TRE House THC-P Disposables and Gummies Review – Lovely Stuff

tre house disposables thcp review

Always excited to get something from Ethereal Gold

I have reviewed a number of vapes lately and purchased a few others. I smiled at the marketing materials of this latest batch from Ethereal Gold, and I audibly commented when I got through the packaging. In other words, these TRE House vapes got my attention.

The packaging for the TRE House vapes is darling. When I pulled the first vape out of the house-shaped box I verbally noted, “Sexy.” I really love the sleek look and feel of these 2-gram disposable pens. I received the White Widow Hybrid and the Lemon Jack Sativa. I definitely like the taste of the hybrid more. I am a flower girl of 50 years. The more products taste like weed the more I like it. The Sativa was fruitier.

My initial complaint was that the vapes aren’t labeled so once I took them out of the packaging I didn’t have the freedom of choosing – I want a Sativa now and I’ll do some of the Indica or hybrid at bedtime. They are identical. However, I realized right away that I could at least tell them apart by flavor. I could taste the Sativa fruitiness right away.

Tasted good until they got to the 1/4 of the tanks

I loved these vapes until they got down to the last quarter of the tanks. Then they tasted bad, truly awful – not fun to pull on. That’s a real turn-off. Too bad. Aesthetically and practically (Size, battery power, function) they were a ten for me.

On the upside, Ethereal Gold had also sent a jar of gummies with the vapes – Tre House D8+HHC+THC-P gummies – Tropical Mango flavored, 35mg/700mg per bottle. Now please don’t assume that since I am a professional reviewer I know what all those letters mean. I really don’t. I am you – trying a product and relating how I feel about it. Definitely do your own research about the products you wish to try. I do hope my reviews help in some way though. You can find out more about THC-P here

tre house gummies

The gummies were a blast

These are possibly the best-tasting gummies I have had in years. Besides the delicious flavor, I happily noted that they weren’t covered in sugar granules like most gummies, They were smooth, which made them nicer to handle – no mess all over your hands and stuff. I am thrilled to tell you that there is no corn syrup in this product! Good job TRE House! It infuriates me when companies put toxic stuff in healthful, helpful products. TRE House got this just right! I would definitely recommend these proudly.

I found a balance between 2 or 3 gummies for a very pleasant, zenish high. Very nice. Loved them!

Smilyn Edibles Revisited | A Mixed Basket

Smilyn-Edibles-Revisited

Smilyn is a name brand in cannabis products well-known to our frequent readers. Among several reviews by our staff, we’ve covered everything Smilyn from vapes to edibles, while so far I have just done one Smilyn review, covering some edibles a while back. Compared to other cannabis edibles brands – legions of which line the shelves of every dispensary and a few vape shops besides – Smilyn has always taken a back seat with me, and I’m afraid they haven’t improved much now that I revisit them. But here we are with Easter rolling into 4/20, so I’ll put on the bunny ears and review them with an open mind.

Full video breakdown of the Smilyn edible line-up here.

Pros:

  • The chocolate bar was the best
  • THC edibles are at least effective
  • More consistent packaging than last time

Cons:

  • Bottom-of-the-barrel quality standards
  • Mushroom gummies were a dud in terms of effects
  • D9/CBG gushers were like chewing an eraser

Recommendations: Work on the freshness or inventory rotation.

The Chocolate Bar Was the Best of the Basket

At 150 MG of Live Resin THC, the chocolate bar comes in 15 squares you can break off for exact dosing. This chocolate bar was good enough to make me wonder how it came from Smilyn. The effects are potent at the 60mg I tried. I could feel the live resin and entourage, in a happy warm glow that lasted all evening. The candy is S’Mores flavor, if you’re wondering what the little white things are, that’s marshmallows.

The candy quality itself was pretty low, but considered passable for American chocolate. If you’re asking what the deal is with American chocolate, Cracked.com has your answer. Basically the US standard for chocolate is well below European regulations. This is the same chocolate grade you’d find in a Dollar Tree hollow bunny.

Anyway, if this was just about the chocolate bar, it would rate at least an 8/10 from me. As long as I have live resin THC effects, I don’t expect Willy Wonka.

Smilyn-Strawberry-Gushers-3

The THC/CBG Strawberry Gushers Were Gross But Effective

These have a combination of delta 9 THC and CBG, a niche cannabinoid with mild effects but gives me a tingle of mental stimulation as I mention in my altnoid guide. Generally I’m a CBG fan. In terms of effects, these seem to be close to the potency as labeled, so a couple of these is equal to about 60mg of cannabinoids, half of that only mildly psychoactive. It gave me about what I expect in effects, albeit they are decidedly not the full spectrum.

As candy itself though, I almost wanted to send them back. They are purported to be strawberry gushers, see, with a description that suggests a liquid center. Well, they must have dried up by the time they got to me. Furthermore, these were not any kind of gummy texture, but a pallid and chewy substance halfway between a candle and an eraser. Only a dim ghost of strawberry flavoring, a red stain, dwells at its long-dead heart. They taste like a second divorce. This is a great way to regulate your dosage so you don’t take too much at once. You have to weigh whether having a nice buzz for a few hours is worth choking down four of them in a row.

The Strawberry Gushers get my rating of a flat 4/10, starting from a 5/10 for being “oppressively mediocre” and then taking an extra point off because how do you get cannabis gummies wrong in 2023?

The Happy Mush Mushroom Gummies Had No Effect

Finally, we get to the new kid on the block, and an experience in my continued mushroom explorations which I had to check out once. The bottom line, these had no noticeable effect for me. Recall back to the Boom Boyz Amanita Regalis caps review, I at least felt an inkling of mushroom trippiness, but at a microdose of around 1.75 grams of dried caps boiled into tea. Investigating the reports of others tells me that for truly tripping, I may need to get up into the 10 grams range.

The Happy Mush gummies say they are “350mg” per piece, but I don’t know if that’s active ingredients or just bulk mushroom material. At 12 pieces per jar, that makes the whole jar 4200mg. I ate 6 in one sitting lasting over a couple hours: Taking a couple and then sat patiently waiting, took a couple more, etc. Zip, zilch, zero effects! They are notably devoid of euphoria for having the word “euphoric” right on the label.

In terms of edible quality, these are best compared to dried-out strawberry chews. But that’s beside the point of not accomplishing objective one in the first place. Overall, these would get 1-4/10 rating from me. However, I’m not counting this as a fault because we have some considerations for the factors:

  • Mushroom edibles are still in the experimental stage
  • *I’m* still in the experimental stage when it comes to Amanitas
  • I might have an insane tolerance to muscimol
  • Everybody’s experience is different
  • Might still have some use as a microdose supplement

From the general consensus I gather in the fungus-friendly reaches of the web, I hear that most users agree that mushroom gummies from any brand just don’t cut it, and I’m better off with the caps. As I say, I wanted to try the gummies as a control experiment against my caps experience.

Smilyn Needs Some Quality Control

Back in my Munchies Week Gummy Ranking video, I ranked Smilyn at the bottom of the competition, while still contending that they’re at least passable sometimes. I am disappointed to report that my ranking hasn’t changed. This degree of consistency is unusual in the cannabis industry, so I had hoped they’d improved. I’m not the only reviewer here to give Smilyn mixed reviews, either. So sometimes, like with the chocolate bar, they at least meet expectations, but when Smilyn fails, it fails with a crash.

