The Magic 710 battery by Transpring is one of the smallest batteries for vape cartridges we have seen. Yet it still packs a punch comparable to the CCELL batteries on THC cartridges. You may also see it labeled as the VAPMOD Magic 710. Overall, this is an excellent choice and great value.
Pros:
Extremely small form factor
Active hit battery
Hits great
Battery lasts well for it’s size
Cons:
Only one voltage
Won’t work with top airflow carts
Recommendations: Having voltage options would be nice, yet this battery is designed for simplicity so we can see why they leave it out.
The Magic 710 overall is a great choice for THC and CBD cartridge users
DabConnection gets batteries often. The Magic 710 is one of our favorite pull draw batteries. Strong hits, great form factor, and good build quality make this one of our top choices and it will be added to our best batteries for cartridges list.
Design is like a combination of the Palm and Silo, with an added light feature
Take the cartridge view of the Palm and make it shaped like the Silo, then shrink it down about 1/3 and you got the Magic 710 battery. The bonus feature is the red light that is activated when you hit it.
Nice little option to make sure your cart and battery are working. The Magic 710 uses a magnetic adapter that attaches to your cartridge. With magnetic adapters sometimes you need to twist it around a bit to make sure it activated correctly.

Above is the magnetic adapter for the Magic 710. The structure is different than we have seen on magnetic tips. Make sure to not lose this one for optimal performance.
Build Quality is good, does not feel cheap at all
The build on the Magic 710 is good. It’s also comparable to the Palm and Silo. Not quite as fine a finish as you will find on Vessel batteries, but this battery is geared for a much lower price point. There’s no jankyness or wiggling parts to this battery, it’s a solid build.
Impressive battery life for the size
The Magic 710 battery has a capacity of 380maH. Not huge compared to a box mod, but for the size it is, quite impressive! The Vessel comes in at 240maH while the Palm and Silo come in at 500maH.
Considering how small the Magic 710 is the battery life is great. I went through most a half gram cartridge and it is still going. Charging is easy with standard micro USB the little light on the shaft will turn red when charging the light turns off when fully charged.
Strength was easy to manipulate and lot better than some larger batteries
The Magic 710 was significantly stronger than the SteamCloud Mini 2 and about on par strength wise with the Palm and Silo. Not a lot of batteries really give you that just right hits with carts, and this one does. It was easy to get hard hits out of it. Hit it consecutively to get a harder hit.
Great value at around $17 shipped
The lowest price we could find was as low as $16.95 shipped on eBay. The lowest non-eBay price we could find was $19.99 at eCig City. You can get another 10% off for signing up for their email list. Can’t go wrong with the Magic 710 at these prices.
The Magic 710 proved to be reliable. It delivered great hits and the battery lasts long. Coming in at $17 there may not be a better option for a cartridge battery at this price. This battery gets two thumbs up and I will be using it frequently.
Juul was originally made for vaping nicotine e Liquid, not for using THC and CBD pods. However, almost all technology used in THC and CBD cartridges is borrowed from eCigs and e Liquid, so why not use your Juul to blaze? One reason not to is there are better vape systems, but many still like to hit the Juul for THC, so we will go through how to refill it yourself and the companies that are making prefilled THC Juul pods.
This guide covers how to make a THC Juul Pod. It’s a simple process to put weed in Juul pod once you break it down and anybody can do it. We will go through step by step how to fill up a Juul pod with THC or CBD oil. This method can be used to refill an existing nicotine Juul pod you have our filling up something like the Hempod that is an empty, Juul compatible pod.
Only a few basic items are needed to create a THC Juul Pod:
Thin flat head screwdriver or knife
THC oil or CBD e Liquid in a syringe (you can make it too, explained below)
Used Juul pod or an empty replacement pod
If you are doing CBD make sure to use CBD e Liquid not tincture! CBD tinctures you take orally are not meant to be vaped and CBD e Liquids are not meant to be taken orally. See these examples of CBD e Liquid and this example of CBD tincture.
You can also replace the cotton in the mouthpiece, but this step is not required and something we normally would not do. See BeyondThePod’s above mentioned post for that step if you wish to complete the step. It’s not a necessary step to replace the oil, but some people might like the new cotton on in the mouthpiece.
Step 1: Get a liquid concentrate or make some
Go to the next step if you already have a liquid concentrate like CO2 oil or distillate ready to go. If you need to make THC e liquid, see our guide on how to make your own oil pen. The same process of making THC e liquid can be used to make liquid for your THC Juul pod.
Step 2: Take off the plastic top of your Juul pod
If you have purchased empty pods you can skip this step. Most pods that come empty do not have the mouthpiece attached. Using a screwdriver as shown above, unlock the mouthpiece. You can do it on both sides, but if you get one side off it should still come off. Once unlocked, grab the base of the Juul pod with one hand and the mouthpiece with the other and wiggle it off all the way and it should look like the below picture.
Step 3: Open your Juul pod with a flat screwdriver or knife
On the side of your Juul pod you will see where the cap made to hold juice in meets the edge. There are two ways to get it out. The easy way is dip it in with a small flathead screwdriver as shown below. Some empty pods may also come with this top off, in which case you can skip this step.
Then pull the screwdriver out with it tilted so it pulls out the mouth piece. The second method involves using a knife on the edge. It is more difficult but should work as well. You can even cut into the rubber slightly with the knife to pull it out using the tip and the cut as a way to grab the rubber. A knife that does not bend easily is recommended.
Your Juul pod should look like the above once the cap is removed. It’s ready to get filled with THC or CBD oil.
Step 4: Fill your Juul pod with THC or CBD oil
Get your THC or CBD oil syringe and unload it into the empty pod. Fill it to 80% capacity and that should leave enough room for the rubber top when you put it back on.
Step 5: Reinsert the rubber plug and pop on the mouthpiece
Pop on the rubber plug and make sure that it has a tight fit. If the airflow is not tight it may not hit well or activate the Juul battery to hit at all.
The pod on the left in the above photo shows what it should look like with the plug on. The pod on the right is a completed and ready to vape THC Juul pod.
Re using Juul pods for THC is not our top choice, or even a recommended one
At DabConnection we are not big fans of the Pax Era because it is wicked and you will find that most of the Juul pods out there for THC are also wicked. By wicked, we mean it hits off a cotton wick instead of a ceramic core. See our Hempod review or skip straight to the breakdown of the hardware. Then you will see why we don’t recommend these as the best way to vape THC or CBD. There are some ceramic core options out there as well and those may provide a better experience.
An empty replacement pod is still better than refilling
When you refill a Juul pod there is still left over nicotine in it. There are empty pod systems out there and while we have only tried a few, we have read comments on forums that the J Pods are decent. Ar $12.99 for a 4 pack it is cheaper than CCELL hardware.
THC Juul Pods prefills currently available
This list will continue to grow as more THC Juul pods are made. We will also be adding reviews to the various prefilled pods as we get our hands on them.
Bare Pods by Bare Extracts
Bare Extracts is fairly well known as a product around California, but we could not find any definitive information for this brand. Their products are listed as as brand on Weedmaps and it appears to be associated with the BARE industry clothing brand, but we could not find an official website on the pods. They are also referred to as “Bare x J Pods” signfiying the J Pod, Juul compatible hardware they use.
Our reviewer Javier has tried Bare pods and said they were weak. Looking across Weedmaps reviews, most of their pods are scoring in the 2 star range, meaning most users are not satisfied with Bare pods. Their is also Bare GoPods out there we reviewed, but we can’t tell for sure if they are real or fake.
With not a whole lot of positive reviews on Bare pods, you might be disappointed.
Kushie Gold THC Juul Pods by Kushie Brand
Kushie Brand is a legitimate California based cannabis brand that makes Kushie Gold pods. They were featured in the Vice article about THC Juul Pods. While they are compatible with Juul, Kushie also has it’s own battery released that works with its pods and other Juul pods, and it has the Kushie logo on it.
Here are the strains we could find for Kushie Brand THC Juul Pods:
Their pods have very few reviews, but for the ones it does have they are 5 stars. Hard to tell though when a product has so few if they are good or not, but worth trying.
Supreme Pods by Supreme G Extracts
Supreme G extracts is a newer company that does not have a website, but they do have an official Instagram page. We could not find all their strains, but these are the ones we are aware of:
Juul pods can come prefilled with CBD. They are not made with tinctures, but with CBD e Liquid put into a Juul pod. You will see a huge price difference between different pods. CBD is a heavily paid-to-promote industry and the more promoted the product, the more expensive it is. You may see similar lists where the most expensive ones are promoted. Here at DabConnection we want to give you the most info for you to make your own choice, so we include the price up top.
Airbender CBD Juul pods come in the small size of 200mg. They have quite a few different strains and the 200mg pods are only $19.99. Not a bad price per mg at all.
A pack of Calm Pods contains 2 disposable pods that deliver 50mg each. That’s about 300 puffs per pod. What’s great about this is you can choose from 8 different available flavors. There have been a lot of good reviews so far for Calm Pods.
