O.PenVape is a manufacturing company that distributes vape products/hardware and cartridges. Here, we try their cartridge line, the Reserve cartridge. Unfortunately, we weren’t that impressed with these cartridges. Furthermore, here we’ll talk about our experience and allow you to determine its value.
Pros:
Smooth hits
Fairly efficient
CCELL hardware
Cons:
Not that strong
Recommendations: Provide more potent quality oil/strength.
UPDATE 3/16/2021: It should be noted that we are comparing the California version of O.PenVape to Nevada cartridges in this review. Apparently, the Nevada version of O.PenVape Reserve is stronger and we will retest those soon in the future.
O.PenVape Reserve cartridge delivers smooth, flavorful hits, but isn’t very strong
After trying this cartridge, I enjoy how smooth and efficiently it hits, as well as the flavor it provides. The taste delivers a great, sweet, and light flavor. The taste is probably my favorite feature out of all this cartridge.
But with that being said, Reserve cartridges didn’t turn out to have the best strength. They still provide fair strength and decent effects, but really aren’t that potent. This can be a disappointment for heavy smokers, but still, they aren’t a bad cartridge to smoke. Not my primary choice, but they still deliver enjoyably smooth and tasteful hits.
Reserve Cartridges use real CCELL M6T hardware
The hardware these cartridges use is CCELL M6T. Very common hardware used amongst many cartridges in the market. This hardware is great and provides very efficient hits. CCELL is known to be a reputable company. Giving smooth and tasteful hits, I rarely have any bad experiences with the CCELL.
Fair quality oil, not very potent
The quality of oil that these cartridges provide is just alright. Not terrible or anything, just nothing to be excited for. Fairly thick and dense, doesn’t move as easily nor is it that thin. Visually, it looks good.
Although the oil quality is alright, the potency of this cartridge isn’t that high. The effects are still good, but not very strong. I’d need various hits to feel a good high. A bit unfortunate and disappointing for heavy smokers. But this cartridge still delivers decent strength.
Reserve Cartridge delivers an okay, sweet taste but could use some improvement as well
The strain that we picked up here is Mimosa. As mentioned in their packaging, this strain does deliver a nice and sweet, citrus-like flavor. The one thing I like about these cartridges is they do provide a somewhat flavorful taste. Pretty light in flavor, and doesn’t give very harsh hits.
But the flavor did kind of remind me of the Dank Vape Mimosa flavor strain. Very strange, since Dank Vapes is a very questionable and skeptical company. But Dank Vapes does taste a lot more artificial, for the most part. O.PenVape Reserve cartridge delivers a smoother and lighter taste, not very artificial.
Fair strength and effects, but not the strongest
This O.PenVape Reserve cartridge lands at 83% THC, which isn’t that bad. If anything, in my experience cartridges that land in the mid 80% range provide the best strength. Take, for instance, Cannavative cartridge or the Chemistry cartridge, both in the low 80% and still give strong oil and hits. Some cartridges at 80% actually provide better strength than a few cartridges at 90% THC.
As mentioned earlier, the oil does provide fair strength but isn’t the strongest nor is it very potent. With that being said, the effects on these cartridges aren’t always the strongest. Depending on your tolerance, you might have to take multiple hits to feel a good high. Or perhaps you’re someone with light tolerance, but don’t get your hopes up for high strength or potent hits.
Very efficient with CCELL cartridge, and oil burns fairly slow
Because of the CCELL hardware used by these Reserve cartridges, they burn very efficiently and evenly. No problem with that whatsoever. And along with that, these are full gram cartridges. OPenVape Reserve provides both half gram and full gram cartridges for those who prefer either.
Another thing is how this hardware burns the oil fairly slow. Although the quality of the oil isn’t very potent, it’s still pretty thick. This helps burn the oil smoothly, which can help your cartridge last longer.
O.PenVape Reserve Cartridge and Chemistry Cartridge
After trying both of them, I’d have to say that the Chemistry cartridge is better, hands down. The main advantage Reserve cartridge has is that this one is a full gram and is higher in THC. Chemistry cartridges only come in half grams and are less in THC, not all strains but some of them will be around the mid 70% range.
Disregarding the THC percentages, the oil quality and strength is still better with the Chemistry cartridges. The oil just provides a more flavorful and cleaner taste. As with strength, I did slightly feel more and quicker effects with the Chemistry cartridge. Even with just visualizing it, the oil quality is better. For its quality, I’d recommend and prefer Chemistry out of the two.
Comparing O.PenVape Reserve cartridge with other CA cartridges
Here on DabConnection, we’ve tried a variety of products from CA dispensaries. Recently, we went and picked up a variety of cartridges and pods. But unfortunately, the Reserve cartridge is my least favorite of them all. Not that it’s a terrible cartridge, it’s just that the quality and strength isn’t up there. Great flavor and it can be enjoyable to smoke at times, but nothing exciting.
Just to name a few products we picked up, Lime vape disposable, which I highly recommend. Great disposable, the strength is better and I like the taste it gives is better. West Coast Cure Pod can be a bit more comparable to Reserve, both deliver fair strength. But WCC pods still deliver slightly better strength. Also, the taste is better on them as well, very smooth, and tasteful. And the West Coast Cure pod Live Resin Sauce is much better, way stronger, and very quality oil.
This is just from the most recent cartridges that we tested. Our post, best cartridges for California 2020, show more cartridges that we enjoy more than the previous carts discussed.
Comparing Reserve Cartridges with Nevada brand cartridges
Without a doubt, the Cannavative cartridge is a lot better in strength than the Reserve cartridge. I can take 2-3 hits of the Cannavative and easily feel great high, and strong effects. Also, it is a lot more flavorful. With the Reserve, I’d need double if not triple the number of hits to feel anything.
I tried the Select Elite as well and even they provide stronger and more quality oil. I actually tried their Live Resin Sauce cartridge recently and it was great, way stronger, and tasteful. Nevada overall provides very quality and potent cartridges.
For its value, decent price, but there are better cartridges out there
Depending where and which dispensary you go to, you can find these cartridges priced at around $40-$60 for a full gram. Not a bad price at all, but for the quality of this cartridge, it is questionable. It’s just that you can find a variety of more cartridges, pods, and more for this price range as well.
Concluding the O.PenVape Reserve Cartridge review
To sum up, we didn’t enjoy much of our experience with these Reserve cartridges. Strength isn’t really up there, the taste of it isn’t that great either. The only thing I like about this cartridge is the CCELL hardware and its efficiency. Otherwise, I’m not sure if we would pick these up again. Hopefully, they improve their quality of oil and strength in the near future. You can learn more about the OPenVape Reserve carts here.

Among the many, many, MANY fake THC vape cart brands we have covered on this website, a decent amount of them have infringed on trademark before. The trademarks violated by fake cartridge brands extend to candy, cereal, cartoons, comic books, and numerous other products. Yet we see daily queries asking if they are legit.
Once again: CEREAL CARTS ARE FAKE
Cases like this frustrate us to no end. Every time we see somebody post a sample like this:
And they say “But I thought these were legit!”
Please. Please let it stop.
I can excuse the Danks, because even though the packaging is sketchy and obviously a Photoshop job, at least the package isn’t aimed at replicating any particular brand. But Cereal Carts? Seriously? Froot Loops? The Kellogg’s brand cereal, complete with the mascot (“Toucan Sam,” to you), first established in 1963? Look:
The logo is lifted directly from the box!
How can anyone think this happens?
How does it work where a cannabis extract vape cartridge company calls up Battle Creek, Michigan, at this building:
…and says “put me through to legal,” and then says, “hey, we’re going to rip the brand, logo, and mascot right off your children’s cereal packaging and use it for our pot vapes, just for kicks.”
And then the lawyer for Kellogg’s says, “Yeah sure, it will be fun to have you profit illicitly off our internationally recognized brand name while selling a product not remotely intended for children and even forbidden strictly by THC vape cart packaging laws.”
In what universe does that conversation make any sense?
I don’t know which one shocks me more: The fact that people can think a Froot Loops cart is a real, licensed product, or the fact that The Kellogg Company can’t be bothered to post a message somewhere, anywhere, at least with the disclaimer: “No, dummy, these aren’t licensed carts.”
Is nobody else going to back our play on this? The Kellogg Company holds a royal warrant of appointment signed by Queen Elizabeth II and the Prince of Wales. Their assets total $17 billion. Their employees number to 34K. And it’s up to just us to defend their trademark? I’m sure glad we don’t have to single-handedly repel a Martian invasion or anything, because we’re just a little bit busy right now defending the honor of a cartoon toucan who sells cereal.
Trademark infringement lawsuits do still happen, do they not? We checked, and yes, they do…
Cinnabon sued a vaping company for trademark infringement
Just last October, Cinnabon sued a Las Vegas e-cigarette vape cart maker for labeling their product with the Cinnabon brand name. Cinnabon, a baked goods company famous for cinnamon roll products sold at kiosks in malls and airports, takes exception to being affiliated with vape cartridges. Cinnabon reports sending the company “three separate letters sent between February and June that did not receive a response.”
Despite the federal lawsuit filing, Liquid Chronic Eliquid still has the product page up right now. All the company has to do is change the flavor name to something that doesn’t infringe the trademark, like “cinnamon roll” or something else generic, and they’d be in the clear.
The EDM band Deadmau5 sued a vape supply for copyright infringement
Deadmau5, a band with which our readers are likely familiar, sued West Coast Vape Supply for having a logo too close to their band logo. Yes, we know Deadmau5 is actually one person, but technically speaking it’s a “they” since the suit was filed through his owned corporate entity Ronica Holding Limited, which presumably has at least one staff.
In this case, after Ronica sent Alham Benyameen of West Coast Vape Supply a cease and desist letter, the company complied and removed the similar logo. Deadmau5 is going on with the lawsuit anyway for past damages. We’re not normally ones to cheer for spiteful litigation, but in this case we’re happy to see a vape seller get thoroughly spanked for once, even if it’s a nicotine vape juice outfit.
Wrigley’s gum sued a vape brand manufacturer for similar brand names
Chalk up another tobacco vape juice company that has been slapped with a trademark infringement lawsuit. This time it was Wrigley Company vs. Chi-Town Vapers, which put out two brands of vape juice “Dbl Mint” and “Joosey Fruit” which imitate flavors of Wrigley chewing gum products.
The spokesman for Wrigley, a Mars, Incorporated subsidiary, really makes an impression with his statement to the media: “The use of popular candy brands in the marketing, sales and promotion of e-cigarettes is… grossly deceptive and irresponsible. We strongly condemn these actions, which are directly at odds with our anti-tobacco policy and our strict marketing standards.”
Yeah, you tell ’em, Wrigley!
Can we get some more justice for infringed brands around here?
We’ll be happy to pass along the story about any commercial companies that would like to take this opportunity to defend their trademark, copyright, or business or intellectual property against these unregistered cartridge brands. Any time one of these companies cares to say something is fine by me. Apparently, there are enough people out there being misled that there is a possible claim for damages in every case.
Krazy Glue vs. “kr8zy glue“ – Definitely one of the weirdest instances. Who looks at an industrial adhesive bond and says “I’ve got to inhale this”?