Readers, find out the menagerie of Smilyn products here, and then drop off your thoughts on Smilyn edibles here in the comments or in our pan-lifestyle-acceptance forum.

THC-O

0

THC acetate ester (THC-O-acetateTHC acetateO-acetyl-THCTHC-OATHC) is the acetate ester of THC.

THC acetate ester (THC-O or THCOA) can be synthesized from THC,[1][2] or from THCA. The acetylation of THC does not change the properties of the compound to the same extent as with other acetate esters, as the parent compound (THC) is already highly lipophilic, but the potency is nonetheless increased to some extent. While the acetate ester of delta-9-THC is the best studied, the acetate esters of other isomers, especially delta-8-THC but also delta-10-THC are also known, as other esters such as THC-O-phosphateTHC hemisuccinate, and THC morpholinylbutyrate.

In 2023 THCO got banned in the USA by DEA. You can read more about that here

Dragon Hemp Gummies Review: Tastes Great and Completes the Task

0
dragon hemp review

I’ve been trying to replace many of my everyday medicines with more holistic alternatives like CBD. My most significant issues have been with three things. Remaining calm, staying energized, and getting enough sleep. Thankfully, Dragon Hemp has me covered with a line of gummies that care for many ailments. I tried the Chill, Energy, and Sleep gummies. And, because sleep is essential, I also tried the Rest Sleep Support Full Spectrum Hemp Oil. I got some rest, but did I feel energized and chilled out? Kind of. Let’s get into it.

Pros:

  • Potent
  • Great taste
  • Great Effects

Cons:

  • A bit pricey

Recommendations: None

dragon hemp gummies

Very potent, so be cautious with the “Chill” gummies

I feel like the word “Chill” is subjective. One person’s idea of chill might be totally different from another’s. My definition of chill is being at ease enough to relax. You’re functional, but little stuff that might normally send you into a tailspin might not seem so bad when you’re chilled out. Being super obliterated isn’t necessarily my idea of chill. And if you pop too many of the Chill gummies you’ll differently be in outer space.

The gummies are 40mg each with 5:1 active cannabinoids and a Delta-9 blend. One was enough to get me pretty stoned, and two would probably be pushing it. The Energy and Sleep gummies are Delta-9 free, so they won’t get you zapped. Energy has 5mg THCV and 5mg CBC, while Sleep has 20mg CBD and 5mg CBN.

The gummies have a luxe taste with unique flavors

For me, gummies are all about flavor. I don’t want to bite into what tastes like a giant candy nug. Dragon Hemp has great flavors. Energy is a delicious orange cream, Chill is a tangy grapefruit, and Sleep is blackberry lavender. Sleep is definitely my favorite of all three.

The Hemp Oil has a smooth hemp taste and goes down smoothly.

Dragon Hemp helped me catch some zzzs and feel more focused

Every product I tried did what was intended. As I mentioned before, chill packed a little more punch than I expected,  but everything worked pretty well. The Energy gummies say they “enhance stamina.” I ate one early in the day and I felt a little more pep in my step than usual, which makes it a great replacement for morning coffee. I’d definitely use the Chill gummies on a day you don’t have much to do. I wouldn’t pop one of these on a stressful day at work if you’re trying to be productive.

I took a sleep gummy and a dropper of the Sleep Support CBD oil. The CBD oil is pretty potent by itself at 1800mg per 1oz. I took both so within an hour I was nodding off. I slept throughout the night without any interruptions besides waking up to my cats’ 3 a.m. zoomies. I’d say the gummies were a success. So, the verdict is these are super high-quality gummies that get the job done. They’re a little on the expensive side, but the price is worth the quality. The Energy gummies are $60, the Sleep gummies are $50 and the Chill gummies start from $40. The tincture is a steeper price of $90.

Aeriz THC Cart Review: No Flavor and Too Expensive

aeriz cart review

If you’re looking for a lowkey high then the Aeriz Element Vape might be the right choice for you. But, if you’re looking for a vape experience that’s a whirlwind of flavor and euphoria then you might want to skip this one. I tried the Banana Biscotti Sundae flavor and it didn’t taste like Banana or Biscotti (whatever Biscotti would taste like). The high isn’t too much to write home about, but it gets the job done. So, what’s the 411 on the Aeriz Banana Biscotti Sundae? I’ll break it down.

Pros:

  • Great packaging
  • Calm effects

Cons:

  • Expensive
  • No taste

Recommendations: Make it more flavorful

aeriz cart

The packaging is fun and easy to open

If you’ve caught any of my other reviews, you know I love a good package. The packaging for this Aeriz vape is fun and intergalactic. Plus, there are instructions to open it. So, even if you’re already blasted before opening the cart, you’ll have steps right on the package to get to your cart even with half of a brain cell left.

aeriz box

Mid effects for a pricier THC cartridge

The Aeriz cart is 0.5g and has 75.78% Delta 9 THC. Depending on where you go the cart will run you about $50, which is kind of on the pricey side for a half gram. The vaping experience is pretty smooth. I didn’t cough much, but when I did I definitely felt myself get a bit higher. Even with a few coughs, I wouldn’t say the high is extravagant, but it got the job done.

This definitely isn’t a super euphoric high, but I also didn’t feel sleepy or energetic. It was a functioning effect that could be great for a quick on-the-go sesh.

aeriz cart

The cart doesn’t taste like banana or biscotti

The cart doesn’t taste like banana, biscotti, or a sundae. It doesn’t even taste like THC oil…it tastes like nothing at all. If you’re looking for a flavorful vape, this isn’t the one for you. I like my vapes to taste like SOMETHING. Even if tastes like a big THC cloud, that’s better than nothing.

Aeriz usually has some pretty good flavors, so the complete lack of flavor for this one was disappointing.

Basically, the Aeriz Banana Biscotti Sundae Element cartridge was lackluster for the price. I probably won’t buy this one again, but Aeriz usually does better.

EightySix Brand THC-O Soda Review – Classic High with a Potent Twist

0
thco soda review

IMPORTANT UPDATE: THCO (and its isomers) are now banned by the DEA. Unlike the majority of cannabinoids, THCO does not naturally occur in the cannabis plant. Furthermore, THCO is an acetate, and acetates have been shown to be harmful when vaped. We at DabConnection do not recommend products containing THCO.

I recently had the pleasure of reviewing EightySix Brand THC-O sodas, which contain 25 mg of THC-O, a THC analogue. THC-O is known for being much more potent than THC, so this is definitely a drink for experienced cannabis users. I personally get a bit wary when I wade into the murky world of THC analogues, so I was really happy to see that EightySix independently tests their products to ensure you’re getting exactly what you asked for and nothing else. It was a relief to see the QR code on the can, and it speaks to EightySix Brand desire for high-quality edibles.

A 4-pack of EightySix Brand THC-O pop goes for $39.99 on their website.

