Industrial Hemp Farms Delta 8 Cart Review – Great Stuff

industrial hemp farm d8 review

I recently got the opportunity to try a few products from Industrial Hemp Farms. I tried two different live resin cartridges and they were both great. Each had a distinct and tasty flavor with good potency to go with it.

Pros:

  • Pretty Smooth
  • Quite Tasty
  • Nice High
  • Good Value

Cons:

  •  Doesn’t last that long

Recommendations: Longer-lasting effects would be great

Grape Soda and the skies

Let’s start by going over the Granddaddy Purple. This delivery arrived right before the meteor shower on August 12th so I figured there was no better time to test this out than right now. I had been at work all day and pretty stressed out but the cartridge fixed all of that. I immediately felt calmer and ready to sit with myself and my thoughts and simply watch the sky. The flavor was great as in my opinion this cartridge tasted pretty much like grape soda. It was also pretty smooth only causing coughing or choking if the pull I took was extraordinarily long.

Pineapple Express tasted fantastic

Now let’s move on to the Pineapple Express. So I tried this for the first time the following day after the meteor shower. I received an email from a company I work with and I realized I had a full two days ahead of me as this project was due almost immediately. So I switched from the more chill Indica to a more lifting and euphoric Hybrid-Sativa. This cartridge also tasted fantastic. I love the taste of pineapple and having that mixed with the bouncy head high of the Pineapple Express was great.

I am not as big of a fan of Sativas. As I feel they can actually increase my anxiety after a certain point, this one was pretty solid. I was able to use this and get all of my work done in time and any jittery-ness I may have experienced I would attribute to working about 28 hours in two days. However, having the Pineapple Express provide me with a nice euphoric high definitely helped keep me positive through the whole process.

Not that strong

One major downside I saw with this and also the Pineapple Express is that I don’t feel the recommended dosage is enough to fully feel the effects for a regular cannabis user. On the packaging, it states that one puff every 90 minutes should be sufficient. While I understand it is probably better for the more casual or occasional weed smoker to see that and know that it might be best to take it easy on this because the high can get pretty intense, I just don’t think that is a realistic dosage for a consistent cannabis user. I have pretty intense anxiety and one way that I help use cannabis to combat it is by taking very small hits when I feel it start to creep up again. This strategy has pretty consistently worked for me and is part of the reason I enjoy using live resin cartridges as one of my main forms of cannabis consumption.

It is very easy to take a small hit and then stop immediately as opposed to if you are smoking a joint or blunt, which unless you intend on wasting a considerable amount of product, generally requires you to smoke more than a singular hit at a time. Another major benefit to the live resin cartridges is that they are discreet. While in California it is completely legal to use cannabis recreationally, it is still frowned upon by many different people. So having a small device to help you quickly and discreetly feel the effects you desire is great. While not completely odorless, the cartridges give off such a small and faint scent that unless you are next to someone while they are using they would never know. That is to say, the scent doesn’t stay with you in the way that the smell of smoke would.

Concluding this review

Both the Pineapple Express and GrandDaddy Purple were great. I did prefer the more calming Granddaddy Purple if I had to pick one. But honestly, they both have their place. I definitely have found myself switching back and forth whenever I feel myself needing more of a lift in my mood or if I feel I need to calm down after experiencing some pretty intense anxiety. These carts would be best suited for anyone just trying to enjoy themselves, have a nice chill day or night, or maintain focus while getting some work done. I would also like to note that the Pineapple Express cartridge did have the little metal piece fall out of the bottom. Had I not been home could have made the cartridge useless but luckily I was able to just pick it up and slide it back into place. To avoid this I would simply use caution when switching cartridges or taking it off the battery for charging. Until next time!

Vivimu Delta 8 Flower Review – Looks and Smells Good

vivimu delta 8 flower review

Today we are gonna try out some of the Delta 8 flower from Vivimu.

Pros:

  • Looks and smells good
  • Hits pretty smooth
  • Nice taste

Cons:

  • Not that strong
  • Effects quickly fade away

Recommendations: Some improvements to the strength and effects of the flower would be great

vivimu delta 8 flower bag

Good look and smell

Immediately I noticed how good the Sour Space Candy strain looks and smells. This strain smells fruity yet dank before and after grinding. If I had to compare the smell to something specific I think a creamsicle would be most appropriate. It looks super appealing with lots of orange color mixed with light and dark green. The buds were pretty dense and moist out of the package. It was delivered with a vacuum seal so it retained its freshness. I am going to smoke this out of a bubbler I just picked up and see how it feels.

The hits are pretty smooth

The Sour Space Candy hits pretty smooth in the bubbler. It still has a bit of that orange aftertaste as well. The high feels more centered in the head than the body immediately. And after a few hits, I can feel it but also definitely want more.  This gives the traditional feeling of smoking where I get the familiar smell I feel is missing with various concentrates.

vivimu delta 8 flower

Not that strong

However, after getting to try the THCO distillate yesterday, I feel like this is just not it. It smells good and feels ok, but it is just not hitting me the way I want. I feel like I would need a lot more volume-wise to get my desired effect.

After repacking and smoking another bowl, I am feeling closer to the effects I was looking for. The head high is still pretty solid but I can feel it more in my body and in my perception of myself in space. I don’t think this strain has particularly strong pain relief effects as I have not noticed a very big difference in that. I feel less anxious than I was before I began the session, but I do not feel like the head high is euphoric or sedating enough to achieve what I was looking for either. I experience pretty intense social anxiety and my tasks going forward today still seem as daunting as ever.

I think this would be a really enjoyable strain if I had set out to smoke a large amount of flower at once, such as you would in a blunt. I think the smell would fill the room in the best way and the ability to sit with the smoke would enhance the experience. But in this case, I actually was trying to conserve by using the bubbler and that made this a pretty forgettable experience in my opinion.

delta-8 flower close up

Concluding this review

The weed smelled, tasted, and looked great, but didn’t really achieve the main goal but so well. I also would like to note that the high seems to fade pretty quickly after it’s achieved. I do not know if the best results would be to smoke past the initial high feeling and aim for a really intense high quickly in hopes that it would last longer. Although fun, sometimes those kinds of highs can take longer to recover from or be particularly active during. And although I love cannabis products, I do not subscribe to the idea that cannabis has to make you lazy. I believe if you are using with intention and motivated to complete your task anyway, everything should work out just fine.

In conclusion, this flower gave a pretty average smoking experience overall.

Eighty Six Brand Delta 8 Disposables Review – Solid Yet Harsh

eighty six disposables review

Today we will take a look at the Delta-8 disposables from Eighty Six Brand. Eighty Six Brand currently offers an assortment of wellness products that contain Delta-8, HHC, and/or THC-O on their official website. For this review, I will sample five of their Delta-8 disposables.

Pros:

  • Sleek yet practical design
  • Above-average potency
  • Great airflow
  • Better oil visibility
  • Fair price

Cons:

  • Slightly harsh flavor
  • Would not recommend Boo Berry and Jen & Berry’s

Recommendations: The flavor for Boo Berry and Jen & Berry’s could be improved. Less artificial flavoring would also be greatly appreciated.

eighty six disposables box front

Eighty Six Brand sent us five of their Delta-8 disposables

The no-frills packaging for each Eighty Six Brand Delta-8 disposable is color-coded with their brand logo, strain name, and artwork on the front. On the back of the box, the ingredients for these Delta-8 disposables are listed as hemp-derived Delta-8 distillate, terpenes, and flavoring. It also helpfully lists the intended effects on the side of the box with easy-to-identify icons. The 280 mAh draw-activated disposable looks nice and sleek, yet it doesn’t look too cheap. Whereas the oil in most disposables is barely visible through a small oil window, the transparency and viscosity of the oil in this disposable can be clearly seen with a larger-sized oil window.

Berry Slush is not my favorite of the bunch with a spicy berry aroma

First, I tried Berry Slush, which is a Sativa dominant blend that uses terpenes from Strawberry Cough with Mojito. This flavor was most similar to Strawberry Haze from Delta Munchies, due to its spicy berry flavor. However, the spiciness didn’t overpower the sweet berry taste, unlike the flavor for Delta Munchies. The effects of Berry Slush felt focused, uplifting, and energetic. The daytime effects left me in a productive creative mood.

Cereal Killer has the best flavor of the bunch with a Skittles candy-like flavor

Then, I tried Cereal Killer, which is an Indica dominant blend that uses terpenes from Fruity Pebbles OG with Alien Kush. The Skittles candy-like flavor makes this one my favorite of these five disposables. The effects of Cereal Killer left me in a calm and relaxing yet creative mood.

While the flavor of Boo Berry isn’t too harsh, the flavor is still lacking

Next, I tried Boo Berry, which is a Sativa dominant blend that uses terpenes from Blue Dream with Lemon Haze. The flavor of this disposable had a generic blueberry flavor that wasn’t too harsh, but I still found the flavor lacking. The effects of Boo Berry felt focused, uplifting, and energetic, similar to Berry Slush.

eighty six disposables box side

Grape Soda is my second favorite of the bunch with its grape juice flavor

After Boo Berry, I tried Grape Soda, which is an Indica dominant blend that uses terpenes from Purple Punch with Blue Cookies. The flavor of Grape Soda tastes like grape juice, not unlike Purple Punch from Jeeter Juice. The effects of Grape Soda felt calming, uplifting, relaxing before eventually feeling mildly sedative.

