We will detail our experience objectively as always in our non-affiliate reviews. The retail price for Dr. Dabber Stella currently runs for $99.95 on their website. For this review, I will take a look at the pros and cons of the Dr. Stella wax pen vaporizer.
Pros:
- Excellent build quality
- User-friendly design
- Long-lasting battery
- Highly efficient performance
- Very discreet and compact size
Cons:
- None
Recommendations: None
The Dr. Dabber Stella is a sleek and compact wax pen that’s almost as efficient as the Utillian 5, which is slightly bulkier than the Dr. Dabber Stella
The Dr. Dabber Stella is a sleek wax pen that comes in a slim portable carrying case with the Dr. Dabber logo. In my opinion, the Dr. Dabber Stella wax pen is easily one of the most user-friendly and intuitively designed wax pens on the market, providing a great starting point for beginners and casual users. The black stainless steel Dr. Dabber unit mainly consists of three main components:
- a mouthpiece
- 1 ceramic atomizer
- 1 (600 maH) battery
Also, included is a USB charging cable and a stainless steel dab tool. Although the 600 maH battery doesn’t work with 510 threaded cartridges, it shows its wide versatility elsewhere. The Dr. Dabber Stella wax pen can accommodate various forms of extracts, including everything from live resin syringes to cold cure live rosin. The build design and performance of the Dr. Dabber Stella is among the best and most efficient, utilizing a “cyclone airflow” design with a chamber heating element that prevents burnt-tasting hits. Overall, this Stella wax pen is almost as efficient as the Utillian 5 in a slightly more compact size as well as being very discreet in appearance. The charging port is also located on the side of the battery, which makes it easier to charge in an upright position.
Operating the Dr. Stella unit is easy to assemble and use in just a few steps:
- Unscrew and charge the battery
- Remove the magnetically attached mouthpiece from the chamber
- Load your preferred extracts into the chamber, carefully push the extract to the bottom of the chamber if needed
- Then reattach the magnetic mouthpiece and battery
- Turn on the battery by pressing it five times quickly
- Press three times quickly to change the heat setting.
- The wax pen has 3 main voltage settings:
- green (550 degrees)
- cyan (630 degrees)
- orange (775 degrees)
- Double click the power button to start the pre-heating cycle
- Hold down the power button and inhale after a few seconds
Cleaning and maintaining the Dr. Dabber Stella is very easy, similar to Linx Hypnos Zero
The maintenance is extremely simple as you only need to swab the chamber with some alcohol and Q-tips. Then cleaning the mouthpiece while charging the battery if needed. As for the voltage setting, I found the cyan setting to be a sufficiently efficient voltage setting for most of the extracts I have tried with the Dr. Dabber Stella wax pen. The Dr. Dabber Stella is similarly easy to use and maintain as the Linx Hypnos Zero. However, the ceramic chamber for Dr. Dabber Stella is easier to clean and maintain than the triple and single-coil atomizers for Utillian 5.
The performance and battery life of the Dr. Dabber Stella is slightly stronger and longer-lasting than the Linx Hypnos Zero
Compared to other similar wax pens, the performance and battery life of the Dr. Dabber Stella is slightly stronger and longer-lasting but slightly bulkier than the Linx Hypnos Zero. However, the Dr. Dabber Stella is slightly pricier than both the Hypnos Zero and the Utillian 5, in terms of wax pens. Though the Utillian 5 is overall stronger and more efficient for its coiled atomizers, the Dr. Dabber Stella fits in the hand very nicely, which is slightly more compact than the Utillian 5. This wax pen is slightly more discreet and user-friendly than the Utillian 5 for beginners, even for casual users.

Overall, Dr. Dabber Stella wax pen is recommended
In conclusion, the Dr. Dabber Stella wax pen is highly recommended for its excellent build quality, intuitive design, long-lasting battery, and its highly efficient performance. Its compact size is slightly more discreet and feels significantly lighter than the Utillian 5 wax pen. However, the performance and battery life of this wax pen felt stronger and longer-lasting than the Linx Hypnos Zero. Dr. Dabber Stella currently runs for $99.95 on their website here.