Pros:

  • Legal in all states (for now), replicates a THC high well
  • Body-based high, with an intense headspace at higher doses
  • Smooth ride from start to finish

Cons:

  • Tolerance built up quickly
  • Doesn’t last as long as traditional THC

Recommendations: None

THCO Soda Collection

4 Flavors

I had the pleasure of working my way through a four-pack in each of their flavors – Tropic Thunder, Grapple Dazzle, Just Peachy, and Mean Mug (root beer). The pineapple flavor definitely came through and didn’t taste much like an edible drink at all. The high rose gently within the first half hour to an intense peak. It certainly scratched the itch and got me to a nice level of high, even though THC-O hits slightly differently. Throughout the come-up, I was anxiety-free and grateful for how smooth the ride to the top was.

Relaxing high

The high was relaxing and body-heavy: perfect for some evening-time relaxation. There was a very nice pain relief element to it, which I appreciated after a long day of working out. The high certainly had an impact on my headspace, and I noticed some difficulty doing my normal routine as I ambled through the brain fog. THC-O is claimed to be three times more potent than traditional delta-nine THC, but I don’t really share that opinion. While the first time I drank it was certainly more potent than my normal edible, as I went through the four-pack I noticed an increase in my tolerance to it each time. I definitely didn’t find it as powerful the fourth time around compared to the first one. That said, the high was consistent and reliable each time I drank it. Although I did notice a tolerance build-up over time, I was grateful that I could count on reliable dosing from each EightySix Brand soda.

Concluding this review

I would recommend this drink to anyone in an illegal state that is looking for a cannabis-like high without sourcing from the black market. I prefer traditional delta-9 THC for my day-to-day usage, but I see how this soda would be a worthy substitute if you don’t have access to legal, quality edibles. This is the perfect product for a slow night in or just a time when you need help getting some extra rest. The THC-O high replicates a stony, Indica high, so I would mostly use this at home. I really appreciated the chance to try out something new, and passed out as soon as I hit the sheets!

Infused Flower

0

In pharmacology, to infuse is the action of immersing some organic substance in a hot liquid without boiling it so that its soluble parts dissolve and thus obtain a mixture of both substances.

In the case of infused cannabis flowers, it is somewhat similar, although not exactly as the concept of infusion defines it according to pharmacology.

Infusing a cannabis flower generally means dipping, spraying, coating, or sprinkling with some other natural compound, usually another cannabinoid or terpene, in order to reap the added benefits of said compound. It is very common nowadays to find hemp flowers for sale infused with other cannabinoids.

So, if you want to know what exactly an infused flower is and what possible benefits you could obtain from them, you are in the right post. We will start with the most common infused flowers to find today.

WHAT IS HHC INFUSED FLOWER?

As the name suggests, an HHC-infused flower is a cannabis flower, usually hemp, rich in CBD or CBG, infused with HHC distillate, isolate, or oil. HHC is a relatively new cannabinoid that has been skyrocketing in popularity lately.

HHC is something of a middle ground between CBD and THC, producing milder effects than Delta-8 but more potent than CBD. The effects of HHC are full-bodied and can provide a comforting feeling of mental relaxation, but like THC, HHC may also produce a euphoric feeling.

HHC does not occur naturally in high concentrations in the cannabis flower but is made from hemp-derived CBD. Therefore, you will not find HHC-rich natural cannabis flowers but CBD or CBG flowers covered with a layer of HHC distillate. HHC does not contain any type of THC, unlike Delta-8, Delta-9, and Delta-10. Therefore, HHC has a slight legal advantage compared to the other cannabinoids already mentioned.

WHAT IS DELTA-8 INFUSED FLOWER?

A Delta-8 infused flower is generally a hemp flower covered with Delta-8 THC distillate, either in powder or oil form. Like HHC, Delta-8 occurs naturally in hemp plants but only in trace amounts, which makes it hard to extract naturally without spending a fortune.

That’s why researchers have found a way to create Delta-8 from CBD. Most Delta-8-infused hemp flower you’ll find on the market is made using CBD-derived Delta-8.

The process of converting CBD to Delta-8 involves a few chemicals that can be potentially harmful to you if it’s not done properly. That’s why you always have to buy Delta-8 flowers from reliable vendors like us, who thoroughly lab test our Delta-8 distillate before infusing it into our hemp flower.

BENEFITS OF INFUSED HEMP FLOWER

One of the main benefits of infused hemp flower is that in addition to the benefits of the cannabinoid used to infuse the flowers, you also get the benefits that hemp flower already carries with it.

Hemp flowers are generally rich in CBD, a cannabinoid that appears to be linked to health benefits such as:

  • Promotes stress reduction
  • Promotes a calm state
  • Promotes better sleep
  • Promotes pain relief
  • Helps reduce inflammation

Added to CBD’s benefits, we would obtain the benefits of the cannabinoid with which our CBD flower is infused. In the case of infusing hemp flower with Delta-8, we would get benefits such as a powerful ability to relieve anxious thoughts, improved concentration, focus, and appetite, and better sleep patterns.

In the case of infusing the hemp flower with HHC, we would obtain the benefits of CBD combined with those of HHC, ranging from relief of pain, inflammation, and anxiety, to psychoactive effects similar to those of THC but milder and somewhat more sedative and relaxing effects, compared to those of the Delta-8.

Added to this, another advantage of infused hemp flowers is that they enhance the entourage effect. This term refers to a theory that all the natural components of cannabis (cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids) work together best when combined and deliver a more balanced effect.

It’s said that cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids boost each other’s performance, and the effects that each of these compounds can generate individually can develop better.

HOW TO INFUSE CANNABIS

Cannabis-infused products are the order of the day, and there is now a wide variety of cannabis-containing products to choose from.

But what’s even better, in addition to the fact that you can get pre-made products everywhere, you can also get a ton of different cannabis-infused recipes online that you can make in the comfort of your own home.

You can find recipes that range from edibles like your own CBD-infused honey to skin products like CBD-infused lip balm.

The good thing about making these recipes at home is that you can intervene in each part of the process and tailor the product to your needs. For example, if you want a cannabis product that generates uplifting, mood-enhancing, or energizing effects, you can make your recipe using varieties such as Lifter or Sour Lifter.

If you want more relaxing effects, choose an Indica variety and use Bubba Kush or a similar crop. If you are looking for more balanced effects, you can use hybrid varieties such as Sour Space Candy or its more lemony, sour variant, the Super Sour Space Candy, to spice up your recipe.

By making your recipes this way, you will realize how fun and useful it can be to have control in each phase of the preparation of your infusions since you will end up with a product entirely made according to your preferences or needs.

THC-B

0

THC-B is a recently discovered novel cannabinoid, also referred to as Delta 9 Tetrahydrocannabutol which is structurally similar to Delta-9 Tetrahydrocannabinol.

What is interesting to note is that THC-B is functionally similar to regular THC, as it binds with both the CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors in the brain, although THC-B may be able to better bind with the CB1 receptors in the brain, therefore meaning that its interaction with our endocannabinoid system is higher than with regular THC.

One of the biggest differences between THC-B and regular THC is that instead of having a pentyl side chain, it has a butyl side chain, or in simplest terms, it has one less carbon chain than regular THC.

Another one of the biggest differences here is that THC-B is fully hemp-derived, coming only from the hemp plant, which means that according to the 2018 Farm Bill in the USA it should be 100% legal to purchase and sell at a federal level. Regular THC that comes from cannabis plants is not federally legal.

Now that you have a basic scientific explanation of what THC-B is, let’s move on and figure out what this actually means in terms of human consumption.