Jen & Berry’s is my least favorite of the bunch that recalls nicotine Juul pods

After Grape Soda, I tried Jen & Berry’s, which had the harshest flavor of the five Delta-8 disposables. Jen & Berry’s is an Indica dominant blend that uses terpenes from Gelato with Ice Cream Cake. While the flavor of Jen & Berry’s is harsh, the creative effects felt focused, uplifting, and slightly euphoric. The harshness of Jen & Berry’s reminds me of flavored nicotine Juul pods.

eighty six disposables unit close up

All in all, I would recommend Cereal Killer, Berry Slush, and Grape Soda, while I found Boo Berry and Jen & Berry’s to be slightly harsher

The full retail price for each one of the Delta-8 disposables from Eighty Six Brand is $29.99 per unit on their official website. While the flavor for Cereal Killer, Berry Slush, and Grape Soda felt above average, the flavor for Boo Berry and Jen & Berry’s lacks flavor. On one hand, the flavor for Eighty Six Brand Delta-8 disposables has a more natural taste than the Dessert Delta-8 disposables from Wild Orchard Hemp. On the other hand, I found Delta Munchies Delta-8 darts, Pally Hemp Delta-10 cartridges, and Hellfire Delta-10 disposables to be tastier. However, the Spensary Northern Lights Delta-8/THC-V cartridge is stronger in its potency and effects.

eighty six disposables units

Overall, this would be a definite recommendation for Cereal Killer, Berry Slush, and Grape Soda

While I would definitely recommend the flavor and effects of Cereal Killer, Berry Slush, and Grape Soda, I wouldn’t recommend the Boo Berry and Jen & Berry’s for their slightly harsher flavor.  Although these Delta-8 disposables don’t taste as artificially sweet as the Dessert Delta-8 disposables, I still prefer the Delta-8/THC-V cartridge from Spensary for its stronger potency and less harsh flavor.

Currently, you can find all the Delta-8 disposables from Eighty Six Brand on their official website here.

PharmaCBD delta 8 flower – Super potent!

PharmaCBD-delta-8-hemp

Hello again, cosmic starchildren aboard Spaceship Earth! Penguin Pete back again with another PharmaCBD product to review. Last time we covered the edibles. This time we’ll cover their 3.5 gram bag of delta 8 flower.

I did rank PharmaCBD tops for potency and quality in my 4-brand delta 8 hemp comparison video.

Because I am a sloppy reviewer, I finished this product off before I remembered to take photos. But you can still see it in the video.

Pros:

  • Top-notch potency
  • Stayed fresh
  • Tasty and true to strain
  • Delightful aroma

Cons:

  • Bit stemmy

Suggestions: none

Delta 8 THC: 31.1%

My eyes watered as I read the packaging. Having casually dropped a nug into my grinder without checking this factoid first, I pondered how far delta 8 THC had come in its short career. Only in about 2020-ish had delta 8 come to the fore and risen in demand within the market. At first, I’d barely had the time of day for the stuff, plus all the other alt-cannabinoids that have been coming out. Then I’ve been watching potencies get higher, and been amused with the effects.

Even now, I was used to delta 8 being pretty weak. But I had never before had 30%+ delta 8, certainly not applied to a rather feisty hemp strain that had been cultivated with love. This stuff was reorienting my orbit. Compare to the finest and most potent D9THC marijuana flower strains we tried on our Nevada tour. Even there, for full-THC flower in one of the top rec-legal states, the percentages of D9THC run 22%, 24%, some as high as 26%. So maybe 30%+ of any alt-cannabinoid is going to hit heavy.

PharmaCBD turns a page in cannabis history

But really, I have noticed these changes in the alt-cannabinoid market over this past year:

  • far higher potencies
  • a wider variety of alt-cans
  • many more possible combinations between alt-cans

As I pointed out in my old rant about the galaxy of cannabinoids coming out, cannabis can now be considered a designer drug. When a new cannabinoid gets introduced on the market (there are some 100+ more yet to isolate, concentrate, and test), its effects might be muted at first, or cautiously applied. But more than anything, commercial production of legal hemp has taken only a few years to leap over the standard you would find in, say, the 1990s.

I’m just pointing this out to say: Expect higher potency products that are still federally legal. And PharmaCBD hemp flower is one of those brands that marks a little turning point in the US cannabis market.

So, on to Sour Space Candy!

I tried their 3.5 gram delta 8 hemp Sour Space Candy. The packaging for this is a ziplocked baggie with a moisture packet inside, so the hemp was fresh. True to the strain name, the aroma is sweet and zingy, like you’d expect out of a sourball candy. The flavor was mildly tart, smooth to smoke out of the trusty water pipe. The perfume aroma lingers even on the empty bag.

The potency, of course, was dynamite. Along with the 31.1% delta 8 THC, there’s 8.4% CBD and then you have the Sour Space Candy terpenes, heavy on the myrcene, mild side of terpinolene and beta-caryophyllene. These enhanced the overall effect. Considering the lineage of the Sour Space Candy strain, which is high CBD but low THC, using it for a fortified delta 8 strain is a prudent idea.

You can still tell that you are having hemp, not full-D9THC marijuana proper, but the distinction is getting narrower. No matter how strong delta 8 is, it still has a different kind of “stoned” to it, one that feels more energetic, with less brain fog and couch lock. I really have to rate the effects here as comparable to regular marijuana strains. Comparing delta 8 hemp to regular weed has previously felt more like comparing wine to whiskey, whereas now the comparison is more like gin to vodka. Both equally potent, but noticeably varied in effect.

PharmaCBD Delta 8 Hemp is highly recommended

If you’re in the market for a legal delta 8 hemp that packs the biggest punch possible, you owe it to yourself to at least try PharmaCBD’s unique take. There is a steep quality ramp between the gas-station hemp and the highest end where PharmaCBD sits.

Since I’m a daily user myself, I always have one designated “daily smoker” flower. That brand remains Botany Farms for now, but I could start alternating with PharmaCBD. I put PharmaCBD as a tie or a tight second place to Botany Farms, which should tell you a lot!

Find PharmaCBD here. Readers, you have the floor in our comments or in our lovely forum.

Industrial Hemp Delta 8 Flower : The Bare Minimum

Industrial Hemp Farms is a company based out of Colorado, offering a variety of hemp-based products including delta 8, CBD, THC-O, and other alt-cannabinoid consumables in forms such as pre-rolls, edibles, dabs, and dry herb flower. They were good enough to send us along samples of some dry herb delta 8 flower for us to try out.

To cut to the chase: I’d rank the outcome in the firmly mediocre category. You have likely had better. However, I have also had worse. If this came from some other state, like Michigan, I’d consider this product more of a standard average. But from Colorado? Come on, you have to have better resources there that would allow better quality than this.

Pros:

  • Ships across the US
  • Decent potency
  • Cheap

Cons:

  • VERY dry
  • Brick-weed quality
  • Grassy taste
  • Weak, artificial flavor

Recommendations: Put some TLC into this instead of the bare minimum.

If Prison Commissaries Sold Weed…

Before we go on, most of the issues I found with this product might be with packaging.

When I go on the Industrial Hemp Farms website, I see that their product comes in various sizes up to an ounce. For all I know, they might graduate packaging up to sealed jars, which is how some delta 8 flower ships that I have seen. The tiny 1-gram packages, in any case, are these little cheap ziplock numbers that look exactly like the kind of packaging you would expect for K2/Spice type products and sketchy gas station offerings.

This dry herb, all three varieties, arrived DRY. Like, the driest flower I have ever seen. They were brown little nuggets that crumble to the touch, no grinding required. The consistently was that of dusty wind-battered tumbleweeds blowing through an old Gold Rush ghost town at high noon. There was no little moisture-protecting agent / terpene shield in the packaging.

Maybe this isn’t the case with sizes bigger than a gram. I’ve seen other reviews with different packaging. And to be fair, Industrial Hemp Farm’s prices for a gram run as low as $4 and change. So at rock-bottom prices like that, I can’t expect too much.

Industrial-Hemp-Farms-2

Labeling and Testing is a Jumbled Mess

The strains before me were Hawaiian Dream, Strawberry Cough, and Fortified Stardust. Now, there seems to be a lot of confusion in the packaging. For one thing, you will notice from the photo that they seemed to run out of Strawberry Cough labels. Then the packaging says “CBD Hemp Flower” but the stick-on label says “delta 8 premium hemp flower.”

On the site, there seems to be some difference between “fortified” delta 8 strains and regular ones. I’m going to assume, like all delta 8 hemp products, that it was produced by applying distillate of delta 8 to regular hemp. Perhaps this is what “fortified” means to them, but the site isn’t clear on strain info either. Fortified Stardust is marked as having “28.52% Total Cannabinoids” while the other 2 strains lack this information.

I’m further baffled by the quantities for sale. They range from the 1-gram packets all the way up to one strain sold by the pound only, priced at $1000/pound? That’s “Fortified Sour Glue” rated at 6.7% delta 8. Meanwhile the Fortified Strawberry Cough (no non-fortified listed) is only listed available as an ounce or a pound – yet you see I have Strawberry Cough in a gram packet. I have no idea what is going on with that.

Really, the website and packaging both just have sloppy, slapdash standards of organization. There are QR codes on the packaging that didn’t work with my scanner, but I did find lab results for just the Fortified Stardust.

Still Gets the Job Done

With all of the above having shot down my expectations into the pit, I was at least picked up a little when I tried the flower. It smokes decently smooth, but still a little harsh. The Hawaiian Dream had a far more potent, skunky aroma while both Strawberry Cough and Fortified Stardust had weak aromas. The taste on all three were nearly indistinguishable.

The effects were potent enough that I’d trust all three strains had delta 8 in the 20-30% range, with very weak entourage effects. All of them left me feeling like they were Indica, giving me a lead butt anchored to the couch, very relaxed. The high comes quickly, but also wears off quickly. My sense is that this might have been older hemp with some of the cannabinoids degrading into CBN.

It takes THIS many people to produce ashy, dry hemp?

I Just Expect Better From Colorado

Industrial Hemp Farms share on their About Us that they are “Top 3 worldwide distributors of hemp flower and extracts” and boast sales of $30 million annual. Well guys, you had me guessing, because I have tried flower from companies one-tenth that size that had superior quality. This was about as poor as you can get and still call it “delta 8 hemp.”

I also detect some affiliation between Industrial Hemp Farms, 3Chi, and Plain Jane.

The sole saving grace with this hemp flower is that I have had worse, such as Hemp Living USA, whose standards were rock-bottom ghetto when I first met them and have dived lower since. Industrial Hemp just manages to flail itself above the lowest bars for quality. I’ve had far better from Botany Farms and with PharmaCBD.