These are weaker than other CBD pods, but they do come in a four pack. Someone looking for a low dose over more vape hits might like these. Some sites are selling the four packs for $39.99, but you can get Chill CBD pods for $24.99 at the link above.
Even smaller than Airbender pods, the Earthie pods come in at a small 100mg size. At $29.97 a piece that is about 150% more expensive than Airbender’s pods. Probably not a great deal and a reason you will see Earthe pods on paid promotion lists. They do have a wife variety of flavors though.
Hempod offers prefilled CBD pods in both broad spectrum (500mg) and regular (300mg). The broad spectrum pods are made with CO2 CBD oil and natural derived terpenes. The regular pods are made with CBD isolate.
At $17.99 for 375mg of CBD, JGO CBD Juul pods are a good deal. They only have four flavors, but they have good reviews, averaging 4.5 stars out of 5 with 34 reviews.
A pack of OG CBD Pods is a total of 500mg. There are 4 pods per pack carrying 125mg each. There are 6 flavors available, with the pineapple and blue razz flavor seeming to be a crowd favorite.
These pods are a much better deal than Airbender or Earth. Each pack of Zilla CBD pods comes with two 300mg pods for $19.99. They have six different flavors to choose from. Hempzilla so far is the best price per mg we could find.
The truth about Juul’s hard hits
Juul has been promoted by Pax Labs, formerly Ploom, as a way to get people off smoking and vaping instead. Many smokers have switched to Juul that otherwise did not like regular eCigs. The reason smokers like Juul over regular eCigs is they hit harder. We think the reason they hit harder is because you are also hitting the wick, similar to how dab pens were five years ago. We make no claims on safety, but avid THC vapers mostly avoid wicks in favor of ceramic core cartridges.
Better options than the Juul for THC and CBD
All of the following methods of vaping THC we have found to be better than Juul pods: new generation CCELL carts, ALD’s vFire, refilling Stiiizy pods, and the Bud Tank V16. CCELL and Bud Tank are standard cart style, while the vFire and Stiiizy are also pods. Stiiizy has significantly weakened their oil and we now recommend them only for refills, unless you are specifically looking for a weaker effect. Vaporesso products also have a lot of buzz, especially the Cascade.
Concluding our round up on THC Juul pods
We hope this guide helped educate you on THC and CBD Juul pods. Let us know if there is any information we can improve, brands we should add that we missed, or other methods you have seen that help in refilling Juul pods with THC or CBD oil. Comment below or post in our forum!
Eureka Vapor is a California based extract producer founded in 2011. They gained their popularity by producing highly potent, pure and natural oils. On top of that, they also have a wide selection of THC oil vape cartridges.
The brand currently carries almost 20 popular indica, sativa and hybrid strains like Girl Scout Cookies, Super Silver Haze, and White Window which is fit for any type of mood. Eureka Vapor announced in April 2017 that they have won “Best Concentrate of the Year” from CannaNews, a marijuana industry magazine. However, fake THC cartridges are everywhere, and Eureka Vapor is no exception to being counterfeited.
Update:
October 27, 2019 – If you have a Eureka Vapor product and you think it might be fake, make sure to check their store locator here. If it was not purchased from a legit dispensary, way more likely than not, it is fake.
September 21, 2020 – A recent lab test done on a Eureka cart bought off a street plug shows the cartridge contained less than 3% THC!
Eureka Vapor fakes are common
Due to the brand’s popularity, it is not surprising that a lot of counterfeit products of Eureka vape would be out in the market. For some, it could be really hard to tell the fakes from the real ones since they have nearly the same packaging, but having the current version is key. You would really need to examine the packaging thoroughly to spot the difference. Dupe vapes may come in cheaper, but the danger it brings to your health is not worth the risk.
If you check online shopping sites for Eureka Vapor, you would encounter that a lot of these are fakes. A lot of suppliers based in China would manufacture these Eureka vape empty cartridge with packaging. Scammers would fill them up with impure and hazardous oils.
So how can you tell the authentic Eureka Vapor from the counterfeits? One major red flag is luckily easy to spot…
If you’re buying ones with old packing, it’s very likely that they’re fake
Eureka Vapor’s has stopped distributing products in their clamshell packing over a year ago, but today you can still find some sellers who sell the old packaging and claim that they’re old stocks. If it’s in the clamshell packaging, it is a fake Eureka Vapor cart.
Below are images of what some online websites are selling. They sell empty fake cartridges, which can easily be filled with fake oil and sold in the market. It looks similar to the old teardrop-shaped clamshell packaging Eureka Vapor used to sell.
Authentic Eureka Vapor packaging comes in boxes
The current Eureka vapes are all sold in childproof boxes and bags. You can buy them from licensed shops in California and Colorado. If you want to be extra sure, check out the available packaging on their website.
The images below are the authentic ones, exclusively distributed by Eureka Vapor.
A lot of users out there still get confused if the vape they are purchasing is authentic or not. This article was made to make you aware that there are fake ones of the Eureka Vapor brand are out there. The simple tip mentioned here to spot the fake ones can be a big help especially for those who aren’t fully aware of what the typical characteristics of the counterfeit Eureka Vapor cartridges are.
Other fake vape cartridges
Fakes are not only for Eureka carts. Fake cartridges are plaguing the cannabis industry. See our pages on fakes for the following cartridges:
A general way to check for fakes on a lot of cartridges is to look and see if they are using an authentic CCELL. If the brand uses CCELL hardware on their originals, check to see if your cart is a fake CCELL cartridge. Eureka Vapor does not use CCELL carts. Fake hardware is a whole other topic, but another issue currently in the industry. On the flower side of things, there are even fake Pax 3s!

Airo Brands Inc. is the US company that brought us the popular AiroPro. They are led by their founder and CEO Richard Yost and started operations back in December 2016. Their products are currently available in California, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.
Airo Brands’ AiroPro line uses it’s own proprietary hardware
AiroPro, formerly Indigo Pro, Airo Vapor’s premier product uses hardware manufactured by CCELL but instead of a screw on 510 adapter like standard CCELL cartridges, it uses a magnetic base and a vibrating battery. Their hardware produces great hits and the oil is known for exceptional flavor. They made our best cartridges California and best cartridges Nevada lists.
Some of the best tasting THC cartridges, anywhere
AiroPro is known for creating awesome flavors across its line. The flavor on AiroPro cartridges is much more intense than any other brand, yet they still maintain a high THC percentage. Carts high in flavor used to be low in THC. AiroPro carts have great flavor yet still test in the mid 80s for THC percentage and up.
Some examples are Mountain Mist and Oz’s Orchard. Mountain Mist has a distinct minty menthol taste, while Oz’s Orchard has a berry like flavor to it.
Partnership with Namaste Technologies
Determined to reach the cannabis market worldwide, they partnered with Namaste Technologies Inc. in September last year to yer to get Airo brands to reach cannabis consumers in Canada. We could not find anyone selling the cartridges online yet in Canada, but they should be out soon.
Airo Brands’ trademarks
It is also good to know that there are also several trademarks under Airo Brands. Some of these are AiroClick, Airo X, and Joystix. For a complete list of trademarks, you can check them out here.
We hope to see Airo Brands Inc. in more places as legalization grows
Airo Brands Inc. is picking up popularity by way of AiroPro throughout the country. When we stopped into Essence Tropicana West, the budtender there said AiroPro was her favorite and here at DabConnection it’s one of ours as well.
[sc name=”AMP_Rating”]Supreme Pods, also known as Supreme G Extracts pods, are THC pods that are compatible with Juul batteries. Although they seem to be made from Supreme, they’re actually from the creators of Canawoods according to their Instagram account. After reviewing the Supreme G Pods, they surprisingly turned out to be amazing tasting and efficient, well made pods. These are not do be confused with Supreme cartridges, which are an untested, possibly fake cartridge.
Pros:
Amazing taste
Efficient hardware
Thick hits
Cons:
Doesn’t feel as potent
Supreme G Pods first post was misleading, but came back with positive lab results
As shown above, Supreme G Extracts shared their lab results, displaying quality and potent oil. To begin, their first post shown above was false, DatDude41510 contacted the company that tested Supreme G’s, they claimed they never tested them.
Goof thing that they came back strong, showing no sort of pesticides and over 90% Cannabinoid content!
Strawberry Cough gives an amazing high
When I first un-packaged this pod, I didn’t expect much just because I thought that they are originally made by Supreme themselves. Supreme may not have a reputable background but from our research, they seem to be created by another company. Even though they’re originally made by Canawoods, neither company has much information about them nor are found on Weed maps.
Despite their lack of origins, we did love almost everything about the Supreme G pods. From the way it rips to the taste, they turned out to be very efficient and smooth. Something about this Pod is that at first, you need to pull it 3 times to actually start getting good hits. This allows the distillate to absorb into the coil, allowing it to burn efficiently.