Marvel & D.C. Comics vs. “Boom Carts“ – Even though the name has nothing in common, Boom Carts packaging insists on including copyrighted cartoon characters. Not only is this completely pointless for selling THC vape oil, but the intent is also clearly to market to children. There’s Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Captain America, the Incredible Hulk, Venom, Joker, Harley Quinn, and Deadpool, just to name a few.
Seriously, a universally beloved character like Batman, and you want a little kid to vape some vitamin E acetate with his face on it?
Baskins Robbins vs. “31 Flavors“ – With this brand, it’s a tossup which company has the most claim to sue, because it violates multiple trademarks at once. Nabisco has some claims against the Oreo brand rip-off there. But the name of the whole brand, “31 flavors,” is the recognized slogan of Baskin Robbins ice cream company.
Hasbro vs. “Monopoly Carts“ – Here again, the actual cart packaging freely raids pop culture cartoon characters including Donald Duck, Richie Rich, Jessica Rabbit, the Pink Panther, Popeye, and many others. But we’ll settle for Hasbro, Inc., since they acquired Parker Brothers in 1991 and hence own the trademark to the classic family board game.
Disney vs. “Star Carts“ – Oh, I’m sorry, does one of the world’s biggest entertainment conglomerates not have the resources to go after infringement of one of the most popular film franchises of all time? Darth Vader’s ol’ shell head helmet is on every single package.
We could go on, but these are a starting point.
We have to do something about this
All kidding aside, these infringed brands and companies should sue, if for no other reason than to speak out for the public’s health. The vape lung injury crisis is still ongoing, with new users falling ill even into last month.
Alibaba Group seems to spend so much time in court, you’d think they have their own reserved parking there.
Something more has to be done
Nevertheless, it’s not enough litigation. We’re sick and tired of seeing impressionable young users ask us if they can trust a brand invoking Spider-Man or Oreo cookies. The least these companies could do is move to protect their own financial self-interest and brand image, at the same time scoring an advancement of public awareness in a matter of public health.
It would be nice to see corporate law do some good work sometimes.
Breaking down the G Pen Gio vape pod was pretty hard. Below is a picture of the results of that breakdown.
UPDATE 7/10/2020: The Gio pod has been updated to a wickless ceramic heating core. We’ll be updating this page with a new breakdown soon.
The breakdown of the Gio reveals it does have a ceramic core, but really you are hitting off a wire. This is some very old tech. The key to hitting the Gio properly is to not hit it too hard or you burn the wick as I did. Most people might be better off with a Stiiizy. See our full G Pen Gio review for more information.
Plug Play vape cartridges are only available around the Los Angeles area. This is not your typical vape pod cartridge system. Plug Play pods contain premium THC oil. It only takes one puff to experience an instant head change. The pod design provides a superb vaping experience backed with a lot of strength. Doing this Plug Play vape review was a consistently strong dabbing experience. Vaping is very smooth, and the pods are capable of emitting big vape clouds.
Update: March 8, 2018: Plug and Play has relabeled their brand to Plug Play vape
UPDATE 12/30/19: Plug Play now uses CannVerify on their products. See this post for updates on packaging and a demo shot of the CannVerify process.
UPDATE 9/11/2019: DISCLAIMER: In light of more recent news, it has become apparent that black market cartridges, counterfeit cartridges, and fake brands of cartridges have become more widespread than we had ever realized. We urge readers to apply their own discretion, and caution that at no point should readers assume that a review of a cartridge on our site is a guarantee of its safety. We advise readers to always verify their cartridges as coming from a legitimate source.
Design and build quality of Plug Play vape cartridges are brilliant!
These are ceramic heating based pods that make all the difference! Vaping performance is incredible! It feels closer to a dab rig more so than any other vape cartridge that I’ve tried. The ceramic heating gives a clean potent hit for each vape. The design of this vape pen conceals its THC oil pods for discreteness. Plug Play vape pods are very durable and resistant to breaking from drops because its made from plastic. No glass to crack.
There were some minor design flaws in our eyes that kept this vape pen from being 100% perfect. They are taking the Apple approach and trying to lock its customers into having to buy their charging cable if it’s lost.
The Plug Play vape cable originally was not a standard micro-USB charging cable. Update 7/24/2018: Charger is now standard micro-USB. It used to have pins that magnetically snap onto the vape pen. The battery fully charges within an hour and lasts a couple of days of heavy use which is the benefit of the cable. Most of us probably would have preferred to see USB-C (aka Thunderbolt) being used here, which is the new standard on Android devices, and charges faster than standard USB 3.0.
In our Kandypens Prism review, we found the lighting charging port to be a nice bonus. It’s nice to be able to find a cable cheap and easy, even if it is not for your phone type.
Updated 7/2018 – Plug and play made the switch to a micro USB charging connection.
Premium THC oil is outstanding and stronger than most.
The Plug Play vape pod packaging claims it pods are filled with grade A cannabis solventless extract. The THC oil is so thick that it does not move. The color of the THC oil is a beautiful gold transparent. This premium THC oil will set the standards for those lucky enough to try it. Those who are after THC strength are going to enjoy the many potent vape cartridge options available.
The strength of Plug Play THC oil is the strongest I have tried so far.
I underestimated the strength of the Plug Play vape cartridges. The packaging states these pods average from seventy to eighty percent of THC content. What surprised me was these vape pod cartridges felt more powerful than others I’ve tried that reported higher THC amounts. These felt stronger than Stiiizy pods that claim they are 85% THC. Limonene and other parts play an effect here as well.
I was lucky enough to try four different strains from Plug Play, and they all had consistently high strength. What I liked about Plug Play vape cartridges is not having to chase after the THC. After two good hits, I could get the full desired effects from the THC oil.
I was the biggest Stiiizy vape pen fan for the longest because of the THC oil strength proclaimed at 85% on average. When I first had Stiiizy last year, I remember the strength being out of this world. After being a loyal Stiiizy vape pen user, I notice the strength felt like it was getting weaker. Then pops up online an independent lab test on Stiiizy from Instagram user datdude41510 which revealed a lower percent of THC found, only 68% of THC was detected in the lab test for the Stiiizy Hardcore OG strain.
I have refilled Stiiizy pods and found that Stiiizy overall is a pesticide-free and good quality oil, but the strength really comes from the hardware and not the oil itself. Stiiizy has found its hardware match with Plug Play vape pods.
Plug Play cartridges have some delicious tasting recipes.
Plug Play created the perfect blend of clean and potent THC oil with just the right amount of added terpenes. The terpenes are just a hint making it not overwhelming at all and leaving more room for potency. Plug Play vape cartridges are outstanding with Fire OG being my favorite among the four I tried. My second favorite was the Pineapple with a very refreshing hint taste of pineapples. The Apple Slushie reminded me of a green apple jolly rancher. The Strawberry Campagne vape cart was also very nice. I found myself wanting more of as I came close to running out. I would buy all of these vape cartridge flavors again.
Efficiently is on another level for prefilled cartridges and pods.
There are no other vape cartridges or pods out there right now like Plug Play. The ceramic heating coils create smooth and potent hits similar to a dab rig. There is no burn on the throat from the vape from vaping Plug Play pods. It only takes one hit to feel a rush of THC transition you into being very high. The best example would be equivalent to smoking an entire joint of very high-quality indoor cannabis. The amount of time this vape cartridge system saves pays for itself. It just keeps getting better and better the improvement of vaping technology and ceramic heating coils were just the next logical step forward.
The number of puffs seem like a lot when you don’t need many.
The best thing about Plug Play is you do not need as much to feel medicated. I have a high tolerance and found myself needing only two full rips for a good quality session. Each puff will give a very strong effect so much that it’s almost unbelievable that it is coming from such a small device. A puff from Plug Play vape cartridges has much better airflow than other pods and cartridges I tried. It also had an excellent consistency for each puff without clogging like Stiiizy pods.
The Plug Play pods and vape pens are worth every cent!
This vaping brand offers the most convenience for vaping strong cannabis extract. The “Play” vape pen battery costs $20.00. The prefilled THC oil vape cartridges are called “Plug” and cost $55 on average for a full gram. We recommend this vaping set up for those who want an easy and the most efficient way to vape cannabis extract. The prefilled vape cartridges will keep you coming back for more! Let us know about your experience with this great vaping brand.
My number one recommendation before trying out Plug Play was the Stiiizy vape pen and their pods. I had spent well over a half a grand on Stiiizy pods as it became my number one go-to for my every day vaping use. There always felt like something was missing from Stiiizy pods and I found that with Plug Play. It is yet to see if this will be an exclusive oil pen form factor or if we will see it come out with other oil types. Thanks for checking out our Plug Play vape review. See our Reviews page for more vape cart reviews.

Here we’ll go over how to make shatter, wax and other concentrates into THC vape juice that can be vaped out of a standard e-cig. Also known as THC e juice, the process involves combining the concentrate with a diluent to make it thin enough to vape easily in an oil pen. This also is known as making your own THC cartridge. Shot out to diseage who made the original guide I used to make juice and that info helped to build this guide.
Items Needed For Converting Concentrate To e Juice
To make your cannabis e juice you need the following items: cannabis concentrate, diluent, terpenes, mixing container, syringes with needles or slim metal tips, a heating element, and a stirrer. Using these items you can make your own wax cartridge. Also known as an oil pen or vape pen cartridge.
Cannabis Concentrate Selection For Making THC Vape Juice
The following types of cannabis concentrate will work for making e juice: distillate, CO2 oil, live resin, sauce, shatter, and rosin. Shatter is the most commonly used for making THC vape juice. In fact, the first two do not need anything added.
Distillate – Easy To Fill If Viscous Enough
Distillate is often thin enough that it can be vaped directly out of an appropriate cartridge. You can mix terpenes into your distillate to add flavor. If you already have distillate that is not too thick skip this guide and get to refilling. Distillate and CO2 oil are similar but may have different extraction methods. Often CO2 oil is just referred to as CO2 distillate. Below is a picture of a distillate syringe. You will note it needs a metal tip in order to properly do the THC vape juice injection process listed as the last step.
Stiiizy pen is our top recommend for refilling. See our guide on how to fill a Stiiizy pod for more information. Filling regular vape cartridges is easy as well. Most just have a screw off top.
CO2 Oil – Also Easy To Fill If Viscous Enough
Another good straight-to-the-cart kind of oil. CO2 oil that is viscious enough can be put directly into a cartridge or pod and vaped. Below is a pic of a syringe from Organa Labs I used to refill a Stiiizy pod. Great quality oil by the way. Got it from NuLeaf Lake Tahoe.
Nothing additional is needed. You can add additional terpenes for flavor. I probably would not as I rather have it be stronger than better tasting.
First I will stop here and say the above two methods are most preferred by us here at DabConnection. Getting a syringe of distillate is even slightly preferred over CO2 oil as it tends to taste bee above two concentrate types is also the easiest. Consider this: adding terpenes or anything else means less overall strength. We tend to go for the strongest, but some may prefer more flavor. Liqudizers and the like are great products for people that do not have access to regular distillate. If you have access, regular distillate is often going to be stronger.
Making e Juice With BHO Concentrates And Similar Waxes
Butane Honey Oil (“BHO“) concentrate, in the form of shatter or crumble, are the most popular concentrates that are diluted to make e Juice. Live resin, sauce, shatter, and similar concentrates, whether made through solvents or solventless, use the same mixing process as BHO to make THC e Juice.