Bottom line: A very mild recommendation if you are in the market for very economical hemp flower. However, look, they’re based out of Colorado, one of the weed meccas of the world. I have had flower from Colorado that made my whole month. You just have better options out there. Find their products for online order here.

Dessert Delta 8 Flower Review – Good For Beginners

dessert delta8 review

Today we will take a closer look at a couple of Dessert Delta-8 products from Wild Orchard Hemp. Wild Orchard Hemp offers a wide selection of wellness products, which includes Delta-8, Delta-9, and/or HHC. Wild Orchard Hemp sent us their Dessert line of flower eighths and disposables. Prior to this review, I didn’t enjoy their Delta-8 disposables at all. Due to the food-grade flavoring and sucralose sweetener, I felt a minor headache along with some mild nausea. The adverse effects of their Delta-8 disposables felt similar to a slight hangover after a few drinks. For this review, I will sample two of their Delta-8 flower eighths.

Pros:

  • Mildly potent effects
  • Sweet fruity taste
  • Slightly discreet odor
  • Smoother flavor
  • Affordable prices
  • Great for beginners

Cons:

  • Slightly harsh

Recommendations: None

dessert delta8 products

While I was disappointed with the quality of the Delta-8 disposables, the packaging for this brand is vibrant and colorful

At first glance, both of the flower eighths also seemed unimpressive. On the other hand, the aroma of both flower eighths is much sweeter and less immediately unpleasant than the Sour Space Candy Delta-8 flower from Exhale Wellness. The ingredients for both of the full spectrum, slow-cured flower eighths are listed as 100% hemp-derived Delta-8 with terpenes.

dessert delta8 top

Both Dessert flower eighths were not quite as harsh as Exhale Wellness, which had an unpleasant odor

First, I tried their Lemon Pound Cake Delta-8 flower, which comes in a bright yellow jar. It has an artificially sweet aroma of old-fashioned lemon square bars sprinkled with powdered sugar. While the aroma is as sweet as candy, the flavor is more like regular flower with subtle notes of lemon, pine, vanilla, earth, and diesel. While not quite as harsh as Exhale Wellness, this Delta-8 flower is still best smoked with a traditional water bong rather than with a regular pipe.

dessert delta8 lemon pound cake
Lemon Pound Cake

Between the two strains, I preferred the flavor of Strawberries and Cream over the Lemon Pound Cake

Next, I tried their Strawberries and Cream, which come in a bold red jar. This Delta-8 flower also has a slightly artificial aroma of strawberry milkshake. The flavor of Strawberries and Cream also tastes similar to regular flower with notes of berries, vanilla, pine, earth, and diesel. The mildly potent effects of both strains felt similarly balanced between a light cerebral buzz with a light body high. Furthermore, both of the Dessert strains felt much smoother and less harsh on the throat than the Sour Space Candy from Exhale Wellness.

dessert delta8 straberries cream
Strawberries and Cream

The other available strains are Blueberry Cream Pie and Fruity Loop Milk, which can be purchased from their website

Each strain of Dessert Delta-8 flower is priced at $30 per eighth and $50 per quarter including shipping rates. So far, this is the best choice for the Delta-8 flower I’ve had yet. This Delta-8 flower might also be great for novice users who may not like the smell of weed or want to be slightly discreet in public. The other strains that are available on their website are Blueberry Cream Pie and Fruity Loop Milk. The Delta-8 THC % of Dessert Delta-8 flower is 10.65%, the CBD % is 13.71%, and the total sum of cannabinoid % is 26.74%.

Dessert Delta-8 flower lab results

dessert delta8 label

Overall, the Dessert Delta-8 flower wasn’t too impressive, still much better than Exhale Wellness

Ultimately, I would recommend the Dessert Delta-8 flower for beginners for its mildly potent effects, sweet fruity taste, slightly discreet odor, and smoother flavor. In addition, the prices for both of their eighths and quarters are in the more affordable range, compared to other brands. This Delta-8 flower is also much smoother using a traditional water bong or a dry herb vaporizer than with a regular pipe. Still, the aroma, flavor, and effects of both Dessert flower eighths are much preferred over the Delta-8 hemp flower from Exhale Wellness. However, I would strongly recommend avoiding their Delta-8 disposables at all costs, which are additionally untested for pesticides, solvents, and foreign matter.

You can find all Dessert products, which include flower eighths, prerolls, and disposables, on their official website here.

TribeTokes Saber Battery Delta 8 Starter Kit : Pretty Good Deal

TribeTokes-Saber-battery-kit-review

So perhaps, you are one of the vaping elite proselytizers trying to get your friend into vaping. The trouble is, you can’t start with a cartridge, because they have no battery, or can’t start with a battery because then they still have to go out and buy a cartridge. What a predicament! (Work with me here.)

Then 2-in-1 kit packaging is what you need! Since the cost of getting started vaping tends to be more of a commitment than most first-timers prefer, TribeTokes offers this kit, their Saber 510-threaded battery plus a Delta 8 full gram cartridge. We’re going to review them as the package deal they are.

Pros:

  • Sleek and discreet battery design
  • Fits any 510-thread cart
  • Long-lasting battery with short charge time
  • Great hits
  • Fair price
  • Switchblade action!
  • Decently tasty and potent cart
  • Full spectrum oil

Cons:

  • Cartridge flavor is almost artificially sweet
  • The battery has no auto-shutoff feature

Recommendations: Consider adding that auto-shutoff if you want to keep up with the market.

TribeTokes offers a one-stop intro to vaping

The price for the Saber battery is currently $40. Meanwhile one of their delta 8 full gram carts normally retail for $60. So at the current price of the TribeTokes Starter Kit, $80 knocks $20 off the price. It’s a good bargain if you happen to be in the market for a battery and cart at the same time.

You get:

  • 1 Saber design 510-threaded vaping battery
  • 1 USB charge cord
  • 1 full gram cartridge of delta 8 oil

The Saber battery is pretty snazzy by itself. As many batteries as I’ve seen, I can appreciate good aesthetics and branding, alongside a solid mechanical design. The Saber battery functions great and looks great, with a flip-up cartridge mechanism that operates on the same principle as a switchblade. It just looks cool, and the folding action makes this an especially discreet choice for non-obtrusive vaping on the go. Among the most compact form factors you’ll find in batteries.

PPreview-TribeTokes-Saber-vape-battery-1

TribeTokes Saber meets or exceeds everything I expect from a vape cart battery

When we get to the buttons and digital readout, it’s very standard. Top button X5 on, X5 off, hold to vape. Bottom button controls the vaping power, which is adjustable in 0.1 increments from 2.6-4.8 volts. I should mention the exclusion of one common feature: No auto-shutoff timeout. That can be a downside for absentminded geezers like us Generation X Stoners.

A word on battery power: My Saber arrived already at 75% battery power. Plugging into my USB port on my laptop charged it to full bars in minutes. Hence unplugged, this was my “daily vaper” for a week and the battery just ticked under 50% after that whole week. So the battery is impressively quick to gain a charge and strong enough to go a week without charging. I’d rank it at the high end in the battery power category.

The performance is also excellent. Before we consider the cart itself, the battery has top-notch airflow and smooth hits from start to finish. You can pull one heck of a blinker off this baby, as long as you don’t mind killing a few brain cells. The flavor comes through and the voltage adjustment lets you dial in the perfect balance of flavors. In terms of hitting, this is top-notch.

PPreview-TribeTokes-Saber-vape-battery-2

TribeTokes Delta 8 Full Gram Cart : Quite a lungfull!

The first thing to know about TribeTokes’ delta 8 full gram carts is that they are full spectrum, but with delta 8 in place of THC. This extends to their terpenes, derived from cannabis / hemp itself rather than botanical terpenes. So you get full flavor oil, and you’d better be ready for it.

This particular strain is Birthday Cake Kush, a hybrid with not much info on it. It’s from somewhere in the GSC / Cake strains. The thing to know is that this is the SWEETEST oil you will likely vape, which may pout you off if, like me, you lack much of a sweet tooth. The vapor has a perfume-like aroma thanks to the fruity, floral flavors of nerolidol, linalool, and limonene. It tastes just like birthday cake frosting with extra vitamin C. Pleasant in small puffs, but way too heavy a flavor for deep hits.

On top of this, delta 8 itself hits harsher than regular THC, so combine that with the flavor profile.

Your humble blogger confesses, I’m a bit of a spoil-sport when it comes to sweet flavors. I’m a lentil-boiling health food nut though, so take that into account. I know that sweet strains are here to stay, I just gravitate to the savory flavors.

Anyway: TribeTokes oil is good quality, lasting a fairly leisurely time. The effect was a mellow, balanced high that was both relaxing and uplifting, great for getting to your happy place after a rough day. Not too spiky or energizing though.

PPreview-TribeTokes-Saber-vape-battery-3

Overall, the TribeTokes Saber Starter Kit is good quality at a reasonable price

The Saber battery immediately became my favorite battery of the year so far just from the flip-action. The spring is strong with this one. You can’t help playing with it. It’s like a built-in fidget toy. The battery works good, looks good, and is small as a pack of gum. My only gripe in the battery is the lack of auto-shutoff after so much inactivity.

TribeTokes Birthday Cake Kush, delta 8 full spectrum cart, is a fair cartridge for standard delta 8 use. I’m not a fan of the sweet, strong terpene profile, and I’m not that into the Cake end of strains anyway. But the cart tasted good, at least, and had a good heady buzz to it.

Exhale Wellness Delta 8 Crumble and HHC Cart Review – Good Effects

exhale review

Today we will take a look at some products from Exhale Wellness. To be more precise, we tried out their Delta 8 THC Crumble and HHC Vape Carts. This new delta 8 THC vape cart has been helping me conserve my medical marijuana products, and also I like how it is good for use during the daytime.  So far, this HHC 10 cart is pretty good, and I really liked the gummy edible with delta 8 THC, and the Delta 8 THC crumble is pretty good too.