Moderate oil, but didn’t feel as potent
The Supreme G Pods holds 1000 mg/1 gram of distillate inside the pod. Although they say to be at 94% THC, they personally didn’t taste as potent. Even though the oil is thick in density, the high felt light. Still satisfying, but I needed multiple hits to even feel a good buzz. Good thing that this Supreme Pod is very efficient, allowing you to hit it a lot without wasting much oil.
Amazing and sweet, satisfying taste
The flavor we tried was Strawberry Cough and it has such a fascinating taste to it, it’s not harsh what so ever. Every hit, all through out the pod always hits smooth and clean, never rough nor would it drawback. This particular strain tasted a lot like a strawberry candy. Again, it was nice and light, the flavor didn’t taste too strong nor taste artificial. If only they provided with new lab results, I can ensure what’s in the distillate, making them more reputable.
Supreme G Pods is efficient and does last a while
This pod lasted me around 3-4 days, which is normal for me to finish a gram of distillate. Something I noticed is how long and durable it is, making it easy to conserve your oil. Because of how light it was for me, I did vape it consistently and more often than not. This resulted in me finishing the pod a lot quicker than if I would if it were more potent.
An inside look of the Supreme Pod
Disarming the Supreme pod was surprisingly easy to take apart. All I did was detach the bottom plastic with pliers, and the coil should be able to come off easily. Furthermore, this pod uses a wick that is wrapped around cotton, similar to the hemp pods. Only difference is, unlike the hemp pods, these pods are actually durable and of quality. They always give great tasting hits, I don’t think I ever got any harsh or burnt hits throughout the pod.
What if my Supreme Pod is leaking?
This is a major problem with most Juul compatible pods. Some pods can’t withstand the density of oil and starts leaking either on the bottom or mouth piece. If this happens, the best thing you can do is change the pod and move the oil from one pod or cartridge to another.
Although there isn’t much you can do fixing it, you can do a few things to prevent this from happening. First off, do NOT keep the pod in the Juul for extensive periods of time. This will cause it to slightly drip out from the bottom of the pod. Also, these pods should be sealed with the piece of plastic already provided underneath the pod itself. If you break the seal or leave it in warm temperatures, this can cause it to leak. You can also prevent this by removing your Supreme Pod while charging your battery.
Supreme G Pods vs Bare Pods
Both amazing tasting pods, at the same time neither have official lab results out. But without a doubt, Supreme Pods do rip a lot better than the Bare Pods. Bare pods may be a bit more credible, but they use such a weak coil on their pod. This makes it hard to get any good hits, whereas Supreme Pods always give thick hits.
From an inside look, the Supreme G Pods has a more efficient atomizer compared to the Bare Pod. Because of this, I would prefer Supreme pods over Bare’s, the coil really does make a difference in smoke quality.
Above all, Supreme Pods are flavorful and satisfying to smoke
In conclusion, the Supreme pod really is enjoyable and mellow to vape. I highly recommend you try Supreme Pods flavors if you ever come across them! For you heavy smokers (depending which flavor) they might not feel as strong, but still is tasteful and efficient. As for light smokers, this is perfect if you don’t want to get baked in the first few hits.

The steps to getting your AiroPro battery to work with a regular 510 threaded vape cartridge are easy. Just get a magnetic adapter and it’s ready to go. The size of the adapter does make a difference though and a mid size adapter is best.
We had access to quite a few adapter types and found the mid-size adapter, called the “tall adapter” that’s made for the PCKT One to be the best. Its extra length gives it better airflow than smaller magnetic adapters, particularly on CCELL carts. The adapter comes with the small and large one for $9.99. Really any magnetic 510 adapter in that same size should give similar results. The point is don’t go with the shortest style, airflow is worse.
This method works on bottom airflow cartridges, top airflow carts will need a button push battery
You probably will not get top airflow cartridges to work on the AiroPro battery. It is inhalation activated and most top airflow cartridges, like those from Rove and Cannabiotix, require a button push battery.
Here we go through how to change cartridges. This method works for THC and CBD oil vape carts. Good option for a broken cartridge or when you get good oil with poor quality hardware.
The FlytLab Stik dab pen is a very simple, sleek and easy to use pen primarily made for concentrate. Giving strong and potent hits, this battery has a large capacity atomizer, allowing for a bigger and heavy pack. Although it does have a high price tag, its performance and efficiency is currently unmatched.
Pros:
Packs heavy hits
Burns smooth and evenly
Simple to use
Neat and discreet design
Cons:
Gets dirty easily and quickly
Mouth piece clogs up frequently
Price
Recommendations: A lower price would make it more attractive to more people.
Unpacking the FlytLab Stik
Unboxing the FlytLab Stik amazed me as to everything that comes with it. Furthermore, the FlytLab comes with the battery itself, two atomizers, and charging cord and dock. It also comes with a few nice stickers, a small portable dab tool and a hat pin! The fact that it comes with 2 atomizers is already nice, the other merchandise it includes is just a plus.
Another thing it comes with is a plastic cover to help enhance airflow. This battery already comes with one and is located underneath the mouth piece. At first, I had no idea what it was for but while cleaning it I accidentally pulled this piece off. I did try hitting it without this piece on, but each hit wasn’t nearly as satisfying as with it on.
A simple and convenient design
The FlytLab Stik is very straight forward, its simplicity makes it easy to use. For its price, I expected a more complex pen but it really isn’t that complicated. With 3 clicks it turns on and once on, you can change the temperature settings with just 2 clicks. You can choose from 4 different heating temperatures, from lowest to highest. Another convenient feature it has is it tells you how much battery it has left. You can tell by holding the power button for a little over 5 seconds when the battery is off.
The FlytLab Stik has multiple compartments that magnetizes together
Something I like a lot about this battery is how it connects and secures magnetically. This FlytLab contains multiple magnetic connections, from the charging dock, the heating chambers and the mouth piece. This sleek battery will fit smoothly and discreetly on your palm or pocket.
Another feature I love is how the mouth piece is designed, it really does give smooth comfort on the lips. Additionally, the mouth piece comes with a cover, helping prevent dirt and dust getting inside. The only down side with this mouth piece is how clogged it gets. It doesn’t clog up fast but when it does you won’t be able to hit it at all and it’ll just burn your wax. When this happens to me, I always end up taking out a bigger glob than I’d expect of straight oil, not resin.
Atomizers pack big and heavy hits, regardless of which atomizer is used
The FlytLab Stick comes with two different atomizers, a ceramic atomizer and a dual quartz coil. Both atomizer have a broad heating chamber capacity, larger than most wax pens, allowing for big and heavy packs. I should mention that this battery does get dirty quickly for both of these coils. As long as you clean it frequently, it won’t clog up or get messy as quick.
The dual quarts coil is my personal favorite for the fact that it gives very thick and heavy hits. I’ve always preferred quartz over ceramic coils just because of how it hits and how quick it gets me high. Depending the temperature you choose, this coil does rip and will get you high instantly. I should mention that you won’t feel anything at first while hitting, just because of how smooth it hits. But after a long hit, you do feel it heavily in your lungs and throat once exhaling.
With the ceramic atomizer, it gives smoother and cleaner hits. As always, ceramic coils always give more gentle smoke, vaporizing the dabs more and allowing for efficient and tasteful hits. This coil has to be the best ceramic atomizer I’ve tried yet on any dab pens. We’ve reviewed other dab pens like the Ceram-x and the Saber, and we thought both ceramic coils gave too light hits. This coil that the FlytLab comes with gives thicker vapor than any normal ceramic atomizer would.
The FlytLab Stik is fairly efficient, but not as discreet when vaping
Because of the wide atomizer it provides, you can pack a heavy dabs that may last you a while. A feature this battery has is the “Flyt” mode, this mode is always on and can’t be changed. All you have to do is press the button once to turn on. It will show a red light signifying that it’s heating up and only lasts 2 seconds. After, you don’t have to press anything and it will heat up for around 10 seconds than stops heating automatically. You can take a shorter hit by simple pressing the button once more while it’s heating. This helps when trying to be efficient and conserve dabs.
On the other hand, I always take huge and heavy hits, which does finish the dabs quicker regardless which atomizer you use. Of course, it varies depending the temperature you prefer but the FlytLab does last a decent amount of hits. When it is on the highest two temperature, it tends to burn quickly within 3-6 hits. After that, it will still have some dabs left but it melts fast underneath the coil and will turn to resin.
Apart from that, this pen does smell loud when smoking and will leave a strong scent behind. It will sometimes even smell with just taking off the mouth piece cover or the heating chamber. This battery may be discreet and portable, but without a doubt leaves an odor behind after frequent uses. Disregarding how much it smells, I still think it’s worth it because of how strong each hit is.
The battery had a decent life, average compared to others
Although the FlytLab needs a specific charger, it stands pleasantly when charging. This will vary depending how often you smoke, but personally I went through the FlytLab battery fairly quick. The battery lasted me around 2-3 days, which is decent but for it’s price I expected it to last a little longer. Apart from that, the good thing is that you can check the battery life and it only takes 1-2 hours to charge. The charging compartment is magnetic as well and does stand nice and straight while charging. Something neat is how this battery turns off automatically after a while of not using it, helping conserve it’s life.
