Today we will try out the Soldier 2-in-1, one of the latest silicone glass pieces from Waxmaid. They are mostly known for their signature smoking rigs and accessories built out of silicone and glass. Currently, Waxmaid sells flower pipes, water pipes, reclaim/ash catchers, nectar collectors, grinders, and miscellaneous accessories. We have previously reviewed their Traveler Water Bottle Pipe here, One-Hitter Dugout here, and the Ares E-rig here. Currently, the Waxmaid Soldier 2-in-1 Water Pipe & Nectar Collector runs for a full retail price of $69.99 on their website. For this review, I will see if their Waxmaid Soldier 2-in-1 Water Pipe & Nectar Collector is worth the price.

Waxmaid Soldier 2-in-1 Water Pipe & Nectar Collector has the ability to work with both herbs and extracts

The Waxmaid Soldier 2-in-1 Water Pipe & Nectar Collector is basically the Swiss Army knife of silicone rigs. Like the Traveler Water Bottle Pipe, this silicone rig has a unique yet practical design with storage units for both ground herbs and extracts. The Soldier has the ability to work with both herbs and extracts in a variety of different functions. The Soldier kit includes the following:

• 45-degree quartz banger (14mm female joint)

• Birds nest flower bowl (14mm & 18mm female joint)

• Glass flower container

• Silicone wax container

• Thick glass percolator

• Silicone downstem

• Titanium nail

The Waxmaid Soldier is bulkier than the mini rigs from Hemper, Daily High Club, and MJ Arsenal

The Soldier kit includes a silicone bird’s nest bowl that works with dry herb, but it has no issues working with other flower bowls. In addition to the bird’s nest bowl, they have included a 45-degree quartz banger, but the Soldier can also accommodate most 14mm male quartz bangers/slurpers. For the best results, a 45-degree quartz banger/slurper is highly recommended for this piece. The Waxmaid Soldier also functions as a nectar collector using the detachable mouthpiece with the titanium nail located at the base of the Soldier. Once assembled, the size of this rig is bulkier than the mini rigs from Hemper

The Waxmaid Soldier is also better and more efficient than their Traveler Water Bottle Pipe

One of the advantages of owning a mostly silicone piece is that it’s hard to break, which should appeal to anyone going to a park or beach without carrying around a heavier glass rig/bong. The silicone parts of this rig make it harder to break, easier to clean, and can be easily packed in any camping gear or backpack. The overall design, performance, and airflow of the Soldier are also better and more efficient than their Traveler Water Bottle Pipe.

In conclusion, the Waxmaid Soldier is recommended for its multi-functional design, smooth airflow, and its ability to work with both herbs and extracts.