Pros:

  • Good flavor
  • I like the strains
  • Effects seem good

Cons:

  • I wish they used CCELL hardware for the carts

Recommendations: Better hardware for the carts would be great.

Who would enjoy Exhale Wellness products?

I think anyone who enjoys cannabis would like the offerings at Exhale Wellness.  Especially those who aren’t fortunate enough to have medical or recreational marijuana where they live.  Counterfeit cannabis products have been a serious problem for years.  In my opinion, any tested product is a superior option to unregulated, black market products bought from the street.

Years ago, I bought all kinds of illegal street carts that oftentimes didn’t give me any kind of effect.  I hated the inconsistency, but in retrospect, I am so grateful that I didn’t lose a lung or something.  If I only had options like these Delta 8 THC concentrates and HHC vape carts before.  I would have definitely bought them over the Dank Vapes and other “brands” that I used to buy from the black market.  I really hope that someday, we all have the recreational options that they have in states like California or Colorado.

exhale banner

The flavor was nice and fruity

The flavor of the vape cart I got from Exhale Wellness is a nice, sweet, fruity flavor.  The concentrate was pretty similar too.  I like the consistency of the concentrate a lot more than the only other delta 8 THC concentrate I have bought.  This Exhale Wellness stuff has much more like the consistency of the stuff I get from medical dispensaries than the 3chi delta 8 concentrates I tried a while ago.  I really prefer this Exhale Wellness concentrate.

I looked up some information about HHC or Hexahydrocannabinol.  The Wikipedia page says this is a semi-synthetic cannabinoid derivative that resulted from early modifications to the structure of THC, in a search for the simplest compound that could still fulfill the binding requirements to produce cannabis-like activity.”  The strain that I got is Purple Space.  I have been pretty blown away by how much this cart tastes like real Cannabis!

Better hardware for the carts would be an awesome addition

I wish they would have used a brand-name cart, but this one is working fine so far.

delta 8 products

I don’t know what to compare them with

They have all kinds of new THC products now, and I’m just learning about them.

Concluding our review

I am glad that I tried these various vape carts.  I was skeptical at first, that these different kinds of THC wouldn’t really have any effects.  They changed my mind, and I like these so far.  I had no idea until recently that there are so many new products like this, and that they sell them EVERYWHERE.  It’s pretty cool.  Hopefully, soon enough they will just legalize all of these Cannabis products. • Good flavor, convenient, and easy to use
  • I like how they have well-known Cannabis strain names

Cons

  • Terpene content is not given

Recommendations: These Delta 8 THC vape carts have been helping me conserve my medical marijuana products, and also I like how they are better for use during the daytime.

Who would enjoy this?

I think anyone who enjoys cannabis would like these Hiistick vape carts.  Especially those who aren’t fortunate enough to have medical or recreational marijuana where they live.  Counterfeit vape carts have been a serious problem for years.  In my opinion, any tested product such as these Hiistick vape carts is a superior option to unregulated, black market products bought from the street.  I first got my medical marijuana card about 18 months ago, but before that, I bought all kinds of illegal street carts that oftentimes didn’t give me any kind of effect.  I hated the inconsistency, but in retrospect, I am so grateful that I didn’t lose a lung or something.

Motivate, Mindful and Mellow

I got three different strains of Hiistick vape carts to review.  Indica strains are my favorite, but I’m not super picky.  I got one of the “Motivate”, one “Mindful”, and one “Mellow”, which I think corresponds to Sativa, Hybrid, and Indica.

Motivate yourself

The “Motivate” cart I got is a Lemon Diesel, 1000 mg Delta 8 THC cart, and the description says “As a strong Sativa blend, Lemon Diesel is a talkative strain with a Limonene base offering bright, joyful, and energetic effects that can improve mood.”  On the back of the box, it says “Ingredients: 100% Organic Hemp Delta-8 Botanically Derived Terpenes”  There is also a QR code on the back that sends you to a website with lab reports.  The oil itself is almost totally clear, and there is no brand name on the actual cart itself.  The flavor of the vapor is a nice, tart, citrusy flavor and the vapor production is good.  I am enjoying the effects too.

Be mindful

The “Mindful” cart I got is a Blue Dream, 1000 mg Delta 8 THC cart, and the description says “Blue Dream balances gentle cerebral stimulation with full-body comfort thanks to Myrcene, a physically uplifting terpene that promotes peace of mind.”  The back of the box is the same as the Lemon Diesel.  This one also has nearly crystal clear oil inside.  It has a nice, sweet flavor, and reminds me of the few times I have had Blue Dream strain in the past.

Mellow land

The third cart I got, which is the “Mellow” option, is Grand Daddy Smurf, Delta 8 1000 mg cart, and the description says “A potent Indica strain made by crossing Blueberry with GDP.  It is based on Linalool, found in lavender and known for its calming effect and fruity aromas.”  The back of the box is the same as the other two.  This oil again is nearly crystal clear, and the cart hardware has no name brand.  I am a big fan of Linalool.  It’s one of the easiest terpenes for me to identify, with the lavender scent.  There is definitely a nice, sweet, lavender scent with this vape cart.  The effects seem nice as well.

It’s cool how they mention the specific terpenes.

hiistick-delta8-carts-labels-994x600

High-quality cartridge hardware

I do wish they would have gone with a name-brand vape cart, like CCELL or AVD, but these seem to work fine.

Similar Cannabis products for comparison:

I’ve only tried a few delta 8 THC products so far, but so far they seem to help make the medical marijuana vapes last longer, and I enjoy the flavor of these Hiistick Delta 8 vape products.

Conclusion

I am glad that I tried these delta 8 disposable vapes.  It’s fun to explore this new world of THC products.  These seem to have effects and I really like the flavor.  You can find out more about Hiistick products here.

Botany Farms Delta 8 Hemp Flower : Next Generation Hemp Flower

Botany-Farms-products

As I’ve iterated in previous flower reviews, the Midwest is still in its pioneer days when it comes to cannabis legalization. The Western deserts and Eastern seaboard both have solid cannabis availability, where the Midwest is a crazy quilt of states taking every position possible. Bottom line, we’re grateful for what little hemp comes our way in the Midwest, and have tended to give it a passing grade based less on merit and more on the fact of its existence at all.

As of today, that policy is stopping. We’re going to start paying attention to quality when it comes to Midwest hemp, because Botany Farms of Bloomington, Minnesota, has set a new bar for delta 8 hemp standards.

Pros:

  • Good value
  • Breakthrough taste in delta 8 hemp
  • CBG flower line
  • Available throughout the eastern US

Cons:

  • None

Recommendations: Maybe check that THC potency?

Botany-Farms-D8hemp_2

Botany Farms flower has a higher quality standard than average delta 8 hemp flower

I obtained 2 jars of their delta 8 hemp flower: 1 Bubba Kush, and 1 White CBG, 1 gram each. The first thing to note is the packaging. The jars have child-proof caps and freshness seals. Opening them was momentous, because you get that first whiff of farm-fresh flower.

Botany Farms has a new method of producing flower. When it comes to producing delta 8 hemp flower, most producers spray a delta-8 concentrate onto the hemp flower, resulting in a sticky confection that’s somewhere between a moonrock and pressed floret of broccoli, very harsh to smoke with an artificial taste.

Botany Farms uses a proprietary “cold-press” method to combine the base hemp plant with delta 8 THC distillate. One toke will make you a believer, and you’ll never want to settle for spray-on delta 8 again. This is delta 8 hemp that actually tastes like weed, not artificially flavored grass.

Botany-Farms-D8hemp_3

Bubba Kush : Dank, Potent, and Stony!

I’m more familiar with the Indica wonders of Bubba Kush from other strains, including other delta 8 strains as well as THC-9 marijuana proper, so I opted to try that first. The first whiff hit me with a skunky, pungent aroma, earthy with a hint of pepper. This comes from the caryophyllene, the most prominent terpene in Bubba Kush. The flavor was deep and rich, with a classic, heavy plume of smoke that will do its best to imitate its delta-9 classic THC cousin.

Bubba Kush smoke hanging dankly in the air will trigger your old memories of flying into a panic to spray air freshener when you hear mom roll up in the driveway. I’d recommend it as a starting point for those moving from classic weed to trying out delta 8.

The effects of Botany Farms’ Bubba Kush were unexpectedly strong for delta 8. It gives a “true Indica” experience: My butt was nailed to the couch, intellectually fit for nothing more than a video game marathon with a goofy grin on my face. It has a full entourage effect of deep relaxation. My cap says 8.9% delta 8 and 14.8% CBD, but Bubba Kush terpenes alone have a knock-out effect beside the cannabinoids.

Bottom line: Bubba Kush delta 8 flower will smoke and feel almost exactly like the classic skunky bud you smoked in high school, but of course less potent due to delta 8 THC over THC classic. Save it for nighty-night time. This is good stuff, I’m just not dwelling on this one because it was the least disruptive.

CBG_flower_insert

White CBG : Magical Mystery Trip?

Now for the adventurous part: Prior, I had yet to sample CBG. This is yet another in the hundreds of cannabinoids we have ahead of us to explore in isolation. Lately CBG has enjoyed its turn in the spotlight in the industry’s round robin game of cannabinoid-of-the-month. CBG, cannabigerol, is the precursor to other cannabinoids and is often called the “stem cell” of the cannbinoid family. It does bind to the CB1 and CB2 receptors, but thus far scientific research on it is spotty. I have heard some claim that CBG has no psychoactive effects, while others claim it does.

Well, I’m here to weigh in now that CBG does too have some psychoactive effects. My White CBG cap says 5.1% delta 8, 12.3% CBG. I have experienced everything else in White CBG many times over, and still feel something distinct every time I puff White CBG, hence by process of elimination it must be the CBG.

White CBG’s aroma is very mild, faintly botanical with a cheese-like aroma. Its taste is also mild, kind of like a veggie salad, but with a strong medicinal aftertaste. That medicine flavor is from the bisabolol, a terpene in common with chamomile flowers, with proven anti-inflammatory effects of its own. White CBG is listed as “hybrid,” but of course that doesn’t tell you much these days.