There are two additional steps that may be difficult, but will help produce the best result. Decarbing your BHO can help it from getting crystalized in the cartridge later. Dewaxing BHO can help remove residual solvents and pieces of plant matter. This will make the vape run smoother and less likely to get clogged, but may be too advanced for the everyday user.
Diluent To Liquefy The THC Concentrate
There are a few different options out there for a diluent to turn your shatter (or other concentrate) into e juice. The easiest way is to get a pre-made diluent from places WaxLiquidizer or Shatter Batter. This option is preferred by many because it is easy. ANother great option that is completely terpene based is VISCOSITY Extract Luiquifier.
Now some want to go get their cannabis e juice exactly how they want it, and in that case they can use their own diluent and add terpenes. Other common diluents are: Propylene Glycol (PG), Vegetable Glycerin (VG), Polyethylene Glycol (PEG),Medium Chained Triglycerides and Fractionated Coconut oil.
Terpenes: Cannabis-based If You Can Get It
Terpenes is the part of your THC e Juice setup that adds flavor. There are terpenes that are made from cannabis and those that are made from other sources. The cannabis ones are harder to get, but they are better if you can.
Terpenes are denseley concentrated and should be added minimally to your THC e Juice mix. Two popular terpene makes are Holy Terp and True Terpenes. Holy Terp does need to get an SSL certificate though, it is better security for credit card transactions.
Mixing Container
Use a glass that is very small. A shot glass will do the trick. If you use a larger glass, use one that has a curved bottom so everything gets concentrated to the center when you make THC vape juice.
Syringes With Slim Metal Or Needle Tips
You will need syringes that have that slim metal tip or are a needle in order to properly suck up then inject the concentrate e Juice into a vape cartridge or pod. Take a look at the tip I put on the syringe below.
In its place you can use a shot glass in a pot of boiling water.
Stirring Device
A glass stirring rod is the preferred item here. A cleaned off dab tool will do the job as well. A stainless steel stick of some sort will also work.
Cartridge Or Pod To Put The THC Vape Juice Into
You can choose either a standard 510 threaded vape cartridge setup or a pod style setup to get put your THC e juice into once it is done. The most common 510 carts are CCELL style.
There are quite a few pod systems out there, so far the best we have used is the Stiiizy pen. The Kandypens Rubi and its cheaper unbranded counterparts are also popular options. We found in our Pax Era pods review that it is not the optimal system with the wick that gets too burny, but it can be used as well. Make sure your syringe tip can fit your cart as well.
Making The THC Vape Juice
Now that you got the materials together, we can get into making the juice itself. There are some variations on best practices and you may slightly alter your methods or mixes as time goes on. If you learn anything new, please do add it in the comments and we will try it out and update the post.
Mixing Concentrate, Diluent, and Terpenes
This is a process that you will get better at over time. Depending on the concentrate used you may need to go a little hotter or a little colder. You might need a little more diluent or a little less. You will get the hang of it as you go.
Heating Up
Place your concentrate into your mixing container. Place it on top of your heating element. Heat the concentrate until it reaches a liquid state. Keep it at a lower power range that maintains that liquid state. Terpenes and THC will begin to vaporizer at about 315 Fahrenheit (156.67 Celsius), so it is recommended to keep it lower than that.
Mixing In And Ratios
Once the concentrate is in a liquid state you can mix in your terpenes and diluent. Remember terpenes are concentrates so use a small amount. The ratio of diluent to concentrate will vary based on the thickness of the concentrate. If it is a particular diluent made for concentrates, ask the maker of the diluent. You can also see this Reddit discussion on mixing and ratios. Stir thoroughly while it is still heated up using your stir tool.
Let the concentrate cool off and see if it stays viscous enough to be used in a vape cart. It does not need to be as thin as regular ejuice. If it seems to thick, reheat and add more diluent. If you are not sure on thickness, you can try a little bit in the cart then go back and add more if needed. The more diluent you add, the weaker it gets, so less diluent but still hitting well is a better result for most.
Inject Into Your Cartridge Or Pod
The last thing to do is suck the juice up in a syringe and inject into your cartridge or pod. Most cartridges and pods just require that you remove the mouthpiece to inject it. After that you can get to vaping. Have something to add about making THC vape juice? Please post in the comments below. We will try it then add it if it works!
The following data and information show the test results of brands of prefilled vape pen cartridges also known as oil pens. Pesticides are a constant issue in these cartridges and strength is often incorrectly claimed. These tests are both for pesticides and residual solvents. Please note that the results are those taken at the date listed on the test. Testing is becoming mandatory in more states so in the future many of these same vapes may be clean or already be clean now.
Much thanks to @dat_dude41510, @dankbustersofficial (deleted account), @dabpengod2, and @thedojaapp on Instagram for allowing us to use their test results and starting awareness about this. We are including other test results as they become available. Cartridges’ results will be in alphabetical order by brand name. The FAIL indicates a fail on pesticides. Strength was also tested, but that can vary slightly test to test, so we did not put a FAIL if only strength was off. The cartridges tested are from California. A full list of cartridges that tested clean from this list is listed at the bottom of this page. We have recently partnered with cannabis lab consultants Digamma Consulting to provide more tests and should have these results up soon.
710 King Pen fails the test for pesticides. See our full 710 King Pen review.
Alpine Vapor Pesticides Test – FAIL
Below is the full sheet of results for Alpine Vapor showing strength tested as well. You will see it comes in pretty weak at 33% THC. This is the Skywalker OG cartridge.
Alpine Vapor has been in the game a long time, we expected better. See our full Alpine Vapor review.
Apex Labs Pesticides Test – FAIL
Here we have the lab result for Apex Labs – Tangie Sativa cartridge. Beware of this cartridge because this is one of the dirtiest that is out there. The result shows positive for 9 pesticides over the legal CA limit. Check more here.
Bloom Farms Vape Pesticides Test – PASS
Bloom farms test on 12/05/2017 came up clean. See below.
Bloom came out with a new test published on the back of their cartridge. Passed for pesticides. See below.
It is good to see things are turning around for Bloom Brands, but we do keep a record of previous tests, as shown below.
Glad they came through clean recently. The oil came up dirty for pesticides in this test on 12/20/2017. At least it is pretty strong. Bloom Brands is not to be confused with Bloom Farms below, which tested clean.
Brass Knuckles Pesticides Test – Current PASS, Previous FAIL
Brass Knuckles has had their vape oil tested two times since and have passed. SC Labs is being sued in the Brass Knuckles lawsuit. Currently, Brass Knuckles has switched testing providers and that information is shown below. There are other tests as well, but they passed too, so we are showing one for simplicity.
Current Passing Test
Previous Failing Test
Brass Knuckles vapes have been exposed for pesticides before, but now it is passing which is great! They taste good and deliver good strength. Check out our Brass Knuckles review for more info.
CaliCarts Pesticides Test – FAIL
A warning to anyone planning to get this black market cartridge. This CaliCarts tested positive for 19 pesticides. It also tested positive for Lead and Mercury but within CA legal limits. Just don’t risk your health on this one.
And here’s the alarming lab result.
California Dab Company Pesticides and Residual Solvents Test – FAIL
California Dab Company’s Cannabis Infused Vape Cartridge – Sour Apple will do good with its 67.5% strength. Unfortunately, we all have to be wary specially if we still have to know whether the company is licensed or not.
Below test result shows 67.5% THC content.
Tested positive to contain 7 CAT 1&2 pesticide, would you still sesh on it?
Cap’n Crunch Pesticide and Heavy Metal Test – FAIL
We have here a lab test result from BelCosta Labs for the Cap’n Crunch – Blueberry Pancake Crunch. This one failed the Pesticides test.
Cereal Carts Pesticides and Strength Test – FAIL
Cereal Carts have provided official lab results with images of the actual cartridge, Honey Nut Cheerios.
Dank Vapes Jack Herer Pesticides and Strength Test – FAIL, Additional Result For Hardcore OG – FAIL
Again we’ve looked into test results of Dank Vapes and we have the new packaging shown below. As the test showed below, it came out dirty and was tested positive for 1 pesticide over the CA legal limit.
Keep in mind that there is no ‘real’ Dank vape company. Anyone can buy this packaging online and fill it themselves.
It also tested positive for LEAD but within the CA legal limit. FENHEXAMID – is a synthetic floral fungicide that is used to control plant pathogens. Fenhexamid exposure is detrimental to respiratory systems, digestive tract, muscular system, and the central nervous system. This synthetic fungicide may also induce severe eye and skin irritations.
Update: Below we have another lab result for the Dank Vapes Hardcore OG. This one also failed the test for pesticides, showing 11 pesticides that are outside the CA legal limit. Check for yourself:
Dank Vapes Pesticides and Strength Test – FAIL
Dank Vapes pesticides result is finally out however it should be stated that there aren’t any pictures to show the actual item. Only direct lab results are shown below.
The Dank Vapes strength test is shown below.
The results shown above came from PSI Labs through Permafrostlabs. Although it should be noted that no pictures of the actual items tested were shown. There’s a big chance they tested a fake Dank cartridge as they are made available everywhere. It’s really hard for us to verify this test yet.
Dank Vapes Pesticides and Strength Test – PASS
So I went straight ahead to PSI Labs and here’s the result from their website. Also, shoutout to Zack for pointing this out.
Below is a screenshot from PSI’s page showing Dank Vapes’ King Louie test result. Results showed 65.15% total THC.
Below shows the indication of a pesticide-free concentrate.
Dark Hawk Pesticides and Strength Test – FAIL
Dark Hawk lab results show that it is pretty weak at 70.66% THC. It also failed for 2 different pesticides. We have here a picture of Dark Hawk.
Here we can see the lab results for Dark Hawk – Ice Cream.
Delta 9 Pesticides and Residual Solvents Test – previous FAIL / Deltamax 2.0 PASS
Delta 9’s vape cartridges came in pretty strong at 76.5%. However, they failed for 5 different pesticides. Below is a picture of what a Delta 9 vape cartridge looks like.
Below are the strength and residual solvents test. Delta 9 passed the residual solvents test.
Pesticides are shown below for Delta 9 in the test results.
Deltamax 2.0 Pesticides Test – PASS
We have here the Deltamax 2.0 – Strawberry AK passing the pesticide test. This is expected as per @dojaapp since its coming from a fully licensed dispensary in CA.
DynaPuff Pesticides Test – FAIL
DynaPuff came in dirty for a wide range of pesticides in their test. See below.
The strength test for DynaPuff was very surprising. It came in super weak with a 16% cannabinoid profile.
Eden Extracts Carts Pesticides Test – PASS
On our recent review on Eden Extracts we’ve discussed how Eden stands out from the crowd in so many ways. From its incredibly high-quality distillate and amazingly good in-house designed cartridges. Below, you’ll see the test result for Eden Extracts.
Eden came out strong and clean as shown on the test results below. It’s great they are keeping everything clean and the strength is the same as it says on the packaging.
ExoticCarts Pesticides Test – FAIL, Additional Result FAIL
Exotic Carts testing result is out. One of the most popular vape cartridges right now and widely pirated. Tested positive for 13 pesticides under Category 1&2. A cartridge with this much contaminants, would you still try it?
Here’s the pesticides test results of Exotic Carts. As datdude41510 mentioned, a THC profile wouldn’t matter for a stuff that pops out at least 13 different pesticides and fungicides.
