Remedy has consistently made great flower. Here we review the Remedy cartridge. This THCvape cart uses live resin and has awesome taste. The main improvement needed here is better hardware. The CCELL clone just doesn’t cut it compared to the real thing or something like a SPRK cartridge. However, the oil was so good I got a second one.
Remedy cartridges have strong, quality oil, but could use hardware upgrade
That sums up the Remedy THC cartridge. The oil is one of the best, but the hardware holds back it’s true potential. I ended up swapping the oil into a CCELL just to be sure this was the case. Check out our guide on how to swap oil between carts and you will see my second Remedy cart getting emptied out.
The strain used on this review was Clemon Kush. I ended up getting a second card and I forgot that strain, but it might have been Clemon Kush as well. This appears to be a Remedy-only strain as I could not find any further information on it.
High build quality, but design could be improved
Feeling the cart and holding it you can tell it’s made well. Glass is thick and the rest of the cart is metal. I did not rip this one apart, but pretty sure it’s a ceramic core on the inside. Airflow is a bit lacking and the design played into a bit weaker strength which is discussed more below.
You can tell the hardware on this cart is holding back the oil. A real CCELL or something like the SPRK cartridge would make this overall a much better THC cart.
Oil quality is top notch, nice live resin
Remedy cartridges use live resin instead of the more popular distillate. Nothing lacking on oil quality at all here. It adheres to strict testing standards and it’s all clean. Remedy’s THC oil is thick and it moves slow.
Strength is up there on the Remedy vape cart
You have to take more hits on this than other carts to get a good effect going but it also uses less oil per hit. THC came in at 90% on this cart. Not because the oil is weak, but because the airflow on the cartridge just is not that good. If you could take big rips on the cart, it would be a 1-2 hitter quitter for most people and comparable in strength to Roots and Airo Pro.
Strength really shined when I switched it over to a real CCELL. The 10% or so loss of oil was worth it to do the swap, that is how much weaker the hardware is on hits. If Remedy had straight live resin oil syringes I would be getting them all the time. Currently I have only seen RSO syringes for sale by Remedy.
Taste is awesome, nothing artificial about it
The Remedy carts taste just like a high end live resin, which is exactly what they are. Nothing on here seems food-type flavored. I prefer this type of taste over that offered on flavored cartridges like that from Flav and Airo Pro.
If you prefer flavored carts, those might be a better option for you. Airo Pro still beats this cart overall for now due to having better hardware. I am no terpene expert, but this cart does not seem to have a whole lot added.
Cartridge hardware loses some points on efficiency due to airflow
The poor airflow on the Remedy cart forces you to have to hit it twice as much as another cart to get the same vapor out of it. I can’t see how that would help efficiency. As far as actual oil just being left over in the cart, the hardware does a good job there. But we would have better efficiency with more airflow and harder hits.
Remedy delivers a lot of puffs
The oil does not vape that quickly and seems to last long even when it was later swapped to CCELL hardware. However, it also delivers more puffs due to the restricted airflow, which is not a good thing. I rather take less hits that are stronger. If you want weaker hits though and some people do, this hardware is good for smaller dosing.
Good value with recent price change
Remedy cartridges were originally $64 a piece for a half gram at Essence Tropicana West, which is one of the better priced dispensaries in Las Vegas. Too expensive at that price but still something I had to try.
They recently dropped to $46 a piece, $1 more than what seems to be the average price of $45 a half gram for other brands. It’s worth the extra $1 to try it out and it’s a unique oil. However, I would not say it presents a better overall value than a Roots cartridge. Give it better hardware and it will be on par, but a different type of oil.
Concluding our Remedy cartridge review
Overall, the Remedy cart is something I would definitely get again just to try out the unique oil. I am sure at some point they will improve the hardware and at that point Remedy will end up in my regular rotation. It’s a great quality, tasty THC oil that only needs a hardware upgrade in order to be one of the best. Even as is it’s still a great product and got an honorable mention on our list of the best cartridges in Nevada.

CBD Merchant Accounts
At Leap Payments their goal is to make sure that your CBD business can accept debit and credit card payments just like any other business can. They specialize in industries that other processors consider high risk. Moreover, CBD solution is domestic and priced fairly so your business can continue growing hence, providing products to customers that matter most.
CBD Merchant Account Approvals
When you need a CBD merchant account, one of the things you’ll notice is all the credit card processors are going to refuse to give you one. It’s a real problem for people who sell CBD edibles, hemp and cannabis oil, and other items in the marijuana industry. Fortunately, this doesn’t have to be a problem for you any longer. In fact, Leap Payments will work with you on opening a CBD high risk merchant account and keeping your account alive.
With so many states allowing Cannabidiol and CBD oil product sales for both medical and recreational use, the demand for payment processing in this pseudo marijuana industry is growing. However, many banks and financial institutions feel that this industry is high risk or potentially damaging to their reputation. Because of this, they are reluctant to handle any type of payment processing for CBD merchants. Hence, this led to a crisis with companies that offer CBD, hemp products, vape equipment and other marijuana related options, and then those companies end up frustrated and losing sales.
How They Help With Your CBD Payment Processing
Even if you’ve been told by others that your business is “too high risk to do business with”, just know that Leap Payments will always work with CBD merchants. Their core belief is that CBD merchants have as much of a right to process credit cards for their hemp based products as any other low risk business.
They have processing options to explore that other processors just simply cannot provide because of their expansive banking partnership network. Because they understand the industry, they craft a unique processing solution to meet your business’ needs and help you grow.
Marijuana Merchant Accounts
Leap Payments provides your business with the same card processing that all other businesses are entitled to. Hence, they support industries selling CBD, Marijuana and dispensaries that are considered by many other payment processors to be too high risk to service. Your business can start accepting card payments with their payment processing solutions.
Leap Payments Approves CBD Vape Merchants
Often, payment processors may not tell you the limitations of which products their merchant accounts can support. As many merchants have learned, CBD vape merchant accounts are even more difficult to obtain than a purely CBD merchant account due to the added regulation of vape.
Leap Payments offers credit card processing for vapor CBD products. Being the top provider of CBD merchant services, it was only natural that they extend their reach to the vape market as well.
Leap Payments Makes It Easy For You
Since their bank is aware and in support of the CBD products you sell, you are free to sell the products you want to sell. Take a look at the CBD products they can support:
With so many processors promising different things, it can be hard to know which CBD merchant service provider to choose. They know their experience, transparent rates and fees and dedicated support team will win you over.
When it comes to CBD merchants, nobody has been providing services even close to what they’re able to offer now. Since their banking partner doesn’t view CBD as high risk, like the rest of the processing world, they’re able to give their CBD merchants the best in merchant services.
They treat your business the same as if you were just selling books, clothing or food. No offshore accounts, no high rate of transaction declines, no skirting the system or integrating with shady, proprietary gateways.
You’ll also enjoy full featured benefits with your CBD merchant account that other processors simply can’t offer. Next day funding, POS & terminal integration and rates less than half of what other competitors are forcing merchants to pay.
So if you’re serious about taking your CBD business to the next level, feel free contact them today. Also take advantage of their fast approval time which only takes from 24 – 48 business hours!

Super G, formerly known as Supreme G, has been stepping their game up with their new cartridges. Similar to the Dank Vapes boxes but nothing else that compares. Although we came across Supreme pods right before they re-branded, Super Gs is the name they are now using Assuming copyright or maybe just a whole new re-brand, they remain putting out the same products and are the same company. It should be noted that these are not the same as Supreme Carts.
Pro:
Taste
Direct as noted on the box
Decent high, not too powerful
Con:
Hardware could be better
Soft smoke no thick hits unless drag for 5 plus seconds
Oil is a bit thin and runny
Recommendations: Look into lab results, previous results listed were fake. Lab results previously showed clean but same thing with the last review we did with and the results ended up being fake, vape at your own risk.
Check out our video review of the Super G cartridge below and keep reading on for the in-depth review.
Super G Cartridges made by the same makers of Supreme G Pods
To start, Super Gs are originated by Supreme G Pods. Although they have different Instagram handles, it is multiple backup accounts they have just in case one were to get deleted over the other.
Also, their lack of origins led to fake results being distributed. But, just like their Supreme Pods, the oil hits very clean and gives a pleasant high. There’s nothing odd about this cartridge at all. The only thing is we were disappointed about the thin oil but for what it’s worth, we aren’t sure yet if this one is a random street cart or not.
Previous False Lab Results
Recently, Supreme Gs ave been called out for people posting false lab results, making their brand seem unreliable. Many of us are always afraid to try a new cartridge but fail to differentiate between a street cart and an authentic one. This one is a bit different, only thing is their positive reputation and their fake lab results that others have posted. This seems to happen many times, where people receive a street cart and end up testing negative results for their false oil cartridge.
Authentic Lab Results Show Positive:
Super G cartridges contain great tasting, smooth oil
First off, Supreme G Carts look decent and the taste was amazing. But after its halfway oil gets runny, probably because of the hardware. Although we believe so, it can also be because of certain wattage you have it on your battery. We tried it with the Vessel battery and realized that with a lower temperature, it didn’t have this same problem.
Smooth and clean taste on the Super G cart
The same flavor as Supreme G Pods, it gives a nice and mellow, sweet taste. It also leads to a sinuous sensation where your nose gets tingly. Assuming that it comes from the terpenes, all it’s all plant-based according to one of the multiple accounts they have. Strong potent flavor probably used a good amount of terpenes. Regardless, the flavor tastes good and gives a clean high. After the cart reaches a certain limit, say less than half low, taste remains but somewhat lighter. Still clearly the same taste just not as strong.
Hardware is decent but hits are more difficult to inhale
As with the hardware itself, the glass cartridge wasn’t all that. CCELL‘s would be better, but in general, the hits did seem soft. There is an engraving inside the cartridge itself with a G, being different from typical cartridges. Assuming the hardware is by iKrusher, it uses custom cartridges for the brand. CCELL Supreme Gs would be impressive because the oil is worth changing the carts.
Fairly Efficient
Similar to the pods, it personally lasted around 5-7 days. The oil wasn’t thick one bit, but compared to the Lil Pump Smoke Unhappy carts, the oil was a bit runny and more potent than it seems.
Overall, a Super G cartridge is worth a try but could be great with better hardware
Re-branding should be considered with the hardware itself. As mentioned earlier, the hardware did make it difficult so take easy hits and thick smoke. Aside from that, we couldn’t find anything negative about them! But to conclude, the taste and oil were great and definitely worth the try.
Currently, their Instagram account has been taken down. If they come out with a website or new Instagram account we will post it back up here.

Barts Carts Cartridges are now popping up all over the place. What most consumers don’t know is they are not a legitimate brand. It’s uncertain there is any central company producing the THC oil that goes in these vape cartridges. Basically, there it’s very likely there is no consistency in oil quality across this “brand” and the only thing you can expect to be the same is the hardware itself.