The effects of White CBG were far milder at the onset and yet gave me what can only be described as a “scholar’s high.” Clear-headed, inspiring, motivating, and energetic. Without feeling “stoned” at all, I was on my feet, ready to tackle business. This is unaccountable from either the delta 8 or the bisabolol, but Botany Farms’ own site does tout an “energy boost” from CBG. I felt ten years younger from the great entourage effects, which are accountable from the terpenes together with the delta 8 THC. Some more traditional sensations from typical cannabis effects did eventually kick in, but for the most part this is flower you should smoke on moving day. It also wears off sooner than your average cannabis session.

We’re flagging CBG for further exploration. This was an experience unique from other isolated cannabinoids we’ve tried so far.

Bottom line: If you want to get grandpa out of his rocking chair and dancing the Lindy Hop to Cab Calloway, slip him some White CBG! Use it for wake-and-bake and you’ll be sunny side up. One of the most intriguing strains I’ve smoked in months.

dispensaries-list-Botany-Farms

Botany Farms is recommended for delta 8 hemp fans

As a standard disclaimer, delta 8 THC is far less potent than regular (“delta 9”) THC. It has similar effects, but just cut in half. The upside is a clearer-headed high that has less of a tendency to trigger negative side effects such as anxiety, panic attacks, foggy concentration, or tiredness. It is often called “diet weed” or “weed lite.” But for daily THC users, especially on dabs and concentrate vaping, delta 8’s effects will be less potent all around, and may feel underwhelming.

Delta 8 hemp is still in its frontier days, but so far Botany Farms points the way forward. This way lies crafty, artisanal hemp with heartland farming standards and a spectrum of effects to suit just about anyone.

Botany Farms in-house pricing starts at $12 / gram, a very reasonable price, and scales up for larger quantities. Since this is delta 8 hemp, shipping is an option! They also distribute to multiple state dispensaries throughout the eastern US, so check the map.

Delta 8 Pharma Grade Review – Nice Flavors, Moderate Effectiveness

pharma grade review

Here, we have the Delta 8 Pharma Grade cartridges. Pharma Grade, affiliated with CBDism, provides a variety of both Delta 8 THC and CBD products. In this review, we’ll talk more about their Delta 8 THC cartridge line, its effectiveness, strength, and its worth. Furthermore, these cartridges overall give a nice and interesting experience.

Pros:

  • Fascinating flavors
  • Good efficiency

Cons:

  • Moderate, somewhat light hits

Delta 8 Pharma Grade cartridges – An overall well and unique experience

Trying a few different D8 strains from Pharma grade, they all give a mellow experience.

Different Pharma Grade cartridge strains

  • Zkittles
  • Pineapple Express
  • Skywalker
  • White Widow
  • Green Crack
  • Gelato
  • Wedding Cake
  • Pink Runtz
  • Banana Kush
  • Alien OG

Pharma-Grade-D8-skywalker-cart

Delta 8 cartridge strains we tried: Pink Runtz, Zkittles, Green Crack

To begin, Pink Runtz gives a very good flavor. Giving a sweet, fruity flavor, this particular strain happens to be my favorite of the three. It gives the most tasteful flavor out of the ones provided, tasting like a rainbow strain. Tastes great, and this strain is a hybrid, highly recommended for those who enjoy fruity flavors.

The strain Zkittles actually gives a more neutral flavor to it. Surprisingly, at least for me, but I expected something of a sweet taste. Zkittles is kind of the opposite, whereas it gives a more piney taste to it. Still tastes decent, but just not as much flavorful terpenes as Pink Runtz.

As for Green Crack, it gives a much more piney, flower taste. Light in terpenes, but you can still taste sweetness.

Pharma Grade provides good strains, each providing their own experience

Pharma Grade provide a variety of strains, each with their own unique flavor. At least with just trying the three strains mentioned above, each delivers a unique flavor for their hybrid/strain.

Delta-8-Pharma-Grade

Somewhat smooth, in comparison to other D8 cartridges

If you’ve read any previous Delta 8 cartridge reviews we’ve done, I’ll always mention how Delta 8 THC is a harsh form of Cannabinoid. At least in my experience, and everyone who has tried these cartridges. But cartridges high in Delta 8 THC are always usually harsher on your throat.

With that being said, Delta 8 Pharma Grade is fairly smooth. Not as harsh as cartridges either high in Delta 8 or infused with BDT(Botanically Derived Terpenes). You may get slightly harsh hits after taking consistent, long hits. But overall, it delivers pretty smooth hits.

Fair hardware, cartridge delivers moderate performance

Overall, the hardware itself delivers fair hits. Doesn’t clog up easily, and should work well in just about any 510 threaded battery. Furthermore, at first, I thought that these cartridges were CCELL. Although they seem to be, they don’t have the imprints like authentic CCELL carts do. Either way, they still deliver some nice hits. Not the thickest smoke, somewhat light if anything, but still fair. You can buy them here. (15% discount promo code: 15OFF)

Effex Review – Smooth and Tasteful Delta 8 & Delta 10 Cartridge

effex

Here in this review, we have something a little different, we have the Effex Delta 10 cartridge. Having tried various Delta 8 THC products before, this specific cartridge is infused with Delta 8 THC and Delta 10. Furthermore, these D10 cartridges overall deliver a nice and fascinating experience. Just as effective as D8 cartridges, without the harsh hits.

In the second half of this review, we will go over their Delta 8 THC Gummies, Rainbow pack gummies. Moreover, these gummies deliver a great experience as well. Very tasteful and pretty effective for Delta 8 gummies. Probably one of the most effective D8 edibles we’ve tried so far.

Pros:

  • Smooth hits
  • Fascinating taste

Cons:

  • None found

Recommendations: Provide more Delta 10 THC infused in the cartridge distillate. Perhaps have a much higher Delta 10/Delta 8 ratio. Also change their hardware to CCELL cartridge hardware.

Effex Delta 10 cartridge delivers a mellow and much smoother experience than Delta 8

effex cartridge
These fascinating cartridges deliver smooth and tasteful hits, just as effective as delta 8 cartridges.

After taking a few hits of this Effex D10 cartridge, these carts deliver a very smooth experience, especially compared to most Delta 8 cartridges. For the most part, unless the Delta 8 cartridge is low in D8 THC, or infused with CBD, D8 cartridges usually deliver harsh hits.

In addition, these cartridges are very effective, compared to all Delta 8 cartridges we’ve tried. Along with that, the flavor of this cartridge is great as well. Not the most effective hardware, but very satisfying and relaxing.

What is Delta 10 THC?

Delta 10 THC may be relevantly new to the market, but it’s not necessarily a new compound. Delta 10 THC is very similar to Delta 8 THC, in which they’re both simply a form of cannabinoid found in hemp. Likewise, very similar to Delta 9 THC, but still a different form of cannabinoid that provides slightly different effects.

Effex Maui Wowie Sativa provides a soothing and relaxing experience

Effex provides two different lines of cartridges, one is pure Delta 8 cartridges and the other line is D8/D10 infused. Providing 3 different strains for their Delta 10 cartridges, here we try Maui Wowie. Additionally, this strain delivers some pleasant and great-tasting hits. Not as potent, nor very flavor dense, but these cartridges do have some measurable effects. Furthermore, they provide a very mellow high, but as with Delta 8 you won’t get nearly as buzzed as a typical THC cartridge. If you’re familiar with a Delta 8 high then you can compare the effects with these cartridges.

Lab results – Fair potency, feels just as effective as Delta 8

effex lab results
As shown above, there really isn’t much Delta 10 infused in this strain. This report shows that within this test, only 3.8% D10 THC was found.
delta 10 thc
With this test, around 30% D10 THC was found. Much more Delta 10 than the first cartridge.

As shown above you can see the cannabinoid percentage and THC ratio between Delta 8 and Delta 10. These lab results are specifically for the strain Maui Wowie. Furthermore, the D8/D10 ratio shows that there’s only around 10-30% of Delta 10 THC. Not having nearly as much as Delta 8, it’s hard to get the full experience of just Delta 10.

Although there’s more Delta 8 THC infused in these Effex cartridges, they still deliver fair effects for what they are. Additionally, these carts feel just as effective as a 90% Delta 8 THC cartridge. Not nearly as strong as a dispensary grade cart, but you still get a light buzz. You can learn more about Effex’s lab results on their official website here.

Effex cartridges are fairly efficient, they use IKrusher hardware

delta 10 cartridge
Although these cartridges are pretty effective and deliver fair hits, they’re not the most efficient.

Effex uses IKrusher cartridges for their hardware. IKrusher is a competent brand that provides decent quality cartridges. Personally, I prefer CCELL cartridges because of their superior quality. IKrusher still works okay, but in my experience it doesn’t hit the strongest or most efficient. Although fairly effective, this cartridge didn’t work that well with some of my dab pens.

Effex Rainbow Pack Delta 8 Gummies – Great taste and quite effective

effex gummies

Effex Delta 8 gummies turned out to be a lot better than I expected. Providing a great taste for all their different flavored gummies, they all taste nice and sweet. Not too sugary, nor does it give the taste that THC edibles would give. This 10 pack gummy comes with 5 different flavors, Strawberry, Mango, Green Apple, Blue Razz, and a mystery flavor. They all taste fascinating, a great little snack.

Furthermore, these D8 gummies actually deliver a moderated high as well. They are the most effective Delta 8 THC edibles I’ve tried so far. Of course, depending on your tolerance and how much you take, it will be different for everyone. But eating half the bag did the trick for me. Especially when mixed with the Effex cartridge itself, these two combined produce pleasant psychoactive effects.

Comparing Delta 10 THC with Delta 8 THC

Again, because this is my first time trying Delta 10 THC, it is a bit difficult to differentiate between its effects and Delta 8. With Effex Delta 10 cartridges being infused with Delta 8, it makes it harder to tell the difference. But, the big difference I noticed between Effex and a cartridge that’s straight Delta 8 is that Effex hits much smoother. Both feel just as effective and relaxing, but Effex Delta 10 produces a unique effect which will be worth investigating later.

