This week, we will take a look at HIFLY sauce pods, the newest pods from HIFLY Vapes. This is the first time I’m buying HIFLY vapes, as I never tried the distillate which arrives in the form of a ceramic cartridge and pod system. HIFLY currently offers distillate and live resin sauce in both 510-threaded ceramic cartridges and VFire pods as well as budget-friendly flower eighths and concentrates. For this review, I will take a look at the pros and cons of HIFLY Gushers sauce pods.
Recommendations: The taste can be improved.
For this review, I picked their Gushers sauce cartridge, which is a very popular Indica dominant hybrid between Gelato 41 and Triangle Kush. The total % is 80.22% and the total cannabinoid % is 81.5%. When opening the package, the pod is inside a white plastic pouch with a see-through window making the label visible. The oil has a darker and thicker amber quality, very similar to Legion of Bloom, Heavy Hitters Live, and ABX Live. This oil seems to burn at a relatively normal rate for a sauce pod, which utilizes the vFire pod system. Despite using the vFire pod system, the thicker looking oil in the HIFLY sauce pod also burned slower than the recent Stiiizy Silver pod, which looks lighter in color than HIFLY sauce pods.
The build quality and design of the vFire battery by IKrusher is powerful and sturdy. It’s better than the regular Stiiizy Battery and on par with CCELL dart batteries. There were little to no airflow issues for most of this vFire pod. Each HIFLY sauce pod has a white sticker labeled with the strain name and type of strain, which makes it easily identifiable.
The effects of this HIFLY sauce pod felt initially uplifting and euphoric before settling into a more relaxed mode. The effects felt strong as the vFire provides fairly potent hits. This strain is perfect for late afternoons and evenings. Its potency is similar to Legion of Bloom, Heavy Hitters Live, and ABX Live; however, it feels stronger than the Stiiizy Silver.
The taste itself is earthy, fruity, and floral with hints of tropical fruits and berries. Although the HIFLY sauce pods were far from the worst I’ve had, they felt harsher than the Stiiizy Silver pods. I slightly preferred the taste of the Stiiizy Silver pods over HIFLY sauce pods. The taste is also harsher than Legion of Bloom, Heavy Hitters Live, and ABX Live, all of which had more flavor.
The HIFLY VFire pod is also made of plastic with a ceramic coil, same as Plug Play pods The vFire pod battery is stronger than Stiiizy pods as it delivers strong, milkier clouds. Similar to the Stiiizy pods, they use a secure magnetic connection from the pod to the battery.
The pricing for HiFly sauce carts is usually $25 for a half gram and $50 for a full gram pre-tax. In my opinion, they are acceptable as a very good budget-friendly sauce pod that may be slightly too harsh in terms of taste but they are fairly potent. Overall, this would be a mild recommendation similar to Stiiizy Silver, but for different issues. While this HIFLY sauce pod feels more potent, Stiiizy Silver has better flavor.
In conclusion, if you’re looking for a budget-friendly choice for a sauce pod, HIFLY sauce pods might be for you. I would personally prefer the taste of Stiiizy Silver, the hits of this HIFLY sauce pod were fairly potent and the vFire battery is overall better than the Stiiizy battery. So if you’re looking for potency, I would choose HIFLY sauce pods, but if you are looking for taste, I would choose the Stiiizy Silver pods. Most HIFLY products, including their flower eighths, cartridges, pods, and concentrates, are currently available in most dispensaries throughout California.