Barts Carts Cartridges aren’t legit, as they would be stopped
Given the obvious trademark violations of Barts Carts cartridges copying Simpsons characters, this brand would be taken off the shelves of any legitimate stores. The interesting thing is these carts do not yet show up on DHgate or Alibaba, where hardware for Mario Carts and Exotic Carts are frequently sold. These carts are not part of the Cart Toon Carts brand and are made separately.
You can’t expect any consistency across the Bart Carts “brand” on anything but hardware
The fact is Bart Carts could be filled by anyone using any oil. There’s no validation for any of the processes. Strength, flavor, and effects could very from one location to the next. This is the opposite of carts like Select Elite that are consistent.
The hardware for Barts Carts will all be similar, at least for now. It’s possible that it will get duplicated as well, but for the current time we can expect consistency across the line for hardware. We doubt their products will hit as good as a CCELL or SPRK cartridge though.
Available “Strains” or “Flavors” could mean nothing
Currently there are ten strains we know of for Barts Carts cartridges.
The strains listed on the packaging really might mean nothing. So don’t rely on them for anything. Often street cartridges are filled with the same oil across different “flavors.” Also, many black market cartridges contain flavor additives and other than that are the same oil. Basically, take any strain names for granted.
You might see new strain types coming out for Bart Carts, but good chance it means nothing. Occasionally, you may have a dealer that fills his carts true to strain packaging. That’s rare but does happen. There are some black market sellers that do care about their customers out there.
Bart Simpson cartridges are spreading
These carts are spreading all over and all of them will feature Bart Simpson on them. They are very familiar looking packaging to Exotic Carts and it’s likely they come from the same manufacturer in China.
Eventually you will see these carts replicated also like Exotics. Many sellers make identical looking and performing Exotic Carts hardware that then gets filled by any random oil maker.
The problem with fake brands and cartridges
Whether it comes to fake cartridges that are counterfeits of other brands or brands that are fabricated altogether, the big problem is consumer safety. Nothing is there to regulate what is in the cart. Black market THC carts are frequently cut with MCT oil, Propylene Glycol, and Vegetable Glycerin. Most legit carts are a straight distillate or CO2 oil with terpenes added.
How to find legit cartridges and what to look for in illegal states
When you are in illegal states legit carts are hard to come by. If you are in a legal state the solution is easy: go to a licensed dispensary and from there you should be getting good quality THC cartridges.
However, here’s our tip for you to find good carts in illegal states: Look for the small brands if they are available. It’s common for dealers to say “this is from Cali” or some other legal state. The best thing you can do to get legit carts in illegal states is look for brands that are not yet counterfeited.
For example, if you find a Select Elite or Kurvana cartridge, it’s legit. They don’t make fakes (yet) for those brands. But if you are only seeking out Brass Knuckles and Heavy Hitters, good chance you are going to run into fakes.
Do you have a Barts Cart or a comment? We would love to hear your experience, please post your review or comment below!
Here we review the Alternate Vape Hemp E-Liquid. The product I tried was Mint, Natural Terpene Flavor, with 250mg CBD in a pre-filled 1ml cartridge.
Alternate Vape is a company out of Jennison, Michigan that stakes their claim in the vape industry by vowing to be hysterical about the quality of their “natural” ingredients. That is a huge selling point for me. The word natural has been so abused and overused in today’s marketing industry. But this company does seem especially dedicated to the origins and environmental integrity of the products they work with. Even if I liked the taste or feel of another company’s product better, the commitment to environmentally, appropriately farmed ingredients would keep me a loyal customer.
Before Alternate Vape’s product I had only tried a few CBD oils orally and had vaped twice with THC products. My view was that I consume CBD products in spite of the flavor because they are good for me and vaping isn’t every effective, as there is not any THC high like smoking flower. So I committed to consume the product but my expectations were low.
Appearance is good, product well constructed
The packaging was nice enough. I liked the soft colors. Upon opening the package I was struck by the cartridge and mouth piece. I expected a cheap plastic presentation for a disposable product. It seemed really well constructed and fits perfectly in the mouth for creating a seal for pulling on the product. I don’t see that they need to improve anything. The cartridge looks and feels like it is well made. I give them a 9 on appearance. It didn’t jump at me but was fine.
Taste is great, it was subtle yet delicious
When it comes to flavor I was so surprised. My first lung full of Alternate Vape’s product was absolutely heavenly. I was hooked on the flavor immediately. I consume mint products daily as well as growing my own mint at times. But this mint is delicious, subtle and seductive. I don’t know what an appropriate dose is but I just kept consuming it because the taste was exquisite! I mean that. The flavor is a definite 10.
Effective, found it to immediately subside pain
When the product arrived I was experiencing wrist pain again and having some skin issues from my over-consumption of coffee. As a harpist I pretty much guage my life by my wrist pain. I was shocked to find that my wrist pain subsided almost immediately. It had taken longer with the oral CBD products. I wasn’t even sure that I believed it until I finished the 1ml cartridge and the stiffness and discomfort in my wrist came right back.
Additionally I noticed an improvement in my vision, which has declined again since I ran out of the product. And I can report a noticeable positive shift of my plague psorisis. So, based on my personal experience, I have to give the product a 10 for effectiveness as well.
Value is good, it does what it’s supposed to
I find value to be a difficult category to evaluate. Anything that reduces pain or improves health is of course valuable at any cost. This product was valuable to me because it did what I wanted it to do – reduce my pain, and improve my skin, my vision and my overall health.
Now the question for me is vaping vs oral consumption. I think (don’t know for sure) that I got more value out of the vape then I did orally consumed products because I enjoy vaping now – at least this delicious product. The little 1ml vile lasted way longer than I thought it would and the convenience of vaping over oral consumption creates value for me. If I give this product a perfect ten for flavor, effectiveness and value many won’t believe me but that is my honest assessment. I like this company’s philosophy and I LOVED the product.
Atlas Extracts began in 2017 and produces a small range of CO2 oil vape cartridges. Their extracts make use of full plant extraction techniques which provide a full and natural flavor without the need to add back in extracted terpenes. Their extracts are marketed both for recreational and medical use and are available in California. If you are looking for the best THC carts in Cali, see our best list for CA.
Pros:
Good flavor
Thick vapor
Cons:
Low strength
Test results cannot be easily verified
No test results available for pesticides and residual solvents
Recommendations: Both the inclusion of in depth lab results and an improvement in potency would greatly improve this cartridge.
Mixed feelings on the Atlas Extracts cartridge
Atlas Extracts make use of CCELL tech that allows them to deliver thick and consistent hits on their cartridge. The oil itself, however, is lax in its potency and even with thick hits it takes several for them to take effect. The technical performance of the cartridge is definitely what one expects from CCELL. The oil is simply weak, not hitting hard even with thick deep hits. My feelings were also negatively impacted by the very unimpressive packaging. That said, upon research, I found that they did recently change the exterior packaging.
Standard hardware, performs well
The 510 threaded CCELL cartridge has become something of a standard which other carts are judged by and, as expected, here they perform well. The hits provided are thick and consistent, the cartridge efficiently vaporizes the oil and leaves only a tiny drop behind at the end. The mouthpiece is a simple round plastic design which does have a tendency to get very visible dirty over time. There’s little to complain about here but it does also mean that this cartridge fails to stand out in any way on this front.
Atlas Extracts vape cart lacks potency
The oil in the Atlas cart was of questionable quality. While it certainly does deliver in flavor, with a very pleasant tropical fruity and lightly piney taste, the potency was unimpressive. It is easy to puff on all day long without becoming a complete space cadet but it also means that the cart is empty in no time. It lasted me only a few days of moderate use. While the good flavor is more than appreciated it would be better if it were paired with a higher strength oil.
Testing unavailable for Atlas Extracts
While there is some very basic testing information visible on the label there is no source available to verify this testing. There is also no information whatsoever on pesticide or solvent testing. This doesn’t help the perceived quality of the oil, already lax due to the potency. Not only is the strength of the oil in question but it’s also uncertain if there are unwelcome toxins in the juice. More thorough information in the packaging would help greatly.
Great Number of Hits But Low Strength
The number of hits this cartridge delivers is impressive. Its low potency means it still ends up drained faster than others. The oil is incredibly viscous and dark. It doesn’t drain fast even with deep hits, but not so viscous it gets caught up in the canister and needs coaxing with a lighter. Overall it ends up on the upper end for number of hits but its weakness means that’s less of a benefit than it should be.
Atlas carts have great flavor
The taste of the Atlas cart was fantastic, at the very least. It’s easy to point this out as the one place where Atlas has excelled in their cartridge. Its strong tropical and herbal flavor makes for wonderfully enjoyable vaping experience. Low concentration means that it allows sipping on this cart at your own whim without worry that you get lost in the twilight zone. For those looking more for something tasty to sip on and not for a heavy high this is one place where the cartridge may be a good pick.
Good price on flavor, not on potency
At the price point, available around $30-40, I can’t say I would recommend Atlas as a bargain unless the person were only looking for flavor. This is, however, complicated by the lack of testing. While a lack of testing is still very commonplace among cartridges many people are uncomfortable with not knowing what their cart contains. As they should, Atlas would inspire much more confidence in their customers if they were to make their testing readily publicly available at least online.
Many places to improve Atlas Extracts vape cartridges
Atlas Extracts has a long way to go from my point of view. Changing their exterior packaging is a step in the right direction in one way. It still doesn’t handle the lack of comprehensive testing however. Even the newer packaging is also less impressive than some, such as the Cobra Extracts ELEV8 cart. The lacking potency leaves an obvious place for them to improve the actual contents of their cartridge. If they can up the potency while maintaining their current flavor they could definitely become a major contender.
In closing on this Atlas Extracts review…
I wouldn’t recommend the Atlas Extracts carts to anyone unless all they’re looking for is flavor. For those who have a particularly low tolerance this may be a good pick but for most the low strength will mean the oil drains in a flash. The flavor, however, is fantastic. At least until you get to the last quarter or so and it starts tasting burned. Atlas doesn’t do anything special on maintaining its flavor, though it’s never particularly strongly burnt. You can find the Atlas Extracts cartridges at Mountain High Recreation. You can read more about Atlas Extracts on their website here.
Yep, you heard right! Smoke Unhappy Carts by Lil Pump is a new and upcoming company from Lil Pump himself that features THC oil vape cartridges. In this review, we picked up Maui Wowie, that gave an amazing taste and a lasting high.
Smoke Unhappy Carts by Lil Pump: Overall great THC oil vape cartridges
Unhappy is Lil Pump’s merch company, selling a variety of clothes and accessories. Furthermore, Lil Pump recently came out with his own and separate smoke shop brand, selling products like cartridges, pre-rolled blunts, grinders and more. Because of how new these carts are, there’s little information to be found about them and unfortunately no lab results yet. Hopefully they plan on getting some pesticides test soon.
Website Now Available
Smoke Unhappy recently opened their website to the public! This is a relevant website selling multiple products. From selling merchandise, specifically shirts to selling CBD, Grinders and Vape Pens.