Concluding the Effex review

Overall, Effex comes through for our first time trying out Delta 10. Watch this space for our continuing coverage of Delta 10, as we try out some more of these new products just coming out. To learn more about Effex Delta 10 cartridges, you can purchase them on their website

PALLY Delta 8 & Live Resin Carts Review – Great Taste but Low Potency

pally-carts-review-1099x420

Today I will be reviewing 2 types of live resin cartridges: PALLY’s Delta 8 THC & CBD.

PALLY is a company that sells the highest quality product at the highest standards. Their broad spectrum THC-free hemp oil is processed at a world-class laboratory in Oregon. They only use pure uncut oil and cannabis-derived terpenes. PALLY never uses any solvents, cutting agents, or MCT oil in their concentrates.

For those of you who don’t know what Delta 8 is, D8 is an isomer of CBD and another cannabinoid used in hemp and hemp extracts. While Delta 8 and Delta 9 THC have similar names, they are distinctly different in compounds & characteristics. There are clear-cut reasons why D8 THC was made fully federally legal by H.R. 2: The agricultural improvement act of 2018,while D9 THC was limited to a maximum content of 0.3%.

Pros:

  • Good quality oil
  • Great taste
  • Fairly smooth
  • Safe packaging

Cons:

  • Low potency

Recommendations: The potency of the product could be stronger.

Amazing Flavors

For this review, I tried a Delta 8 THC Sour Space Candy Live resin cartridge and a CBD Cherry Abacus Live resin cartridge. After trying both strains I can say that the flavors were amazing. They are really tasty cartridges. The hits were smooth and clean, and after several puffs they weren’t hard on the throat and the flavor remained the same.

Sour Space Candy Delta 8

The first cartridge I opened was Sour Space Candy Delta 8 THC. When I opened the box the first thing I noticed was that the container was child-proof and it worked great. The box listed all the information about the cartridge and oil. There is also a barcode to scan for lab results.

The ingredients in this cartridge are Delta 8 distillate, Hemp flavor, and live resin terpenes.

  • 52.8% Delta 8 THC
  • 13.2% CBD
  • 1.26% CBN
  • 0.73% CBG
  • 3.92% CBC
  • 0.0% Delta 9 THC

pally-delta-8-box-334x420

Standard high-quality CCELL hardware

The hardware used is the most trusted vape cartridge brand. CCELL made from stainless steel, glass, and ceramic. Compatible with all standard 510-thread batteries.

As soon as I opened the package, I could smell how strong the cartridge was, it smelled gassy and piney at first with a sour skunky aroma.

I put the cartridge on my battery and adjusted it to 3.8 for my first hits and settled at 4.1 because the oil was really thick and hit better at the higher temp. The oil quality was good. The color was dark amber with a thick syrupy consistency. The hits were smooth and a total explosion of flavor! I have a high tolerance so one thing I look for is the THC levels, but I look for the flavors too!

pally-delta-8-close-up-308x420

Very clean flavor

In the beginning, you could taste a fresh piney skunky lemon flavor with a gassy diesel sour aftertaste. One thing I noticed is the difference in the flavor between this cartridge and the one I got from Float is that the PALLY delivers a fresher “greener” flavor with no chemical aftertaste at all. They don’t put additives or fillers and no botanical terpenes. That’s why the flavor is so clean and hit after hit, it’s still smooth on my throat.

Low Potency

The Potency wasn’t too high at 52.8% D8-THC and 13.2% CBD. The CBD makes the D8 effects less effective. The cartridge is perfect for people that tend to get paranoid or have anxiety with they use D9THC. The high was really mild and mellow. It didn’t affect me in a body high type. After a full day of using this vape cartridge, I noticed the oil barely went down. That’s a plus because I’ve had other cartridges like the coral reefer from Surterra Wellness that lasted barely a day.

pally-live-resin-box-1469x1536

CBD Cherry Abacus Live resin

I opened the CBD cherry Abacus cartridge around 7 pm when I decided to call it a day. CBD usually gets me tired and If I use it during the day I’ll get grumpy if I get tired. This cartridge’s smell wasn’t as strong as the Sour Space Candy one, but it did have a mild sweet fruity smell. The oil consistency was thick and syrupy with a dark amber color.

Ingredients: hemp flower live resin extract.

  • 22.73% CBDa
  • 32.24% CBD
  • 3.80% CBN
  • 0.64% CBG
  • 3.98% CBC
  • 0.15% Delta9 THC

Clean and smooth puffs

After loading the cartridge on my battery and finding the perfect temperature (4.1v)  I took several puffs. They were clean and smooth, they weren’t harsh on my throat. The flavor was sweet and silky like cherry and strawberry with a piney and sweet aftertaste. There was a lot more cannabis smell and taste compare to distillate carts with non-cannabis-derived terpenes, so those used to more fruit-derived & synthetic terpenes may want to be aware.

As for the effects, I didn’t feel much, sometimes if I get anxiety or insomnia, CBD will help me relax. Some people have reported CBD helped them with pain & others used it for relaxation with a clear focused mental state. In my personal opinion, this affects people differently.

Effects: Mellow, Happy, Creative, Hungry, Relaxed

pally-live-resin-close-up-1369x1536

Concluding our review

I am really impressed with the oil quality and flavor. The package is made from hemp, is childproof, and contains all the information about the oil. Even though their Delta 8 Sour Space Candy cartridge wasn’t as potent as “Delta 8 Hemp” cartridges that stand at 90% D8THC. The oil was really tasty and smooth giving clean hits every time. Therefore both cartridges had amazing taste and I enjoyed vaping both.

As for the Delta 8 Sour Space Candy, I recommend this cartridge if you want a mild high and want to use it any time of the day. It isn’t super strong so you can go and have a full day and still get a mild buzz/high from it.

As for the Cherry Abacus, the flavor was amazing, if you are someone that uses CBD on a daily basis this is definitely a good flavor and great oil quality. HD Streamz for PC

Overall I was happy with both of PALLY’s live resin cartridges. In other words, if you ask me if I would buy their products again the answer is yes.

You can find out more about PALLY products here. Have you tried some of them? Let us know what you think in the comments or on our forum.

PALLY Delta 8 Gummies Review – Great Flavor but Expensive

pally-gummies-review-1536x634

Today I will be checking out 2 types of edibles made by PALLY. Delta 8 THC-infused gummies and CBG-infused gummies.

Pros:

  • Great flavor
  • Vegan
  • Gluten-free
  • All Natural

Cons:

  • Price
  • Packaging isn’t child-proof

Recommendations: Consider lowering the price or add more gummies. Improve packaging to make it child-proof.

I decided on taking both gummies together because the CBG are THC free so I wouldn’t get too high or fall asleep. The package was nice and the Label contained all the ingredients. You could also scan the package with a phone to get the lab results. One thing I did notice was that the package wasn’t child-proof so be careful storing them if you have children.

Gummies are really sweet and juicy

The gummies were colorful wedges with a light sugar coating, each color had a distinctive flavor. I was going to take 3 and 3 but I ended up taking 5 of each strain. They were really sweet, juicy and you could taste the real fruit flavor in them. They weren’t just good they tasted delicious.

I’ve had several brands of Delta 8 gummies before like D8 Blue Raspberry gummies by Better Delights. Or Pharma CBD D8 gummies that are watermelon flavor and they both tasty, however, not as good as the PALLY gummies. Some Delta8 gummies just taste like regular gummies but with a faint earthy cannabis aftertaste. So when I tried PALLY I was surprised at how tasty they are.

pally-gummies-1152x1536

Effects are calming and relaxing

About 40-45 mins after I ate the gummies I started to feel a mild high from the Delta 8. It wasn’t like I was high or super stoned, but I definitely felt calming effects and really relaxed. I could say I was a bit stoned without being impaired, super tired, or anxious. ( Some people report paranoia or anxiety attacks when they use delta 9 THC.)

The day was nice and I felt relaxed but still able to do chores. It wasn’t like when you eat a Delta 9 THC edible and your day is over and you’re high for hours. With this Delta 8, 100mg got me mellow enough to feel them but I remained in total control, 2 hours into them, and the effects started to wear off. 3 hours and I was able to drive. I did get the munchies and decided on taking a nap after eating.

As for the CBG I decided to take 2 more gummies the next day in the morning, 1 at night, and the last 2 on the 3rd morning. I like the fact that CBG is an anti-inflammatory and can help with my lower back pain. The days I ate the CBG gummies I didn’t need to take any Tylenol.

Effects:

  • Mellow
  • Happy
  • Creative
  • Hungry
  • Relaxed

The Delta 8 THC levels are 20mg per gummy.

The CBG levels are 20mg per gummy.

Concluding our PALLY gummies review

When it comes to flavor both PALLY gummies tasted awesome! They use the best products and that’s why I think they’re so tasty. As for price at $19.99 for 10 gummies is $2.00 each if you compare it with the pharma CBD D8 that sells 2 for $5 so $2.50 apiece the price is average to other brands. As for the CBG I wish they were cheaper ($19.99 for 10)  I do think CBG is a great product and I would buy it as anti-inflammatory medicine if needed. The Delta 8 gummies worked good too.

I would recommend them for people that like to get just a little bit high or beginners. Some people get panic attacks or paranoid when high so it’s better for them to use D8 products because they will still get mellow and high without the paranoia. I liked these gummies and I will buy them again as well.

Hemp Living USA CBD / Delta 8 Flower : Better Than Nothing for Iowa

delta-8-at-Valley-Junction-1024x576

Greetings from the remote wilds of the Midwest, far behind the rows of corn and aroma of hog farms. When it comes to legalization, Iowa is one of the bottom ten states for cannabis legalization progress. Even though we poll and vote, even though most lawmakers are on our side, it’s still an uphill battle.

The few vape and head shops we can find try their best to meet demand, but even the 100% legal operations get harassed “just because.” Recently we have gotten the Iowa Hemp Statute as of December 2020, which is a grudging token gesture of what little they are decriminalizing only because they absolutely have to.

