Here’s another fake cartridge sold on the market: Dr. Zodiak’s Moonrock Clear Cartridge. As you may know, Dr. Zodiak’s Moonrock clear cartridge claims to have oil that tests at 90% THC. The fake ones, however, may come off with weaker THC and lower vape quality.

Fake Dr. Zodiak’s Moonrock clear cartridges are spreading

To give you a background on this product, this was developed by Dr. Zodiak and his partner, rapper Kurupt. Both of them envisioned a line of cannabis products that are best of the best. After launching in 2013, the brand has gotten popular among hard-hitters. Big names like Snoop Dogg, Kodak Black, Cardi B, and Travis Scott have expressed that they are fans of Dr. Zodiak’s Moonrocks. Along with their Moonrock Ice, Moonrock Ice Blunts and Edibles, they have also introduced the Moonrock Clear Cartridge to add to their growing brand. It has a variety of flavors like the Hardcore OG, Razzle Dazzle, Banana, Strawberry, Original, Gelato, and Cotton Candy. The Moonrock Clear Cartridge is an efficient way to take a hit while on the go.

You can check out more product information on Dr. Zodiak’s Moonrock website.

Spotting the fakes: Look for real CCELL

To truly experience the hype given on this product, it is important to make sure that when you purchase a Dr. Zodiak’s Moonrock clear cartridge, you are getting an authentic one. With the large amount of counterfeit products being sold, It’s very likely that you would encounter these when trying to purchase Moonrock clear cartridges. The cartridges are currently sold only in Arizona and California which leads people to go and buy them online which is not always the safest way to validate the authenticity of what you’re buying. The good news is that they are currently expanding to where they are selling their products. If you are buying outside of CA or AZ, the odds of it being a fake are higher.

The original moonrock clear cartridge uses CCELL cartridges to absorb and distribute heat from the embedded coil evenly and regularly. Fake ones don’t use CCELL most of the time which is why some users shared that they were experiencing burnt flavor from their fake carts. See our post on fake CCELL cartridges for more info.

Based on its physical appearance, one easy way to spot the fakes from the real ones is to check the cartridge. The fake one has those lines at the top part of the cartridge. The real one doesn’t. Also, the official Moonrock cartridge has the words Jupiter CCell on the bottom. Below, you can see that the photo on the left is the fake one and the right is the original Moonrock clear cart.

The packaging also looks like the original one. It’s hard to tell which one is fake from the real one. If the packaging is confusing for you, just check the cartridge to confirm if it’s authentic.

  1. Simple just don’t buy vape pens. Real ones are fake ones they just lie about the THC percentage you’re better off buying pure concentrate then buying a vape pen

  3. Hello, there is something strange in your article.

In the first picture (“Real vs Fake Dr. Zodiak’s Moonrock Clear Cartridge”), the real cartridge is on the right.

But in the next photo, you show a REAL Cartridge, but under the photo it is written : “These are fake carts being sold in the market”.

It’s confused or there is something that i have not understand ?

    Anyway thanks for your help!

  4. My moonrock has two bunnys and no jupiter ccell marking, but oil is thick and it gets me pretty high with a smooth feel, is it still safe to use? I

  5. I have a question i recived on and someone told me it was fake cause it has a white band were you twist it on and its not shaped as a tear drop

  6. Im super pissed i bout four flavors and this is the worst you dont even get high which really sucks cause im from georgia tried really hard track these down and there fakes what a waste of money and time super disapointed if they are real dont buy cause its not worth wasting money

    • Not totally sure on this, but some have commented they are licensed in AZ only. We will research this further and find out and post an update to be sure.

  7. Best way to make sure you are buying a legitimate Dr Zodiac Clear cartridge is by the oval shaped washer inside the bottom of the cartridge! The washers are white and look like the shape of an eye. This along with other obvious markers such as CCELL and thick consistency. You also need to use licensed dispensary. You get what you pay for so if it’s too good to be true, you are probably getting burned!

  8. So my cart doesn’t say Jupiter on the bottom, just cao39 ccell. The oil isn’t watery or runny at all, but there is two bunny logos on either side of the cart. Should I be concerned?

  9. I have one that is VERY thick and gold in color, but the bottom only says CCELL and not Jupiter. Also there 2 bunnies on the cart. Your opinion please?

  10. The main thing people should be worried about is the distallite inside of the carts. People could be using real hardware and nasty distallite. Or the other way around! Just cause it’s a real ccell or fake CCELL isn’t a clear indicator of distallite quality. If your distallite is watery and looks super thin it’s a sign that cutting agents or nasty vape terps have been introduced to dilute the distallite and make extra $

  11. The easiest way I found to spot a fake Moonrocks Clear cart…. There are 2 bunnies on the cartridge. Also, the bottom didn’t say Jupiter CCELL, and the font was off. The Snowman and Bobby’s Blue I got were real, tho. Jupiter on bottom, and only one graphic on the cart itself.

    • i thought the same exact thing! and the only flavor i’ve come across around here is grapes gone bananas and it’s not even a real flavor. but the cart itself looks real