Smoke Unhappy – Maui Wowie gives a great, smooth taste and a euphoric high
The flavor of this cartridge, Maui Wowie, has to be my personal favorite feature about these Unhappy Carts. Maui Wowie gives such a sweet, tropical like taste all through out the cartridge. With no bad aftertaste or any drawbacks, this flavor is so tasteful, it made me keep hitting it consistently.
Along with that comes an uplifting and lasting high with just a few hits. I did enjoy everything about the taste and the high of these Unhappy Carts. The only thing is that the potency of the oil didn’t match the consistency of it. Although the oil felt strong, the oil was pretty thin for me, personally.
Smoke Unhappy Carts oil has a strong gold color, but is fairly thin
With Maui Wowie being a pleasant sativa, this flavor gave me a happy and uplifting high. The only thing about them is how light I personally thought the oil was. This could explain why it tasted so good, but because the oil was thin, it does burn easily. It’s not that the oil isn’t potent, because it did get me baked with a few hits. But I personally would prefer if the oil was thicker, even if it means lessterpenes.
Smoke Unhappy Carts Were Not as efficient due to its consistency
I did tend to go through these Unhappy Carts a lot quicker than I thought. The main reason was because of its levels of oil consistency, As mentioned earlier, the oil was fairly thin and light. Again, this doesn’t mean that the oil was weak, because it was strong, it’s just a little too thin for me, making it easier to go through.
The cartridge itself broke apart halfway through the cart
As I was smoking this cartridge, the more I kept smoking it the more I realized that the cartridge hardware itself isn’t as quality. Halfway done with the cart, it started giving harsh hits. Not because of the oil, rather because I felt as if the cartridge wasn’t burning evenly due to its bad hardware.
Not only this, but the cartridge itself, specifically the atomizer, actually broke while connected to my Vessel battery. This was a bit upsetting because I actually did like the oil and taste of the distillate itself. But all I did was exchange the oil from one cartridge to another one and it was all good again. This did waste a little bit of distillate, but I’d rather have that than waste the whole cartridge all together.
Recently upgraded their cartridge to a CCELL
This really does make a huge difference as to the efficiency and the way these hit. This unique CCELL cartridge is probably one of the first cart to have such a unique cartridge, at least that I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately we haven’t tried these yet, we picked up the first cartridge version before these ones came out. When ever we encounter these, we will update this post and give our opinion on them.
Above all, Smoke Unhappy Carts are amazing and definitely recommended
Overall, I really did enjoy almost everything about these cartridges. From the lasting high, to the amazing taste, I do highly recommend anyone try these if they ever encounter them. The only thing that I don’t like is how there are no lab results out yet. Regardless of how good a cartridge is, without any pesticide test it can be susceptible to have artificial flavors. Again, this company is still relatively new, so we hope they update and get some official results out. Diksha

Live resins are type of cannabis concentrate, like wax or shatter, that is produced using a technique that takes freshly harvested cannabis and freezes it immediately and throughout the extraction process. They are higher in terpenes than other cannabis material. Terpenes are oils secreted by the cannabis plant that give each strain its unique taste and smell. One great thing about terpenes is that they are produced by the very same glands that produce THC and CBD. There are numerous types of terpenes. More than 100 of them have been identified to this day. Another amazing about terpenes is they have their own distinct medicinal property. There are terpenes made to cure anxiety, depression, insomnia, cancer, or nausea. Live resin is processed in a way that does not decarboxylate the cannabis plant. As result, you get better aromas, better flavors, and better medicinal effects.
Origin of Live Resin
Live resin originated in the fall of 2013 when William “Kind Bill” Fenger and entrepreneur EmoTek Labs founder “Giddy Up” joined forces to introduce live resin to the cannabis scene. Since 95% of the plant’s terpenes is lost from harvest through the final curing process, Fenger thought instead of processing the leaf a batch of butane hash oil not from dried buds or trim, it’s processed from a freshly harvested, flash-frozen whole plant. He thought that this could produce a concentrate with the terpene profile and pungency of a plant fresh from the garden. Later on, Fenger coined the term live resin.
Even though the process of making fresh frozen butane hash oil (BHO) started in 2011, the results weren’t as good as the ones Fenger and Giddy Up did later on. This is because they were using the open-blasting method. Open blasting takes place within a glass or metal tube and is a solvent-based extraction performed without a closed-loop system.
Similarities and Differences of Live Resin to other concentrates
Similarities:
Making live resin is a lot similar to the creation of other concentrates such as wax, honey oil, and shatter. A solvent is forced through the the plant matter and extracts the chemicals from it. This includes THC, CBD, and terpenes,
Live resin and concentrates have higher THC content than bud you might smoke or mix in edibles. They can have as much as 80-90% THC.
They all have Butane as the most common solvent, which is why most concentrates are referred to as butane hash oil or BHO
Differences:
The main difference is live resins have higher terpene level compared to other concentrates.
The texture and consistency of live resin are different compared to other cannabis extracts. They have a very bright golden color and a very gooey and granular consistency.
Prices for live resin is relatively higher compared to other concentrates. Mainly because it requires a full lab setup and trained technicians to produce it.
Juul was originally made for vaping nicotine e Liquid, not for using THC and CBD pods. However, almost all technology used in THC and CBD cartridges is borrowed from eCigs and e Liquid, so why not use your Juul to blaze? One reason not to is there are better vape systems, but many still like to hit the Juul for THC, so we will go through how to refill it yourself and the companies that are making prefilled THC Juul pods.
This guide covers how to make a THC Juul Pod. It’s a simple process to put weed in Juul pod once you break it down and anybody can do it. We will go through step by step how to fill up a Juul pod with THC or CBD oil. This method can be used to refill an existing nicotine Juul pod you have our filling up something like the Hempod that is an empty, Juul compatible pod.
Only a few basic items are needed to create a THC Juul Pod:
Thin flat head screwdriver or knife
THC oil or CBD e Liquid in a syringe (you can make it too, explained below)
Used Juul pod or an empty replacement pod
If you are doing CBD make sure to use CBD e Liquid not tincture! CBD tinctures you take orally are not meant to be vaped and CBD e Liquids are not meant to be taken orally. See these examples of CBD e Liquid and this example of CBD tincture.
You can also replace the cotton in the mouthpiece, but this step is not required and something we normally would not do. See BeyondThePod’s above mentioned post for that step if you wish to complete the step. It’s not a necessary step to replace the oil, but some people might like the new cotton on in the mouthpiece.
Step 1: Get a liquid concentrate or make some
Go to the next step if you already have a liquid concentrate like CO2 oil or distillate ready to go. If you need to make THC e liquid, see our guide on how to make your own oil pen. The same process of making THC e liquid can be used to make liquid for your THC Juul pod.
Step 2: Take off the plastic top of your Juul pod
If you have purchased empty pods you can skip this step. Most pods that come empty do not have the mouthpiece attached. Using a screwdriver as shown above, unlock the mouthpiece. You can do it on both sides, but if you get one side off it should still come off. Once unlocked, grab the base of the Juul pod with one hand and the mouthpiece with the other and wiggle it off all the way and it should look like the below picture.
Step 3: Open your Juul pod with a flat screwdriver or knife
On the side of your Juul pod you will see where the cap made to hold juice in meets the edge. There are two ways to get it out. The easy way is dip it in with a small flathead screwdriver as shown below. Some empty pods may also come with this top off, in which case you can skip this step.
Then pull the screwdriver out with it tilted so it pulls out the mouth piece. The second method involves using a knife on the edge. It is more difficult but should work as well. You can even cut into the rubber slightly with the knife to pull it out using the tip and the cut as a way to grab the rubber. A knife that does not bend easily is recommended.
Your Juul pod should look like the above once the cap is removed. It’s ready to get filled with THC or CBD oil.
Step 4: Fill your Juul pod with THC or CBD oil
Get your THC or CBD oil syringe and unload it into the empty pod. Fill it to 80% capacity and that should leave enough room for the rubber top when you put it back on.
Step 5: Reinsert the rubber plug and pop on the mouthpiece
Pop on the rubber plug and make sure that it has a tight fit. If the airflow is not tight it may not hit well or activate the Juul battery to hit at all.
The pod on the left in the above photo shows what it should look like with the plug on. The pod on the right is a completed and ready to vape THC Juul pod.
Re using Juul pods for THC is not our top choice, or even a recommended one
At DabConnection we are not big fans of the Pax Era because it is wicked and you will find that most of the Juul pods out there for THC are also wicked. By wicked, we mean it hits off a cotton wick instead of a ceramic core. See our Hempod review or skip straight to the breakdown of the hardware. Then you will see why we don’t recommend these as the best way to vape THC or CBD. There are some ceramic core options out there as well and those may provide a better experience.
An empty replacement pod is still better than refilling
When you refill a Juul pod there is still left over nicotine in it. There are empty pod systems out there and while we have only tried a few, we have read comments on forums that the J Pods are decent. Ar $12.99 for a 4 pack it is cheaper than CCELL hardware.
THC Juul Pods prefills currently available
This list will continue to grow as more THC Juul pods are made. We will also be adding reviews to the various prefilled pods as we get our hands on them.
Bare Pods by Bare Extracts
Bare Extracts is fairly well known as a product around California, but we could not find any definitive information for this brand. Their products are listed as as brand on Weedmaps and it appears to be associated with the BARE industry clothing brand, but we could not find an official website on the pods. They are also referred to as “Bare x J Pods” signfiying the J Pod, Juul compatible hardware they use.
Our reviewer Javier has tried Bare pods and said they were weak. Looking across Weedmaps reviews, most of their pods are scoring in the 2 star range, meaning most users are not satisfied with Bare pods. Their is also Bare GoPods out there we reviewed, but we can’t tell for sure if they are real or fake.
With not a whole lot of positive reviews on Bare pods, you might be disappointed.
Kushie Gold THC Juul Pods by Kushie Brand
Kushie Brand is a legitimate California based cannabis brand that makes Kushie Gold pods. They were featured in the Vice article about THC Juul Pods. While they are compatible with Juul, Kushie also has it’s own battery released that works with its pods and other Juul pods, and it has the Kushie logo on it.
Here are the strains we could find for Kushie Brand THC Juul Pods:
Their pods have very few reviews, but for the ones it does have they are 5 stars. Hard to tell though when a product has so few if they are good or not, but worth trying.
Supreme Pods by Supreme G Extracts
Supreme G extracts is a newer company that does not have a website, but they do have an official Instagram page. We could not find all their strains, but these are the ones we are aware of:
Juul pods can come prefilled with CBD. They are not made with tinctures, but with CBD e Liquid put into a Juul pod. You will see a huge price difference between different pods. CBD is a heavily paid-to-promote industry and the more promoted the product, the more expensive it is. You may see similar lists where the most expensive ones are promoted. Here at DabConnection we want to give you the most info for you to make your own choice, so we include the price up top.
Airbender CBD Juul pods come in the small size of 200mg. They have quite a few different strains and the 200mg pods are only $19.99. Not a bad price per mg at all.