CBDInfusionz THC/CBD Gummies Review – The Buzz!

Have you heard the buzz about the CBDInfusionz CBD/THC gummies?

My bad.

Have you heard about the buzz?

It’s all about the buzz!

CBDInfusionz gummies boxes

One of the best edibles I tried

Wow. In a nutshell, as for the “BUZZ”, these are the best edible products I have ever experienced. And the “BUZZ” is exactly what I was after. I’ve tried a plethora of CBD products for various health issues as a reviewer for years. Nice, but not earth-shaking. I’m kind of saturated with those products and out of things to say. I chose to try these gummies hoping I might get a little buzz.

Most edibles make me queasy, but I am willing to suffer through that if the high is good. I’ve never liked the high from edibles though, I like my flower. So I wasn’t expecting much when these arrived – The Blue Dream Berry and the Watermelon Zkittlez. (750mg CBD and 150mg THC).

In keeping with my messed up personal theory that if one is good, three is better, I did three of each flavor and shared the same dose with a friend. Before long we were in full-on, giggling, slumber party mode – totally toasted, if you know what I mean. Oh man, that was fun but perhaps too much.

Peaceful bliss

The next day I tried three gummies before heading off for a stressful, drama-filled night at work. I was in peaceful bliss all night. Nothing could rock me from the serene state of being I was enjoying, and it was a bs-filled night. I was so impressed with my ability to roll with the punches. I was hooked. These gummies are amazing!

For weeks I had been having a terrible time sleeping because of stress at work. So I next set out to discover if these gummies are a reasonable sleep aid. They absolutely are. I have slept soundly on 3 gummies for three nights in a row. Now, this is life-changing for me. I am absolutely in love with these products.

friend gummies
PS – My friend is also delightfully enjoying the gummies daily.

CBDInfusionz gummies have a good flavor

Flavor-wise they are good. No grassy flavor. Hard to say, but I think I like the Zkittlez the best. The gummies are big so you have plenty of products to enjoy the treat.  The value is definitely there. The price is competitive and doable ($39.99).

Some downsides to CBDInfusionz gummies

My only criticism of the product is that it contains corn syrup and food dyes. Normally those are deal killers for me, but I am going to have to let it go this time because I am getting such life-changing results from the perfect dosing of the CBD and THC components.

gummies

Interesting site

As for the company, I am totally wowed by the blogger on their website who lays out complex topics about the medicinal and scientific data on these products with brilliance and ease, for any layman trying to wrap their mind around the science. Impressive.

LAB TEST 1  LAB TEST 2

Concluding this review

I’m tracking the effect that these gummies have on my skin affliction and other health issues. That takes time. But like I said, “It’s all about the buzz!” I love the subtle and sometimes not-so-subtle high I get from these products. As a stress reliever, party favor, or sleep aide they are the best I’ve ever tried. Two thumbs way up.

STIIIZY Extracts Curated Live Resin Review – Tasty and Potent

stiiizy review

So I picked up some live resin from a local Dispensary called Buddha Company out here in LA. I’ve been going to this spot for some years now but this is the first time I’ve decided to review one of the products they sell. I picked up some Grape Gelato STIIIZY Extracts Live Resin.

Pros:

  • Good taste
  • Potent

Cons:

  • Hard to know what’s a good hit because of the delay in the high

Recommendations: None

stiiizy label

First time buying a concentrate

I’ve never bought a concentrate in this form before, so I was interested in how this would work. I had only taken dabs a few times previously also so I wasn’t fully sure what to expect but I never thought I couldn’t take it because at this point I feel like I don’t ever get overwhelmed by simply being high.

Best to smoke this at home

While this was no different in terms of I could “handle” the high. It was VERY different in terms of when and how hard it hit me. So I used the Yocan CubeX vaporizer for this. So this resin tastes pretty good it has a nice grape flavor. If you take small hits honestly it is so smooth you don’t even notice which was my first mistake after trying this product.

As an experienced weed smoker, I should have remembered that sometimes the high takes a minute to hit. And that is EXACTLY how this went down. I took two small hits at first. Thinking it was OK but as I saw the train approaching I took one big one before getting on. I didn’t know how big of a difference that the last hit would make.

stiiizy close up

A difficult decision

Honestly, I was so high I got off the train at the wrong stop. Then once I finally got to the correct stop I was faced with three choices:

  1. Wait for the bus to take me to my final destination, which was about 45 minutes waiting then a 30-minute ride
  2. Take an Uber, now this was only 6 miles away which was about $30, and a 10-minute ride
  3. Take a scooter about a 35 min ride and $11-16 according to the app (if you don’t know LA has electric scooters you can rent from Lyft, Uber, and other companies to get around; once you are done you just park and leave it)

So feeling adventurous after taking another hit I chose option three. And I will tell you right now that was the wrong choice. I got so incredibly lost and cold in the 35 minutes I was on the scooter and ultimately didn’t get to where I needed so I called an uber anyway. While freezing on a scooter wasn’t the most fun way to spend my time honestly it feels like a testament to how strong this product is.

Even before starting to work with DabConnection I used some kind of cannabis product at least a little bit nearly every day. I generally don’t fall into issues like this otherwise I couldn’t do that. So for this product to be so strong that I got lost and almost gave me hypothermia in a city I’ve been in for a few years at this point, this is a strong recommendation from me.

stiiizy box

Concluding this review

I’m really looking forward to trying other concentrates from STIIIZY as well. This one was an Indica but I am now super curious about other strains as well. Definitely worth the price at about $30 for the gram.

Galaxy Treats Moon Babies Gummies Review – Great Effects

moon babies review

It’s almost Halloween and I got to try some Halloween-themed gummies from Galaxy Treats. The last time I got the opportunity to try some products from them everything was amazing so I was definitely excited to try these. Also, Halloween is just a fun holiday so this felt festive in a week where I spent more time in my “professional” attire than I typically like to.

Pros:

  • Intensive effects
  • Great Value

Cons:

  • Taste of vampire blood (dragonfruit)

Recommendations: Some improvements to the red gummies would be great.

Vampire’s Blood

Anyway, the folks at Galaxy treats sent me the Vampire’s Blood Delta-8 25mg THC tummies and the Black Magic 10mg Delta-9 THC gummies.

I tried Vampire’s Blood first because they were the strong ones. It made me eager to try and see if they could launch me into space like the last batch of Galaxy Treat gummies I tried. Let me tell you the Vampire’s Blood did not disappoint and neither did the Black Magic. I remember receiving the gummies on a Saturday and I had an unfinished project with 10 tracks on it. I knew it was missing an intro but I couldn’t figure out for the life of me what it should sound like. And I also like to make my music in bursts so I was a bit concerned I was stuck for weeks not knowing what I wanted to make. So the first day I took a few Vampire’s Blood gummies and made a few beats I love.

moon babies vampire blood

Creative high

Honestly, I felt like I was truly in the moment after taking those gummies. Making beats isn’t new for me but the way I work is very free flowing where I usually am making what I feel as opposed to doing something as a preconceived idea I am trying to realize. This is pretty much always the case for me as I frequently will just overthink it and not be able to make something good. These edibles took that away completely. The ability to get me so high that I stopped my overthinking pretty much completely puts the Vampire’s Blood as some of the best edibles I’ve taken. I didn’t feel too high, to be honest, it just felt like I was existing and I’m sad I am about to run out of them as I am typing this.

moon babies vampire blood gummies

The taste could be better

My singular complaint about the Vampire’s Blood is definitely the taste. It says it’s supposed to be passionfruit. I don’t think I’ve ever actually tasted a passionfruit just passion-fruit-flavored things. But regardless of what I didn’t care for about the taste, the edibles were so effective that this is an easy 9 out of 10 for the Vampire’s Blood.

moon babies black magic

Black Magic

The following day I tried the Black Magic gummies and after trying the Vampire’s Blood I had already just accepted that this might be one of those things where the holiday or themed version of a food product just doesn’t taste good (directly looking at green flavored ketchup on St. Patrick’s Day). But I was pleasantly surprised! The Black Magic although not as strong tastes considerably better to the point if I didn’t know there was weed in it, I might just try to eat it like regular candy.