For the price, is the FlytLab Stick actually worth it?
This vape does cost $100 which is relatively expensive compared to other dab pens. The biggest advantage to the FlytLab in my opinion is how much this pen packs and how strong it rips. But if it’s worth it depends on preference and how often you will use it.
If you want something quick and easy, you can find a $20 dab pen that will get the job done anywhere. For instance, the G Pen Nova is an inexpensive and simple pen, but you sacrifice quality. The thing is that it only lasted me a few months and didn’t give nearly as heavy hits.
Overall, the FlytLab Stik is a potent and sleek battery that packs a punch
In conclusion, the FlytLab Stik is a convenient battery that I believe to be one of the strongest batteries we’ve tried. Disregarding the price, I do believe this pen can be worth it if you’re a heavy dabber looking for a portable yet potent pen. If you prefer vaping cartridges over wax, than we recommend the Vessel battery for its smooth and tasteful hits, but I do highly recommend this battery for those who want to take heavy dabs anywhere on the go. Select Elite cartridges are some of the consistently best cartridges across more than one state. You can choose a Select Elite cartridge in confidence when you are not sure what to choose and you are ensured to get high quality oil, even if they all taste similar.
In this review we will input feedback from two of our reviewers: Geoff and Bert. Geoff used Select Elite’s California carts while Bert has used many of them in Nevada. Select Elite made our top THC cart list for Nevada and was on it for California. We removed it from the California best list because it has gotten weaker. We are going to re-review Nevada to see if it should still be on that list as well soon.
Recommendations: Though Select Elite cartridges offer a lower price than the same size Kurvana ASCND, they’re still expensive for .5-grams. The plastic mouthpiece isn’t a big detractor but the cartridge would be better in the CCELL cartridge that has a ceramic tip and glass housing. Not only because glass is nice, but in case the cartridge fails it is easier to empty and you can also re use the cartridge with a syringe.
UPDATE 9/11/2019: DISCLAIMER: In light of more recent news, it has become apparent that black market cartridges, counterfeit cartridges, and fake brands of cartridges have become more widespread than we had ever realized. We urge readers to apply their own discretion, and caution that at no point should readers assume that a review of a cartridge on our site is a guarantee of its safety. We advise readers to always verify their cartridges as coming from a legitimate source.
UPDATE 2/01/2021: Recently Select Elite distillate carts, which we review here, have not been as strong as before. We will update this review again in the future when we get a new one. On the other hand, Select Elite Live Resin carts are strong and now their best product. We recommend those over any of their other cart items.
See below a video review on a Select Elite cartridge, then continue reading for the in depth review.
Select Elite cartridge design bears a close resemblance to the Kurvana ASCND
As far as their design, there are only two main differences between the Select Elite and Kurvana ASCND cartridges. Where they place their logo and the type of heating system they use. The logos are inconsequential but the heating cores might make a difference to some customers. For a review that covers design on their disposable cartridge version, see our Select Weekender review.
To the naked eye, the heating elements don’t seem to be much different. Both look like standard CCELL systems, though the one on the Kurvana ASCND is thinner. Kurvana uses what they call a CTEC ceramic coil. Instead of using a ceramic core surrounded by cloth, it uses only a ceramic ring. Select Elite cartridges use an authentic CCELL cartridge, the same kind found in the Roots and Airo Pro cartridges.
Other than that, the cartridge designs are the same. Both use a plastic outer tube and mouthpiece that appear to be connected. Each has a thin metal ring under the reed style mouthpiece and metal housing at the base. Screw either cartridge onto a standard battery with 510 threads.
Bert prefers CCELLs while Geoff is a fan of rod and coil cartridges. Bert thinks a ceramic top CCELL would be better than the plastic top offered on Select Elite carts. Reason being, in the event of a cartridge failure it is easier to retrieve the oil. These plastic top CCELLs are very difficult to get apart because the top is pressed on rather than screwed on. The screw top CCELLs can also be reused by refilling it with a syringe.
Oils by Select Elite come through a proprietary extraction process
The purity and delicious flavor of Select Elite carts is a direct result of their proprietary extraction process. Select Oil claims that they are one of the first companies to do their own lab testing to the parts per billion. As you can see on their packaging, they also use SC Labs for outside testing. Select Elite was caught once with innacurate results, but in a good way: They stated 80% THC and it was in fact 86%, even better! Quality control seems to be a big deal for Select Oil, which is a great thing. See our pesticides and residual solvents test page for test results on a recent Select Elite cartridge. They have always passed clean for pesticides and residual solvents.
Select seems to focus more on strength than effect. The high THC percentage carts have been converging in taste over the past year. They all taste pretty close. Select Elite achieves these characteristics using Ethanol Hash Oil extraction, a technique known to retain cannabinoids and similar to that used in Roots cartridges.
Select Elite high-cannabinoid oils range from 80-92% THC
Speaking of cannabinoids, Select Elite oils come packed with potency. Depending on which strain cartridge you get, you’ll discover THC levels between 80 and 95 percent. The Select Elite Mendo Breath is a lighter Indica strain at just over 85%, and it still wrecks you. We have several other strains on display below, most of which carry even higher levels of THC. Many of Bert’s Nevada cartridges are in the low 90s, up to 92% THC.
Ethanol Hash Oil extraction keeps the true flavor
A high-potency concentrate loses its appeal if the flavor is off or tastes like chemicals. One of the reasons Select Elite uses an Ethanol Hash Oil extraction process is to keep that natural flavor. The Mendo Breath strain from California has that heavy relaxing effect you want from a good Indica. Tastes of vanilla and sweet caramel linger on the tongue in a balanced mix of the true strain.
From Nevada Bert tried a Critical K, Royal Haze, Lee Roy, two GDPs and another strain we can’t remember right now. They all had a similar taste. Among the NV carts at least, Select Elite cartridges are converging to a similar flavor across the board. Still the taste is good and it seems to be a small sacrifice in taste to deliver a stronger cart, and we are all for that. Out of the bunch, Lee Roy was the strongest effect even though it was not the highest THC percentage, coming in about 89%. An Indica but still gave good energy and a strong, long lasting effect.
It’s interesting to note that Kurvana ASCND uses a similar process. Their techniques in extraction may not be exactly the same, but Kurvana also does an in-house lab analysis. Both Kurvana ASCND and Select Elite offer premium, well-refined distillate. People may have their preferences in flavor but THC levels in both brands are very high.
Bert says for Nevada Airo Pro and Roots both taste better than Select. Particularly Airo Pro’s Mountain Mist and Sumatran Sun have exceptional flavor. Roots carts taste great too, particularly the Cheese strain. Roots do taste similar across the brand like Select, but all a little bit better tasting than Select’s carts.
Select Elite carts use an efficient CCELL vaporizer
Just like Honey Vape, Sunday Goods, and so many other carts on the market, Select Elite uses a CCELL cartridge. Most of today’s vape cartridge aficionados prefer the CCELL design over the rod & coil. It’s the standard among vape carts right now. Geoff does not mind a rod & coil with a quality extract like that in a Heavy Hitters cartridge. Bert prefers CCELL carts for all prefilled cartridges and likes CCELL or the Bud Tank V16 for filling up with fresh distillate.
CCELL systems have a ceramic core surrounded by a cotton cloth wick. The oil absorbs into the cloth before entering the core which heats upon ignition. Using gravity and a circular ceramic core ensures the oil vapes evenly, but there is a drawback. The cloth can give off a burnt taste if it dries up.
By comparison, Kurvana ASCND cartridges use what they call a CTEC core. CTEC gets rid of the cloth wick altogether. Instead, the metal housing at the base of the drawtube contains a ceramic ring. The core is actually hollow and allows delivery of the oil to the entire ceramic ring.
3-second draws on a Select Elite .5-gram cartridge gives 125 servings
On the top back of the package, Select Elite provides a suggested serving size. They recommend a three-second draw as a single portion. A Select Elite cartridge at this rate has 125 servings, though the amount will vary. No user is going to draw the cartridge with the same amount of force, even if they do time out each vape.
At a lower price than Kurvana ASCND, Select Elite has a better value
Select Elite cartridges run about five dollars less than the Kurvana ASCND, depending on where you go. There may be some variation of this from one dispensary to another. At Mankind in San Diego, Select Elite carts run $37.00 while the Kurvana ASCND asks for $42.00. These are sub-total prices waiting for taxes to be applied.
In Nevada Select Elite cartridges are $52 at standard retail price at Essence Tropicana West in Las Vegas. Of course NV has higher prices but there are also a lot of discounts (ie: Medical, local). When Bert purchased six carts there was a Select Oil pop up shop and he got them for buy one get one for 1c. With all discounts ended up being less than $170 for 6 carts. Even at full price we still buy them because they are one of the best options out there.
For an extra five spot, the only real difference Kurvana ASCND has with the Select Elite is the CTEC ceramic coil. Is it worth that much? Geoff can’t tell that much, if any, of a difference. Maybe after using them for a while, he will be able to tell. As it is, I’d take the savings because both brands are expensive.