A pack of Calm Pods contains 2 disposable pods that deliver 50mg each. That’s about 300 puffs per pod. What’s great about this is you can choose from 8 different available flavors. There have been a lot of good reviews so far for Calm Pods.
These are weaker than other CBD pods, but they do come in a four pack. Someone looking for a low dose over more vape hits might like these. Some sites are selling the four packs for $39.99, but you can get Chill CBD pods for $24.99 at the link above.
Even smaller than Airbender pods, the Earthie pods come in at a small 100mg size. At $29.97 a piece that is about 150% more expensive than Airbender’s pods. Probably not a great deal and a reason you will see Earthe pods on paid promotion lists. They do have a wife variety of flavors though.
Hempod offers prefilled CBD pods in both broad spectrum (500mg) and regular (300mg). The broad spectrum pods are made with CO2 CBD oil and natural derived terpenes. The regular pods are made with CBD isolate.
At $17.99 for 375mg of CBD, JGO CBD Juul pods are a good deal. They only have four flavors, but they have good reviews, averaging 4.5 stars out of 5 with 34 reviews.
A pack of OG CBD Pods is a total of 500mg. There are 4 pods per pack carrying 125mg each. There are 6 flavors available, with the pineapple and blue razz flavor seeming to be a crowd favorite.
These pods are a much better deal than Airbender or Earth. Each pack of Zilla CBD pods comes with two 300mg pods for $19.99. They have six different flavors to choose from. Hempzilla so far is the best price per mg we could find.
The truth about Juul’s hard hits
Juul has been promoted by Pax Labs, formerly Ploom, as a way to get people off smoking and vaping instead. Many smokers have switched to Juul that otherwise did not like regular eCigs. The reason smokers like Juul over regular eCigs is they hit harder. We think the reason they hit harder is because you are also hitting the wick, similar to how dab pens were five years ago. We make no claims on safety, but avid THC vapers mostly avoid wicks in favor of ceramic core cartridges.
Better options than the Juul for THC and CBD
All of the following methods of vaping THC we have found to be better than Juul pods: new generation CCELL carts, ALD’s vFire, refilling Stiiizy pods, and the Bud Tank V16. CCELL and Bud Tank are standard cart style, while the vFire and Stiiizy are also pods. Stiiizy has significantly weakened their oil and we now recommend them only for refills, unless you are specifically looking for a weaker effect. Vaporesso products also have a lot of buzz, especially the Cascade.
Concluding our round up on THC Juul pods
We hope this guide helped educate you on THC and CBD Juul pods. Let us know if there is any information we can improve, brands we should add that we missed, or other methods you have seen that help in refilling Juul pods with THC or CBD oil. Comment below or post in our forum!
Here we list the best cartridges for California for 2019. Specifically, THC oil vape cartridges that are prefilled. This list is compiled based on our reviewers who actually used the products. This list will be continuously updated throughout the year as we discover new cartridges and existing companies make better (or worse) products.
If you are looking for specifically live resin, check out our best live resin cartridge list that includes carts from California.
The best cartridges in California list
On this best cartridge list we are not declaring one single winner since there are so many good carts and so many out there. These carts we list are ones that shined above the rest. Additionally, since California is a big state, this list is based on reviews from our reviewers across the state.
Before we did our list we took a look at a few others on the internet. We found that some were done by people that never even tried the cartridges. Pay for play on weed sites is common. Then there’s the issues with WeedMaps reviews. That’s why we made DabConnection: to bring you unbiased info and honest opinions from experienced reviewers. We don’t charge for reviews nor do we allow anyone to pay for a favorable reviews or placement on a list such as this anywhere on our site.
Below we will go through each brand that earned a spot on this list.
Aces Extracts: Might be the strongest overall
We recently tried Aces Extracts and even though our review is not up yet, they deserve a spot on this list. Although Aces vape pens might not be heavily advertised, they are heavy on strength. Their Energize vape really does energize you and the flavor is very similar to Kabunky, one of our favorite Nevada brands. The Aces vape we tried was about 80% THC, but effects were stronger than other carts that we tried that tested over 90% THC.
They won some awards from High Times as well, one of them being People’s Choice award in 2018. That’s probably the most important award from High Times, and the only one we care about, since the rest of the first place spots seem to only go to people that spend a lot on advertising with them.
AiroPro is also available Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and Maryland. They are made by Airo Vapor. So keep that AiroPro battery with you when you travel. It made second place on our Nevada best cartridges list only because it was edged out by Roots cartridges, which are not available in California.
They use proprietary hardware and a vibrating battery that produce great results. The hardware, although not denoted, is made by CCELL so quality hardware is ensured. AiroPro makes strong oil that has some of the best flavors. Some have complained that the AiroPro battery is $35. Check at the dispensary or store you are at, if they have the battery without the case, then it’s just $15. Considering how good these hit, it’s worth getting the new battery. See our AiroPro review for an in depth look at this vape setup.
Alpine Live Resin Cartridge – Great Quality, Taste, and Effects
Alpine Live Resin was a pleasant surprise, given that our previous review of Alpine Vapor products found us wanting. These limited edition Live Resin cartridges lived up to our every expectation in quality, taste, and effects.
We tried three varieties of their Live Resin cartridges: the Zkittlez Punch, the Golden Strawberry Lemonade, and the GMO x BP9. All three maintained exceptional quality across the spectrum, with the Zkittlez being our favorite. Alpine also uses ceramic cartridges, which hit great. We’ll consider these among some of the best live resin carts going, which is not a consideration we meet out easily around here! View our full Alpine Vapor Live Resin review for the breakdown.
Buddies Brand Live Resin Cartridge Review – Excellent Quality, Potency, and Taste
Buddies Brand has a reputation for quality products in the vape puffing community. We gave them a try, and discovered that they do indeed live up to this reputation. While this “Liquid Diamonds” Live Resin did seem to burn a tad fast for our speed, we did enjoy it while it lasted. The cartridge could also be improved by going to glass instead of plastic. But besides those points, the oil is potent and tasty and we can’t argue with the reasonable price either. View our full Buddies Liquid Diamonds review here.
Chemistry: Strong and flavorful full spectrum oil
These things are simply strong. Chemistry cartridges may have lower looking THC percentages sometimes, but the strength is there. We put these ahead of most carts in the 80s and 90s and for those looking for the most calming effect, this may be your best choice.
From flavor to strength, the Chemistry cart is an awesome choice. It may not have cool advertising, but we’ll take good oil over that any day. See our Chemistry cart review for more info.
Dime cartridges: Hard hitting, tastes great
With an excellent overall quality, the Dime cartridge is a patented zero-waste atomizer. The distillate is one of the smoothest vapes you’ve had that doesn’t hit hot. The cartridge is an efficient design that doesn’t waste a drop.
The Dime Industries cartridge is tasty, smooth hitting, and has a quality buzz that makes the cartridge last for weeks. They hit well without being harsh, and is priced reasonably. The oil is almost indistinguishable from super-clean e-juice.
The Eden Extracts cartridge was a bit more expensive than most of this list, but well worth it. The cart we reviewed was from their Diamond Line. Quality oil, unique hardware that did not disappoint, and a strong high are some of the reasons Eden Extracts makes this list.
We hope to see this brand in more and more stores in the future. Check out our Eden Extracts review for more info.
In California, sauce pods for $25 for a half gram and $50 for a full gram pre-tax is unheard-of. These are the real deal, full-strength potent albeit lacking in the taste department. In this case, it gets a pass for being the most affordable sauce in Cali.
With darker and thicker oil, these pods remind us of Heavy Hitters in the potency department. Put sauce in a VFire pod system and sell it for rock-bottom prices for California, and we have to take notice! The strong effects are initially uplifting and euphoric before settling into a more relaxed mode. They do feel a tad harsh and the flavor is the weak point, but this is a sauce pod after all. Check out our HiFly Sauce Pod review for our full impression.
Jetty Extracts: Clean, strong oil with great taste
Available up and down the state, Jetty Extracts has tested clean in more than one independent test. They deliver on strength, flavor, and they use authentic CCELL hardware.
The wood tipped cartridge is a nice touch. Their packaging is awesome too, but we judge it based on the actual oil and hardware. With industry veteran Nate working behind the scenes you know they are going to keep coming out with top notch products. He used to run the best downtown San Diego dispensary and he is a true expert in extracts. See our Jetty Extracts cartridge review for more info on their dank carts.
Justdab: Mostly in the San Bernadino but they are great if you can find them
Their extracts are available at more places than their carts. They use good hardware and awesome live resin. Taste and strength are both excellent on Justdab cartridges. At $30 most places they are a great value as well. See our Justdab cart review for more info.
Korova Cartridge: Known for edibles, and now carts
New to the game of THC oil carts, but been around the cannabis industry in CA for a long time, Korova came out strong. Their carts have excellent strength, use new gen CCELL hardware, and are priced competitively. Considering how long it lasts and how strong it is, the price is a great deal.
When we reviewed the original Kurvana cartridge we were disappointed. Kurvana was there before cartridges were strong, so it’s not unexpected that they had an original formula they used for a while that was pretty weak. Then they changed their hardware and formula, relabeling their carts as Kurvana ASCND.
They came back strong with the ASCND and now it’s one the best cartridges filled with THC oil in California. Check out our complete Kurvana ASNCD review for more info.
Moxie Pods: Top quality oil, top strength
You can’t go wrong with a MOXIE pod. From start to finish, the MOXIE pod is awesome. Back when we reviewed Moxie cartridges, we found them to be acceptable but mediocre, less than we expected form the Moxie name. The Moxie Pod, however, gave us the full Moxie experience and blew us away on strength.
MOXIE pods are straight fire on strength. Super strong oil, combined with one of the hardest-hitting pods that you can get results in an ultra-strong hit and effects. We had some minor nitpicks on efficiency and design, but still found the pods to be good on overall build quality.
Nuvata vape pens are a recycle-able single-dose pens with a THC distillate. They’re famous for their unique body and bold color scheme which is helpful to neophyte vapers. They use pesticide-free cannabis cultivated throughout California.
Their high is a force of nature, while their tastes and bold and appealing. The pens are top-quality design, with anti-clogging technology, dual air-flow mouthpieces for smooth hits, and precision heating with a ceramic coil. The designs overall are a sleek, discreet wonder of molded plastic which is finger-friendly and about the size of a pack of gum.
Old Pal is the best value on a legit vape cartridge in CA, but users report varying quality (Dec 2020 Update Below)
Update 12/15/2020: Due to many comments on YouTube and our site about varying Old Pal experiences we feel the need to post this message. Our experiences with Old Pal have been great but people have commented that at times the products have been awful. The amount of comments to this effect makes us this it might be very likely and thus we post this warning that experiences with Old Pal seem to vary greatly by batch in both California and Nevada.
When people first see an Old Pal cart on the menu they may ask, why is it so cheap? We’re not really sure yet either, but the quality is excellent. You can often find 500mg carts for $15 and 1000mg carts for $17 in California.
Hardware is good, the oil is thick and the effects are strong too. Old Pal might be the best dollar for dollar cannabis products anywhere. They also made our best cart list for Nevada.
