gap in battery prices and performance across the board. You can find low priced batteries that are made more for eCig then you can find higher priced batteries that are designed for use with cartridges.
I think considering the cost of carts of high quality spending a bit more on the battery is warranted. But if you are looking for the absolute cheapest option, any standard eCig kit battery will work with most carts. The average cart price is $30-50 for a half gram in most places. So even two carts and you are at the price of the PCKT One Plus. Then there’s the coupon code PCKT15 that take’s 15% off the top.
On the left is the price shipped to California with a coupon code, on the right is the shipped to Nevada price with the coupon code.
In California it will cost you just under $58 out the door and just over $54 in most other states.
PCKT Vapor offers a great warranty
PCKT has a very easy warranty process that covers you for one year. I have read comments online and people have had no trouble replacing anything with PCKT Vapor. The company is very customer-service based and wants to make sure everyone has a good experience.
Comparing the PCKT One Plus to other vape cartridge batteries
We have tried quite a few batteries and we will compare the PCKT One Plus to the most popular ones.
PCKT One Plus vs. CCell Palm and Silo
The CCELL Palm and Silo are so close as batteries, the only difference is their form factor and thus we compare them together against the Plus battery. Solely on pull draw the Palm and Silo hit harder than the Plus. When you preheat with the button though, you can get a bigger rip out of the Plus.
Airflow is comparable between the CCELLs and the PCKT One Plus. The CCELL batteries can be had for under $20, but they do lack the button push and variable heat settings of the Plus. Build quality on all three units is solid, but the Plus has a nicer feel.
I should also add that the Magic 710 battery is very comparable to the Palm and the same pros/cons with that battery would apply here compared to the Plus.
PCKT One Plus vs Original PCKT One
The Plus beats the original PCKT One hands down. The additional $10 is well worth it, as the original is $49.99. Being able to hit new generation CCELLs like those on Select Elite cartridges without the extendo adapter makes the additional cost a no brainer.
Add better button placement and it’s an easy pick: PCKT One Plus.
Concluding our PCKT One Plus review
Overall the PCKT One Plus offered some great improvements over the original PCKT One battery. It’s on the higher end of pricing but it does have great features and with a pre heat it will get strong, milky hits.
The button placement is now perfect which makes it a lot easier to use. Now that it holds easily new generation CCELL carts it’s also much more discreet. You can get the PCKT One Plus here.

Bare Pods GoPods, from the creators of BareWoods, are THC pre-filled carts compatible with any Juul Battery. Although we enjoyed the taste, the atomizer was very weak it was hard to enjoy the high. We also could not tell for sure if this is a real brand or not, since there are other Bare x J Pods in different states.
Pros:
Has an amazing taste
Smooth hits
Cons:
Weak atomizer
Bad hardware
Possibility of it being a fake
Recommendations: Provide lab results and upgrade the pod itself.
UPDATE 9/11/2019: DISCLAIMER: In light of more recent news, it has become apparent that black market cartridges, counterfeit cartridges, and fake brands of cartridges have become more widespread than we had ever realized. We urge readers to apply their own discretion, and caution that at no point should readers assume that a review of a cartridge on our site is a guarantee of its safety. We advise readers to always verify their cartridges as coming from a legitimate source.
BareWoods is a well known company, but Bare Pods GoPods remain a mystery
BareWoods have become a popular brand, known for selling pre-filled backwoods, merch and pods. Although these Bare Pods GoPods say to be from them originally, there is little to no information to be found on them. With that being said, there’s no saying how legit these pods actually are. Looking for something better and in CA or NV? Check out our best lists for cartridges for California and Nevada.
Furthermore, I found that BareWoods only show product J Pods rather than GoPods, according to WeedMaps and their official Instagram. We are currently waiting for their response to confirm the legitimacy of Bare Pods GoPods. Until than, we are unsure and this raises some suspicion as to how legit they are, but either way this review will help people decipher if Bare GoPods are even good on their own.
No lab results to be found
Unfortunately, there are no pesticide test to be found with these GoPods or BareWoods in general. Because of that, we can’t be too sure what’s in the distillate or if it has any artificial flavors. Being a well known brand, hopefully they update this and upload some lab results soon.
Bare Pods GoPods give a satisfying taste but weak hits
Unpacking Bare Pods seemed to look authentic and very unique. They are all .6 ML (Grams). The only thing is that none claim or say any sort of THC content. Its instructions say to puff 4-6 times before activating and getting good hits, but every hit always came out light. Even though they didn’t leak on me, each hit was too light, making it difficult for me to get high.
