Today we will take a look at the new Kurvana Carbon21 cartridge series. You can find our previous review of the Kurvana ASCND here. Recently, Kurvana won second place in vape cartridges for their Chocolope sauce cartridge at this year’s High Times SoCal People’s Edition Cannabis Cup. Kurvana’s Carbon21 series is their new signature of cartridges with three different options for their official launch.
The look of the Kurvana Carbon21 box is similar to their popular ASCND series, but with dark grey packaging. This week, I thoroughly enjoyed their Zkittlez sauce cartridge, so I wanted to try their new badder sauce cartridge as well. For this review, I will take a look at the pros and cons of the Kurvana Carbon21 badder sauce cartridge.
Pros:
- Strong potency/effects
- Excellent taste
- Incredibly smooth airflow
- Great value
Cons:
- Slightly pricier than other sauce cartridges
Recommendations: None
Kurvana Carbon21 has incredibly smooth airflow, similar to Apex Pinnacle
This week, I picked up the Mai Tai badder sauce cartridge from the new Kurvana Carbon21 series. The build quality and design of the new Carbon21 cartridges are similar to their ASCND cartridges. They both have carbon grey-colored mouthpieces and cartridge rings. Although it is still the same plastic build, it has incredibly smooth airflow, similar to Apex Pinnacle live resin cartridges.
Slightly better than Friendly Farms, Timeless Noir, and Pacific Stone, not quite as tasty as Alpine Vapor, Buddies, and Heavy Hitters
Mai Tai is a balanced hybrid cross between Maui Waui and Tutti Frutti. The taste of this Mai Tai badder sauce cartridge is fruity, earthy, and floral. It has hints of sweet and sour citrus, tart tropical berries. All of that is followed by a touch of fresh mint on the exhale. Overall, this badder sauce cartridge tastes slightly better than the cured resin sauce cartridges from Friendly Farms, Timeless Noir, and Pacific Stone. However, the live resin cartridges from Alpine Vapor, Buddies, and Heavy Hitters were slightly tastier than this badder sauce cartridge.
Potency felt similar to Runtz and the Legion of Bloom, but not as potent as Blue River jelly sauce cartridge
The effects of Mai Tai felt initially uplifting, euphoric, and sociable then calm, tingly, and relaxing. This badder sauce cartridge is perfect for creative activities during the daytime. It is also great for unwinding with your favorite TV show during the weekend. Overall, this badder sauce cartridge wasn’t quite as potent as the Blue River Jelly sauce cartridge as well as the live resin cartridges from Alpine, Buddies, and Heavy Hitters.
The potency also felt similar to the Runtz sauce cartridge from Cookies Enterprises and the Legion of Bloom California sauce cartridge. However, it was tastier and felt more potent than Permanent Holiday live resin cartridges as well as HIFLY sauce pods.
Tastier and felt more potent than Permanent Holiday and Hi Fly sauce pods
The new Kurvana Carbon21 sauce cartridges are usually priced around $40 for a half-gram. In my opinion, these sauce cartridges are recommended for their potency, taste, and smoothness, although they are slightly more expensive than most other regular sauce cartridges. The primary terpenes are listed as B-Caryophyllene, Linalool, and Limonene. The effects of Mai Tai are intended to treat symptoms of chronic pain, depression, anxiety, inflammation, and stress. The total THC % is 77.05%, the total CBD % is 0.31%, and the total cannabinoid % is 85.08%.

The new Kurvana Carbon21 sauce cartridges have strong potency, excellent taste, and incredibly smooth airflow
In conclusion, I would recommend the new Kurvana sauce carts for their strong potency, excellent taste, and incredibly smooth airflow. Although I enjoyed this Mai Tai Badder sauce cartridge, I slightly preferred the taste and smoothness of the Zkittlez sauce cartridge. Overall, this badder sauce cartridge tastes slightly better than the cured resin sauce cartridges from Friendly Farms, Timeless Noir, and Pacific Stone. The potency also felt similar to the Runtz sauce cartridge from Cookies Enterprises and the Legion of Bloom California sauce cartridge. However, the live resin cartridges from Alpine Vapor, Buddies, and Heavy Hitters were slightly tastier than this badder sauce cartridge.
Kurvana’s Carbon21 series and their ASCND series are available in select dispensaries throughout California, which can be found with their store locator here. Have you tried them? Let us know what you think in the comments or on our forum.