Plug Play is a direct competitor of Stiiizy (who would have made our list had it been as strong as it was in 2017). They use the vFire pod system made by ALD.
The pods hit well and Plug Play uses great quality oil in the pods. They used to be labeled as Plug and Play but more recently we are seeing it only labeled as Plug Play. See our Plug Play vape review for an in depth look at this great THC pod system.
stick e vape: Strong all around and great flavor
stick e vape is made by Tradecraft Farms, a Southern California based cultivator. Their buds are great and so are their cartridges.
Strong and with a great waxy flavor, these are a great pick and they won a High Times award last year. Although our readers put little weight on High Times awards, their cartridges are legit on quality. See our stick e vape review for an in depth look.
From the top to the bottom: Stiiizy previously weakened oil, but now may be coming back
There’s a ton of other cartridges out there that are great we have not tried and there are others we tried that were not exactly great. Then there’s Stiiizy. It was one of the best THC oil vapes in 2017 and over 2018 they changed their oil to a weaker formula. However, recently Stiiizy oil has been looking lighter again, and we need to try it again to see if it is as good as it was.
Their hardware is made by ALD just like vFire used in the Plug and Play vape. The new generation CCELL cartridges perform better than Stiiizy’s pod setup (or Pax Era’s), but if Stiiizy is coming back in with some stronger oil it might be a winner again.
Lots of old reviews are still out there
Stiiizy went from a light colored fine distillate to a yellow colored oil that we are not sure how it’s made. But now it has come back to being a light distillate again, but we have not yet tried the latest version. We recently updated our Stiiizy review to reflect the current state of their pods. The hardware is still great it just needs strong oil added to it. If you have a Stiiizy battery and pod lying around, check out our guide on how to refill a Stiiizy pod.
Raw Garden: Weaker than before, and it’s not real live resin
Overall, for the price Raw Garden carts are not that bad, but they do not warrant a spot on the best list anymore either. They are not as strong as when they came out and they currently are the subject of a class-action lawsuit.
Heavy Hitters Live Resin : Still Expensive, No Longer Live Resin
Heavy Hitters! Oh how you fell from grace! Heavy Hitters was on our list for the longest time, but as of 2024 we were disappointed to discover that they no longer use live resin wax. It’s a shame to see a good brand go low quality after all this time, while still keeping its brand-name inflated price tag.
Once, HH Live Resin did wonders to redeem the Heavy Hitters name. Our full HH Live Resin review here.
Select Elite: Has gotten weaker over time
Select Elite is made by Select Oil, originally founded in Washington by Nitin Khanna. A great sounding name for starting a cannabis company. They are in multiple states and previously also made our best list for Nevad as well. Now Select Elite carts are weaker than they were before. They never had great taste, but they sued to be strong as well. Now they don’t meet the requirements to be on the best list.
Select had one issue we came across. Their packaging claimed 80% THC and in fact it was 86% THC when tested independently. So their stuff is sometimes even better than they say it is! See our oil pen tests page for more info on Select Elite pesticides and solvent tests. In a dispensary and don’t know what to choose? Good chance Select Elite is there and it’s a great choice.
The only change we would like to see on Select Elite is ceramic top carts. Only had one fail on us but it would have been way easier to transfer the oil on a ceramic top CCELL. The plastic tops are very hard to get off, if you can get em off at all. Check out our review on Select Elite cartridges for more info.
Sunday Goods: Little known brand that makes strong vape carts
Intense effects and true to strain flavor, Sunday Goods cartridges are a little more expensive than average for California at $45 a pop, but the quality makes it worth it. Our reviewer picked his up from MedMen San Diego and was impressed with it’s quality.
Sunday Goods carts are available across the state and are a solid choice for someone looking for a good strong cartridge. Check out our Sunday Goods cartridge review for more information.
Sunderstorm Wind: Top quality oil with a strong hit
Made with pure TCH distillate, the Sunderstorm Wind vape cartridge we tried was the first name in top oil quality. Sunderstorm, an L.A. company, manufactures and distributes their own product, and it shows. A sturdy cart with a pesticide-free distillate that hits smooth and packs a potent punch. The mouthpiece is designed for maximum airflow, big hits and thick, satisfying clouds.
This is what a real 90% THC cartridge feels like. The distillate has CBD present, which gives it a full body effect that’s nearly hallucinogenic. According to the COA, the batch of distillate we tried tested negative for nearly everything, being produced with zero solvent and filler. It had just enough terpenes to add a bit of taste and some extra buzz. Check out our full Sunderstorm Wind vape review here.
Wrapping up our Best Cartridges California list…
California has a lot of cartridges to choose from. We hope this list gives you some guidance on great brands if you are looking to pick something up. Things change often with cartridges. New brands come out and existing brands up the quality of their formulas, so we’ll keep updating this page as we go through more THC carts. Sometimes you see cartridges go from good to bad, or weak to great like Kurvana.
Both popular cartridges known for their strength and taste. Here, we compare Dank Vapes vs Cereal Carts and point out the differences between them.
Dank Vapes vs Cereal Carts: Background between them
Still with no official background to register any company, Dankwoods appears to be running Dank Vapes. With the only resource being their Instagram account, there is still no real information about the company.
As for Cereal Carts, there are rumors that they are actually being produced by Dank Vapes itself. Although we aren’t too sure how accurate this is, Dank Vapes Official do follow Cereal Carts Instagram account. Also, they consistently tag and share their posts and cartridges consistently. Even the package style and cartridge look almost identical.
Looking for carts better than both and in CA or NV? See our top THC cart lists for both California and Nevada.
UPDATE 9/11/2019: DISCLAIMER: In light of more recent news, it has become apparent that black market cartridges, counterfeit cartridges, and fake brands of cartridges have become more widespread than we had ever realized. We urge readers to apply their own discretion, and caution that at no point should readers assume that a review of a cartridge on our site is a guarantee of its safety. We advise readers to always verify their cartridges as coming from a legitimate source.
UPDATE 10/23/2019: Dank Vapes and Cereal Carts are all fake. There is some speculation that Dank Vapes was previously a real brand, but at this point we assume all are fake.
Both taste amazing, which is better?
As mentioned in previous posts, Dank Vapes are known for their tasteful flavors, with them having a variety of strains. Dank’s are always coming out with new flavors, and each strain is always satisfying in taste. We’ve tried multiple flavors from them, even back when they had the old packaging and every strain always taste amazing. We recently tried Dank Vapes Sunset Sherbert, and it really did give a sweet and fascinating taste.
As for Cereal Carts, they are more susceptible and unsure as to what’s infused in the distillate. Each strain being only cereal branded flavors, it’s more likely that the terpenes could be artificial. We can’t be too sure due to their labeling claiming zero percent cut and 10% terpenes. We did encounter a fake Cereal Cart, and it gave really light and dissatisfying taste.
Dank Vapes failed in pesticides, Cereal Carts remain a mystery
Unfortunately, Dank Vapes have had negative lab results, containing pesticides and false THC percentages. Whereas they claim to be 80-90% THC, their test show a to be 60-70%.
As for Cereal Carts, they remain without a test, leaving users clueless about them. With the only information being their Instagram account, it wouldn’t be surprised if contain pesticides in them. There still is no saying due to their lack of background, this is just an assumption from our research.
Oil quality – Which one is more potent?
First off, Dank Vapes and Cereal Carts have a lot in common with their distillate and packaging. They even have a few identical strains that look exactly like each other. The only actual difference seems to be the flavor and color of oil itself.
As said earlier, we can’t be too confident as to what’s actually in them. The flavor to all strains always taste amazing and exactly as the packaging says to be. The fact that there’s no background to them causes serious rumors and damage to the companies reputation.
From our experience, both brands do provide decent quality oil. The consistency does vary depending which flavor, but for the most part it has a strong color to it. Neither cartridge may not be as potent as I’d like, but they both deliver tasty flavors.
Efficiency for the two were the same
Dank Vapes vs Cereal Carts both use CCELL cartridges. These carts are specifically designed for thicker oil and tasteful hits. This gives it really efficient and smooth hits depending the type of battery mod you use.
On the down side, the black market is still popular on all of these brands and fake CCELL cartridges. With fake CCELL’s, they carry weak atomizers and give lighter hits than normal. We did encounter a fake Cereal Cart and even though it was still somewhat efficient, it came leaking.
Dank Vapes vs Cereal Carts: Both are even in value
When it comes to both of these cartridges, it all leads to preference. Price varies depending where you’re from but for the most part, in our experience, they both cost around the same. Although they do taste amazing, Dank Vapes and Cereal Carts aren’t as trustworthy as they should be.
Furthermore, Dank Vapes failed for pesticides multiple times, and had a lower THC percentage than they claim. From our research, we’d have to say that the more credible and known company would be Dank Vapes.
In regards to Cereal Carts, we can’t really say much due to the lack of their background. They have no lab results or background about them, making them a bit more suspicious. Yeah some of these flavors may taste amazing, especially for people who love cereal but we just aren’t too sure what exactly is in them.
Countless distributors are selling counterfeits everywhere
From social media platforms to bulk online shopping websites, counterfeit packages and unauthentic cartridges are disrupting these brands. This problem could be considered an epidemic, allowing these fakes to fall in the hands of may people. Apart from this, it still remains unsure as to what’s really in these cartridges, especially Cereal Carts.
Concluding Dank Vapes vs Cereal Carts
The question between the two all leads to preference in which flavor you prefer. Personally, I prefer Dank Vapes just because they are just a little more familiar. With Cereal Carts, I thought that the flavor tasted too identical to the cereal itself. This made me wonder if there’s any sort of artificial flavors in them.
Overall, neither companies are as trustworthy as I’d like them to be. Apart from Dank Vapes showing bad tests, there’s a lot of fakes going around, making it hard to trust them. Cereal Carts don’t have any information at all, therefore we can’t fully rely on them too. If both companies fix these set backs, they will become a lot more reputable and safer to vape. Dank Vapes is overall the winner between the two.

Vape cartridges are everywhere and are now the preferred method for blazing THC oil among many. What’s not covered on most sites’ top lists is that the cartridges change from state to state. Some brands cross over states, but only a few. Here we go through our picks for the best THC vape cartridges for 2022. This list will be continuously updated throughout the year.
If you are looking for specifically live resin, check out our best live resin cartridge list that includes carts from Nevada.
Our list of the best cartridges in Nevada is based on actually using them
Our overallbest THC distillate cartridges for Nevada are from Roots and Cannavative when it comes to straight strength. The overall strongest live resin carts for Nevada have been from AiroPro, HSH, and Fuze. The overall best-tasting cart that still has great strength is IndoCart, particularly Sky Daddy OG.
Roots Extracts is a small company and not advertised, but you will find it in the store – they sell out quickly. Same thing with Cannavative. For some reason, those two brands of carts seem to just disappear from the shelves. We have actually used the cartridges we are listing here. Be wary of the best cartridge lists where the writers have not tried the carts. This seems to be common.