Bare Pods Jack Herer has a mellow, smooth and natural taste
Jack Herer did give a natural, somewhat piney taste to it and did have a strong gold color to it. Based on the Jack Herer weed strain, I personally liked it a lot and enjoyed the high and taste. On the other hand, because of how weak the atomizer is, I rarely got good rips off it. Everything else was great about them, from the oil quality to the taste. But it was hard to enjoy it with the light and faint hits it gave.
Pebbles Cereal also tastes sweet and great, but again weak hits
Likewise, I also enjoyed Pebbles Cereal as well but couldn’t enjoy or get high with its light hits. I am pretty sure it is based on (or supposedly based on) the Fruity Pebbles OG strain. This is very unfortunate, for these pods really are tasteful and convenient yet difficult to even feel a buzz. Another thing with this particular flavor is that the oil gets very dark. At first, it seems to have a decent strong color. Not too dark nor too gold. After smoking it consistently, the Pebbles Cereal oil got darker and turns into a nasty gold color. This could be for the reason of the atomizer burning the oil unevenly, but regardless doesn’t look too satisfying.
Oil quality seems potent on both flavors
With both flavors, I can say both of these pods do have a nice and strong oil color to it. Jack Herer does have a cleaner color and doesn’t burn nor turned dark. As with Pebbles Fruity, it does have a darker color to it. Unlike the old Dank Vapes Fruity Pebbles, this strain as dark. But because it’s a cereal strain, I see why it has a darker color than usual. Only thing with that ism as mentioned earlier, it gets darker and darker as you go through it.
Bare Pods GoPods give a smooth and fascinating taste
Both pods really do give a smooth and tasteful hits. Furthermore, the taste wasn’t too strong nor harsh at all, and they tasted exactly like they claimed. Neither tasted too strong, funny nor as if it had artificial flavors. As for Jack Herer, again it was a nice tasting ,natural and somewhat piney/minty. Pebbles fruity as well gave a smooth and savory taste, just like the cereal itself.
Very efficient, but only because of how light each hit is
These pods may have been efficient throughout the whole pod, but just because of how light each hit gives. Due to the atomizer, it burned the distillate slowly, which may be a good thing for some people. But personally, I prefer thicker and stronger hits so I can get higher quicker and easier.
An inside look of Bare Pods GoPods: The ceramic core is too big for the wire
At first glance, before disarming, you can’t see anything within the atomizer because of how it’s covered. After we disarmed this pod, we found that these pods use a ceramic coil with a very small wire. Because of how the big the ceramic atomizer core is, this caused each hit to be too light and weak. Ceramic coils for cartridges should usually come with a small coil and a larger wire. These pods have too big of a coil and a tiny and thin wire wrapped inside. Take a look at the CCELL core below for comparison.
The CCELL core is probably 1/5 the mass of the Bare pod core. That’s why CCELL’s hit awesome: they heat up way easier because of less ceramic mass. Again, not necessarily a bad thing if you prefer lighter hits. But for all you cartridge fanatics, you probably won’t like how light this Bare pod rips. This does makes it difficult to get high at all if you have a tolerance.
What if my Bare Pod is leaking?
This is a major problem with most Juul compatible pods. Our other reviewer Bert found his to be true in his Hempod review. Some pods can’t withstand the density of oil and starts leaking either on the bottom or mouth piece. If this happens, the best thing you can do is change the pod and move the oil from one pod or cartridge to another.
Although there isn’t much you can do to fix it, you can do a few things to prevent this from happening. First off, do NOT keep the pod in the Juul for extensive periods of time. This will cause it to slightly drip out from the bottom of the pod. Also, these pods should be sealed with the piece of plastic already provided underneath the pod itself. If you break the seal or leave it in warm temperatures, this can cause it to leak. You can also prevent this by removing your Supreme Pod while charging your battery.
Bare Pods GoPods vs Supreme Pods
Both of these pods really taste amazing, yet the way they hit makes a huge difference. Unlike Bear Pods, Supreme Pods do have positive lab results out and contain no pesticide. Apart from that, Supreme Pods do give a thicker and dense hits.
With the atomizer, Supreme Pods do use a quartz coil, rather than ceramic. Therefore, we prefer Supreme G Extracts just because of how satisfying and thick each hit gives, although better ceramic atomizer setups can give a more satisfying hit than both. Perfect example is the TH2 series by CCELL.
