This time we revisit Gold Drop, which is based out of Oakland, California. We have previously reviewed their cartridges here and their syringes here. Gold Drop has won numerous awards at Hempcon, The Emerald Cup, and Chalice Cup for several years. Most recently, their Orange Fruity Pebbles live resin diamond badder won third place in the High Times Northern California People’s Choice 2021 for solvent concentrates. Gold Drop sent us a sample of their award-winning strain as part of their black gold label. They also included their latest products in collaboration with Fig Farms, including their new indoor nug run cartridges. For this review, I will try both their black gold label and their collaborations with Fig Farms.

The look of Orange Fruity Pebbles is similar to Cosmic Brands, Wox Extracts, and MX Brand

First, I tried their Orange Fruity Pebbles live resin diamond badder from their black gold label. Orange Fruity Pebbles is a hybrid cross of Orange Juice and Fruity Pebbles OG. The look of the Orange Fruity Pebbles consists mostly of sauce with a few small to medium-sized diamonds. It has a golden yellow color with a sauce-like consistency, similar to some of the concentrates from Cosmic Brands, Wox Extracts, and MX Brand. The candy-like aroma of Orange Fruity Pebbles is sweet, tart, and pungent with notes of tropical fruits, berries, and pine. The aroma is very unique; it smells like fruity cereal in a bowl of orange juice, while the taste is slightly more generic.

The effects of Orange Fruity Pebbles provide both an uplifting head high followed by a relaxing body high. Its well-balanced effects make it perfect for mornings and afternoons. Orange Fruity Pebbles is known to treat symptoms of depression, fatigue, mood swings, stress, and anxiety. The THC % of Orange Fruity Pebbles is 78.71%. The total cannabinoid % is 91.54% and the total CBD % is 0.04%.

The look of Government Lemons is similar to Utopia Extracts, Cannabis Cvlt, and Loudpack Extracts

Next I sampled their Government Lemons nug run diamond badder. The look of Government Lemons consists of small chunky diamonds in a thick golden amber sauce. Its sugar-like consistency is similar to some of the concentrates from Utopia Extracts, Cannabis Cvlt, and Loudpack Extracts. Government Lemons, first bred by Seed Junky Genetics, is a rare Indica dominant hybrid cross between G13 and Lemon Hashplant. The aroma and flavor of Government Lemons are sour, earthy, and floral with notes of lemons, pine, and diesel. Government Lemons felt slightly Indica dominant where an initial cerebral high is followed by a mellow body high.

Its effects make it ideal for late afternoons and evenings. Although not much is known about Government Lemons, both of this strain’s parents have strong medicinal effects. G13 is known to treat symptoms of chronic pain, depression, anxiety, and insomnia. Lemon Hashplant is known to treat symptoms of mood swings, depression, chronic pain, migraines, and insomnia. The THC % of Government Lemons is 84.91%, the total cannabinoid % is 97.70% and the total percentage of terpenes is 2.66%.

Animal Mints BX1 nug run diamond sauce is my favorite of the three with the best flavor and consistency

Finally, my favorite of the three extracts is their Animal Mints BX1 nug run diamond sauce. The look of Animal Mints BX1 is similar to Government Lemons. Both consist of small chunky diamonds with slightly more sauce. Animal Mintz BX1, also bred by Seed Junky Genetics, is an Indica dominant hybrid. It’s a cross between Wedding Cake and Animal Mints F1. The aroma and flavor of Animal Mints are sweet, nutty, and minty with hints of pine, vanilla, and earth.

The effects of Animal Mints BX1 begin with a light head high. This is followed by a heavier body high before eventually leaving you sedated. Its effects are best enjoyed at nighttime and during the weekends. Animal Mints is known to treat chronic pain, cramps, depression, stress, muscle spasms, and insomnia. The THC % of Animal Mints BX1 is 80.32%, the total cannabinoid % is 94.37%. The total percentage of terpenes is 3.34%.

Orange Fruity Pebbles tasted slightly more generic than the other two choices from Fig Farms

The retail price for Gold Drop black gold label concentrates is $20 for a gram, pre-tax. The retail price for the concentrates from their Fig Farms collaborations is $30 for a gram, pre-tax. Ironically, I preferred the potency and flavor of both Fig Farms collaborations over their award-winning Orange Fruity Pebbles. In addition, the Orange Fruity Pebbles live resin diamond badder tasted slightly more generic than the other two choices from Fig Farms. The other strains available from their Fig Farms collaborations will be Blue Face, Figment, Kush Mint Cookies, and Sweet “Pee.”

Overall, I would highly recommend the new concentrates from Gold Drop’s latest collaboration with Fig Farms

So that was our round trip tour of Gold Drop concentrates! Gold Drop concentrates offers excellent quality, solid potency, and great flavor for a lower price than most similar concentrates. While I enjoyed the potency of Orange Fruity Pebbles, the flavor was slightly more generic than its aroma. However, their new concentrates from Fig Farms were tastier and felt stronger than their Orange Fruity Pebbles.