Bert says even without a discount Select Elite cartridges are typically worth the extra cost over most other options at any given dispensary. Nevada cartridges generally run from $40 to $50. Remedy once had carts priced at $63 but recently those have been lowered to $46. Bert would take Roots over Select Elite, but Roots does sell out. Roots are not only a bit stronger, but they taste better and are cheaper. Bert says Select Elite is the best fallback brand: If you are unsure what to get in any medical state and Select Elite is there, get it since you know it will be good.
Select Elite Shows How To Label & Package A Cartridge
In the current state of some California dispensaries, quality assurance isn’t always so easy to come by. I’m not saying that dispensaries operating under the radar can’t carry premium cartridges. One tactic leading cartridge makers use to combat rip-offs is fancy packaging. Still, so many brands leave info off the label and use a poor tamper-proof device. Nevada versions have pretty much the same packaging and it’s on point.
Other cartridge brands should look to Select Elite as the best example in this regard. You have to follow instructions to get into the box! Select Elite labels also tell the 3rd party laboratory, a point many brands leave out.
Some of the different Select Elite strains we’ve tried so far
Select Elite is a brand we pickup all the time even when it is not for reviewing, but here are some of the strains we remembered to take pics of.
Flo cartridge
Flo had a great energy to it. Taste was decent.
Gelato cartridge
Really did not feel or taste that much different than the Flo. Still a great THC cart overall.
Select Elite Hybrid: High Roller
The High Roller strain cartridge has 91% THC and also had some of the strongest effects. This and Lee Roy were Bert’s overall top Select Elite picks.
Royal Haze
This sativa gave great energy. THC tested at 92%, but the Lee Roy still felt stronger at 88%. THC percentage is not always everything.
Royal Orange
The Royal Orange Select Elite cartridge was pretty similar to Royal Haze with just a bit more of an energy kick to it.
Concluding our Select Elite review
For consumers who want pure high-quality concentrate, Select Elite cartridges are the real deal. In California, Kurvana ASCND may have a slight edge, but it is just a matter of opinion. For Nevada, Roots and Airo Pro edge it out to take the top spots, but Select is still considered awesome. We highly recommend Select Elite cartridges and their many strains. If they would drop the price a bit and ditch the plastic material, we’d love them even better.

Flavorful honey gold oil that’s but not too high in THC percentage defines the Cobra Extracts cartridge experience. For those who appreciate a concentrate packed with true to strain flavors, these carts might be calling out your name. The psychoactive effects are strong, but the THC levels make them short lived. Read on and devour all there is to know about ELEV8, the new Cobra Extracts cartridge.
Pros:
Pure, Batch Tested Oil
Solventless CO2 Extraction Process
Aromatic & Strong “True To Strain” Flavors
Good Number Of Puffs
Big Vapor Clouds
Cons:
Average THC Content
Effects not long lasting
Recommendations: Their oil process seems awesome but higher levels of THC would be nice to see.

The Cobra Extracts cartridge beats their crumble and shatter
After trying Cobra Extracts shatter and the crumble, their cartridge delivers the best experience. The rich flavor profiles come through stronger, as do the effects when you vape the oil. Using the latest CCELL vaping technology, the carts are efficient and long-lasting. We just wish the THC content was higher in the .5-gram ELEV8 cartridges and the effect lasted longer. For someone most concerned about flavor these are an excellent choice.
ELEV8 carts use a CCELL cartridge that is durable and reliable
When the oil in a CCELL cartridge is almost gone, the inner cloth wick can dry up. Continued use of the cartridge at this point can give off vapor with a burnt taste so always make sure to leave your cartridges standing up.
Cobra Extracts cartridges can leave a strong burnt aftertaste if you vape them too low, but this can happen on almost any vape cartridge. They are, however, durable with a strong glass tube, smooth black ceramic mouthpiece, and hardy metal components. ELEV8 carts use the standard 510 threads that will fit most batteries.
The Cobra Extracts cartridge has a golden honey oil
Cobra Extracts compares their oil to the source of their own name, the King Cobra. Their oils have the same gold color and honey-like consistency as the venom of the well-known snake.
Using their own twist on CO2 extraction, Cobra Extracts produces nothing but pure and solventless extracts. Their proprietary extraction process is also part of the reason the oils have so much flavor.
Cobra Extracts carts aren’t the most potent
The range of THC in Cobra Extracts cartridges isn’t weak, but neither is it packed with psychoactive compounds. It may be due to the delivery method, but the carts seem to have a stronger effect than the crumble and the shatter. It could also be that the strains of cartridges we tried are higher in THC. The cartridges do test pretty high though, between 82% and 93% THC.
Whatever the case, Cobra Extracts cartridges are not as potent as brands like Kurvana ASCND, Select Elite, or Heavy Hitters. They do give a nice euphoric effect and make up for any lack of THC in flavor. Many people are seeking a THC cartridge with not to strong effects that taste good, and this hits that sweet spot.
Cobra Extracts cartridge flavors will surprise you with excellent taste
With several different strains to offer, the flavors in each Cobra Extracts cartridge will amaze you. It’s truly what sets them apart from other cartridges. Not every vape fan wants an extremely potent cartridge, but they all appreciate good taste.
Cobra Extracts was good enough to send us 6 different cartridge strains that you can see below. Each one is packed with true to strain flavor.
Big vapes won’t drain your cartridge down too fast
You can take a long, drawn-out hit off a Cobra Extracts cartridge and it won’t use up half the oil. You’ll get a huge cloud and really taste the flavor too. Average THC levels can mean an issue in efficiency for those who vape a lot of concentrates. You may go through it faster trying to sustain the effects, but the oil itself seems to vape slowly.
You get a better than average amount of puffs with a Cobra Extracts cartridge
One of the more positive features of the Cobra Extracts cartridge is the number of puffs they give. A half gram cart of the Cobra Extracts gives more puffs than brands like Jetty Extracts, Heavy Hitters, and THClear. It’s a trade-off here between carts with more THC or ones with more flavor and puffs.
Using the Cobra Extracts key chain battery
We like to test our cartridges using a premium battery and we prefer to use the Vessel battery since it is our top pick for use with THC cartridges. It’s not a bad idea, however, to use the battery that goes with the product if you can. In this case, Cobra Extracts makes a keychain flip battery that looks like the LoKey.
Unlike the LoKey, the one by Cobra Extracts features three different temperature settings. Users can power the unit on or off with five clicks of the button, or switch temps with three clicks. The temperature settings are visible on the battery itself and go as follows:
Green – 3.7 Volts
Blue – 3.9 Volts
Gold – 4.1 Volts
At $30 a cart, the value is also better than average
I would prefer to see the Cobra Extracts cartridges in the 20-25 dollar range and in some dispensaries they may be. Still, $30 is lower than what many of the name brand companies are asking. If you see these carts for a deal or with bulk savings, it might be a good time to pick a few up.
The ELEV8 cartridge review roundup
Look for the Cobra Extracts .5-gram cartridges in the long slide out packages and bearing the name ELEV8. For those who aren’t as much concerned about high THC levels and want a bold flavor, these carts are a perfect fit. Whether you prefer a fruity Maui Wowie or a heavy Venom OG, there’s a strain of your preference.

Vape cartridges and batteries can both fail. Sometimes it’s just a bad point of contact and nothing is really broken. Here we go through the first thing to do when your battery is flashing on your vape cartridge and it seems to be broken.
This applies to threaded batteries that are not using a magnetic adapter. Here we specifically used the Vessel battery in our demonstration video below.
This same technique works on other batteries as well. A cart can be dead and a battery can fail, but try this before you start trying to figure out if something is broken. Another common fix on mod and wax pen batteries is adjusting the center pin.
CCELL cartridges have become the most known and used cartridge that many companies use to fill in their distillate. Because of this, manufacturers replicated this hardware and sell in bulk to people on the streets rather than licensed dispensaries.
Companies such as Roots Extracts use authentic CCELL’s. If you ever encounter any fake CCELL Cartridges, than the oil you are smoking might be unknown and harmful. Not to say that legit companies have not come up dirty in pesticide and solvent tests either. Here, we show how to identify and differentiate between authentic and fake CCELL cartridges.
Where are fake CCELL Cartridges even being sold?
Manufacturers are creating identical duplicates and not only selling them empty, but also with fake branded cartridges. Distributors sell these cartridges anywhere online, allowing people to fill it up with untested and skeptical distillate. Although sometimes it may be hard to tell, some cartridges may look exactly the same as the legit ones.
But don’t be fooled, some of these identifiers are very small and subtle to tell. It took a while to identify, but after countless cartridges, we were finally able to tell them apart. Remember, even the tiniest detail can tell apart from all of these fakes and real carts.
Before we identify these counterfeits, here’s a list of brands that have been thought to use CCELL Cartridges:
These are just a few companies, as we find more we’ll keep updating this list.