Flavorz Pesticide Test – FAIL
Flavorz lab results show very negative here, displaying for 16 pesticides and lead over the La legal limit.
FlavRx Pesticides Test – FAIL, Additional Result FAIL
FlavRx came out with weak and dirty cartridges. It comes in at less than 60% THC. No extra charge for the pesticides. It should be noted that FlavRx also has cartridges in Nevada, and there if it tests dirty they don’t sell. So it might still be safe to vape in NV.
Update: We have here another lab result from their old packaging. This one is for the Gorilla Glue. Unfortunately, this one also failed for pesticides test. It shows that it contains 3 pesticides that are over the CA legal limit. Below is the lab result.
Update: FlavRx has recently rebranded to Flav. Check out our Flav cartridge review for more information.
Flight Farms Pesticides Test – Pass
Datdute41510 tested this and came out clean. When the actual test shot is available we will post it as well.
At 81% cannabinoids, Flight Farms came in strong and clean.
Friendly Farms Residual Solvent Test – PASS
Here we have a lab result for Friendly Farms that shows it passed the Residual Solvent test. The only thing that bothers us is that it contains 2066.67 ppm of n-Butane. Its still within CA legal limit of 5000 ppm per gram but still, this is somewhat alarming.
See the lab result below:
Heavy Hitters Pesticides Test – FAIL, Additional Result PASS
Heavy Hitters came in fairly strong at 71% THC. Pesticides not looking good though. The test is of the Girl Scout Cookies strain vape cart.
Another disappointment as HH is pretty strong and seemed like a good value. See our in-depth Heavy Hitters review for more info.
Adding to this another product from Heavy Hitters was tested, it is the Sky Walker OG and the bad news is, the pesticide test failed. Although it has a good amount of THC on it Heavy Hitters should make it safe as well. You may check the results below.
Below is the disappointing result of the most recent pesticides and solvents test. Heavy Hitters fails again.
We have another addition of one most recent pesticide test for HH. This time they got a PASS for the Northern Lights – Indica strain. Hopefully, this will continue with their coming products.
Heliosphere Solutions Heavy Metal Test – PASS
Here we have a Heavy Metal Test result for the Heliosphere Solution – Sour Tsunami Glass. They’re one of the promising brands to look for this 2020. Check the result here:
Himalaya Pesticides Test – Pass
Himalaya has a wide variety of cartridges from different strains, to name a few they are the Strawberry Cough and Super Silver Haze from the Sativa strain. Below you will see the THC and Pesticide tests of the two featured cartridges.
You can check the test for your self to prove that the cartridges are made safe and has enough strength.
Himalaya Rattlesnake Diesel Pesticides Test- Pass
Himilaya is a small batch company reigning from norcal, creating strain specific, clean meds at affordable prices. Previously we had a test result of Himalaya Vapor and it came out clean. Again, Himalaya has proven itself and still came out clean through all the tests made.
Results show active cannabinoids with THC: 78.2% CBG: 2.2%, CBC .8%, CBD .28%. Also it’s tank construction is made out of glass and ceramic manufactured by ikrusher . This oil is some of the best you’ll ever try. This Company uses cannabis derived only terpenes, and zero terpene diluents or solvents. They source norcal outdoor flower, and extract it themselves, and refine it for a cartridge.
Honey Cut Pesticides Test- PASS
40% distillate? there’s an official COA on this bullshit from belcostalabs now. but have all the compounds found in this diluting agent been tested for what they may turn into when heated?
Cartridges put out temperatures of over 350 degrees Fahrenheit. That intense blast of heat can change the chemical structure of some compounds. such as a common pesticide: myclobutanil that turns into hydrogen cyanide when burned.
so thehoneycut where’s the ingredients list?
HoneyVape Pesticides Test – Pass
Still looking for the original test and will add when available.
Hitone Pesticides Test – FAIL
Hitone is a brand out of the L.A. area.
Besides failing the pesticides test, the oil is not super weak at 63% THC.
Ignite Sunset Sherbet Cartridge Pesticides Test – PASS
Ignite Cannabis Co. makes cartridges, nugs and pre rolls. Their Sunset Sherbet vape cart has been tested and came out clean of pesticides. However, we are unable to show its cannabinoid profile and residual solvent results.
The test results below show Ignite’s Sunset Sherbet is totally clean from pesticides.
Interstate 710 Pesticides Test – PASS
One of the few to pass! THC not super strong, but I would take clean over strong any day.
This brand might not be available everywhere, but they do come up clean.
Jetty Extracts Pesticides Test – PASS
Jetty Extracts comes away with some clean stuff that also is strong.
The THC content was advertised at 3% higher. However, this is a small enough variation within reason. Would like to try Jetty oil in a Stiiizy style setup.
Kingpen Pesticides and Heavy Metal Test – Current FAIL, Previous PASS
Kingpen claims that their oils are distilled 5 times to ensure that it passes tests. The lab results that we have here are for their Jack Herer strain, which is named after the renowned marijuana activist, Jack Herer. Combining a Haze hybrid with a Northern Lights #5 and Shiva Skunk cross, Sensi Seeds created Jack Herer hoping to capture both the cerebral elevation associated with sativas and the heavy resin production of indicas. Its rich genetic background gives rise to several different variations of Jack Herer, each phenotype bearing its own unique features and effects. However, consumers typically describe this 55% sativa hybrid as blissful, clear-headed, and creative.
As shown in the lab results below, KP Jack Herer passed for heavy metals. There were no issues with the THC profile coming at 82.075%. It was slightly higher than what the product claims, which is 70%.
The heavy metal testing shows all passed results.
Here we have the lab result for KP Super Lemon Haze and KP Gelato cartridge. These are black market cartridges that’s why we cannot test it for Pesticide and Heavy Metals. But if you will see the result, both of them has a Total THC that is not close to what they claim in the box.
Korova Super Silver Haze – PASS
This test result came was shared to us by Korova. The test results show that Korova Super Silver Haze came off clean and strong. As you can see in the summary, Korova passed in all types of tests. It has a total cannabinoids of 91.95%. Total THC is 86.94% which is pretty strong.
To know more about this product, check out our review on Korova cartridges.
Kurvana Vape Pesticides Test – Current FAIL, Previous PASS
So, this test result was pulled out from Kurvana’s website. The test lab results show it tested positive on cumene and o-xylene. As per Wikipedia, “The main effect of inhaling xylene vapor is depression of the central nervous system (CNS), with symptoms such as headache, dizziness, nausea and vomiting. At an exposure of 100 ppm, one may experience nausea or a headache. At an exposure between 200-500 ppm, symptoms can include feeling “high”, dizziness, weakness, irritability, vomiting, and slowed reaction time.”
Previously, Kurvana’s test results came off strong and clean. The test below was of the Blueberry strain vape cart.
Kurvana’s ASCND line shows great promise. Coming with an impressively strong with 87.95% cannabis content. See the test results below.
See our full Kurvana vape review here.Should be noted that’s a review of the original Kurvana. Newer versions are supposed to be better.
LA Kush Pesticides Test – Previous PASS, Recently FAIL
LA Kush comes from the same makers of Flight Farms. Good strength at 79% and it passed clean for pesticides on the original test. New tests now show it coming up dirty.
Below is the new test results for strength pesticides for LA Kush. It came out pretty weak for THC content, but it did pass for solvents.
Below is the pesticides test for LA Kush. This time it failed.
Unfortunately, LA Kush went from a previous pass to a fail.
Lion Extracts Pesticides Test – FAIL
Lion Extracts will give you a good hit at 72% THC. But, never good when it gives you pesticides as well.
Mario Carts Pesticides Test – Previous FAIL, Additional Result FAIL
A new product is added here and it is the Mario Carts Strawberry Pie. But sadly the pesticide test failed. And for the THC content, we will consider it as low at nearly 70%. To check it yourself here are the results below.
Here is the result of the pesticide test.
THC content…well a bit low for the strength.
Well, let see if Mario Carts will improve their cartridges.
Update: Here we have an additional lab result for Mario Carts Skunk OG. Not only that this one failed the pesticide test again, the result also shows that this one contains Lead that is 33 times the legal limit allowed by CA Law.
Health is always a choice. We don’t want to force you on what to smoke, we’re just here for you to be informed.
Mimosa Exotic Carts Pesticides Test – FAIL
Here we have a lab result for the exotic cart “Mimosa”. This cart tested positive for 9 pesticides of which 4 were over the CA legal limit.
Let’s see the breakdown of its lab result here:
You will see below all the types of pesticides found on the said sample of cart.
MKX Sunset Sherbet Cart Pesticides Test- FAIL
The Midknightxpress brand is not safe. As shown on the test on the second page by PSI Labs, this cart has failed it’s test. And the thing is they’ve been producing products since 2017.
Here’s the test result by PSI Labs which gives us proof and reason to stay away from this brand.
Moxie Pesticides Test – FAIL
This was surprising. Moxie is known for making exceptional quality extracts. Turns out they have pesticides in them, as Moxie failed the pesticides test. This is a California cart Luckily, we used a Nevada cartridge in our Moxie cartridge review. In NV they do batch testing, so Moxie is probably still safe over there.
Strength test for Moxie came out good with a 77% cannabinoid profile. Still would not hit it if its dirty though. They also should update their cartridge style.
NUJ Premium Jack – PASS
The pesticide test was done on the Jack Herer strain of NUG. Fortunately, they passed the lab test. There were five tests done it total for this. NUG Premium Jack has a strength of 68.23% which is pretty good. It contains 64.78% THC. See the full test results below.
Good thing that it also passed the test for solvents.
Another test that was done was for chemical residues. NUG passed on that area as well.
Go and check out our NUG Vape Cartridge review for more information on this brand and what we thought of it.
OCPharms Pesticide Test – FAIL
OCPharms fails for five pesticides and it’s strength is a joke. Not that much more THC than regular weed.
Here are the test results:
Platinum Vape Pesticides Test – Fail Currently, Previous Fail
One of the most requested vapes to get tested. Platinum Vape Michigan lab test result is out. Sorry Platinum Vape users but your favorite has tested dirty.
Update: We have contacted Platinum Vape to see if they actually carry a VFire pod.
Below is PV’s pesticides analysis showing they are positive with contaminants.
Second round of test for Platinum Vape. This time Sour Apple and Fruit Punch varieties got tested. Big thanks to Herb & Legend for posting these results.
These Platinum Vape cartridges were purchased from a licensed dispensary in Northern Michigan. Please below the lab results.
Platinum Vape positive with pesticides the second time around.
Plug and Play Vape Pesticide Test – Pass
Plug and Play Vape pods had a good amount of THC at nearly 79%. You may want to check out our Plug and Play vape review. Below is the strength test.
The second page shows that the Plug and Play OG is safe.
PMO (Pure Michigan Oil) Pesticides Test – FAIL
Pure Michigan Oil vape cartridges have been around some time in 2018. They’re on the low end of THC strength based on the results below.
Below test results show contamination of 2 pesticides.
Pop Carts Pesticides Test – FAIL
I have not encountered this cartridge and no one has requested for Pop Kart to get tested. Anyway, remember Pop Kart pops pesticides!