At this point with only state legalization, cartridges are a state-by-state evaluation for the most part. You will find a couple of brands crossing over states and you will see some of those brands on our list as well, but even the same brand in a different state is made with different cannabis at its base. Cannabis sites are notorious for paid promotion and some will start to give you skewed lists as well. Since we know Weedmaps reviews are rigged, they can’t be trusted either to deduce the best THC cartridges.
Now we will go through each cart that makes our best-of list. We will continuously update this list as we review more cartridges or if things change. DabConnection reviews are 100% bias-free and no company can pay for any placement or ranking on our site. May the best THC cartridges win and the worst be noted so you save money.
We encountered 702 Brand carts on a random stop at one of our favorite dispensaries, and grabbed then for a “wild card” cart review. Even though the bag packaging led us to expect a low-quality product, we were pleasantly surprised.
Inside the unassuming little black bag is a CCELL clone of a M6T which is a solid hardware choice. It’s filled with a half gram of quality distillate using real cannabis terpenes, producing a tasty vape that reminds us more of live resin than distillate, flavor-wise. The oil was thick and consistent, giving us a last puff that was enjoyable as the first. The thing we learned when we tried the 702 Brand cart is “don’t judge a book by its cover.” Our full 702 Brand review here.
Airo Pro: Consistently the best on taste and a close second on strength
Airo Pro is a brand of Airo Vapor uses its own proprietary battery and cartridge system. Many have complained that the battery is $35 but in fact you can find it without the case, by itself in the box, for a very reasonable $15. I bought one for this much at Essence Tropicana West (well actually I redeemed free credits, even better!). Their proprietary system is manufactured by CCELL. It gives a great hit, is consistent, and efficient.
Sumatran Sunrise is one of the best strains they have. A super energetic sativa. While getting second overall and being second on strength (the most important factor on our list),Airo Pro also has the best tasting THC cartridges in Nevada. Mountain Mist in particular has an awesome menthol taste to it. Airo Pro is also available Colorado, Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona and Maryland.
Bring that battery with you when going to another state! See our complete Airo Pro review for more info. Airo Pro ties with Cannavative for second as both have comparable strength cartridges.
BaM Pods: Can’t believe a Gio Pod ranks this high, but their BHO oil is just too good
Body and Mind is another lesser known company that is producing amazing oil. The only BHO based pick on this list, their 91% THC Bubble Gum was one of the strongest vape pods we have ever tested. BHO in some states can mean left over solvents from shady practices. In Nevada the testing is strict, so that BHO is clean!
Taste was also excellent unless you burn the wick. The downside to BaM is their oil is paired with the G Pen Gio. See our breakdown of the G Pen Gio and you will get why this is a bad thing. Hit it too hard and you burn the wick. That burn taste sticks with you for the rest of the pod.
That being said, BaM makes such a high quality oil you cannot deny them a top spot as one of the best cartridges (or really a pod here) in Nevada. We hope to see their oil in CCELLs or syringes sometime soon and if so, they could be ranking higher. Our BaM pod review covers their pods in more detail.
Cannavative: Awesome strength, high end oil
Cannavative is newly added to the lineup in September of 2019. They use clear distillate in their cartridges that has a unique look. The company is also known for making some of the world’s best shatter. Their carts have become very strong and they use the same TH2 CCELL as Roots. They are tied with Airo Pro as some of their carts and Airo Pros are matched on strength.
They place above Select Elite due to better taste and hardware. Our top strain pick for Cannavative is Double Dream. See our in depth Cannavative cartridges review for more info.
Fuze Live Resin: Strong, sweet taste, long-lasting effects
Fuze Extracts makes both a distillate and live resin cartridge. While the distillate is still good, the live resin is top-notch and makes a spot on our best list. It also made a spot on our nationwide list of the best live resin carts.
Natural, sweet flavors, the best glass CCELL TH2 hardware, and strong effects that last long, make these some of the best THC vape carts available. See our in-depth Fuze Live Resin review for more info.
HSH Live Resin: Top quality, best resin, unbeatable hardware
We followed a blind recommend from The Dispensary in Las Vegas, and we were never happier to do so. HSH (High Sierra Holistics) puts top-notch live resin into a top-quality CCELL TH2, resulting in the best half gram of puffing we’ve had in recent memory. The tasty oil satisfied, the cart lasted a long time, the cartridge hit strong without wasting oil, and we even left it sit around for a month to see if the oil discolored, which it did not. Another great live resin story!
IndoCart: Really Strong and Incredible Taste
IndoCart puts out some excellent products. They use real cannabis terpenes and we are yet to try an IndoCart that is not strong. On top of that the taste is excellent. Sky Daddy OG might be one of the best tasting carts we tried at DabConnection. The oil on IndoCarts is also thick and lasts long. They say High Potency Distillate on the packaging, and that’s definitely whaat it is.
When you see an IndoCart you know are going to be in for a high-quality experience all around.
IONIC cartridges: Super strong with excellent taste
We might be cramming up the #2 spot with another tie, but IONIC is super strong. After this one we might just rearrange this list a bit. Basically, IONIC is super Stoney, tastes as good as distillate can, and lasts quite a while.
The only thing we want changed is make it a glass cart. Other than that, it’s perfect and you can check out our IONIC cart review here.
Kabunky: The best house brand you probably haven’t heard of
Kabunky is available in a decent amount of Nevada dispensaries, but it’s primarily known as the house brand for Nevada Made Marijuana. We frequent their Laughlin location and they have specials on Thursdays with lower prices. For much of 2018 Kabunky had reverted back to old style cartridges and it really hurt the brand’s performance. It went from being one of our favorites to something we would not buy. The oil was still good, but the hardware was just awful.
Since then they have changed their hardware back to the new style and it’s much better. The Kabunky Kwik stick disposables are excellent as well. One particular cartridge, Strawberry Lemonade by Kabunky, was the best cartridge I have ever had. Unfortunately, that cart has not been reproduced at the same THC level. Only a high CBD version has been on the shelf. If Kabunky could reproduce that 86% THC Strawberry Lemonade, they might be the best THC cartridge in Nevada or at least on par with Roots’ Cheese cartridge for the top spot. Check out our Kabunky cartridge review for more info.
Moxie Pods: Strong quality oil lives up to the brand name
MPX Live Resin carts have long lasting effects, awesome taste
Melting Point Extracts is a multi-state company existing in Arizona, Maryland, and Nevada. So far we have only tried the NV version and it is impressive. Nice sweet taste, long-lasting effects and they use glass CCELLs. Not much more we can ask for. The most noticeable thing about MPX Live Resin carts is how long the effects last, well over an hour in most cases.
Old Pal is great for the price but some batches vary, see update below
Update 12/15/2020: Due to many comments on YouTube and our site about varying Old Pal experiences we feel the need to post this message. Our experiences with Old Pal have been great but people have commented that at times the products have been awful. The amount of comments on this matter makes us think that there might be grounds to it, and thus we post this warning that experiences with Old Pal seem to vary greatly by batch in both California and Nevada.
Old Pal is not the absolute strongest brand of carts nor is it the absolute best tasting, but it deserves a spot on this list. Overall, it’s well above average in all categories and is well-balanced.
One of our reviewers said the psychedelic effects from Old Pal were the best and better than other cartridges that may even pack more initial strength. Plus they go for only $25 for 500mg at most dispensaries in Nevada. They go for even less in California and they made our best list there, which is linked at the bottom of this post.
For more info on Old Pal carts, see the full review.
Roots Extracts: Strongest effect, great taste, overall the best THC vape cartridges in Nevada
Roots overall have been the consistently best brand in Nevada since I first tried them. Out of all the strains they have, Cheese has been my favorite. Roots are owned by Taproot Holdings and operate out of North Las Vegas. I first tried their carts after picking them up at The Dispensary in Reno and regularly pick them up at Essence Tropicana West when they are not sold out. They use authentic CCELL cartridges for hardware. White ceramic tops to be exact.
They really are doing something right over there at Roots. Roots is not a cultivator and focus just on making oil, which might be the reason they are so good, the operation is focused on just producing great oil. Roots do not even make distillate syringes (but am hoping to see these in the future).
New whole plant hash oil product for Roots recently released
Check out our review on Roots broad spectrum disposables. They use ethanol extraction but it is a whole plant oil and gives an effect more like smoking a joint. The THC levels are above 80% and it delivers a great and unique effect. These new disposables are another reason Roots is currently the best bet for vaping THC in the Silver State.
See our full Roots cartridges review for more info. We’re working on the review of their new full-plant hash oil disposables and should have that up soon.
Roots Sauce carts: Our first perfect 10!
Long-time readers of DabConnection know that we don’t hand out perfect ratings very easily around here. Since we are committed to unpaid, uncompromised reviews, our focus is the point of view of the end consumer.
Well, we finally found one! Roots 100% Pure Sauce + THC-A Sugar cartridge gets the honor of being our first perfect 10 ratings. Perfect taste, perfect effects, perfect hardware, nothing to improve. It is Nirvana in a vape cartridge. See the full Roots Sauce review here.
Standard Oil Co. – Excellent All-Around
After following a deal tip-off from DankOil, we headed for Oasis Dispensary in Las Vegas, Nevada, to score a Lemon Slushie cartridge courtesy of Standard Oil Co. We found a cartridge with all-glass hardware and a ceramic core for top efficiency, with strong oil inside. We loved the taste of real cannabis terpenes, so much so that Stand Oil concentrate beats out some live resin we’ve tried. All in all, it was a knock-out cart. Our only complaint is that these aren’t available in more places. Check out our full Standard Oil Co. review here.
Vapen Cart: Awesome Strength and Taste
This is the cart that taught us a valuable lesson: Carts that use natural cannabis terpenes hit smoother than carts that use non-cannabis terpenes. Vapen’s Daytime Sativa is an excellent quality cart and strong, with smooth hits and consistent oil throughout. The effects are strong and long-lasting. Our only beef is that these carts have a polycarbonate body instead of more efficient glass. Leaving that aside, Vapen makes the list based on its strong and consistent oil. View our whole Vapen review here.
These three deserve a mention because they are still great products and worth trying out whether you are visiting Las Vegas or are a local.
The remedy is almost there, but that hardware…
Remedy in our opinion currently makes the best flower in the world. Their cartridge is also good due to the high-quality live resin they put in it. The keyword is good and not great. The oil is great but the cartridge is good, and the reason this cartridge is not great is simply hardware.
Remedy is using a CCELL clone that just hits poorly compared to an authentic CCELL. When they change their hardware they will be one of the top vape cartridges. I actually dumped their oil into a real CCELL just to see how much better it would be and was amazed.
8 Fold is the best CO2 oil cartridge in Nevada
All of us at DabConnection prefer distillate and BHO in cartridges as opposed to CO2, but not everyone else does. 8 Fold and W Vapes are the only CO2 cartridges we really liked, and 8 Fold is overall the best CO2 cart we have tried in Nevada (and frankly in any state).