Solid effects

As far as the effects, it was solid in terms of strength. These are 10mg edibles vs the Vampire’s Blood being 25mg each so I am not really surprised at this. Where I definitely felt high but it just wasn’t as much because I took probably 2.5x as much THC the day before. Either way, it was still good because that morning I was able to write that final song to a beat I made the day prior with ease. And I am usually a bit burnt on ideas after writing a complete song but I was so relaxed I was able to complete a second immediately after. Overall, the flavor was better but not quite as strong. I’ll give this an 8 out of 10 and probably bump the Vampire’s Blood to 9.5 because it was that good in hindsight.

Concluding this review

I definitely recommend grabbing some of these edibles from Galaxy Treats or honestly anything else too. Everything I have gotten from them has been a great product and value.

BioWellnessX Gummies | Top Quality Alt-Cannabinoid Edibles

BiowellnessX-review-gummies

Welcome to our magical munchie mystery tour! We have a run of edible gummy products coming up. Today we’re looking at 3 gummy products by BioWellnesssX, whom we have reviewed before. Our videos cover each of these products in more detail; here we’ll give an overview.

All three of these gummies are made with therapeutic / medical users in mind.

Find our Mellow Drops video review here.

Find our Dream Drops video review here.

Find our Focus Gummies video review here.

Pros:

  • Great potency and effects
  • Tasty and appealing
  • Small packs are easy to carry with you for a therapeutic dose on the go
  • Reasonably priced

Cons:

  • Maybe the Sleep Drops could use more CBN?
  • Focus Gummies seemed a little dried out

Recommendations: BioWellnessX is one of the top edible brands we’ve seen for consistent quality, so just keep on doin’ what you’re doin’!

BiowellnessX-gummies-_2

BioWellnessX Mellow Drops (CBD)

Our first stop is the Mellow Drops, which are 25MG of CBD. They come in a jar of ten for $27.99

Obviously, CBD is a well-known product with which we have all become familiar in the past few years. By itself, it has virtually no psychoactive affects, but does give you a deep-baked “body high,” helping to fight inflammation and pain. You are likely to have experienced CBD already if you have tried literally any cannabis product, since CBD is abundant and usually piggybacks onto the likes of delta-8, CBG, THC, etc.

We find BioWellnessX Mellow Drops to be a right-size dose for those looking for just CBD. With that said, there’s really not too much to talk about here. Pure CBD gummies are everywhere out there. These are at least as good as any of them. They are also full spectrum, so the Mellow Drops have

One side quest worth mentioning is their CBD+ line, which has CBD with myrcene. Myrcene is the terpene which cannabis has in common with mangoes. Even though it’s a terpene and not a cannabinoid, it does bind to the endocannabinoid system and produces a deeper effect. Your humble author is currently feeling the CBD+myrcene (writing this just after I did the video), and man they feel awesome! Relaxing and soothing, with a mildly sedating effect that isn’t too drowsy.

BiowellnessX-gummies-_3

BioWellnessX Dream Drops (CBD / CBN)

Next we have the BiowellnessX Dream Drops, which come with a whopping 45MG dose of CBD and CBN. They go $34.97 for a jar of ten. The percentages, when I check, run roughly 7-8MG of CBN and the rest is CBD.

So we all know about CBD. CBN is a cannabinoid that is hard to track down, but is said to be the relaxing, couch-lock cannabinoid which is the best candidate for a sleep aid out of the cannabinoid spectrum. On trying these, I certainly did get a restful night’s sleep – but honestly my tolerance is through the roof since I test and review cannabis products all the time, and CBD relaxes me plenty even by itself. I did notice a slightly more sedating effect with the CBN, but not really a pronounced effect. These also have more CBD than the Mellow Drops, so maybe it was a mixture of the two.

In any case, if you are looking for a night-time sleep aid or even an evening relaxer, you might want to give Dream Drops a try. For myself, I actually suffer from a sleep disorder called non-24 disorder, which generally means that I have no set Circadian rhythm to speak of because my brain doesn’t use melatonin. So I can take melatonin all day with no effect. These hit the way melatonin used to work for me, gently relaxing without making me crash-drowsy the next day.

BiowellnessX-gummies-_4

BioWellnessX Focus Gummies (CBG/CBD)

Last we have the Focus Gummies with one of my favorite alt-cannabinoids, CBG. These have 25MG of CBG and CBD total. They run $39.97 for a jar of ten.

CBG is known as the “stem cell” of alternative cannabinoids, because it can break down into any of the others over time. CBG is said to be non-psychoactive, and it is thus in terms of not getting you stoned or foggy. However, it is known to be energizing and focusing, boosting mental clarity, memory, and executive function. I call it the “do you taxes” cannabinoid. Not only that, but in combination with other alt-cans, such as delta-8, it kicks in as a uplifting edge to the other cannabinoid’s effect. I refer to a CBG buzz as a “scholar’s high.” It just might be the nootropic we were all looking for.

Even though the flavor of the Focus gummies were sweet and tasty, I notice these were a little more dried out than other gummies, even by the same company. They were more like a gumdrop texture. However, this is minor and might be up to the CBG extraction process – I do notice that CBG tends to be the odd cannabinoid out, producing different consistencies in different products.

BiowellnessX-gummies-_1

BioWellnessX Edibles Are Top Quality!

As gummies go – goodness knows, the market is flooded with them – we find BioWellnessX has consistent quality and exacting cannabinoid standards with their gummies. They also make THC gummies in deltas-8-9-10, HHC, and other popular, more psychoactive doses. Finally, if you’re curious about isolated cannabinoids as you sample your way around the spectrum, BioWellnessX is the one thinking in terms of separating the cannabinoids and trying them in different combos for different effects.

This is an exciting time in cannabis history, with new products coming out and so many new ways to experience our favorite plant. BioWellnessX seems to share our enthusiasm for experimentation, so they’re worth watching to see what else comes out of their research.

Find the complete line of BioWellnessX gummies here. Readers, share your alt-cannabinoid adventures here in the comments or in our forum.

Sugar Extrax Disposables Review – Great Price and Flavor

sugar extrax disposables review

IMPORTANT UPDATE: THCO (and its isomers) are now banned by the DEA. Unlike the majority of cannabinoids, THCO does not naturally occur in the cannabis plant. Furthermore, THCO is an acetate, and acetates have been shown to be harmful when vaped. We at DabConnection do not recommend products containing THCO.