How to identify fake CCELL Cartridges
They should have all three stamps engraved on the bottom of the cartridge
Each cartridge has three unique stamps engraved on the bottom of it. A CCELL logo or Jupiter, a K stamp and a serial number as well. None of these three should be missing nor misplaced. Furthermore, this engraved stamp should not look oddly huge or have a light color. If you see that your stamp has a different font size or style than the original carts, it’s probably a fake CCELL. As with the serial number, it may start with a variety of letters (CA, M,L). This is very important as to authenticate which lot the actual CCELL’s were actually manufactured.
Fonts should not be different size, color or misplaced at all
As mentioned earlier, none of these stamps should look different than the authentic itself. The stamps should never be a sticker, always engraved. Also legit ones should not have a white plastic circle underneath the cartridge.
The length of this cartridge should not be to different sized than the original
This may be a bit hard to tell if you don’t have an original cartridge side by side. But something I noticed is that with these fake CCELL cartridges, they are either too wide or too thin. Every single authentic CCELL I had lined up were the same length as each other. Whereas, all the fake ones had odd and different size in length.
Fake CCELL Cartridges use weak atomizers
Again, this will be difficult to tell for many people, but these fake cartridges do contain a weak atomizer. I didn’t even realize at first, but every hit I took would always be weak and light. I also noticed that it would collect reclaim inside the mouth piece itself. Which is strange, because every authentic cartridge I would get never did this nor give too light of a hit.
Not only that, but authentic carts have a total of 6 inlet holes on the cartridge itself. This is for the airflow, which is why these carts are unique and used often. Taking a closer look, you can see 4 of them at the base of the airway. The other 2 holes on the bottom of the cartridge on the 510 thread itself.
Mouth piece is compressed on plastic top carts, screw on with ceramic top carts
Plastic top CCELL cartridges have the mouth piece compressed on. Every time I picked up a Dank Vapes cartridge, they would never have screw on mouth piece, always sealed. I’ve pulled off the mouth piece multiple times with legit ones, and only did so successfully using pliers. There was a time where the mouth piece came off easily, but it turned out to be on a Dank Vapes cartridge. Shown below is a fake disarmed, this is the one where I pulled the mouth piece off with ease.
Unique silicone rings inside the cartridge
If the mouth piece is removable, you’ll be able to see 3 silicone rings on the bottom of the mouthpiece, the top of the airway and the bottom of the airway within the cartridge. If you ever see two or more silicones in an area that should only have one, it may be a fake.
As for the mouthpieces that don’t come off, you’ll be able to see a clear silicone ring on the bottom of the cartridge itself. This is shown underneath when you flip the cartridge upside down.
Cartridges should not come damaged or malfunctioning
It should be noted that this cartridge should never come cracked, leaking or damaged what so ever. It’s one thing if you drop and crack it. But if it already comes like that and has one or more indicators of it being fake, than you should watch for it. Of course this may be an accident on shipping or the companies that use them. Leaking is another sign of a fake CCELL, these cartridges are built to not really be leaking, but occasionally it can happen. Failures are also not common for real CCELL carts. If you have a lot of carts getting failures that look like they are CCELLs, more likely they are fake than real.
Apart from this, each cartridge should have the bottom plastic cover on it, like the cartridge shown above. Furthermore, this also may be at fault of the companies end again if it’s not on. But in my experience, I’ve never received a CCELL or any cart for that matter without this plastic cover.
UPDATE 12/12/19 : Canna Brand packaging
Canna Brand Solutions is an authorized distributor of CCELL vaporization technologies, which places a mark like the following to verify legit CCELL-using carts:
Before vaping any cart, refer to this and make sure your cart is legit
There are too many fake CCELL cartridges and overall fake brands selling low quality oil. These fakes, contaminated with dozens of pesticides are having people distrust and sketched out about consuming cartridges. With the way the cannabis industry is moving, cartridges are becoming more and more known and popular. These carts aren’t suppose to be suspicious to smoke like many fear. As always make sure your products are coming from a licensed dispensary or a reliable source.
As we weed through different THC cartridges, one thing that helps set the better ones apart is a comparison. We pick two of the more popular cartridges and pair them up against each other. This next bout is Brass Knuckles vs Mario Carts, two brands that definitely have the public’s eye.
Brass Knuckles vs Mario Carts: Which one offers the best experience?
There is a lot of talk these days about fake cartridges, pesticides, and unlicensed growers. Vape lovers naturally want to know if cartridges are pure and have high-quality oil. We also care about the cartridge itself. Questions about the heating system and design tell us how well they perform.
After trying and writing about both brands, we now share our observations in full detail. Take a front seat ringside as the Brass Knuckles vs Mario Carts match up is about to begin.
Brass Knuckles vs Mario Carts in flavor: Are there additives in Mario Carts?
After trying the Mario Carts Strawberry Pie and Ghost OG, it almost tastes like they add a flavoring. Not in the Ghost OG, but the Strawberry Pie vapes hot on the throat and the berry taste is too strong. Independent Mario Carts lab tests don’t show additives but they do show the existence of pesticides.
It’s tough to provide real facts about Mario Carts because they don’t provide any information. Mario Carts doesn’t have a website or a business license. They have more than 1 Instagram Page, each claiming to be the real deal.
Brass Knuckles, on the other hand, does have a company website and license. Their oils, however, have also tested dirty for pesticides. Brass Knuckles thinks the dirty lab tests are from fake cartridges and are fighting the results, but we are pretty sure it has tested dirty before. See our oil pen tests list for more information.
When it comes to pure flavor, Brass Knuckles delivers the more enjoyable taste. Their Jack Herer is so potent that you only need the tiniest vape to get the full flavor. The Brass Knuckles Gorilla Glue #4 isn’t as potent as their Jack Herer but still has that true to strain taste.
Oil strength and THC percentage: Brass Knuckles rules
Once again, there isn’t much info to go by from Mario Carts. Going by the feel of the effect, Mario Carts are more potent than brands like Cobra Extracts. They state on their zip-lock packages a THC percent between 83 and 87 but provide no other details.
Mario Carts holds their own when it comes to oil strength, but they pale in comparison to the Brass Knuckles Jack Herer. The Brass Knuckles Gorilla Glue is closer in strength to the Mario Carts Ghost OG but does carry the better potency.
An inspection of the Brass Knuckles cartridge packaging shows no THC percentage at all. They do state on the Jack Herer package that it’s the “Most Potent THC Cartridge Available”. After trying it, I’m a believer.
Efficiency is a neck and neck tie
In comparing Brass Knuckles vs Mario Carts, they both score the same for efficiency. Mario Carts use a rod & coil vaporizer as does Brass Knuckles. The difference is that Brass Knuckles has a quartz core instead of ceramic. Extended draws will produce large clouds on either cartridge.
Efficiency, when two carts feature the same design, can come down to potency. You’ll get way more use out of the Brass Knuckles Jack Herer due to the fact you won’t need to vape as much. It is that incredibly potent. The other strains in both brands appear to be equal in efficiency.
Number of puffs are about the same
The amount of puffs in a cartridge has to do with the vaporizer apparatus and the consistency of the oil. If your battery has different heat settings, that’s another factor that could alter the results.
Of course, you’ll get more puffs if you go with the Brass Knuckles 2.2-gram cartridge. Otherwise, there isn’t a noticeable difference comparing Brass Knuckles vs Mario Carts. A 1-gram cartridge will have plus or minus 200 hits whichever brand you choose.
Brass Knuckles vs Mario Carts in value
In a sense, it doesn’t matter that Mario Carts might be cheaper than Brass Knuckles. While Brass Knuckles has scars from failed pesticides tests in the past, their oils seem to now be passing clean. Mario Carts continue to come up dirty to the best of our knowledge.
If you remove the issue of pesticides from consideration, the cartridges will usually offer close to equal value. That’s assuming you pick up the Mario Carts for less. In a contest of Brass Knuckles vs Mario Carts, Mario Carts wins for pricing. Their 1-gram carts typically run $40 or less while Brass Knuckles average is $50. These are based on California prices. The Brass Knuckles Jack Herer offers the best value of them all.
What About Brass Knuckles vs Other Popular Carts?
If you have a suggestion for a vs article, by all means, tell us in the comments or on our Forum. We will be adding more versus posts as time goes by. For now, Brass Knuckles stands up pretty well in value against other top brand names.
The concentrate, for example, in Kurvana ASCND carts is pure and extremely potent. Their cartridges compare to the Brass Knuckles Jack Herer in strength. In value, however, they come nowhere near the same number of puffs for the price.
Kurvana ASCND carts come to about $40.00 for .5-grams of distillate. Select Elite cartridges are very similar to the Kurvana ASCND, though they cost about $5.00 less. It’s still a lot considering Brass Knuckles full gram carts run about $50.00. Getting oil from a continuously clean testing brand does offer some value in itself.
The final tally for Brass Knuckles vs Mario Carts
You can probably tell who holds top honors in our Brass Knuckles vs Mario Carts face off. Brass Knuckles does charge more, but they are more likely going to be clean. That really makes the decision easy right there. If those dirty lab tests were to change on Mario Carts cartridges, Brass Knuckles would still edge them out. But it wouldn’t be too much.