In this oppressive weed desert, you take what you can get. So I was absolutely overjoyed to discover CBD / delta 8 on the shelf at a local vape shop, Great Alternatives II at historic Valley Junction – right by the red caboose. And it was hemp flower, no less.

Pros

  • Potent effects for CBD / delta 8
  • Reasonable price
  • Energetic and uplifting entourage effect
  • Available here for now

Cons

  • It’s still hemp
  • Low quality
  • Not likely to stick around in this legal climate

Recommendations: Larger quantities than 1G would be nice. Work on that flavor.

Update: Hemp Living USA has turned into a very sketch company!

Way back when we made this review, your choices for flower in Iowa were about exactly zilch. Since then, companies have discovered that they can ship just about any cannabis product anywhere as long as it is “hemp-derived” (from cannabis with <0.3% D9THC). Meanwhile, I signed up for Hemp Living USA’s mailing list. And they’ve just about gone full “gas station” mode.

Hemp-Living-Cake

For one thing, they’re hyping Cake cartridges. Cake is not only a sketch brand, it is one of those illegal brands that are aggressively pushed with social media shilling and unsourced mystery oil from who-knows-what. So I’m really not recommending Hemp Living USA anymore. For better hemp flower that ships to Iowa, Botany Farms has our recommended seal of approval.

Take this review with a grain of salt!

This is Iowa we’re talking about. Chances are this product wouldn’t attract much praise in a swinging fully-legalized state, but finding it in the heart of Des Moines is like reporting a unicorn sighting.

With that said, may I address my fellow old farts for a sidebar? Being Generation X, I remember the height of prohibition and how we were glad to get our hands on anything. Doubtless we veterans have blazed a few questionable crops on the all-black-market in our time. What I’m saying is, give hemp a chance. Modern cannabis and hemp agriculture has disassembled this plant to its founding cannabinoids and terpenes and rebuilt it as bionic weed. What we now consider the lower end of the cannabis spectrum still probably passes for decent weed compared to the ditchweed we used to score from the corner plug. The most venerated stoner back then could name, what, two strains of weed? Cannabis strains have pedigrees and coats of arms now.

Hemp_Living_USA_1G_flower_3-1536x1158

This is also my first time trying (drum roll) delta 8! I have to admit, I see what all the fuss is about now. While other DabConnection staff reviewers have been latching on to the new delta 8 trend, I’ve held back, skeptical about the reported “milder effects,” thinking that I’d be disappointed.

But really, when it’s potent enough, you can see delta 8 as “diet weed” or “weed lite.” Truly and surely, it is not as potent in the brain-buzz department as full-on THC. But it does have a traceable effect, much stronger than CBD by itself. You definitely feel it, but instead of describing it as “weaker” I’d just call it “different.” It’s weed without the “stoned” part! Now sure, I’m a fan of THC as much as the next person, but I actually like it better when I can enjoy an experience and still get something done too. I’m too much of a workaholic to enjoy being plastered to the couch too dumb to even follow Rick and Morty. I like delta 8 fine, and I’d still like it even if I was in a state with a full-on adult-use dispo on every corner. Not to say I’d use delta 8 exclusively, but it suits my busy-bee lifestyle.

Meet Hemp Living CBD / Delta 8 Hemp Flower

I got two 1-gram mini-cans of flower, one Hybrid (Girl Scout Cookies) and one Sativa (Blue Dream). These are made by Hemp Living USA in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin (license 475321-HP). They are a gram apiece of hemp flower which says that it’s “keif-infused,” which certainly helps on the potency department.

Stats: Both the Girl Scout Cookies and the Blue Dream report CBD 17%, delta 8 18%, THC 0.1%. Now, what do cannabis strains even mean when you’re talking about hemp? It is indeed possible to create hemp counterparts of popular cannabis strains, via either selective breeding from the original strain or splicing it with hemp and selecting the phenotypes from there.

Hemp_Living_USA_1G_flower_4-1536x1476

Both strains were therapeutic for the body and energetic for the mind

I started with the hybrid, GSC. It took smoking (yes, in a pipe, like a savage) half a gram before the effects really kicked in in full. The CBD sank into my bones like a welcome sauna, cracking joints I forgot I had. The delta 8 apologized to my endocannbinoid system for not being real THC but did its best to make it up to me anyway, resulting in a mild, tingly buzz I’d describe more as “really strong coffee” than “weak weed.” But oh my goodness did I feel great! Ten years younger. Had to resist the urge to do cartwheels. Part of that is attributed to the caryophyllene, the dominant terpene of this strain.

Next day it was the sativa’s turn, the Blue Dream. Seeing as how the hybrid went into my system like wildfire, I was bracing myself for the impact of a strain leaning even further to the Indica end of the spectrum. No need to worry, as I forgot that myrcene is the dominant terpene of Blue Dream, and in fact it had more potent, THC-like effects than the Girl Scouts. Since delta 8 on its best day doesn’t fit all your endocannabinoid receptors’ sockets, the myrcene worked together with it to convince me that this was “I Can’t Believe It’s Not THC!” It was still energetic, but with a mild whiff of an actual “stoned” sensation after, again, half a gram. It was still therapeutic on the body level, since CBD is CBD no matter what strain.

Neither strain left me with the annoying fuzzy-headedness that actual THC marijuana would. Both of them were crack-of-dawn, rise-and-shine, morning strains, pairing well with an espresso shot.

The flavor was OK for hemp

Honestly, neither strain was anything I’d write home about in the flavor department, but I’m trying to be nice. This is hemp, after all, and the overriding taste of hemp itself is that of grass. But of the two strains, the Girl Scout Cookies was mildly sour and tangy, no sweetness coming through at all. The Blue Dream was far tastier, with an earthy, skunky character and a hint of chocolate. This is a different experience from either strain if you’d have them in full THC form.

But let’s not kid ourselves; hemp tastes like grass, and the best terpene genes cultivation science has to offer can only elevate it to seasoned grass. The Midwest is still taking baby steps towards a cannabis industry, so we’re tasting the earliest efforts of cultivators. The best is yet to come.

What a reasonable price!

A mere $13 per gram is the cheapest herb you could ask for under the circumstances, I’d think. It’s the average going price for medical flower in most states, but taking into account that this was Iowa, I consider myself lucky that I didn’t have to part with major limbs for the privilege.

The future of delta-8 hemp in Iowa?

Excited at my discovery, your humble author drove all over town to investigate other vape / smoke / head shops in Des Moines. Besides Great Alternatives, there is one other place in the heart of downtown at 4th and Walnut named “Despensary,” which boldly claims that they can ship hemp flower delta 8. I might try them on that sometimes.

Most shops do not carry hemp flower, but several do stock vapes. Iowa is in a spot where they’re trying to allow better medical support and a hemp crop, but on the other hand wants to ban CBD, delta 8, vapes, even pet treats with CBD! So how long this lasts is anybody’s guess. Great Alternatives II, Valley Junction has my vote for the time being.

In conclusion, until Iowa joins the nation-wide bandwagon on the legalization front, this is one of the only retail flower experiences you’re going to get without the 3-hour drive to Illinois. And who wants to do that with gas prices the way they are now?

Readers, have you, too, experienced the novelty of delta 8 / CBD hemp flower? Is this perhaps the true herb for our times? Weigh in with your two cents here in the comments or in our classy little forum hangout.

Qwin Delta 8 Cartridge Review -Fascinating Flavors and Delta 8 Strains

0
qwin delta 8

In this review, we have Qwin Delta 8 cartridges. The company Qwin focuses on a wide variety of high quality products, from Delta 8 THC to CBD products. Moreover, here we try their originals strain D8 THC cartridges. With each cartridge providing its unique and tasteful flavor, these carts overall give a fascinating experience.

Pros:

  • Great taste on all strains
  • Effective Delta 8
  • Efficient oil
  • Good potency
  • Fairly smooth

Cons

  • Nothing found

Qwin Delta 8 cartridges provide great taste and fair effects

After testing a variety of different strains from Qwin Delta 8, they all deliver fairly smooth hits and great tasting flavors. Each strain giving its own unique taste, they all give an amazing flavor. Some taste sweeter than others, but each cartridge lives up to its strain. Furthermore, these carts do provide decent effects and fair potency. But when it comes to flavor, Qwin D8 cartridges won’t disappoint you.

Fair potency and efficient oil quality

delta 8 thc cartridge
Smooth and fairly potent, Qwin delta 8 provides clean and high-quality Delta 8 THC.

As shown below, Qwin Delta 8 tested for 89% D8 THC. Pretty high in D8, Qwin cartridges are fairly effective and very efficient. Although Qwin D8 cartridges aren’t the most potent Delta 8 carts out in the market, nor the smoothest, these cartridges give a nice buzz and a good experience.

Qwin Delta 8 Cartridge Strains:

qwin delta 8
All of the Qwin Delta 8 cartridges we tested in this review.

Qwin Delta 8 provides a wide variety of strains for their D8 cartridges. Having a total of 10 different strains, Qwin provides 2 different types of D8 cartridges. First, their original series next is their kush series. Here, we test most of their originals and just one of their kush series cartridge. Providing a unique taste per strain, they all give a great flavor and effects.

Thug Passion (Sativa) (Kush Series)

This specific strain is the only one in this review that is a part of the Qwin Delta 8 kush series. Unlike their original series, Thug Passions provides more of a piney flavor than the other cartridges. Tasting piney and more like herbs, this strain also gives a fruity and sweet flavor as well. Furthermore, this cartridge has genetics from the strain Jack Herer and is Sativa-dominant as well. If you prefer a D8 cartridge that provides a piney and kush flavor, along with a sweet taste, Thug Passion is a great option. I enjoyed this a lot.

Moonies (Indica) D8 Cartridge

Providing smooth hits and satisfying taste, Moonies gives a nice and light berry flavor. Fairly smooth, yet flavorful, Moonies is an Indica-dominant strain that has a blueberry and grape flavor. Furthermore, this strain gives an overall soothing and mellow experience.