I picked these up at Deep Roots in Mesquite. The strength is stellar and taste is unmatched for CO2 oil. A real unique and refreshing taste for CO2. For those that prefer CO2 over distillate or BHO, 8 Fold is the way to go in Nevada. See our 8 Fold review for more information.
AMA and Vader distillate syringes
AMA is short for Alternative Medicine Association. They focus on making extracts and they also produce Vader Extracts for Nevada. You’ll see a bigger variety of Vader products in California than in Nevada, but wherever you are and whatever it is, I’ll bet $5 on it that it’s awesome. The AMA and Vader branded distillate syringes paired with CCELL hardware will also get you some of the best possible THC cartridges in Nevada. It’s not an official vape cart until you make it, but it deserves a mention on this list.
Syringe tip not included, but it should be. That’s our only recommendation to AMA. Including a syringe would be great for these syringes.
Tropical Punch and Green Apple are two of our favorite AMA distillates, and Coconutz is our favorite Vader distillate. Most of their products test in the mid-’80s for THC percentage. They also make the Game Time cartridge but it does not make this top list since the hardware has restricted airflow. We wish more brands would give us syringe options if they are going to go a little cheaper on their vape cartridge hardware.
Vape cartridges that disappointed us so far…
Not trying to be negative, but I don’t want our readers to be disappointed with non-performing brands. So here we are also listing the most non-effective THC vape cartridges in Nevada. There are a lot of other brands out there we have tried and the above list is the ones we recommend most. Many others are not that bad or are just lower strength and some people prefer that. However, some were bad enough, and given the awful hardware they use, most of our users looking for good strength would want to avoid them until they change.
Here are the brands of cartridges we would avoid purchasing in Nevada at this point in 2019: Kynd Pure, Cannabiotix, and Brass Knuckles. Cannabiotix is surprising because the flower is excellent they produce. The carts just don’t live up to the quality of their flower.
Cannabiotix has poor quality hardware
Kynd and Cannabiotix used to use very similar hardware. The only difference we found in our Cannabiotix review was variable airflow. The hardware hits off a wire and is worse than even a knock-off CCELL.
The Cannabiotix oil tastes ok, but it just does not have much strength. We could not tell if it was the hardware or the oil but the effects just are not there. Very unexpected to almost anyone who tries them, as Cannabiotix is considered one of the best flowers in Nevada and we would put them just a hair behind Remedy on flowers.
Brass Knuckles puts up billboards, still uses old hardware
Brass Knuckles use old hardware and just are not that strong. Nevada has a strength limitation on 1 gram cartridges, so automatically they will not get as strong as some other brands since they only have 1 gram offerings. The cartridges are also expensive, ranging from $85 to $120. Don’t get fooled by billboards and celebrity endorsements, this brand is a skip when you have so much better available in the Silver State.
Keep the best THC vape cartridges coming to Nevada
New brands and new THC vape cartridges are coming out all the time. Nevada has some of the best cannabis products in the world right now. Will Roots hold the top spot? Only time will tell, but at this point, they are a few steps ahead of the pack. We’d love to see Cannabiotix come out with better hardware and Kabunky recreate that one-of-a-kind Strawberry Lemonade. As new carts come out we will update this list and mention any particular special strains.
One last recommendation related to this list is the battery. Airo Pro uses its own, but for the other cartridges, our recommended battery is the Vessel. It’s a bit pricey but at this point in 2022 it delivers the best airflow. Our next best and more affordable picks would be the CCELL Silo and Palm. See our best batteries for THC cartridges picks for more info.
As mentioned with Dank Vapes vs Mario Carts, each of these companies have changed the look of their cartridge. Because of this, a lot of questions and skepticism has risen for vaping these cartridges. Here, we compare Dank Vapes vs Exotic Carts and explain why we think Dank Vapes is the overall winner and better choice among the two THC cartridges. Check out our best cartridge lists for California and Nevada if you are in one of those states. All the choices are better than Danks and Exotics.
Dank Vapes vs Exotic Carts: Which company is more legit?
With the new packaging on Dank Vapes becoming more available online, skepticism has risen high for legitimacy. Because of this, fake Dank Vapes are becoming very unpredictable in authenticity. This being an extreme problem to the cartridge community, all you can do is follow up and identify if your’s is legit or not.
As for Exotic Carts, it seems as if someone is trying to re-brand and take over the company. It may not be official, but there has been new packaging and reconstruction to the cartridge. Giving a different look to the cartridge and the packaging. Just like with Mario Carts, they have engraved the logo directly on the cartridge itself. There is even packaging that looks familiar to Dank Vapes, coming in half grams and full grams.
Both tested positive in pesticides
There are various lab results out for both brands, some testing positive and others testing negative. But for the most part, Dank Vapes and Exotic Carts both have negative results out, containing a few pesticides. The most recent results of the two came out around December of 2018. Because this is before both companies updated their packaging, hopefully they follow with updating their lab tests soon.
Dank Vapes vs Exotic Carts lab results:
Dank Vapes vs Exotic Carts: Which brand offers better flavors?
Although Dank Vapes offer a variety of flavors, the Exotic Cart we tried tasted very bland and unsatisfying. We’ve once reviewed Exotic Carts Gelato and found a simple and bland taste to it. It actually tasted similar to Mario Carts LA Confidential, due to the fact that it lacked terpenes. Even though it did give a high slightly faster than Dank Vapes, nothing will compare its taste with legit Dank’s.
As for Dank Vapes, the authentic cartridges will always taste amazing. The flavor of the distillate should always taste as listed on the packaging. We have unfortunately have found unofficial Dank Vapes. Tasting either extremely metallic, too bland or very strong in terpenes.
How reliable is the oil itself?
Although the oil is denser on the Exotic Carts, it does lack terpenes as mentioned earlier. This may be the reason the oil is dense, whereas Dank Vapes oil is lightly thinner. The Exotic Carts oil is decent and does move slowly. if you’re looking for just a nice high, yet harsh flavors, Exotics would be better.
As for Dank Vapes, they are known for their taste rather than quality of oil. But regardless, the oil delivers a satisfying and strong high. Unlike Exotic Carts, where they may be tasteless, but the high is sooner.
Efficiency between the two are good, but Dank’s lasted longer
Dank vapes use authentic CCELL cartridges, specifically designed for thicker oil. This allows for more efficient and tasteful hits with the right batter mod. The unfortunate part is that the black market is still popular on Dank Vapes and fake CCELL cartridges. With fake CCELL’s, they carry a weak atomizers. This gives light and unpleasant hits, sometimes this causes the oil to leak.
In regards with Exotic’s, they use a very similar cartridge hardware, kind of like what Mario Carts use. The atomizer they have is a quartz coil that comes in a single plastic cotton. I expected a stronger atomizer just because it did give thick smoke when hitting it. The wire is wrapped around this coil and goes through, to the bottom of it.
Dank Vapes vs Exotic Carts in value
You can find either cartridge for around the same price, $30-$40. Sometimes it may be a little more or less, depending where you’re from. Apart from this, both of these companies aren’t as credible or reputable as they can be.
Dank Vapes do have some background, for they appear to be made by Dankwoods. Another company that does not seem to have any valid registration we can find. The reason we go with them is just because Dank’s are a lot more active on their Instagram account.
As with Exotic Carts, they have no official background what so ever. There are multiple Instagram accounts on Exotic Carts, but it’s difficult to tell which one is the official page. With that being said, we can’t tell yet how authentic and legit Exotic Carts really are.
Many fakes are being distributed for both cartridges
With many fake cartridges being sold in the counterfeit market, these two particular brands are popular among the cartridge industry. You can find both of these carts anywhere online. From Chinese manufacturers selling the packaging to pre-filled cartridges being sold through social media. All of this misfortune is leaving people unsure of these companies.
Even though Dank Vapes updated their packaging, the black market has already created duplicates of this packaging. Fake dank vapes are widely being sold in states that don’t sell recreational cannabis. At times it may even be difficult to identify fakes because of how identical they look to the real ones.
Regarding Exotic Carts, it is still unknown where to find information about their actual company. We can’t be sure how official these new packaging or cartridges are. What we do know is that there is a lot of fake Exotic Carts being distributed online as well.
Finishing off Dank Vapes vs Exotic Carts
Because of the lack of information and credibility on Exotic Carts, Dank’s in our experience is the preferable cartridge. Both may have uncertainty to them, but Dank Vapes are a bit more known and just a little more reputable.
Overall, neither companies are as trustworthy as I’d like them to be. Dank Vapes are better just because of preference, every flavor really does give that amazing of a taste. But with their lab tests showing negative and all these fakes, it’s hard to trust these cartridges. If both companies fix these set backs, they will become a lot more reputable and safer to vape. I know I would be picking up Dank Vapes more often. Dank Vapes is overall the winner between the two.

DabConnection is happy to bring you another new brand to our growing list of cartridge reviews. This time it’s Jetty Extracts Gold under the spotlight and the Sativadominant Maui Wowie. Coming from the licensed Mankind dispensary in San Diego, quality assurance is what we’re after. Take a walk out onto the Jetty in the following Jetty Extracts cartridge review and see why it made our best vape cartridges in California list.
No Visible Proof Of Purity On Package For Each Unit
Weak Safety Seal
Recommendations: We love the new CCELL cartridge design over the old wick style. The oil vapes up faster than other similar brands. It would be best if Jetty makes obvious the lab doing the testing and includes the information on each cartridge. They have tested clean though when independently tested.
See our video review below and keep reading on for the more in depth review of Jetty cartridges.
Jetty Extracts improves & offers a superb cartridge
I remember Jetty Extracts cartridges from a few years back. These days, they no longer use the wick draw system of old but the preferred c-cell design. It’s the slim style that doesn’t come to close to the outer glass. At the base are four evenly spaced absorption holes. Their positioning at the very bottom ensures very little oil residue left over.
One thing I do not remember from the old style cartridges is such fantastic flavor and potency. It’s possible that my memory is just fading, but the Jetty Extracts Gold cartridges seem much better in this regard. Despite a few issues with packaging and labeling, these are fine cartridges indeed.
The Jetty Extracts Gold Maui Wowie is full of flavor & true to strain
With all the different cross-breeds of Maui Wowie, we can only say that the flavor hits home. Tropical reminiscents of Hawaii burst over your palate with hints of citrus, earth, and pineapple. Jetty Extracts Gold Maui Wowie is strong and it doesn’t take much of a vape to enjoy the full flavor.
Jetty Extracts Gold Maui Wowie packs a potent punch at 88.36% THC
The potency of the Jetty Extracts Maui Wowie is up there and effects set in fast. Energy and a positive vibe result after a single draw from this cartridge. Like other premium carts, the packaging provides percentages as well as levels by mg. The .5-gram Maui Wowie cart has 441.8 mg of THC and no CBD.
Jetty carts are durable and include a comfortable wooden mouthpiece
Jetty Extracts Gold cartridges start with the usual 510 threads at the bottom. Above that is their seagull logo with a green border that covers the ignition system. Next is a strong glass tube with the ceramic center and metal drawtube inside. Above the glass tube is a metal ring and then a smooth wooden mouthpiece. The mouthpiece does not unscrew making the cart non-refillable.