Potters Cannabis Co Pesticide Test – PASS
Potters Cannabis Co recently changed their formula to a stronger THC percentage. 80.3% is good! We will be updating our Potters cartridge review soon. The first page is the strength test.
The second page of the report shows the results of the pesticides test. Potters is clean.
The last page is the lab certifying the tests.
Potters Cannabis Co comes through strong and clean.
Private Reserve Pesticides Test – FAIL
This Brass Knuckles look-alike tested positive for Myclobutanil which converts to Hydrogen Cyanide when heat is applied. Please beware! This is straight poison.
Here’s the lab result that shows other pesticides present in this cart:
Raw Garden Dosi Punch x Clementine Cartridge – PASS
Raw Garden released this Dosi Punch x Clementine creating a very interesting terpene profile which has a total Cannabinoids of 93.59%! Raw Garden also came out clean and free from pesticides.
This hits hard and has the perfect high in it, well that explains the 87.29% THC content, 4.8% CBG and terpenes totalling at 5.9%.
Raw Garden Lime Mojito Pesticide Test – PASS
Raw Garden Lime Mojito cartridge came strong at 87.71 total active Cannabinoids and also free from pesticides which is great!
The second page shows the test results where Raw Garden Lime Mojito cartridge came out clean and free from pesticides. The test also shows the result of 80.65% of THC and 3.33% of THCV which is impressive.
Red Dragon Extracts Pesticides Test – FAIL
The Red Dragon Extracts cartridges tested positive for 5 pesticides… 3 of which were ABOVE THE CA LEGAL LIMIT. Below are the test results.
Rove Vape Pesticide Test – PASS
In our Rove cart review we found some strong, thick oil. Well turns out it really is strong and it is free from pesticides.
The few, the proud, the clean. Rove is delivering quality and decent strength at 70% THC. In Addition to this a test was made with Rove Featured Farms and it is not a surprise that it is strong and safe.
Below are the Pesticide test result.
And here is the THC content test…
Savage Sticks Pesticides Test – FAIL
Savage Sticks Wedding Cake and God’s Gift varieties lab results are out. Both popped pesticides.
Savage Sticks Gods Gift tested positive with Myclobutanil – 20x more than the limit set by Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
Select Oil Pesticides Test- PASS
See our Select Oil vape review. The Select Elite cartridge was used in this test and it came out clean. Strength was decent too.
In addition to this, another product from Select Elite cartridge has taken the test and passed, it is the Select Elite Island Sweet Skunk. Below you will see the results of the test for pesticides and thc content of this said cartridge.
The test for pesticides came out that it is safe to use.
And for the THC content… You will not regret it, it has a very good amount in it.
Sure thing that the Select Elite cartridges are doing good.
Solace Pesticides Test – FAIL
Here we have a lab test result for Solace cartridges. It tested positive for 5 pesticides but only 1 came in over the CA legal limit. Stay healthy and remember that your health is always a choice!
Lab result shows that it contains Bifenazate – this is sold under the name Floramite used to control mites. In our industry, it’s commonly used to control spider mites.
Space Vape Test – PASS
As shown below. Space Vape came out at with a positive test. Passing with 91% THC as well as being pesticide free.
Stiiizy Pesticides Test – Previous PASS, Now FAIL For Benzene
The latest Stiiizy test failed for Benzene, which is a solvent. See the below results.
That’s pretty disappointing. Stiiizy seemed like a really good product.
This vape might be more about its delivery system than the strength of its oil, but it does hit stronger than anything else we have tried as far as prefilled THC carts go.
Stiiizy does pretty well and out of the box hits very strong. See our full Stiiizy review for more information.
Suicide Girls Pesticides Test – FAIL
Pretty strong at 70% THC, but it does not make up for the pesticides in it.
Supernova Pesticides and Heavy Metal Test – Current PASS, Previous PASS
Here we have the lab result for Supernova – Maui Wowie strain. It passed both categories of pesticide and heavy metal testing.
We now have here the lab result for Supernova – Green Apple OG. It tested positive for 2 pesticides. Even though they’re not carcinogenic, they should still not be having them on their carts.
Below shows the lab result for Supernova – Peach Dream. This one passed the pesticide test unlike the previous one. We hope that they stay consistent with what they do on their products.
We have another lab result entry here for Supernova – Dosi Mango. This also shows that Supernova is already being consistent with what they do since this one also passed the pesticide test.
Updated 01/27/2020: Here’s another addition to Supernova’s consistent performance on passing the pesticide test. We have here a lab result for Supernova – Mandarin Cookies.
Supreme G Extracts Lab Test – Current PASS, Previous FAIL
The latest lab test results for Supreme now passed this time around. The tests show no pesticides, all pure THC content. See the updated test results below.
It was bad that Supreme G Extracts were called out before for faking test results. Hopefully, this is now a chance for them to redeem themselves.
Below are the fake lab results that Supreme G Extracts posted this lab result. The reason why we tagged them as FAIL the last time.
Supreme G Extracts posted this lab result. It’s fake so we tagged this result as FAIL.DatDude4510 – “So supreme posted some test results from Steep hill showing that they have clean product. Here’s the problem when contacted not only did Steep hill say the batch #’s were invalid, they went on to state that they’ve never tested supreme.”
Supreme G Extracts Lab Test – Current PASS, Previous Pass
This is the current lab test for Supreme. Again, the tests show no pesticides, all pure THC content. See the updated test results below.
test shows that they still keep everything cleanHere’s the Concentrate:
It’s a good thing that they keep everything clean. We hope that they keep up the good work and for those who want to know more about their carts, you can check out our review here.
Supreme Hybrid Pesticides Test – FAIL
Supreme brand may sound interesting but for its cartridge the Supreme Hybrid there is a different story. A test was conducted and the result is not good for the safety of the consumers. Below you can see the test results.
Check this out this is the Pesticides test.
For the THC content, let’s say that it needs some improvements.
Let us hope that Supreme will improve its cartridge.
THClear Vape Pesticides Test – FAIL
Strength is OK, pesticides are not OK.
The Clear Pesticides and Residual Solvents Test – PASS
The Clear with their Classic Variety in Golden Goat flavor cleared on any pesticides. Only problem is it might not be strong enough to a regular user with sub 50% Total Cannabinoids. Check out the product below.
Below is the strength and residual solvents test. The Clear with 48.9% total.
The Clear cleared on pesticides. See results below.
The Clear came out clean without any trace of Category 1 & 2 pesticides but might be too weak for regular users. I’d say to each his own as some want to last the whole day vaping while some choose to puff with instant big hits.
The House Brand Pesticides Test – FAIL
This vape pen called “The House Brand” failed the pesticide test. This is another Myclo-infused pen. It tested positive for 5 pesticides and FAILED for MYCLOBUTANIL. By now, we should all know and be aware that when heated it converts to Hydrogen Cyanide. See below the lab results:
Treebase Klear Pesticides Test – FAIL
Strength not too bad at 62% THC. Dirty on the pesticides.
VVS Vape Pen Pesticides Test – FAIL
VVS does come in with some really strong THC. The delivery system of its dispoable battery is what made it seem so weak in our VVS vape pen review. 83% THC is the highest on this list.
Waky Willy Pesticide Test – FAIL
Waky Wily Sunset Sherbert tested negative, with a low of 59% THC and with 4 different pesticides.
WVapes Pesticides Test – FAIL
Strength is decent for WVapes. Below is the pesticide test.
Being pesticide-free is more important than being strong, but dirty is dirty.
Meet The Clean Team
The following cartridges came out clean in alphabetical order:
Bloom Farms, Brass Knuckles, Flight Farms, HoneyVape, Interstate 710, Jetty Extracts, Kurvana, Potter’s Cannabis Co., Raw Garden, Rove, Select Oil, Space Vape, Supernova, Supreme G, The Clear and Rove.
Cartridges that were clean and then later tested dirty:
Kurvana Vape, LA Kush, Stiiizy
These are California cartridges that were tested. States with strict testing laws may not have these same issues. These tests are from random cartridges by the above brands and it does not mean all their cartridges are dirty or all the above are clean. If you have any additional testing data you would like to submit, please post on our forum!
Brass Knuckles and 710 King Pen are two of the most popular THC oil cartridge brands out today. We already have in depth reviews of Brass Knuckles and 710 King Pen cartridges individually. Here we put these prefill cartridges head to head. See who wins the battle of Brass Knuckles vs 710 King Pen.
Brass Knuckles vs 710 King Pen – Brass Knuckles Takes The Win!
Brass Knuckles Vape Cartridge Overall Score: 8.6
710 King Pen Vape Cartridge Overall Score: 8.4
THC cart brands better than Brass Knuckles and 710 King Pen
Here are some brands in California we rate higher than both BK and 710 KP:
BK is also in Nevada, so if you are there, check out Roots and Kabunky. They are NV only brands, but both are substantially better. Roots might even be the best in the country.
Brass Knuckles Beats 710 King Pen On Most Categories, Especially Strength and Taste
Most of our readers are looking for the strongest hits with good flavor. Design and Build quality is also important, but most of us would take a stronger vape over just having better build quality. Overall, Brass Knuckles edges out 710 King Pen as a better THC vape cartridge. See main Brass Knuckles’ website here. However, you should check out our Stiiizy review and see why we name that the strongest vape cartridge currently out there.
So, here’s the scoop on this vape – it’s a bit of a splurge, I won’t lie. Clocking in at $31, plus those pesky California taxes that hit harder than a wave in Long Beach, it ain’t exactly cheap. But hey, sometimes you gotta treat yourself, right?
Now, onto the good stuff. This vape? It’s the bomb dot com. Seriously, I was smitten. My only wish? That it came in a bigger size, ’cause let’s be real, 0.33ml just ain’t gonna cut it for us hardcore enthusiasts.
This blend consists of a classic super sativa: Green Crack, infused with a 3:1 ratio of energizing THCV.
Hardware is top notch
But let’s talk hardware – it’s legit top-tier. Pair it with an energy drink and you’re cruising on cloud nine, my friend.
Remember back in the day when every Tom, Dick, and Harry was slinging fake Heavy Hitters carts? Yeah, those were dark times. But fear not, ’cause this here is the real deal – premium stuff through and through.
Now, onto a little comparison. I’ve gotta say, LA carts just don’t hit the same as the ones you find in Las Vegas. Except for a select few, and you better believe Heavy Hitters is on that shortlist.
So there you have it – if you’re in the market for a vape that’s gonna knock your socks off, Heavy Hitters is where it’s at. Just be prepared to shell out a few extra bucks for the privilege.
You can find out more about the Heavy Hitters products here.
Have you tried this vape? Let us know in the comments or on our forum.
A while back we covered the new vape hardware ODM/OEM company Artrix and their latest vape cartridge, the Artrix Drillor. At the time we teased that more hardware would be coming from Artrix to demo soon. That opportunity has finally come to pass, with FOUR new vape unit hardware designs. I should mention, this review today won’t be of much interest to the endpoint consumer. But if you’re in the cannabis vape oil business, you’re in the right place and the right time to get the scoop on an amazing line of vape hardware.
So, we’ll be showcasing four battery vape designs with some new tricks:
Each of those links go to the respective pages at Artrix’ site. We don’t know pricing plans on these, but we do know that Artrix advertises a 3-in-1 hardware + marketing + strategy support for businesses. Artrix went all-out sending us these display case units which clearly are also their stock for conventions and exhibitions. We have a lot of exciting things to do with cannabis oil here, so let’s get started.