I got the opportunity to try a two-pack of Sugar Extrax disposables from Delta Extrax. The ones I received are both Sativa in Candy Land and Acai Berry Gelato flavor. These strains are perfect for those afternoon pick-me-ups or if you’re looking for something smooth to get your day started. Also, the disposable devices are draw-activated so all you need to do is open the box, take a hit, and enjoy.

Pros:

  • Great taste
  • Sleek design
  • USB-C charging
  • 2g carts

Cons:

  • Both Sativa (would have preferred a mix)
  • No temperature control
  • Oil began to leak  a bit (caused slight clogging) when in extreme heat (over 100 degrees) for an extended time

Recommendations: Some improvements to the hardware would be great

sugar extrax disposables

Amazing flavor

The first and one of my favorite things about both of these is the flavor. The Acai Berry Gelato taste kinda like rainbow sherbet to me, and candy land has more of a blow pop or bubble gum thing going on. Both are great and can provide nice smooth hits or will continue pulling until you get a hit that is making you cough your way into space.

Great Price

Now please keep in mind these are two-gram cartridges when I say that for $59.99 this price is not only incredible but probably unbeatable. If you go into a brick-and-mortar dispensary here in Los Angeles, there is pretty much no chance you will be walking out with 4g worth of vape cartridges for anywhere close to that price. Usually, I see the low-end single-gram cartridges selling for around $20 and the high-end for up to $80, or possibly more in touristy areas which always have the highest prices. I admittedly try to stay away from those. Regardless the Sugar Extrax pack is under $60 for a quality product. It mixes Live Resin THCO and Delta 9 THC to make such a nice product.

sugar extrax disposables boxes

Battery indicator

It charges via USB-C and it has an indicator light that tells you if the battery is low. Honestly, I don’t think I have seen this specific feature before and I think it’s great. That is generally my biggest complaint about any vape battery disposable or not, is that I will sometimes forget to charge it because there is no indication I should, only to have it die on me when I’m out somewhere without the ability to charge it.

4 grams of delight

I am not a huge fan of Sativas because they feel like they can either not address or heighten my anxiety at times, but I didn’t experience that at all with these. Both of these give me more of a floaty head high. Where it feels like I’m in space but simultaneously very ok with it. However, I will admit to balancing the Sativa with a different hybrid cartridge. I will also admit, I do wish the effects lasted a bit longer I think because I feel like pretty quickly I can feel the return to normal. But luckily, this is a 2-pack of 2-gram cartridges so I won’t be running out any time soon.

sugar extrax disposables units

Concluding this review

I don’t think there’s really anything I would want different about these that wouldn’t be addressed by just getting a different strain of either a Hybrid or Indica. This is overall a great product that provides a fun head high and is an incredible value at just under $60 for two 2G cartridges. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking to pick up some more cartridges. And I can’t wait to try more products from Delta Extrax.

Eighty Six Brand HHC Disposable Review – One Of The Best HHC

eighty six brand hhc disposable review

Today we will take a look at the White Series HHC disposables from Eighty Six Brand. Eighty Six Brand currently offers an assortment of wellness products that contain Delta-8, HHC, and/or THC-O on their official website. Prior to this review, we tried their Delta-8 disposables. For this review, I will sample three Eighty Six Brand HHC Disposables.

Pros:

  • Elegant design
  • Solid potency
  • Strong airflow
  • Improved oil visibility
  • Fair price

Cons:

  • Slightly harsh flavor
  • Would not recommend Gush Rush

Recommendations: The flavor of Gush Rush could be improved.

eighty six brand hhc disposable front

The Eighty Six Brand HHC disposables are elegant and white, whereas the Delta-8 disposables are sleek and black

Before my thoughts on each three, let’s take a look at their packaging, which is similar to their other lineups of disposables. The HHC disposable comes in a thin white box clearly labeled White Series with the strain name and logo artwork printed on the front of the box. The 280mg disposable is draw-activated and rechargeable via a USB port located on the bottom of the unit, much like their counterpart Delta-8 and THC-O disposables.

(Side Note: While each one’s experience may be different, I personally enjoy the more balanced high of HHC over the effects of Delta-8, Delta-10, and THC-O. In my case, HHC provides better and stronger medicinal effects than other alternative cannabinoids.)

eighty six brand hhc disposable nilla mint

The three current strains for their HHC disposables are Nilla Mint, Peaches N Cream, and Gush Rush

The first one I tried was their Nilla Mint, which is their cross between Gelonade x Kush Mints. This one felt slightly more Indica dominant as its effects are listed as happy, social, and relaxed. The flavor of Nilla Mint is earthy, spicy, and nutty with notes of citrus, mint, and pine.

eighty six brand hhc disposable peaches cream

The best of the bunch is their Peaches N Cream with its sweet orange vanilla creamsicle flavor

The next one I tried was their Peaches N Cream, which is their cross between Wifi Cake and Slurricane. The flavor of Peaches And Cream is easily the tastiest and smoothest of the three, less spicy than Nilla Mint and less earthy than Gush Rush. The effects of Peaches N Cream felt slightly heavier as its effects are more creative, sleepy, and euphoric. The flavor of Peaches N Cream also tastes better than Nilla Mint with its sweet orange vanilla creamsicle flavor.

eighty six brand hhc disposable gush rush

The most disappointing of the bunch is their Gush Rush with its harsh generic flavor

Lastly, I tried their Gush Rush, which is their cross between Gushers and Sunset Sherbet. While it sounded as tasty as their Cereal Milk Delta-8 disposables, it felt like the most disappointing of the three with a harsher, earthier yet still very generic taste. The effects of Gush Rush felt perfect for any time of day as it felt focused, relaxed and euphoric. Despite looking forward to this one, their Gush Rush felt mostly disappointing.

eighty six brand hhc disposable oil

The full retail price for each disposable from Eighty Six Brand is $29.99 per unit

While Eighty Six Brand Delta-8 disposable felt solid yet harsh, the Wild Orchard Hemp HHC disposables felt more potent with their formula. Their proprietary formula contains a balanced mix of full-spectrum HHC, THC-O, and Delta-8 THC with natural terpenes. On the other hand, the hardware for Smilyn THC-O and Hellfire Delta-10 disposables have the option of using variable voltage settings.

eighty six brand hhc disposable back box

Ultimately, Eighty Six Brand HHC disposables rank as one of the best I’ve had so far

So, the bottom line is: These Eighty Six Brand HHC disposables would be a definite recommendation for their elegant design, solid potency, strong airflow, and improved oil visibility at a fair price. Overall, I would highly recommend Peaches N Cream and Nilla Mint, but felt Gush Rush was subpar in terms of its flavor and smoothness. While I would recommend Peaches N Cream for the best flavor, the Nilla Mint is still recommended for its relatively stronger potency and effects. All things considered, these might be my favorite HHC disposables that I’ve sampled so far.

Currently, the White Series HHC disposables are out of stock on their official website until further notice.

Wild Orchard Hemp HHC Disposable Review – Elegant Yet Practical

wild orchard hemp hhc disposables review

Today we will take a look at the FuHHCuup series from Wild Orchard Hemp. Wild Orchard Hemp offers a diverse selection of wellness products, which includes Delta-8, Delta-9, and/or HHC. We have previously reviewed their Dessert Delta-8 hemp flower here, which tastes much better than the extremely artificial flavor of their Dessert Delta-8 disposables. Wild Orchard Hemp sent us two of their HHC disposables from their FuHHCuup series. For this review, let’s see what the hype is all about by trying a couple of HHC disposables from Wild Orchard Hemp.