Carts come with a tamper-proof seal
Jetty Extract Gold cartridges use a sticker as a tamper-proof seal which isn’t that sticky. It would be easy to peel it off and get to the cart inside, then reapply it later. The package is a cylinder that you twist and lift to open. A small gunny sack with drawstrings on the inside holds the actual cartridge.
Jetty Extracts Gold Carts provide a batch #, but no lab to verify with
Nowhere on the packaging or on the company website does it show the lab that does the testing. Since there is a batch number, you would assume that means you can check the results of testing. I have an email out and will update the post with their answer. Besides a batch #, Jetty Extracts shows the manufacturing, packaging, and best by dates.
$35.00 for a .5-gram cartridge at a licensed CA dispensary isn’t bad
It sure would be nice to see that price drop lower, especially considering the $35.00 is before taxes. That’s right. In a licensed CA dispensary you have to pay taxes, and you won’t get out of any of them unless you have an MMID card. Still. a lot of .5-gram carts are even more in licensed California dispensaries.
Take the Honey Vape Green Crack or the Sunday Goods Trainwreck over at MedMen in nearby Kearny Mesa. Both .5g cartridges, the Honey Vape costs $40.00 and Sunday Goods $45.00. When you save 5 to 10 bucks and are able to take advantage of discounts as well, it makes a big difference.
Number of puffs is just a little light
It’s interesting because at the time of testing I had two other .5-gram carts to compare with the Jetty Extracts Gold. There wasn’t a huge disparity in how fast the oil receded, but just enough to notice. I love the Maui Wowie and I really wish this cartridge would last a little longer.
Large vapes are easy but they may hurt
For those who like lung bursting vapes, this is a go-to cartridge. Not only is it potent, but it expands quickly inside the lungs. Those terpenes will hit you and if you’re not careful, you’ll find yourself coughing up a huge storm. You can check that video if you haven’t already and see the vape it gives!
End of the rocks on the Jetty Extracts Gold cartridge
Flaws in the Jetty Extract Gold cartridge have nothing to do with design, flavor, or potency. They have more to do with the packaging and how information is presented. It’ll be interesting to hear what Jetty Extracts has to say about lab analysis, and we will update as soon as they answer back. Assuming the lab tests are clear, they make an incredible vaping experience.

Fake Cereal Carts have become a very popular phenomenon, causing a lot of confusion and disruption to consumers. Because there is no information about this company, many people are wondering if these carts are safe to smoke or even legit.
Although we aren’t sure its legitimacy, we have recently encountered fake Cereal Carts that have been improperly made. We picked up two different flavors, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Honey Nut Cheerios, and found right away they were fake. Furthermore, here we’ll explain how to differentiate between unordinary and odd Cereal Carts to (supposedly) real ones.
Counterfeit carts are selling fast through the black market
There’s hundreds of accounts, selling fake Cereal carts through dozens of different platforms, claiming to be real. It’s an industry wide problem. Cereal is not the only brand to be subjected to fake cartridges. Either people selling pre-filled cartridges full of pesticides, or manufacturers selling packaging for people to re-fill. Regardless, all these fake counterfeit cartridges are disrupting the cannabis industry and the consumers experience. This makes it very difficult to trust and smoke Cereal Carts in the first place.
Below is a video with the basics on fake Cereal Carts. Keep reading for more detailed information.
Identifying Fake Cereal Carts
It may be very hard to tell apart, for there really is no information about the company what so ever. Although they do have an Instagram account, it is private, not allowing us to view any of their posts. Some of these identifiers are very little and subtle, sometimes these carts will look identical to the original packaging.
Improper packaging / No holograph on package
First, the easiest way to tell if they’re fake is if there’s no sort of hologram on the packaging. The same goes with fake Dank Vapes, there should always be some sort of holograph on every strain, logo and overall packaging. If it looks like some simple, plain package that doesn’t seem to shine, than it may be a fake Cereal Carts.
The taste is odd and atrocious
Another thing to watch for with these carts is the taste of each strain. The real ones should taste exactly like whatever the strain of the package claims to be. These two flavors we have give very light hits and flavor, tasting like artificial cereal and vape juice. There have even been rumors of people claiming their cart to taste like too much chemicals or even metal.
The oil is dark and bad quality
Sometimes you won’t be able to tell at all, but other times these counterfeits use terrible oil quality and terpenes. Cereal Carts and Dank Vapes both have moderate looking oil. Not too dark, nor too light, but a strong yellow color. Also, the oil isn’t even that dense with the real ones, they are somewhat light and thin. But if it moves very fast like watered down oil, it might be fake and hazardous to smoke.
Fake Cereal Carts may have inauthentic CCELL cartridges
This is another great way to check if your Cereal cart, or any cartridge that uses CCELL is legit. Remember, even the littlest things can differentiate the differences between each other.
CCELL carts have three different stamps on them
Each cartridge has three unique stamps engraved on the bottom of it. A CCELL logo, a K stamp and a CA serial number as well. None of these three should be missing nor misplaced. Furthermore, this engraved stamp should not look oddly huge or have a light color. If you see that your stamp has a different font size or style than the original carts, it might not be authentic. Shown below will tell you the difference between real and fake CCELL’s.
Cereal Carts Flavors:
Apple Jacks
Blueberry Pancake Crunch
Cupcake Pebbles
Count Chocula
Cookie Crisp
Cocoa Puffs
Cap’n Crunch
Franken Berry
Fruity Pebbles
Froot Loops
Luck Charms
Honey Nut Cheerios
Cinnamon Toast Crunch
Overall, I recommend to purchase safer cartridges than Cereal Carts
Regardless of how good these may taste to you, they are still unknown and sketchy to trust at this moment. Having no background, we are unsure what exactly is in this distillate. Apart from this, there are no lab results of any sort for this brand out yet.
As usual, we recommend for you to purchase your products safely through licensed dispensaries or a trusted source. There are too many fakes containing dozens of pesticides in each distillate. If you’ve ever encountered these cartridges, post it on the forum and tell us your experience.
With Dank Vapes officially claiming their new packaging, they have become a popular phenomenon and contradiction. Because of how much we enjoyed them, we picked up Sunset Sherbet, a hybrid that is rich in taste. We have previously reviewed Dank Vapes and always love the taste in terpenesin them, however we aren’t sure how safe or legit the oil is.
Pros:
Brand new packaging
Amazing taste
Pleasurable and lasting high
High quality hardware
Cons:
Their last lab tests show pesticides (before new packaging)
Fakes have already been replicated
Recommendations: Make cartridges that pass lab tests.
See our video review below and keep reading on for the more in depth review on the new Dank Vapes cartridges.
With many counterfeits, Dank Vapes updated the look of their packaging
Because of how popular Dank Vapes are becoming, many vendors are selling fake Dank Vapes, containing harmful pesticides and artificial flavors. Fake cartridges are everywhere these days. Because of this, they came out with a newer and fresher look to their packaging. These new packaging contain a little extra distillate, boosting it up from a gram to 1.1 grams.
Something about these cartridges is each flavor has a unique color to its name. Most packages say they’re above 90% THC, have a brief description on the strain and claim to contain no propylene glycol. High THC claims should be taken with a grain of salt without a lab report to back it up. Dank Vapes has tested lower than they claim before.
Hopefully new lab test results will come with their new packaging
As shown below, these are their most recent lab results that they have out. Because these tests are from December of 2018, test results may be different with their updated packaging. Unfortunately Dank’s have come out with negative test results in the past various times, making it a bit suspicious to consume. Aside of that, hopefully they come out stronger and cleaner than ever with these updated packages.
Sunset Sherbet gives a great feeling of euphoria with a sweet, light taste to it
From the taste to the high, this strain settles in very smoothly yet powerful. Dank Vapes Sunset Sherbet is a rich hybrid that really does provide a carefree high and a mellow mindset. Additionally, this strain provides a great combination of relaxation, yet a slight boost of energy. The hits as always are smooth and tasteful, giving sweet, fruity and light hits. I personally liked the light taste a lot, unlike when cartridges taste strong and much like artificial flavors and chemicals.
With the older Dank Vapes review, one of the flavored strains that we tried was Fruity Pebbles. Although this strain tasted identical to the cereal itself, I thought it tasted too similar and felt suspicious smoking it. This unfortunately has become a problem for this brand and I’m not the first to experience this dilemma. I haven’t encountered any skeptical tasting Dank’s with this new packaging yet and hope not too anytime in the future.
Dank Vapes contains thin oil, yet heavy hits
Hopefully the oil in the distillate has been updated as well as their packaging. As shown in their lab test results, their last tests do sadly show a low of 65% THC. With that being said, the oil is fairly thin and does have a strong gold color to it.
Even though the oil may not seem as thick as I’d like it to be, don’t let that fool you. You may not feel it right away or at the moment, but the high settles in nice and gentle. Because of this, it’s easy to get baked without even realizing in just a few hits (which could be a great thing for you). In general, it did take me around 5 hits to even feel anything at all. But once I did, it was all I needed to stay productive and enjoy my high.
Hits tasted gentle and light, with a citrusy and berry like flavor
Something that Dank Vape’s have always been known for is their flavor. Regardless of what strain you get, I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed with the taste of it. Usually, most flavors give a strong taste but with this strain, it was kind of light and satisfying when hitting it. Furthermore, this brand really is great when it comes to mixing their terpenes in each flavored distillate.
The CCELL cartridge hardware remained the same
With the cartridge itself, there has been no change to it. The only thing is that they mentioned in their packaging the cartridges they use are official CCELL carts. As usual, these carts hit smoothly, easy and gave thick smoke.
Personally went through it sooner than expected
Because of how smooth and savory Dank Vapes are, I tend to go through these cartridge within a few days. This situation may not apply to you, for the distillate may last a while depending on how often you smoke. But for all you dab fanatics, this cartridge does smoke through considerably fast.
The black market has already caught on, selling replicas
Not even within a month and they have already found a way to replicate these new packages. Because of how quick this happened, there is no telling how to identify fakes yet. Dank Vapes were fast to react when this first happened to them with their old packaging. I hope they are quick to resolve this problem.
Overall, I still believe Dank Vapes to give a great high and savory taste to it
Despite of all the negative traits, these cartridges will always surprise me with its high, especially its taste. Only thing is, if they come out with new positive lab tests to back them up, they’ll become more trustworthy. Once they solve these issues that are hurting their brand, they will increase so much of their reputation. I can tell you that I will definitely be purchasing their new flavors more often when they do.
I should also mention that on their official Instagram account, they do call out accounts selling fake cartridges! Seeing them putting efforts to become more reputable is great and helps re-build their credibility.
I personally believe to see all of these problems and dilemmas to go away within the next couple years, hopefully. Until then, we can’t put a whole lot of value just because we aren’t too sure what exactly we’re consuming. When purchasing Dank Vapes, we always recommend to purchase your cartridges through licensed dispensaries or a reliable source.