Again, Artrix even sent us pre-filled samples (basic CBD oil) just so we could puff them all and confirm they work as designed. All the models we tried have clear airflow, deliver full flavor and effects, and don’t overheat, despite their small size. All but the Demo are USB-C rechargeable. All four models are draw-activated, with an economical, minimalist design.
Fitty – Stiiizy Pod Compatible
If you’ve seen Stiiizy pod systems, this is pretty much a Stiiizy alternative for both battery and pod. You can swap these back and forth with other pods, seated with the same magnetic grip. We’re guessing that most extractors will be more interested in the pods than the battery, since any old Stiiizy they have lying around will do.
Sip – Lightweight Oilpen
Not only are these units handsome and sturdy, but they deliver 300mAh and a smooth draw. They’re rechargeable, even though with the standard 1ml oil capacity, that won’t come into play often, but a nice feature to have.
Cubox – Snug Tank Vape
Here we have Artrix’ take on the vape tank. This bulkier model takes up to 2ml. The window there shows a lot of oil. For a vape tank, these still feel very lightweight. They work good and look good.
Demo – Sample-Size 7-Puff Microvape
Finally we have the Demo, which, as its name suggests, is aimed at providing a sample-sized amount of oil (0.1ml) in the smallest possible draw-activated vape. And seriously, this thing’s like the size of a stick of gum. This is actually a cool idea, for trying out small samples of oil before you buy. Artrix bills this as “the world’s smallest vape,” and I can very well believe that.
Artrix is a name to watch for in vape hardware
From seeing their innovative designs combined with down-to-earth practicality, I can tell that I’ll be seeing Artrix hardware again in the future. Readers who extract, package, or distribute cannabis oil: What do you look for in your vape hardware? Let us know in the comments below or in our forum.
d As we preach and preach here at Dab Connection, vapers should avoid the black market when it comes to carts. Fake carts are everywhere and show no sign of stopping. But that’s not you, dear reader! You’re a smart cookie who only buys from legit, licensed, vetted sources. You don’t touch a cart without a dispensary sticker on it. So now if the cart just didn’t live up to your expectations, what do we blame that on now?
Even legit companies can get cannabis oil extraction wrong. This is, after all, a developing industry scarcely a decade old since the first recreational legalization. The cannabis industry is suffering from several conflicting forces, such as spotty legalization and lack of standards, plus quite a few entrepreneurs who are discovering that this weed business is more complicated than they thought it would be.
If you purchase a vape cartridge from a dispensary and it’s a dud, you have every right to go back with your receipt and at least ask for an exchange. At least that’s how it should work. But in any case, if you notice any of the following quality issues consistently with the same distributor (including online dispensaries), you might think of steering clear. Here are five things that can commonly go wrong with a retail cart you bought off the shelf:
It’s Old
This is the most common cause of a good brand or vendor delivering a subpar cart. As we point out in our guide to discolored vape cartridge oil, time is the ultimate killer of vape cartridges. You want your cartridge oil “fresh squeezed,” so to speak, as much as possible. From the day it’s made, the cart is steadily losing potency as the organic compounds in it begin to degrade. Add to this that not everybody in the supply chain process might have been well-trained in the proper handling of stock. The carts might have been exposed to heat, moisture, or other factors that degraded the quality further. The maximum shelf life of a cart is one year. If you bought your cart on a hot sale, chances are it was nearing its sell-by date, so it might be weaker oil.
It’s Weak
To reiterate our earlier point, the science of cartridge extraction isn’t always an exact science. There are several reasons why your cartridge may have a lower cannabinoid potency than advertised and even lower yet than what’s on the lab sheet. For one thing, lack of interstate federal standards mean that lab tests won’t be standard from state to state. Variables include things like frequency of sampling, batch sampling to control for inconsistencies, thoroughness of cannabinoid breakdown, and so on. But at the bottom line, sloppy quality control can be responsible for a deficit in cart potency.
Cheap Hardware
Few things in life are more frustrating than top-grade oil in a low-quality cartridge that clogs, leaks, and otherwise under-performs. Faulty cartridge hardware may cause the oil to not heat up enough or overheat, or heat unevenly. The cart materials may reek of plastics, metals, or chemicals. The 510 threads may be a hair off standard making for a faulty connection with your battery. Faulty hardware is becoming less common as vendors get a feel for why standards are necessary, but you still run across that extractor who was desperate enough to order a batch of carts off Alibaba.
Poor Ingredients
I’ll let you into a little secret: not every mom-and-pop vape cart brand has their own extraction lab. Instead, companies may outsource this simple detail, they may just buy white-label oil and slap on their own label, or they might buy ready-made bulk isolates and terpenes and brew their own oil. The most common complaint we hear is botanically derived terpenes as opposed to cannabis-derived terpenes. Botanical terpenes – from exactly where you think they come from, citrus fruit rind and the spice rack – have a harsher taste and ruin the natural cannabis flavors. On top of that, we’ve seen cases where delta 8 was sold as THC, or a cart that was shooting for HHC ended up half CBN, etc. Sometimes when you see 5 different cannabinoids listed, that’s because they started with CBD, ran a synthetic conversion process on it, half-way finished, tested the oil, and whatever cannabinoids show up in the most percentage get listed on the box.
It Was Backdoored
Ha ha, got you! You can go to a dispensary and still end up with a fake cart. How can that happen? Maybe the vendor doesn’t know better and bought fakes off a middleman. Maybe one of the employees is making money selling hot vapes on the side. Ana maybe a vendor ran out of a brand with a backorder a long way away, but he could fill these carts right now… Things happen. For that matter, double-check to see if it was a licensed dispensary at all, or a smoke shop with a case full of truck stop vape classics.
A Reputable Vendor Should Care About Their Product
Like I say,m don;t be afraid to go back to a dispensary with a cartridge that is clearly defective. If you usually get good quality from the place and this one time got bunk, they will want to know about the issue anyway. But even without defect, some carts may be weaker simply because oil can be variable within a batch, or because they sat for nine months but are still technically “good.” You want to try to stick to brands that put out consistent quality.
While we usually don’t review cartridge hardware itself, we got wind of the Drillor project and decided to check it out. Drillor is a new model of 510-threaded vape cartridge, with some new design features and a built-in social equity program. But we’re mainly here to focus on the cartridges themselves. This is another case where a new product is launching and our details are developing as we type, so hang onto your hat if it gets bumpy.
First off, a contact reached out to us and offered the cartridge for review. Our people told their people “we don’t review empty cartridges” which somehow left off “perhaps a nice press release about your product launch instead” and went on to “fill the cartridges and then we’ll review them.” And so they did, dutifully filling ten cartridges with a CBD distillate – for which they included a lab sheet. Then, somebody in shipping must have gotten in over their head, because the cartridges arrived to us in a hodge-podge assembly of ziplock baggies and a glass jar, which was sealed with plumbing tape. They also shipped the Artrix box, still sealed, with ten empty slots which would have been a dandy spot to put the cartridges.
Did I mention that filling _one_ cartridge would have sufficed? Oh well, anyway…
Designed for Social Equity in the Cannabis Vape Industry
As reported by the initial press release this month, Artrix, a cannabis industry solution provider, is launching the Drillor 510 Cartridges with a social equity pledge, giving away the first 100,000 units to cannabis businesses and brands in need of support. View more about their social equity program here.
So that’s certainly a commendable gesture! It’s also a shrewd move to help introduce a new hardware line. But what of the cartridge itself?
New Design in 510 Threaded Cartridges
The Drillor boasts a few innovations in its design. Chiefly, the mouthpiece, which is a molded cone design with fringes around the side. I can attest that vaping on it is comfortable, and provides better airflow than narrower mouthpieces out there.
At the other end, the base of the cartridge now has a gnarled grip surface, making it easier to thread and unthread cartridges. You can appreciate this feature if you’ve ever had a cartridge get stuck on the battery. Finally, there is also a fill mark on the side of the cartridge, so you have a standard fill-line.
That’s about the long and short of it. Despite the brutal packaging and shipping adventure I described, the cartridges arrived none the worse for wear. Threading one onto my trusty Doteco TIK20, I vaped a few puffs of the tasty oil and noted that this was as fine a performing cartridge as any other I’d used. The mouthpiece really is generous, allowing the user to pull a king-size cloud. All the flavor comes through, and I haven’t had one clog on me yet, despite oil so thick it was almost tree sap.
So, all in all, I can recommend this hardware for your oil. At least, it does everything I expect from a cartridge.
Artrix is launching more products later
More confusion with the product shipper straightened out, and apparently their initial objective was to have us review the battery, but that isn’t ready yet. But the new disposable Artrix will debut is the “Demo” billed as “the smallest cannabis vape in the world.” Here I just mentioned the TIK20; Artrix has some mighty small shoes to fill on the compact mini-vape market. Artrix is also launching a pod system, the “Fitty,” looking very much like the compact Stiiizy oilpen design.
We hope to circle back to this company when everything is launched. In the meantime, if you have a cannabis business that qualifies for social equity help, go ahead and sign up for some free cartridges.

This Beginner’s Mad Scientist Kit-looking equipment is the Exxus Vape Go Plus – Concentrate Vaporizer. It has wonderful features with a lot of customization for timing, heating, and options of going manual or auto. This was another new experience for me since the last thing I touched that had to deal with concentrates was the Lookah Dab Pen. That was a completely different experience than this and the main focus is on that percolator chamber.
Pros:
Operation is Easy and Customizable Heat Settings and Timer
Not harsh at all
Cons:
Weird to Hold
Recommendations: Change the design a bit so it is comfortable to hold?
Easy to Figure Out and Customizable
Without looking at the manual some of the things are self-explanatory and easy to figure out. But if you really want to tinker with this and optimize it for better function, you want to take a look at the manual. It is pretty compact and has a bunch of different customizable features such as the temperature range and the timer. It also has a safety feature where it will turn itself off after 15 seconds of no usage. There is even a manual mode and auto mode depending on your preference. On top of all that it is almost idiot-proof. Almost. The Percolator has a magnet bottom, so you don’t need to worry about holding it in place or it sliding everywhere.
No Coughing Here
I keep saying Mad Scientist Vibes because I think of the beakers and things bubbling over. This is the whole reason why this vaporizer is so different from others. Yes, you can get a pen that does this and it is more compact, but is it as smooth as this? This vaporizer has a percolator that makes the once very harsh hits and coughing fits, a thing of the past. It is essentially like having a bong attachment that can handle concentrates.
Doesn’t Feel Right Holding It
The only thing that bothered me about this rig was just how it felt when you were holding it. It is extremely awkward to hold. I was fooling around trying to hold it with one hand or two hands, setting it on a table and hitting it with no hands. Every scenario was odd. Maybe it is because my hands are smaller but to each their own.
Is this recommended?
The Exxus Vape Go Plus Concentrate Vaporizer runs at about $200. Is it worth it, though? Yes and no. This is different from your standard pen because of that percolator option and it makes a huge difference in the hit. This could be one that you keep at home and have a pen for portability. I like it a lot, other than finding a comfortable way to hold it, and I would say it would be a nice addition to any person’s setup.

