XMAX V3 Pro Review – Extreme Versatility

Share

Today we will take a deep dive into the XMax V3 Pro from XMAX, one of the latest dual-use vaporizers that work with both herbs and extracts. Prior to this review, we have previously reviewed their Starry 3.0 here and Qomo mini E-rig here. XMax currently offers a varied selection of herb and concentrate vaporizers, including the XVape Vista Mini 2. The kit currently runs for $109.00 on their official website. We will detail our experience objectively as always in our non-affiliate reviews. For this review, we will see how the XMAX V3 Pro fares compared to other similar dry herb and extract vaporizers on the market.

Pros:

  • Extreme versatility
  • Solid performance
  • Great flavor
  • Not quite as expensive as others

Cons:

  • Doesn’t work well with extracts

Recommendations: This dry herb vaporizer is most effective when working with herbs rather than extracts.

The interface is easy to use, similar to the RYOT Verb dry herb vaporizer, Pulsar APX Vape, and others

The XMax V3 Pro is the newest dry herb convection vaporizer with the unique form factor of a portable wax pen. Similar to the

RYOT Verb or the Pulsar APX Vape V3 dry herb vaporizers, the easy-to-use interface also includes only the power button and the two main temperature adjustment buttons.

One of the best new features for the XMAX V3 Pro is the addition of a glass mouthpiece and a glass adapter for your rig/bong

The XMAX V3 Pro has also made significant upgrades to the previous models in a number of versatile functions. In addition to the plastic mouthpiece, they have also conveniently included a glass mouthpiece. However, one of the best aspects of this device is its glass adapter and its capability to work with most glass rigs and/or bongs. The kit includes the following:

  • V3 Pro unit
  • Cleaning brush
  • 1 set of 3 cotton swabs
  • USB-C charging cable
  • 1 set of 4 alcohol pads
  • Instruction manual
  • 1 wax cup

The XMAX V3 Pro is easy to operate, whether you’re a novice or a seasoned pro

The interface on the OLED screen in front of the unit displays the following (starting from the top left corner):

  • The current battery life
  • The Fahrenheit/Celsius icon
  • The countdown timer
  • The temperature setting of your choice
  • The current temperature located at the bottom of the menu

The second most important upgrade of the XMAX Pro V3 is the dual-use as a flower and wax device with the provided wax cup. The heating chamber can accommodate most concentrates, including live resin. However, the wax cup isn’t as efficient as its flower heating chamber. Like Starry 3.0, the battery life is 2600mAh, and the temperature ranges from 212°F – 428°F. Similarly, both devices from XMAX are able to work with herbs and extracts.

Here are a few key differences between the XMAX V3 Pro and other similar dry herb vaporizers

The convection oven shape and size most resembles the Pulsar APX V3 dry herb vaporizer

While the heating oven for the Starry 3.0 and the RYOT Verb is more rectangular in shape and wider in diameter, the oven in the XMAX V3 Pro is slightly deeper. The battery life and performance of the XMAX V3 Pro are about twice as much as the RYOT Verb. Its overall design and form factor is similar to the Pulsar APX V3 dry herb vaporizer. However, the Pulsar V3 Pro dry herb vaporizer feels slightly stronger and more efficient with better vapor production and quicker heat-up time. I found 428 degrees Fahrenheit to be sufficient enough for most herbs, including Fleetwood greenhouse flower from Claybourne Co. this week.

Although the V3 Pro kit includes a wax cup, this device is better suited for using herbs than extracts

Based on my experience, the heat settings aren’t high enough for using extracts for this device. Since this device is considerably weak when it comes to dealing with extracts, I would recommend looking elsewhere for a better extract vaporizer, such as the VLAB Halo, the Waxmaid Ares, and the Ispire Wand.

Cleaning and maintaining the V3 Pro is very easy and simple as the only thing to worry about is the convection oven chamber

After each usage, empty the oven chamber of all herbs then swab the inside of the oven chamber by using a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol. To charge the device, the USB charging port is also located at the bottom of the device. A set of 3 cotton swabs, a cleaning brush, and a few alcohol pads are included in the contents of the kit.

The XMAX V3 is easily one of the best new dry herb vaporizers for its extreme versatility, solid performance, and great flavor

All things considered, I would highly recommend the XMAX V3 Pro dry herb vaporizer for its extreme versatility, solid performance, and great flavor. While Pulsar APX Vape V3 dry herb vaporizer is stronger and more efficient than the XMAX V3 Pro, the overall battery life and performance of the XMAX V3 Pro is much better than the RYOT Verb. The retail price for the XMAX V3 Pro is also not quite as expensive as other similar dry herb vaporizers, such as the PAX 3. You can find The XMax V3 Pro, which is available in black and silver, on their official website here.
