Today we will take a look at Schackow Solventless from Schackow Farms. They have previously collaborated with Ursa Extracts in the past for their live resin sauce. Schackow Farms uses sun-grown flower single-sourced from their farms for their fresh frozen concentrates, including their live rosin. For this review, I’ll take a look at the pros and cons of Schackow Solventless live rosin.

This week, I picked up Kush Mints and Animal Mints live rosins from Schackow Farms. Originally bred by Seed Junky Genetics, Kush Mints is a balanced hybrid cross between Animal Mints and Bubba Kush, which is high in caryophyllene. In fact, the most dominant terpenes in Kush Mints are said to be limonene, myrcene, and caryophyllene. The dark amber look of this rosin has a tree sap-like consistency which pulls away like soft caramel taffy. This live rosin looks slightly darker in appearance and slightly easier to handle than live rosins from West Coast Cure and 11:11 Cannabis Co.
The herbal aroma of this Kush Mints rosin is sweet, earthy, and minty with sharp hints of garlic, pepper, caramel, pine, and coffee. Its aroma was slightly more pungent than the live rosins from West Coast Cure and 11:11 Cannabis Co. The flavor of this Kush Mints live rosin was predominantly minty, earthy, and floral with a sweet, spicy, and piney aftertaste. Overall, Shackow Solventless Kush Mints live rosin was just as tasty and smooth as West Coast Cure Papaya and 11:11 Cannabis Co Watermelon Zkittlez.
The effects of this Kush Mints live rosin felt uplifting, relaxing, and creative after some initial cerebral euphoria. This strain was perfect for afternoons and early evenings. Its Bubba Kush genetics is known to treat symptoms of nerve pain, inflammation, anxiety, fatigue, and insomnia. The THC % of Kush Mints is 69.3% and CBD % is 0.22%.
This week, I also picked up Animal Mints, which is a three-way cross between Animal Cookies, Girl Scout Cookies, and Blue Power, first bred by Seed Junky Genetics. The aroma is similarly sweet, earthy, nutty, and minty with hints of garlic, onions, pepper, vanilla, and pine. The taste is also earthy, nutty, and minty with a creamy vanilla aftertaste.
The effects of this Animal Mints live rosin felt similar to the Kush Mints live rosin. It was also perfect for afternoons and early evenings. The THC % is 65.26% and the CBD % is 0.29%. Overall, I preferred the potency of the Kush Mints live rosin over the Animal Mints live rosin. However, I preferred the taste of the Animal Mints live rosin over the Kush Mints live rosin.
The pricing for Schackow Solventless live rosin is roughly around $65 for a gram, pre-tax. It’s slightly less expensive than WCC Papaya fresh press and 11:11 Cannabis Co Watermelon Zkittlez fresh press. This was just as effective in its entourage effects as the fresh press live rosin from WCC, 11:11 Cannabis Co., and Kalya Extracts at an even more affordable price.
In conclusion, Schackow Solventless live rosin is easily one of the best new live rosins for its excellent quality, potent medicinal effects, and incredibly smooth taste. It was just as tasty and smooth as WCC Papaya fresh press and 11:11 Cannabis Co Watermelon Zkittlez fresh press. It’s also less expensive than most live rosins with the quality almost equal to Kalya Extracts fresh press live rosin. Schackow live rosin is currently available in select dispensaries and delivery services throughout California.