Just to be clear up front: We’re here to investigate or attempt to verify the brand Ghost Carts, vape oil cartridges by a brand called – yes – Ghost. We’re seeing enough people ask about them in the interest of consumer safety. With the questions, as we will show, coming in about whether they’re a legit brand or fake wholesale packaging filled with mystery oil. Let’s send the Fake Cart Detective on the case.
VERDICT:Possibly legit-sketchy/widely faked
Advise: Accept only from your most trusted professional licensed dispensary. Otherwise, pass!
Preamble blah blah…
We are a review website for the cannabis industry first and foremost – which as reviews with any product, can be good or bad. We maintain our standing 5-year+ integrity as an online source of credible information about the cannabis industry, for the advocacy of the consumer. And we love our pot, and we want healthy pot everywhere so everyone else can enjoy it responsibly too. That’s why we advocate for greater legalization, regulation and consumer information that helps responsible, health-conscious users of herbal products know the closest science-based and objective truth about these products and the possible risks thereof. It is in this interest that we advise this write-up in the spirit of constructive criticism towards an improved experience for the medical and recreational cannabis community.
Most of you are probably here reading wondering “Is MY Ghost vape real or a knock-off?” It’s probably a knock-off if you got it from a non-reliable source. That’s ranging from your high school bathroom friend in the hoodie, a street plug, or the local corner “smoke shack” with the glass case full of fake and backdoored vape brands…
But we have your Ghost brand in empties sold for pennies each to fill in your own garage, right here at the usual retailers for the black market, from the likes of made-in-China, DHGate, VAPACC (vape accessories) and many more package retailers.
So that’s your first answer, in the most objective sense. Yes, it is possible for you, me, or anybody to buy vape carts and packaging in the Ghost brand and fill it with whatever and sell it. We will in fact return to the many, MANY abundant variety of sources of Ghost vapes, because there’s a point wirth circling back to.
If you got it from a reputable dealer in your best judgment, well, even then we have questions in the case of the Ghost brand and whom owns it.
Ghost Carts Fact #2: Dueling Websites
To invoke a cliché, 1000 words in a picture. This is a screenshot from GhostCarts-DOT-com about-us page. Right there at the bottom you see the disclaimer warning against scam imitators like GhostCartsOfficial-DOT-com. *Cue Dueling Banjos theme*
*Sigh*. Verily, the two sites appear side-side on search, with the rest of the hits for “Ghost carts” being black market, spam-and-scams, and everyone asking if these carts are real. You don’t have to be a web marketing major to know that this is unusual for a licensed company with a facility producing a regulated cannabis product.
Ghost Carts Deduction: Way too spread all over on the web to be single source vape oil!
In these crazy days of AI imitations, who knows what’s fake and what’s real? The two dueling websites appear as near twins of each other. And both claim something extra-weird for a vape cartridge brand: “sales agents”! That is something you claim when you’re running a multi-marketing pyramid scam. Then they “brag” about sales figures and cite that 800+ customers trust us.
Really? Did you catch that? Eight whole hundred customers of a vape cart brand? Wow that’s really something to remark on. I know mom and pop cultivators that beat that number their first month. If that were the truth, I wouldn’t print it, and remarkably both dueling websites list different numbers for the same pointless variables. Why should you, a customer about to send 500-degree cannabis oil with this company’s logo on it into your lungs, care how many sales agents they have?
Remember I said I’d circle on back to this point? Yeah, here’s the thing – for the “official” home of this brand, both those sites together don’t support the vast hits we get for searching this brand name. These go on for hundreds of hits. There are more than 800 distributors of Ghost carts alone, very nearly all of them black market.
Ghost Carts Fact #3: Reports of illness from Ghost carts?
On our Reddit /r/fakecartridges forum, many users ask about Ghost carts.
* Has anyone seen these pens? Ghost. Gelato 33 but my new plug has a bunch of different colors (link)
* GHOST – I’ve on one group on tg where plug selling these pods. Is it real or fake? (link)
That last link bears closer examination, as one commenter on that thread reports they “almost died” and “had a 30 min seizure” after hitting a Ghost cart.
Granted, forum chatter is all heresay, but the thing is that normal, licensed, regulated brands don’t have 90% of the information about them being people asking “who the heck runs this brand”?
Conclusions: Dispensary or nothing!
Ghost is yet another California brand listing some bland Los Angeles skyscraper as its address while purporting to sell cannabis vape cartridges, and yet have completely ethereal business channels. Nowhere on either version of the Tweedledee/Tweedledum websites is there a list of distributors, as in locations of dispensaries selling their product.
I would avoid these anyway, as there are a hundred million vape cartridge brands out there that don’t raise this many red flags. Anybody find one of these with a dispensary sticker, PM us! As for any source BUT a licensed dispensary – avoid it like a ghost!

Indulging in the Primary Jane 1G Live Resin cartridge (CBDA and Delta 8 mix) has been an experience that’s taken my appreciation for cannabis to new heights. As a discerning enthusiast, I’ve had the pleasure of exploring a wide range of products, but the London Pound Cake live resin, combined with Pure Gold‘s all-glass vape cart and specially paired battery, has truly redefined my understanding of luxury in the cannabis world.
Pros:
Battery included
All glass
Potent
Good value
Cons:
Short battery life
Recommendations: The battery could use some improvements
Intoxicating aroma
From the moment I opened the London Pound Cake 1G Live Resin, I was greeted with an intoxicating aroma that promised a sensory journey like no other. The terpene-rich bouquet hinted at the exquisite flavors that were about to unfold. Upon the first inhale, the taste was a revelation. A harmonious fusion of sweet and earthy notes, much like a decadent dessert with a hint of spice. The live resin’s consistency was impeccable, a testament to the craftsmanship that went into its production. The high that followed was a smooth ascent to euphoria. This was accompanied by a gentle relaxation that left me in a state of pure bliss.
All glass
What truly set this experience apart was the choice of hardware – Pure Gold’s all-glass vape cart. The difference was immediately noticeable. While traditional vape carts with ceramic or metal parts can sometimes alter the flavor and purity of the concentrate, the all-glass design preserved the live resin’s integrity. Each hit was a revelation of the London Pound Cake’s nuanced terpene profile and robust flavors, untainted by any unwanted aftertaste. The draw was effortless, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the live resin’s intricate aromas and effects.
Pure Gold’s thoughtful inclusion of a battery tailored to the London Pound Cake live resin added an extra layer of convenience to the experience. The battery provided the perfect power output for this specific cart. That ensured that every hit was a harmonious blend of flavors and effects. However, I must note that the battery’s only drawback was its relatively short lifespan before needing a charge. While it didn’t significantly impact the overall experience, a longer-lasting battery would be the proverbial cherry on top.
Innovative
The London Pound Cake 1G Live Resin and Pure Gold’s all-glass vape cart formed a partnership that elevated the entire cannabis experience. The high-quality live resin, expertly extracted to capture the essence of the strain, was a testament to the dedication of the producers. The choice of the all-glass vape cart demonstrated Primary Jane’s commitment to innovation and ensuring the most authentic consumption experience possible. This attention to detail allowed me to savor every nuance of the live resin’s flavors. This created an encounter that felt indulgent and refined.
Pure Gold’s all-glass vape cart not only preserved the flavors but also contributed to the live resin’s potency and effects. With each hit, I could feel the live resin’s impact as it transported me to a state of deep relaxation and euphoria. The combination of the London Pound Cake live resin and the all-glass vape cart was more than just consumption. It was an artful exploration of the intricacies of cannabis.
Battery included
As a cherry on top of this experience, Pure Gold’s thoughtful gesture of including a battery tailored to the London Pound Cake cart showcased their dedication to enhancing their customers’ experiences. The battery’s ideal power output was a testament to the attention to detail that Primary Jane brings to their products. While the battery’s longevity left a minor room for improvement, it didn’t overshadow the exceptional experience the live resin and vape cart offered.
Concluding this review
In conclusion, the Primary Jane London Pound Cake 1G Live Resin and Pure Gold’s all-glass vape cart are a match made in cannabis heaven. The live resin’s impeccable flavor profile, combined with the purity and authenticity preserved by the all-glass vape cart, created an experience that was both luxurious and transformative. Pure Gold’s commitment to quality and innovation shines through. Making this duo a must-try for anyone seeking a refined and unparalleled cannabis journey. With each inhale, I was reminded that true luxury isn’t just about the product. It’s about the meticulously curated experience that leaves a lasting impression on the senses and the soul.
This Primary Jane pen starter kit will set you back $52.00. You can find out more about them here.

Hey, fellow vape enthusiasts! I recently got my hands on the G Pen Dash+ dry herb vape, and let me tell you, it’s been a game-changer for me. This little device packs a punch! It comes mostly charged and I have only had to charge it once in the time I’ve had it which is a great feature. A friend said this put them in the perfect spot between using carts and smoking. Which I have to agree with. And while enjoyable smoking to get your THC is probably the least healthy way to do so. So I am always excited to try alternatives like dry herb vapes, and edibles.
Pros:
Sleek and compact
Great performance
Simple to use
Cons:
None
Recommendations: None
Sleek and compact
The first thing I noticed, off top, is how sleek and compact the device is. It’s super portable, fits comfortably in my pocket, and doesn’t scream “vape” when I use it. Please note, it does scream if the weed is loud. I wouldn’t recommend this or any dry herb vape for anywhere you need to be a bit discreet. Either way, the matte finish and screen that’s literally better than some phones I had back in the day gives it a look that I absolutely love.
Great performance
The performance is where the G Pen Dash+ really shines. The heating system is fast and efficient, delivering smooth and flavorful hits every time. The ceramic oven ensures even heating and preserves the flavor of my herbs. Plus, the vapor production is impressive for such a compact device. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the clouds it can produce. I prefer to turn the heat up so I can have bigger clouds but I would also be aware because this can sometimes result in a quickly cooked pack.
One thing I appreciate about the G Pen Dash+ is its simplicity. It’s incredibly easy to use, even for beginners. The interface makes it straightforward to turn on/off, adjust the temperature, and enjoy your session.
Easy to clean
Cleaning is a breeze as well. The vapor path is easy to access and maintain, which ensures the purest and tastiest vapor. The magnetic mouthpiece is a nice touch, making it quick and hassle-free to load and unload the oven. Honestly, the ease of use cannot be overstated. I have tried so many products at this point and even with instructions some of them are not the easiest to figure out. And honestly, that’s always a drawback of the experience for me.
As frequently, if I’m trying to get high I am stressed out for some reason. Creating a practical logic puzzle to use some of these devices makes it not even worth the effort sometimes. Luckily, the G Pen Dash+ is simply in a different category. It has a great battery an excellent design and is super easy to use as well! I really think the only cons to this device are just drawbacks to dry herb vapes in general.
Concluding this review
Overall, I have to say the G Pen Dash+ is a fantastic dry herb vaporizer. It delivers great performance, has a stylish design, and is incredibly user-friendly. Whether you’re a seasoned vaper or just starting out, this little gem won’t disappoint. Give it a try, and I’m sure you’ll be as impressed as I am! The current price of Dash+ is $149.95.
With 4/20 coming up, we potheads in the DabConnection ranks put on our game face and track down the best deals and finest cannabis products in order to bring you readers the top recommendations. My own stock is no exception; this is the time of year when I stock up because let’s face it, I’m not heading into 4/20 with just whatever reviewers are content to throw at me. So once again I dropped by The Despensary in Des Moines, Iowa – surely having its best year yet – to scoop up their latest offering – THCA House Diamonds. And man, did they ever deliver!