Without the issue of pesticides, the Brass Knuckles vs Mario Carts inspection would go either way depending on the strain. We really enjoy the flavor of the Mario Carts Ghost OG but think the Strawberry Pie is poor quality. On the other hand, no Brass Knuckles carts disappoint. It’s just that some aren’t as potent as their Jack Herer.
Do you have any experiences vaping either Brass Knuckles or Mario Carts cartridges? If so, which one do you like better? Is it a specific strain? Let us know by leaving a comment below or join the conversation on our forum. We value all of our viewer’s feedback.
Brass Knuckles Napalm OG turned out to be a pretty disappointing cartridge. I already know coming into the cartridge that Brass Knuckles was using very old hardware. The technology they’re using is from a few years ago. I also went a step further and even took the oil and put it into a CCELL cartridge to see how effective the oil was. When I made the hardware change, Brass Knuckles was significantly stronger. Overall it seems like Brass Knuckles has some potential if they update their hardware.
UPDATE 5/3/2019: The Napalm OG style packaging is being used to make counterfeits. The strain is Napalm OG. Any cart that has Napalm OG packaging and a different strain sticker is a fake. See our fake Brass Knuckles post for more info.
Overall Brass Knuckles on the lower end of available brands for legal states
I have now tried Brass Knuckles in both California and Nevada. In CA though I cannot be sure 100% it was not a fake. Also we updated our main Brass Knuckles review to include its ranking compared to other THC cartridges we have now tried.
I recently picked up this Napalm OG in Nevada because the likelihood that there is a pesticide issue is much less in Nevada than it is in California. On that list, you will find previous failures for Brass Knuckles. Some time after actually completing use of this cartridge I noticed it was not restocked Essence on West Tropicana.
Overall, the Brass Knuckles cartridge proved to have somewhat decent oil inside. But nowhere near the best and below average compared to other cartridges available in California and Nevada.
The build quality is feels solid on the Brass Knuckles cartridge but it broke down
Build quality on the Brass Knuckles cartridge appears to be good initially. But you will find out that they often break as mine did at a later date. The hardware on this has poor reliability and this is noted all over the internet. And there it’s given a low built quality score.
Design is outdated and could use an upgrade
The design of Brass Knuckles cartridge is a coil based cartridge. This is an antiquated system. The preferred method out there for most people is a ceramic core cartridge like the ones found in CCELL cartridges.
Oil quality here is just okay
Nothing super special about it and it seemed to me like a standard distillate you would find in many other cartridges. A little below average but not terrible.
Brass Knuckles Napalm OG was not very strong
The strength of the cartridge was incredibly weak. When compared to other cartridges available in Las Vegas, strength came in weak. If I picked any cartridge off the shelf, way more likely than not it would be stronger than Brass Knuckles cartridge. Part of that is due to the hardware. The hardware just does not hit that hard. Second, there is also a limit on the THC percentage for 1 gram cartridges in Nevada. It is either 80% or 85%. But that is why you will find half gram cartridges have much higher THC percentages. I even took the oil and put it into a CCELL cartridge to see if it was strong. The hardware is definitely holding it back. However, the oil was still not as strong as that available from other brands such as Roots and Airo Pro.
Metallic taste in original hardware but pretty good when transferred to a CCELL cartridge.
The taste was pretty good when it’s in a different cartridge. Initially, the taste of the Brass Knuckles cartridge gave a kind of metallic taste. Not until I put the oil in another cartridge that I really see what the oil tastes like. However, if you judge the cartridge as is because people are not taking the oil and transferring it to some other cartridge. I am just noting this because I want you to know that the hardware really holds back the taste here. The taste was actually pretty good when it’s in a CCELL cartridge. Definitely above average probably in the top 10 percent of taste. However, the original hardware gives that metallic taste. Based on how it is, it squares poorly on taste here.
The cartridge is not efficient because it broke
The cartridge broke with about maybe a third of the oil was left in it. I don’t consider that efficient because it broke. This cartridge has had reliability issues before and Brass Knuckles really should upgrade their hardware
The number of puffs is also limited by the hardware failing
It does seem like the oil lasts fairly well though. It’s a decent thickness. When I switched it to the CCELL cartridge that cartridge got a lot of puffs out of it. I still did not complete it all the way because honestly I have better oils to use. And, I’d rather hit them all the way. Brass Knuckles sits in the shelf. If I run out of everything else, I hit the leftover Brass Knuckles oil in the CCELL cartridge.
The value was terrible for Brass Knuckles cartridge since it costs way more than competitors and delivers less strength
I must also mention that prices in Nevada are generally higher than in California and other states. However, the price per cartridge was way higher. I got this from a dispensary called Pisos in Las Vegas and they were charging $120 for a 1 gram cartridge. Luckily, I had a discount pass from going to the MJBizcon and they gave me a third off. While they were available at Essence Tropicana West, they were $85 for 1g cartridge which is much lower. However, even at $85 it is not worth it. At the same dispensary, I would much rather get 2 Roots cartridges for $90. Not only that it lasts a lot longer, they also are stronger, tastes better and use better hardware. Pretty much everything about Roots is better. In California, if you’re looking for an alternative to Brass Knuckles, check out Airo Pro, Kurvana ASCND and Select Elite.
Concluding our Brass Knuckles Napalm OG review…
Brass Knuckles lives up to the reputation it has among people that have tried a lot of cartridges. Overall a poor quality product that is just heavily advertised and pushed with celebrity endorsement. Hopefully Brass Knuckles can turn things around and make better cartridges in the future. They should invest more into their hardware instead of billboards. You can learn more information about Brass Knuckles OG cartridges on their website here.

Just like all the rest of their products, Cobra Extracts crumble has one prominent feature. A distinct, full-flavor profile! These are dabs with an incredibly rich taste, though they have an average range of potency. Don’t mistake the crumble for having weak effects. It just won’t floor you in one hit. Read on to learn the pros as well as the cons and decide if its right for you in our Cobra Extracts crumble review.
Pros:
Full & Unique Flavor
Low Price
Smooth & Easy On The Throat
Pure, Batch-Tested Extract
Cons:
Mediocre Levels Of THC
Consistency More Like Wax Than Crumble
Recommendations: It may be difficult to achieve while keeping the bold flavor, but the crumble doesn’t crumble. Instead of grabbing a chunk, you usually have to scoop it up. Higher levels of THC would also be a bonus.

Cobra Extracts crumble offers value to the right user
If you’re looking for a crumble that will knock your socks off in one vape, Cobra Extracts may not be the right choice. That doesn’t mean it’s not worth having. Beginners may appreciate a less intense effect at first, and they aren’t the only ones.
In the middle of a busy day, plenty of folks may go for vape of crumble if it doesn’t wreck them. One thing Cobra Extracts crumble does offer is a bold taste in every strain. A smooth exhale and delectable flavors highlight every vape.
Crumble quality is average to above average
Let us be fully transparent here. We didn’t get to our crumble right away so the heat may have affected it. It’s strange, though, because each crumble is different. You can see that the Mimosa is in the form of a glob while the Triple Ripple looks more like a crumble.
When you take your dab tool to them, however, they both have a waxy consistency. The appearance of Cobra Extracts crumble is much more reassuring than the consistency. Mimosa has an off white, creamy color while the Triple Ripple looks like golden honey.
At 65-75% THC, Cobra Extracts crumble has mid to range potency
There aren’t any exact statistics for Cobra Extracts crumble on the box or on the company website. They do state the concentrate in their cartridge oils range from 65-75% THC.
This level matches up with effects of the crumble. After trying 6 different carts and two types of shatter, the Cobra Extracts crumble seems to be the weakest of their extracts, but in general crumble is weaker than shatter, and these days even than some carts like I found when comparing them to the Cobra Extracts cartridges.
One dab gives nice, though not extended effects
Saying the levels of THC are average doesn’t mean the crumble doesn’t work. It is, after all, super-concentrated cannabis in a dab. Take a larger chunk or scoop of Cobra Extracts crumble and it will get you going. It’s not a concentrate that will stump you like Cannavative shatter, and the effects won’t last as long.
The taste is unique and bursting with flavors
The taste of Cobra Extracts crumble is where it really stands out. In fact, all of their extracts feature bold flavors that are very true to strain. I can’t quite figure out the Triple Ripple, except that it tastes like you’re eating an orange. Their Mimosa crumble leaves a strong taste of lemon that lasts on the tongue.
Many companies use solvents in the extraction process then refine it to remove any residue. This also tends to remove the flavor. Cobra Extracts uses a solventless CO2 cold extraction technique which really keeps in the flavor.
Cobra Extracts crumble will make you cough, but isn’t harsh on the throat
Take a medium to large size vape and this crumble will probably send you coughing. Most crumbles will do that as they expand in your lungs. Cobra Extracts crumble doesn’t burn your throat on the exhale as some do. It’s not the smoothest crumble out there, but with that much flavor, it could be really hot.