Pros:

  • Elegant yet practical design
  • Solid airflow
  • Great flavor
  • Surprisingly strong effects
  • Fairly affordable prices

Cons:

  • None

Recommendations: None

wild orchard hemp hhc disposables front

HHC is one of the latest popular hemp-derived THC alternatives which feel closer to Delta-8 in terms of potency and effects

Prior to this review, the flavor and potency of the Dessert Delta-8 flower from Wild Orchard Hemp felt more satisfying than the Delta-8 flower from Exhale Wellness. On the other hand, I didn’t enjoy the Dessert Delta-8 disposables for their extremely artificial flavoring and their unintended side effects. As a result, I was admittedly skeptical yet cautiously optimistic, especially since this is my first time trying HHC. HHC, which is short for hexahydrocannabinol, is primarily created from hemp seeds and pollen. The packaging flips open from the front to display the unit through a cut-out window and a list of ingredients. The white rechargeable, draw-activated disposable has an elegant and aesthetically pleasing look and design with a small teardrop-shaped oil window.

wild orchard hemp hhc disposables units

The Wild Orchard Hemp HHC disposables consist of full-spectrum HHC, THC-O, and Delta-8 THC with natural terpenes

While it’s not strictly only HHC, the FuHHCuup disposables from Wild Orchard Hemp offer a surprisingly effective combination of full-spectrum HHC oil, THC-O, and Delta-8 THC with natural terpenes. Each strain of the Wild Orchard Hemp HHC disposables stands out with its own distinctive artwork and a different color background on the front of the box. For instance, the Chunky Skunk disposable has an illustrated picture of a skunk with a gray background. The Mad Honey disposable has an angry-looking bee against a yellow color background.

According to the front of the box, this disposable contains a combination of full-spectrum HHC, THC-O, and Delta-8 THC with natural terpenes. However, the ingredients are listed as full-spectrum HHC oil with natural terpenes, while a QR code directly leads to the lab results on the back of the box. Although both technically contain 900 MG, the Chunky Skunk disposable is slightly taller and bulkier than the more compact size of their Mad Honey disposable.

wild orchard hemp hhc disposables chunky skunk

The Chunky Skunk HHC disposable tastes the least synthetic of the most recent hemp-derived THC alternatives

First, I tried their Chunky Skunk disposable, which is just as tasty and strong as the Delta-8/THCV cartridge from Spensary from a few months ago. The flavor of Chunky Skunk is earthy, spicy, and floral with hints of pine, skunk, and diesel. The Indica-leaning effects of Chunky Skunk feel calm, balanced, and relaxing. The Chunky Skunk disposable has additional perforated holes around the middle section of the unit for better airflow. However, I found it to clog much more often than the Mad Honey disposable, which has surprisingly better airflow.

wild orchard hemp hhc disposables mad honey

While the potency of both disposables felt strong, I preferred the flavor of Chunky Skunk much more than Mad Honey

Next, I sampled their Mad Honey. Which felt closer in terms of quality, to the Dessert Delta-8 disposables from the same company. Compared to their Chunky Skunk, the Mad Honey disposable tastes slightly more artificial. The flavor of Mad Honey tastes sweet, spicy, and floral. It also had hints of citrus, mango, and pine. The slightly more cerebral effects of Mad Honey feel uplifting, balanced, and energetic. While the Mad Honey tastes slightly more artificial than the Chunky Skunk, the Mad Honey disposable still isn’t as extremely off-putting as the artificial flavoring for the Dessert line of Delta-8 disposables from Wild Orchard Hemp.

Wild Orchard Hemp HHC Lab Results

The full retail price for the 275mg and 900mg HHC disposables from Wild Orchard Hemp is $25.00 and $49.99, respectively. Additionally, there are weekly and monthly subscription plans for 10% off each unit.

The effects of these HHC disposables from Wild Orchard Hemp feel stronger than most Delta-8/Delta10 products from other brands that I have tried so far. For instance, the Delta-8 disposables from Eighty Six Brand also tasted harsher and not as tasty. According to their lab results, the Delta-8 THC % of the HHC base oil is 73.50%, the HHC % is 14.30%, the CBD % is 0.30% and the total sum of cannabinoid % is 88.60%.

wild orchard hemp hhc disposables back

HHC disposables are worth the hype for their surprising potency, great airflow, and fair prices

Ultimately, I would highly recommend the FuHHCuup series from Wild Orchard Hemp for their surprisingly strong effects, solid airflow, and fairly affordable prices. The FuHHCuup series from Wild Orchard Hemp is much more preferable than their Dessert line of Delta-8 disposables, both in terms of potency and flavor.

You can find all the HHC disposables in their FuHHCuup series from Wild Orchard Hemp on their official website here.

Smilyn THC-O Disposable Review – Potent Yet Slightly Harsh

smilyn thc o disposable review

Today we will take a look at THC-O live resin disposables from Smilyn Hemp. Smilyn Hemp also has a variety of wellness brands that offer products with CBD, Delta-8, Delta-9, Delta-10, THC-O, THC-P, and/or HHC. Smilyn Hemp provided us with a sample of their 2-gram THC-O disposable and 2 grams of Delta-8 diamonds. Prior to this review, we have previously reviewed the Delta-8 diamonds from Smilyn Hemp here and their HHC disposables here. For this review, I will try their Kush Mint THC-O live resin disposable.

Pros:

  • Sleek design
  • Strong potency
  • Solid battery strength
  • Variable voltage settings
  • Affordable prices

Cons:

  • Tastes slightly harsh

Recommendations: Fix voltage setting feature.

smilyn thc o disposable box unit

The ingredients for Smilyn Hemp THC-O live resin disposables consist of THC-O & Delta-8 oil with natural terpenes

THC-O is one of the more recent popular alternative cannabinoids that is derived from hemp. THC-O, also known as THC-O acetate, is manufactured by using acetic anhydride. It’s a colorless liquid that is combined with Delta-8 to produce THC-O. The sleek packaging for the two-gram THC-O disposables from Smilyn Hemp certainly stands out with its wavy pattern design with its brand name in bold letters. Each type of strain for their disposable is color-coded. For instance, the Indica disposable (Kush Mint) is in a blue box, the hybrid (Bacio) is in a green box, and the Sativa (Honeydew Funk) is in an orange box. On the back of the packaging, the ingredients for Smilyn Hemp THC-O disposables is listed as a mixture of hemp-derived THC-O distillate and Delta-8 oil with natural terpenes.

smilyn thc o disposable box front

Smilyn Hemp THC-O live resin disposables also feature variable voltage settings, similar to Hellfire disposables

Similar to the Hellfire Delta-10 disposables, press the power button five times quickly to turn on the device. Likewise, there are 3 main voltage settings for these disposables. (2.8V – green, 3.2V – blue, 3.6V – red) Press the power button three times quickly to switch voltage settings. Press the power button twice quickly to activate the preheat cycle. This 280mAh disposable is also rechargeable with the USB port located on the bottom of the unit.