Overall, Bare Pods are good but would be better with different and upgraded hardware
To conclude, although we enjoyed the taste, we recommend Bare Pods GoPods to upgrade their coil. They would be a lot more enjoyable if each hit weren’t as light nor weak. Apart from that, there really isn’t much to be found about Bare Pods, specifically GoPods. I honestly ended up moved the oil halfway through the pod into a CCELL cartridge. This ended up giving a lot more thicker and effective hits.
Also, as mentioned in the beginning, we only found J Pods online on their Instagram and WeedMaps. This does raise some suspicion as to their legitimacy and authenticity. We did contact them, but haven’t got a reply yet. We’ll update this as we find more info, but for now we still are unsure how legit these officially are. If you really want Juul compatible pods, check out our post on THC Juul pods and fill your own with good distillate or pick one of the other brands to try out.

[sc name=”AMP_Rating”]Toko Gold vape cartridges are made by Toko, a cannabis brand that specializes in oils. We found the THC oil quality to be great, but the hardware dated, resulting in a mediocre overall cartridge. Simply updating the hardware on the Toko Gold cartridge would make it an excellent choice. I even dumped the oil in a new generation CCELL cart just to test theory, and the quality of hit was much better.
Pros:
Great quality oil
High strength
Pesticide free
Cons:
Dated hardware restricts performance
Recommendation: Update the cartridge hardware and this thing is good to go.
Licensing Information: Sweet Cannabis 1036396576-002 PRO 5942534293689617985
Check out our video review here or keep reading on for the more in depth review.
Toko Gold comes very close to being a great THC cartridge
Toko has great oil. The specific cartridge we used for this review was the Durban Poison strain. All they need to change on this cart is the hardware and it’s good. It looks like on their website they even have “coming soon” a new cartridge style. The new style seems to resemble the old CCELL. In short, get this cartridge when they update the hardware. We hope that is soon and we also will update this review.
Toko’s hardware is the old style CCELL or clone
Toko Gold carts use the old style CCELL cartridge. This is similar to the Brass Knuckles vape cart and is not a preferred hardware type. There is a metallic taste coming off the vape similar to the BK carts as well. They update this and this cart is upgraded huge.
Oil quality is excellent for Toko Gold
Toko’s vape cartridge really shines on oil quality. It’s a consistent gold color and there were no variations in color throughout the cartridge’s use. We were using the Nevada version where regulations are strict and pesticides are typically nowhere to be found. The oil was thick and not runny
Toko Gold is still pretty strong even with old style hardware, but new style would make it stronger
Toko Gold’s oil was much stronger when transferred to a new generation CCELL TH205 cartridge. The old style CCELL they currently use is dated technology. It comes from a period when most joints were still stronger than most carts. The Toko Gold cartridge would be scoring high on strength with the same oil in another cart.
As it is, Toko Gold cartridges are still pretty strong. They are stronger than other carts I have seen in this same hardware, like the one from W Vapes.
Taste also hindered by hardware, but still decent
The taste seemed like a mix of CO2 and distillate taste. It was not sweet, but the cartridge they used left a bit of a metallic taste. The metallic taste reminded me of Brass Knuckles. Overall, taste was still decent though.
Number of Puffs was high, oil is thick
The oil in Toko Gold cartridges is thick. It’s not hitting slow at all. The hardware limits your ability to get fat rips, which probably adds to the total number of puffs but not in a good way. Still when the remaining oil was transferred to a new CCELL it lasted a long time too.
Improve hardware and improve value
I just cannot recommend this Toko Gold cart as a good value until they change the hardware. To get the full effects from the oil you have to swap it to a new cart. At $45 for a half gram, cartridges from Toko Gold are the same price as Roots. Roots is a much better value as it has the new generation CCELL and the oil is better than Toko’s. Roots also made the top of our picks for the best cartridges in Nevada.
With improvements to hardware and slightly stronger oil, Toko Gold has the potential to be one of the stronger carts out there.
Simply put, this cartridge is due for an upgrade. Once that is done, we see Toko being one of the better cartridges available. For now it is still decent, but with other brands giving better results at the same price point, we would have to go with the other brands.
Toko also makes a CBD vape cart and Pax Era pods. Their products are available in Oregon and Nevada an are distributed by Sweet Cannabis Brands. We will have to give the Era pods a try as well soon. Once Toko updates current hardware and we get another cartridge, we will update this review.