Rainbow Kush (Indica)

Rainbow Kush delivers a great experience in flavor,  more of a sweeter taste. Also smooth and just as effective, but the flavor of this cartridge really is amazing. This cartridge gives a nice and sweet flavor, kind of like sweet candy. I definitely recommend this strain for those who enjoy sweet flavor strains.

Orange Squeeze (Sativa)

As you would expect, Orange Squeeze gives a nice, citrusy flavor. You don’t taste much of an orange flavor, but regardless it still provides a great, fairly sweet taste. Smooth in hits and light in taste, this particular strain is good for those looking for fruit, specifically orange flavor.

Fruity Gangster (Indica)

This strain also delivers a good sweet, and smooth flavor. All strains again are pretty smooth, but Fruity Gangster gives a stronger, sweet taste to it. Again, as with all the other strains, this cartridge hits quite smooth and is effective as well.

Lychee-Do (Indica)

Lychee-Do has to be one of the most tasteful in my experience. Of course, we all obtain different preferences, but this strain gives a wonderful, sweet flavor. Very smooth and packed with flavor, this cartridge gives a nice berry taste to it. I highly recommend this strain for those who prefer kush flavors.

Qwin Delta 8 cartridges use IKrusher hardware

IKrusher hardware is a fair cartridge. Moreover, it provides efficient hits and some nice clouds when used with the right battery. Qwin also provides a 510 threaded cartridge of their own. For a separate cost of $10, that’s not bad of a price at all for the battery.

Good value for a great Delta 8 cartridge

The price of these cartridges go for $45 per cartridge, which is a fair price. Although there are plenty of inexpensive D8 cartridges that go for $20-$35, I’ve noticed that the $40 price range you get some great quality cartridges. You can also purchase a bundle of either their Kush or Original series and save yourself around ⅓ of the original price, which is a great deal.

Overall, Qwin Delta 8 cartridges provide a great experience

Regardless of which strain you decide to purchase, Qwin Delta 8 delivers a fascinating experience. These smooth cartridges each provide a great taste and their own unique flavors. Along with that is their good quality D8 oil, effective and very efficient. An overall great experience if you want a

Pharma CBD D8 Gummy Review – Tasteful Delta 8 Edibles

0
pharma cbd d8 gummy

Here in this review, we have the Pharma CBD D8 gummy. Having tried the Pharma CBD D8 cartridge, here we try some Delta 8 THC edibles for the first time. Being something new to us in DabConnection, these gummies provide a nice taste and a great snack. Not nearly as effective as the cartridge, but still a good flavor to it.

Pros:

  • Nice, sour taste
  • Great snack
  • An alternative way to consume Delta 8

Cons:

  • Not as effective as the cartridge

Check out our video review below, and read more on the PharmaCBD D8 Gummy:

Pharma CBD D8 Gummy – Good taste, not the most effective

pharma cbd d8 gummy
These low-calorie D8 gummy provide 20mg of Delta8 THC for two gummies.

Having tested a variety of types of Delta 8 THC and knowing its effects, I figured that Delta 8 gummies wouldn’t give as strong of effects. Furthermore, after trying them and waiting a few hours, they may have given a slight and relaxing feeling. Not as potent, and some might not even feel a strong high off it. But these do give a good taste to it.

Delta 8 Gummy Watermelon Rings – Nice sour taste

delta 8 edibles
Watermelon Rings, Delta 8 THC gummies

Without a doubt, the flavor of this Pharma CBD D8 gummy is pretty good, tastes exactly how you would expect it. Tasting just like a sour watermelon gummy, these gummies just taste give a candy flavor. Unlike a THC edible, where it’ll sometimes leave a strong flower-like or dense aftertaste. Besides that, these edibles simply tasted like a watermelon gummy.

Pharma CBD D8 Gummy isn’t as effective as their cartridge

pharma cbd
Comparing Pharma CBD D8 Gummy with their D8 cartridge, the cartridge is much more effective.

Although both provide very light effects, the Pharma CBD D8 cartridge is a bit more effective than their gummies. Unlike the gummies, you can actually feel nice and slight effects with the D8 cartridge. Whereas, with these gummies, you won’t feel much effects or a high like you’d expect. Perhaps if you take a lot of gummies in a sitting, but the cartridge is again a lot more effective and efficient.

Different application methods of Delta 8 THC

Here on DabConnection, we’ve tried a variety of Delta 8 products. Mainly, a wide variety of delta  8 cartridges. From high levels of D8 THC to one’s that are much lighter in potency as well. We’ve also tested Delta Alternatives Tincture, but it didn’t feel as effective either. Between the tincture and edibles, Pharma CBD D8 gummy is much more enjoyable. But the cartridges again are much more effective. In our Best Delta 8 cartridges list, we talk about which one is cartridge more effective, efficient, and valuable.

Concluding Pharma CBD D8 Gummy

Overall, these Delta 8 gummies are a great snack for a pretty nice value. The price for a 2 pack goes for $5, which is pretty good for some CBD/D8 gummies. As you purchase more (6ct, 15ct, 30ct) it costs less in price. And as mentioned earlier, they may not be effective but are a great and tasteful alternative to consuming Delta 8 THC. You can learn more about Pharma CBD gummy and all of their D8 products here.

Your Top Six Questions About Delta 8

0
Delta_8_trends

Delta 8! We haven’t seen this much hype for a cannabis derivative since the invention of vapes. Settle down, folks. It’s not going to run away. Let’s dive into some common questions you all have about delta 8, starting with…

Delta-8-vs-Delta-9-THC

What is Delta 8?

Delta 8 THC is a cannabinoid found in marijuana. The regular THC that we all know and love is officially known as delta 9 THC. If you see in the diagram above, the two molecules are nearly identical save for a small structural variation in the bond between a couple carbon atoms. Like all cannabinoids, the difference in how they hit you depends on how they interact with your body’s natural cannabinoid receptors.

The regular THC binds to one kind of receptor and CBD binds to another. Halfway between the two, delta 8 THC binds to both the THC and CBD receptors. The effects are mostly like THC, but with a much milder and shorter-lasting high. We should also note that while THC must come from marijuana proper, CBD and delta 8 THC can be derived from hemp.

Because of the US Farm Bills launched by then-president Obama, derivatives of the hemp plant have a greater legal status in the United States and are Federally legal while individual states can set their legality. THC and marijuana are illegal on the federal level, while delta 8 and CBD are legal, with restrictions.

Obama_signing_bill

Is Delta 8 Legal?

For the most part, yes, but some restrictions apply. Even though delta 8 is legal at the Federal level, individual state have banned either delta 8 or hemp-derived products in general. Those states are:

  • Alaska

  • Arizona
  • Arkansas
  • Colorado
  • Delaware
  • Idaho
  • Iowa
  • Mississippi
  • Montana
  • Rhode Island
  • Utah

The hype in the media is around this “new” way of getting “legally high.” The lack of federal prohibition for delta 8 means that you can manufacture it, sell it, ship it across state lines, tax it, insure it, etc. Everything you can’t do with marijuana but wish you could.

While we’re on the subject of legality: YES, delta 8 will definitely show up in a drug test! Any screening used for regular marijuana can also detect delta 8 in your system.

Does Delta 8 Get You High?

That’s the big question! YES IT DOES! But this sensation is not at all like THC. It feels more like a half-way buzz, lighter and also less disorienting, and lasting for a shorter time. It’s like Marijuana Lite, less filling, tastes great! As shown in the video above, delta 8 is typically marketed to people who suffer side effects from full-on THC, like anxiety and paranoia.

However, the “paranoia” might be due to the fact that you can enjoy it without worrying about police strormtroopers kicking down your door!

Just so you know, delta 8 has always been present in cannabis and hemp. It’s just there in minute quantities. Same with CBD, until we isolated hemp strains and started selectively breeding for it.

Let’s also not forget the magic power of industrial production and concentration. Companies have been working on delta 8 with their top lab techs to concentrate and distill delta 8 to its maximum potency. So you definitely feel something, but you’re also not baked into the couch like with regular marijuana.

Delta-8-Infographic-800

Does Delta 8 Have Health Benefits?

There are lots of claims of delta 8 health benefits, and so far some health claims are the subject of promising research. Here’s a few:

As we always advise here at DabConnection: Ask your doctor! Or conduct research with established medical findings. As with all cannabis-related chemicals, you will find some quackery going on in the fringes. Don’t rely on it to cure COVID or something.

Currently we don’t have conclusive research on delta 8 being beneficial in the treatment of some ailments. However, given that it binds to both THC and CBD receptors, and THC and CBD do have some medical applications, it stands to reason that delta 8 could have potential along the same vein.

best delta 8

What Are the Best Delta 8 Brands?

We’re so glad you asked! Our DabConnection staff reviewers have been puffing away on every delta 8 vape cartridge brand we can find, and our findings are right in our delta 8 review category. We have also assembled a list of the top delta 8 cartridge brands we have discovered so far. That list is subject to change, but currently we like:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdP_WdfDIjI

Does Delta 8 Come in Anything But a Distillate or Concentrate Cartridge?

There is no delta 8 flower, if that’s what you’re asking. Smoking regular industrial-grade hemp won’t get you much of anything. However, we’re still at the beginning of delta 8 hype, and cultivators are striving to breed strains of the plant with maxed-out delta 8 concentration, so stay tuned!

Delta 8, just like any cannabinoid, is extracted from the plant and then concentrated for consumption. It is also possible to blend it with other cannabis derivatives like terpenes and CBD. Besides just vaping cartridges, delta 8 concentrate is available in dabs and edible gummies. There’s also delta 8 concentrate in tincture form.

Readers, Tell Us More About Delta 8!

We like delta 8 here ourselves, judging from the contented grins on our reviewers’ faces. But we never expected delta 8 to blow up like it has. Does anybody out there actually prefer delta 8 to regular THC? Is it better to you than CBD? Have you tried it with terpenes? Do you experience an Entourage Effect from delta 8?