Good value crumble due to flavor and low price
For those enthusiasts who are after a great tasting crumble and THC level isn’t everything, Cobra Extracts offers good value. Available in select California dispensaries, the price is on the lower side. As it currently stands, Cobra Extracts crumbles are hard to find. Top Shelf Collective delivery service in Hollywood carries a good selection of their other products, all at low prices.
Cobra Extracts crumble review wrap up
Keep an eye out for Cobra Extracts crumble as well as their other products when you visit your local dispensary. For the asking price, they make a nice backup or mellow vape when you want it. You can’t beat the flavor and the crumble is pure. With a wide range of strains, these crumbles are sure to be a hit.

DabConnection is happy to bring you another new brand to our growing list of cartridge reviews. This time it’s Jetty Extracts Gold under the spotlight and the Sativadominant Maui Wowie. Coming from the licensed Mankind dispensary in San Diego, quality assurance is what we’re after. Take a walk out onto the Jetty in the following Jetty Extracts cartridge review and see why it made our best vape cartridges in California list.
No Visible Proof Of Purity On Package For Each Unit
Weak Safety Seal
Recommendations: We love the new CCELL cartridge design over the old wick style. The oil vapes up faster than other similar brands. It would be best if Jetty makes obvious the lab doing the testing and includes the information on each cartridge. They have tested clean though when independently tested.
See our video review below and keep reading on for the more in depth review of Jetty cartridges.
Jetty Extracts improves & offers a superb cartridge
I remember Jetty Extracts cartridges from a few years back. These days, they no longer use the wick draw system of old but the preferred c-cell design. It’s the slim style that doesn’t come to close to the outer glass. At the base are four evenly spaced absorption holes. Their positioning at the very bottom ensures very little oil residue left over.
One thing I do not remember from the old style cartridges is such fantastic flavor and potency. It’s possible that my memory is just fading, but the Jetty Extracts Gold cartridges seem much better in this regard. Despite a few issues with packaging and labeling, these are fine cartridges indeed.
The Jetty Extracts Gold Maui Wowie is full of flavor & true to strain
With all the different cross-breeds of Maui Wowie, we can only say that the flavor hits home. Tropical reminiscents of Hawaii burst over your palate with hints of citrus, earth, and pineapple. Jetty Extracts Gold Maui Wowie is strong and it doesn’t take much of a vape to enjoy the full flavor.
Jetty Extracts Gold Maui Wowie packs a potent punch at 88.36% THC
The potency of the Jetty Extracts Maui Wowie is up there and effects set in fast. Energy and a positive vibe result after a single draw from this cartridge. Like other premium carts, the packaging provides percentages as well as levels by mg. The .5-gram Maui Wowie cart has 441.8 mg of THC and no CBD.
Jetty carts are durable and include a comfortable wooden mouthpiece
Jetty Extracts Gold cartridges start with the usual 510 threads at the bottom. Above that is their seagull logo with a green border that covers the ignition system. Next is a strong glass tube with the ceramic center and metal drawtube inside. Above the glass tube is a metal ring and then a smooth wooden mouthpiece. The mouthpiece does not unscrew making the cart non-refillable.
Carts come with a tamper-proof seal
Jetty Extract Gold cartridges use a sticker as a tamper-proof seal which isn’t that sticky. It would be easy to peel it off and get to the cart inside, then reapply it later. The package is a cylinder that you twist and lift to open. A small gunny sack with drawstrings on the inside holds the actual cartridge.
Jetty Extracts Gold Carts provide a batch #, but no lab to verify with
Nowhere on the packaging or on the company website does it show the lab that does the testing. Since there is a batch number, you would assume that means you can check the results of testing. I have an email out and will update the post with their answer. Besides a batch #, Jetty Extracts shows the manufacturing, packaging, and best by dates.
$35.00 for a .5-gram cartridge at a licensed CA dispensary isn’t bad
It sure would be nice to see that price drop lower, especially considering the $35.00 is before taxes. That’s right. In a licensed CA dispensary you have to pay taxes, and you won’t get out of any of them unless you have an MMID card. Still. a lot of .5-gram carts are even more in licensed California dispensaries.
Take the Honey Vape Green Crack or the Sunday Goods Trainwreck over at MedMen in nearby Kearny Mesa. Both .5g cartridges, the Honey Vape costs $40.00 and Sunday Goods $45.00. When you save 5 to 10 bucks and are able to take advantage of discounts as well, it makes a big difference.
Number of puffs is just a little light
It’s interesting because at the time of testing I had two other .5-gram carts to compare with the Jetty Extracts Gold. There wasn’t a huge disparity in how fast the oil receded, but just enough to notice. I love the Maui Wowie and I really wish this cartridge would last a little longer.
Large vapes are easy but they may hurt
For those who like lung bursting vapes, this is a go-to cartridge. Not only is it potent, but it expands quickly inside the lungs. Those terpenes will hit you and if you’re not careful, you’ll find yourself coughing up a huge storm. You can check that video if you haven’t already and see the vape it gives!
End of the rocks on the Jetty Extracts Gold cartridge
Flaws in the Jetty Extract Gold cartridge have nothing to do with design, flavor, or potency. They have more to do with the packaging and how information is presented. It’ll be interesting to hear what Jetty Extracts has to say about lab analysis, and we will update as soon as they answer back. Assuming the lab tests are clear, they make an incredible vaping experience.

Fake Cereal Carts have become a very popular phenomenon, causing a lot of confusion and disruption to consumers. Because there is no information about this company, many people are wondering if these carts are safe to smoke or even legit.
Although we aren’t sure its legitimacy, we have recently encountered fake Cereal Carts that have been improperly made. We picked up two different flavors, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Honey Nut Cheerios, and found right away they were fake. Furthermore, here we’ll explain how to differentiate between unordinary and odd Cereal Carts to (supposedly) real ones.
Counterfeit carts are selling fast through the black market
There’s hundreds of accounts, selling fake Cereal carts through dozens of different platforms, claiming to be real. It’s an industry wide problem. Cereal is not the only brand to be subjected to fake cartridges. Either people selling pre-filled cartridges full of pesticides, or manufacturers selling packaging for people to re-fill. Regardless, all these fake counterfeit cartridges are disrupting the cannabis industry and the consumers experience. This makes it very difficult to trust and smoke Cereal Carts in the first place.
Below is a video with the basics on fake Cereal Carts. Keep reading for more detailed information.
Identifying Fake Cereal Carts
It may be very hard to tell apart, for there really is no information about the company what so ever. Although they do have an Instagram account, it is private, not allowing us to view any of their posts. Some of these identifiers are very little and subtle, sometimes these carts will look identical to the original packaging.
Improper packaging / No holograph on package
First, the easiest way to tell if they’re fake is if there’s no sort of hologram on the packaging. The same goes with fake Dank Vapes, there should always be some sort of holograph on every strain, logo and overall packaging. If it looks like some simple, plain package that doesn’t seem to shine, than it may be a fake Cereal Carts.
The taste is odd and atrocious
Another thing to watch for with these carts is the taste of each strain. The real ones should taste exactly like whatever the strain of the package claims to be. These two flavors we have give very light hits and flavor, tasting like artificial cereal and vape juice. There have even been rumors of people claiming their cart to taste like too much chemicals or even metal.
The oil is dark and bad quality
Sometimes you won’t be able to tell at all, but other times these counterfeits use terrible oil quality and terpenes. Cereal Carts and Dank Vapes both have moderate looking oil. Not too dark, nor too light, but a strong yellow color. Also, the oil isn’t even that dense with the real ones, they are somewhat light and thin. But if it moves very fast like watered down oil, it might be fake and hazardous to smoke.
Fake Cereal Carts may have inauthentic CCELL cartridges
This is another great way to check if your Cereal cart, or any cartridge that uses CCELL is legit. Remember, even the littlest things can differentiate the differences between each other.
CCELL carts have three different stamps on them
Each cartridge has three unique stamps engraved on the bottom of it. A CCELL logo, a K stamp and a CA serial number as well. None of these three should be missing nor misplaced. Furthermore, this engraved stamp should not look oddly huge or have a light color. If you see that your stamp has a different font size or style than the original carts, it might not be authentic. Shown below will tell you the difference between real and fake CCELL’s.
Cereal Carts Flavors:
Apple Jacks
Blueberry Pancake Crunch
Cupcake Pebbles
Count Chocula
Cookie Crisp
Cocoa Puffs
Cap’n Crunch
Franken Berry
Fruity Pebbles
Froot Loops
Luck Charms
Honey Nut Cheerios
Cinnamon Toast Crunch
Overall, I recommend to purchase safer cartridges than Cereal Carts
Regardless of how good these may taste to you, they are still unknown and sketchy to trust at this moment. Having no background, we are unsure what exactly is in this distillate. Apart from this, there are no lab results of any sort for this brand out yet.
As usual, we recommend for you to purchase your products safely through licensed dispensaries or a trusted source. There are too many fakes containing dozens of pesticides in each distillate. If you’ve ever encountered these cartridges, post it on the forum and tell us your experience.