smilyn thc o disposable unit
Unite Close Up

Smilyn Hemp THC-O live resin disposables taste less harsh and artificial than the Dessert Delta-8 disposables

Kush Mint is an Indica dominant hybrid cross between Bubba Kush and Animal Mints. The slightly harsh flavor of the Kush Mints THC-O live resin disposable tastes minty, spicy, and floral with notes of coffee, pine, and earth. While the flavor isn’t as artificial as the Dessert Delta-8 disposables from Wild Orchard Hemp, I still preferred the Hellfire Delta-10 disposables from Smilyn Hemp for better flavor. As it doesn’t quite offer a strong head high, the effects of Kush Mints still provide a calming, uplifting, and relaxing body high. Although the effects felt more potent than the Hellfire Delta-10 disposables, the potency of the HHC disposables from Wild Orchard Hemp felt slightly stronger with better, longer-lasting effects.

smilyn thc o disposable usb
Smilyn THC-O disposable usb

Smilyn Hemp THC-O live resin disposables felt slightly weaker and tastes harsher than the HHC disposables from Wild Orchard Hemp

The full retail prices for the 1-gram and 2-gram Smilyn Hemp THC-O disposables are $39.99 and $59.99 per unit, respectively. While the potency of the HHC disposables from Wild Orchard Hemp felt slightly stronger, the Smilyn THC-O disposable was harsher on the throat. The Delta-8 THC % of Kush Mint is 62.48%, the THC-O % is 18.57%, and the total sum of cannabinoid % is 62.69%.

Smilyn THC-O Kush Mints Lab Results

One major caveat: During the use of this disposable, some of the features malfunctioned as I couldn’t switch between voltage settings when pressing the power twice. Additionally, the preheat mode is activated only by pressing the power button three times. However, 3.2v felt sufficiently potent for this disposable, while still producing thick clouds.

smilyn thc o disposable back

Overall, this is a moderate recommendation

Ultimately, Smilyn THC-O disposables are recommended for their sleek design, strong potency, and solid battery strength. While the flavor of Kush Mint tastes a bit too harsh for my taste, I would still try their other strains based on my experience with this one. Additionally, I would like to try one with working variable voltage settings throughout the duration of its use. Currently, you can find all Smilyn Hemp THC-O products on their official website here.

Well, we all made it another year to 4/20, year 2022! Pandemics and wars be damned, we have our sweet ganja goodness to help keep our sanity together, as well as wellness and tranquility of body and mind. For those of you in less-legalized states, here’s your reminder that midterm elections are just around the corner with a bunch of cannabis measures coming up. To those of you in more legalized states, we hope you’re enjoying it and stand ready to set an example for the rest of the country.

By the way, here’s a handy educational refresher for those taking their first 4/20 plunge this year. It helps explain the process so you’re familiar with the family of cannabis products.

harvest-2-hand-Leafly

First, a few side notes to 4/20 this year:

We have Easter Sunday on April 17 this year, 4/20 only 3 days after that, then Earth Day on April 22! That’s a remarkable string of events, and honestly Earth Day seems to be more popular than Easter with the #StonerFam. With that said, get in the Mather Gaia spirit with my loving parody of cosmic starchild culture. More seriously, you Yoga fans might like Amy M. Vaughn’s Yoga musings and other mind-blowing books, including being one of the premiere Bizarro genre writers on the web.

A reminder that this is also a Midterms election this year – and cannabis is on every ballot! If you love your freedom as-is and want it preserved, or want some more legalization opened up, join the progress with Norml’s “smoke the vote” effort. They have handy resources to legalizing in every state.

Releafy Torch 2.0 Review – Solid and User-friendly Wax Pen

releafy torch review

Today we will check out the Releafy Torch 2.0, the first wax pen to have a dual output mode in terms of voltages and temperatures. Releafy also offers electronic nectar collectors, E-Nails, and other accessories. The full retail price for the Releafy Torch 2.0 currently runs for $69.90 on their website. We will detail our experience objectively as always in our non-affiliate reviews. For this review, let’s break down their newly updated Releafy Torch 2.0.

Pros:

  • Simple, easy-to-use design
  • Excellent strength
  • Easy maintenance
  • Discreet size
  • Fair price

Cons:

  • Higher voltage settings can taste harsh

Recommendations: The addition of lower voltage settings for the quartz coil chamber would be appreciated.

The Releafy Torch 2.0 is a solid and user-friendly new wax pen that nevertheless boasts some distinctive features of its own

This wax pen comes in a nice black carrying case perfect for travel and quick dabs on the go. While not as cutting-edge as the Yocan Orbit, the Releafy Torch 2.0 produces impressive clouds with its efficient top airflow design. The Releafy Torch 2.0 kit includes two different kinds of atomizers: a ceramic coil-less chamber for more enhanced flavor and a quartz coil chamber for stronger potency. The unit consists mainly of the magnetic cap (which is attached to a glass mouthpiece), the atomizer, and the 1100mAh battery. Also included in the kit is a dab tool and a USB-C charging cable.

Operating the Releafy Torch for best results:

  • Remove the magnetic cap from the battery.
  • Choose your preferred atomizer.
  • Place your extract onto the center of the atomizer.
  • Reattach the magnetic cap onto the battery.
  • Turn on the device by quicking pressing the power button five times.
  • Choose your preference by quicking pressing the power button three times.
  • Activate session mode by quicking pressing the power button twice. Press and hold down the power button for manual mode.
  • Charge the battery if needed.

The unit has three temperature settings for the coil-less ceramic chamber with a temperature range from 450°F to 550°F

Using the coil-less ceramic chamber, most sauces, jams, and Delta-8/Delta-10 diamonds felt best at 450°F. Most live resin sugar, badders, and budders felt perfect at 500°F. I found most live rosin concentrates better between 450 or 500°F, depending on the consistency. While I didn’t find the highest setting to be absolutely necessary, 550°F feels more ideal for shatter and larger-sized diamonds. The slightly more spacious coil-less ceramic chamber for the Releafy Torch 2.0 also heats up more evenly than the Dr. Dabber Stella

Atomizers

The Releafy Torch 2.0 has three voltage settings for the quartz coil chamber with a range from 3.0v to 4.0v

Even at its lowest voltage setting, the strength of the quartz coil atomizer in the unit is just as powerful as the triple coil titanium atomizer in the Pulsar APX Wax. While most concentrates work with the quartz coil chamber, it was most successful using live resin diamonds to create bigger clouds and to add to its potency. Furthermore, the flavor from the quartz coil chamber tastes cleaner and not quite as harsh as the titanium coils on the Pulsar APX V3 Wax. While the coil-less ceramic chamber is easy to clean, the quartz coil chamber is slightly more difficult to clean.

550°F 4.0v red Shatter, larger-sized diamonds

Overall, I was very impressed with this wax pen

In summary, the Releafy Torch 2.0 is highly recommended for its minimalistic style, simple one-button operation, excellent strength, easy maintenance, and discreet size. While it may lack the groundbreaking design of the Yocan Orbit, this Releafy Torch 2.0 is still miles better than other similar wax pens, such as the Dr. Dabber Stella, TOQI wax cartridge, and the Linx Ember. You can purchase the Releafy Torch 2.0 wax pen here and the SLIDR E-nectar collector here.