The Despensary’s house THCA Diamonds go for $30 for a 1-gram jar.
Pros:
Potent!
Great, uplifting, energizing effects
Full spectrum!
Vapes smooth as gravy
Decent price for the quantity
A little dab’ll do yah
Cons:
Not always in stock
Recommendations: Ahem, lab results would be nice, just so we have potency and terpenes pinned down. Even a bit more description on the Despensary’s site.
Diamonds Are Pete’s Best Friend!
As I go on reviewing my local scene, I realize that reviews from Iowa aren’t that useful to most of you. But perhaps you can take this as a general recommend for THCA diamonds in general, and check them out at your local dispensary. Amid all the other reviewers on our staff kicking it up in places like Las Vegas, California, or Illinois, reporting what happens in Iowa seems like small potatoes. But when we get anything this special, it’s cause for celebration, perhaps even for slaughtering a sacrifice to keep the cannabis gods on our side.
These diamonds are hard little white rocks. If I didn’t know better, I’d swear I was looking at crack. Pulling the top off the jar for the first time, I whiffed a potent and skunky aroma, rich and full-bodied like a good coffee. My lord, these are full spectrum! These little gems smell just like live rosin, and I’m still not sure how they accomplish this, but I assume they isolate cannabinoids and convert them to THCA, while leaving the rest of the formula untouched. Insert blah blah “closed loop” and “extraction from sauce” here. If you blindfolded me and gave me the Pepsi challenge between these and a THC diamond jar, I would not know the difference.
As clear as glass, these THCA diamonds melt gradually and evenly, without a speck of burning. Just the best material I have ever worked with dab-wise. As a bonus effect, when the dab is done the evidence is all but vanished. They vaporize so cleanly that they leave the banger unstained.
The taste is a bit earthy and spicy, with just a hint of citrus, but still fairly mild. Dabbing it is a smooth experience, tasty and satisfying without an overwhelmingly strong flavor.
As you can see in the video, I mention that the effects are starting to kick in and then wrap it up quickly. That’s because I felt it coming on big time and wanted to cut and run before I lost the ability for human speech.
Super-Uplifting and Energizing Buzz
What hit me next was one of those highs we stoners seek out and chase, but don’t always recapture. Heady, exhilarating, inspiring, lucid, and euphoric as hell. You could have dropped a bowling ball on my foot, torched my Magic the Gathering collection, and insulted my podcast and it would not have removed the smug grin off my face. This unique, almost spiritual high is the mark of a cannabis concentrate that elevates you without stoning you out and making you dopey. This effect, and consistently it is the case with all subsequent sessions, off a diamond smaller than the size of a pea, maybe a fat grain of rice. I put it up to the entourage effect more than the THCA.
The effects last on for hours, gradually lowering you into a relaxed state. Since I’m already something of a work-a-holic, I treasure concentrates that have an inspiring, motivating effect. With THCA diamonds, so far it’s been “dab a rock; write a script. dab a rock; make a video. dab a rock; organize the office.” The lasting effects and potency make this seem like so much more than just a 1-gram jar. For me, it’s good for at least ten sessions and maybe fifteen.
If You See THCA Diamonds, Try Them!
Whether at the Despensary in Iowa (hey, maybe you’re driving through to Illinois and need a rest stop), or wherever you happen to find yourself, give THCA diamonds a try. Cannabis forums are always peppered with veteran stoners asking “why bother with the altnoids when THCA is right there? This is one of those times when we’re on to a good alternative. perhaps with the potential to surpass classic D9THC. Since THCA is the precursor to THC itself,m this makes sense. THCA, naturally found in cannabis, is what you’re converting when you decarb weed or extract.
As for Des Moines’ own Despensary, I’m starting to think that they can do no wrong. How fortunate that, when we have this situation where we’re lucky to have a dispensary at all, we lucked out getting a top-quality one. Many places aren’t this lucky. I give THCA diamonds from the Despensary my highest recommendation for a quality dab.
Readers, share your experiences with THCA, diamonds, dabbing, and fly-over states like Iowa. Here in the comments or in our clouded and hotboxed forum.
Hello you dabheads! You might recall the original Dablamp review we did here at Dab Connection back last fall. I had great things to say about it, and it’s been my go-to eRig ever since. It’s been sturdy and reliable, and everything I ask in push-button dabbing convenience – that also lights up my cloud like fog coming off of Dracula’s castle hideout. Long story short – We have the newest model of Dablamp with an extension that also vapes dry herb.
Anybody who’s read this site for a while would know the continuous struggle we have seen manufacturers undergo while trying to invent the perfect dual-use vaporizer. The Dablamp, to my view, has just perfected the easiest way to switch between dabs and flower and back. The Dablamp eRig is listed at their site for $219.
Bargain price for an eRig (compare to Dr. Dabber Switch at $374.95)
Easiest switch between concentrates and herb ever
Impressively powerful battery
Cons:
Cleaning is still a pain – (but what eRig isn’t?)
Runs a bit hot around the business end (maybe unavoidable)
Recommendations: I’ll repeat my recommend for thermo-sensitive paint, a strap-on thermometer, or whatever it takes to make the heating element end indicate that it’s 800 degrees and hot to the touch. Outside of that, it would look even cooler with more lights and a terp slurper!
Revisiting the Genie of the Dablamp
Here’s the new updated feature: A dry herb cup. If you watched my video, I fumbled this part. I packed the herb into the larger cup, but you’re actually supposed to invert the top part and fill the herb there, then the cap slides on and threads down over it. Also, in fiddling around pre-recording, I also somehow managed to get the herb cup wet. Despite all this, the unit still performed and gave me plenty of puffs of vapor off my first use of the dry herb extension. So I klutzed my way into it and it still worked.
Otherwise, this seems to mostly be the same eRig we know and love. A recap:
The features of the DabLamp include:
Heavy-duty 4200mAh battery – takes a few hours to charge up
Induction heating – great taste, great effects, great clouds
Two use modes – 3-temp smart heating and a manual heat-on-demand
Safety cut-off to prevent overheating
Audio feedback instead of haptic
The full kit comes with:
Battery unit
Wall plug-in charger
Glass water reservoir
Glass nail
Glass cup-cap bubble topper
Titanium bucket
Quartz bucket insert
SIC bucket insert
Dab tool
NEW – dry herb capsule assembly
You haven’t dabbed until you’ve tried induction dabbing!
The taste is rich, full-bodied, and satisfying, no matter if it’s dabs or dry herb. I even tried a chip of hash and for once I dabbed hash that didn’t taste like burning hay. Never chars the material, provided you keep it at a low enough temp. With torch dabbing, you can taste every terpene. With induction dabbing, you can tell all that and also who harvested the bud.
The powerful battery on the Dablamp plus the thick induction coil encircling the cup ensures an even heat-up and consistent results every time. Big, effortless clouds – lit up in your choice of blue, green, or red vapor – are yours at a push of a button. The even and predictable operation makes for an efficient session every time, wasting no material and giving you plenty of vapor off every Mg used.
Switching between extracts and dry herb: Kiss the puck goodbye!
You should all be familiar with the puck by now:
This is a drop-in stainless steel pad, about the size of a shirt button, which many vaporizers use to try to convert a dry herb oven into a concentrate oven. In theory, you take a dry herb vape like, say, the Airvape Leg-Pro:
And they include the puck with this model. You drop the puck into that herb chamber, drip a tiny drop of concentrate on it so it doesn’t spill off the puck, and then vape that. That’s how it’s supposed to work in theory.
In practice, I can never get a puck to work. I have to place the puck levelly inside a circular hole barely wider than its circumference but usually a few cm. deep. Then carefully reach in there with the dab tool to drip the sauce onto the puck… and then the dab tool sticks to the puck! So I’m shaking the dab tool around to drop the puck, but now I’m smearing concentrate all over the inside of the chamber and eventually, inevitably, the puck will fall off upside down into the oven. And now I have concentrate smeared on both sides of the puck, defeating its entire purpose. I end up struggling with it like Donald Duck fighting a beehive.
If you readers out there have the Zen concentration to make that puck work, more power to you.
Bottom line: For me, dexterity is my dump stat, so the Dablamp design provides for the easiest way to switch between concentrates and herb on an eRig (or electronic vaporizer) I’ve found yet. Really, it’s just like switching between a flower bowl and a banger on a glass analog rig.
No other eRig on the market has this unique set of features
Between the induction heating, the versatility, and the relatively compact form factor and ease of use, nothing else on the dab rig market really comes close to the Dablamp. At $219, it’s also at the most reasonable end of eRig price ranges.
On top of all that: It looks cool! The light makes the entire glass chamber light up, and the design is rounded and elegant. It’s classical enough to be charming, but sophisticated enough that it wouldn’t be out of place at the Mos Eisley cantina. Some slug-person alien vaping out of it before he starts a fight with Han Solo.

Great versatility
One of the coolest things about the Planet of the Vapes ONE is its versatility. This vaporizer is compatible with a wide range of attachments, which means you can customize your vaping experience to suit your preferences. The vaporizer is intended to use with both dry herbs and concentrate which I really love. It comes with a little piece of what looks like steel wool but fits perfectly in the chamber. It stops the concentrate from getting pulled down and stuck in the device.
The device also comes with a dab tool, tweezers a cleaner, and a micro USB cable, so you can really use it with just what’s included with no issue. One tweak I would make to this design though is placing the charging port in a different place. The device cannot be standing up and charging at the same time, which isn’t really a big deal but with the bubbler attachments on I would definitely prefer to charge this when upright.
Digital display and temperature control system
Another great feature of the Planet of the Vapes ONE is its temperature control system. The vaporizer features a digital display that allows you to easily adjust the temperature to suit your needs. This means you can customize your vaping experience to suit your preferences and get the most out of your chosen material. The vaporizer takes a bit to heat up which feels like it takes a bit of the instant gratification away from the design. It will vibrate when it is ready to use but until then you are best served to place the device o.
The table and waiting. After a few heats up the entirety of the device minus the attachment can get a bit warm but the automatic shut-off stops any potential hazards. I would keep in mind though if it is too hot just give it a bit. Luckily you will probably get high pretty quickly using this device and you won’t have a chance to heat it up that much unless you are vaping with multiple people in an extended session.
Very easy to use
In addition to its versatility and temperature control system, the Planet of the Vapes ONE is also extremely easy to use. The vaporizer features a simple design that makes it simple to operate, even for beginners. To turn the vaporizer on, simply press the button five times. To adjust the temperature, press and hold the button until the desired temperature is reached. And to start vaping, simply load your chosen material into the chamber and inhale. Another very cool part of this device is the attachments.
There is the standard attachment plus four other options all of which are cool for their own reasons. So the bent mouthpiece is great because it is sturdy and I wouldn’t be afraid to bring this with me to different places, but it is a little smoother than the standard. I would compare it to a bendy straw vs a regular one. Then there are the two mini bubblers, the curved and straight versions. Both are great but the curved mini bubbler is a bit smoother and also my favorite of the attachments. The water pipe adapter is great too because it allows the vape to connect to most bongs and bubblers creating a really great vaping experience.
