Headstash Live Resin Review – Solid and Very Affordable

Share

Today we will take a look at Headstash live resin, which was established as a budget-friendly women-owned sister brand from Utopia Extracts. They were recently established in 2019. We have also previously reviewed their live resin concentrates here. Headstash currently offers concentrates and Pax Pods for a slightly more affordable value than what they offer with Utopia Extracts. They offer multiple different consistencies for their live resin concentrates, including sugars, sauces, and badders. For this review, I will see how their live resin sugar stacks up against their other live resin under Utopia Extracts.

Pros:

  • Very good quality/consistency
  • Solid potency
  • Very affordable price

Cons:

  • Taste can be slightly improved

Recommendations: Hard to argue for the price, though the flavor could be slightly improved.

The color and consistency of Headstash live resin resembles Highlights, Highland Oil Co., and Ammo Brand

This week, I picked up two different strains of live resin sugars from Headstash powered by Utopia Extracts. The presentation of the Headstash box is plain and simple. The logo is above its name on a light blue box. Its logo is printed above its name with a silhouette of an angry-looking owl. The appearance of both live resin looks similar to Utopia Extracts. They have a slightly drier consistency and even darker amber hue. Its overall color and consistency also resemble the live resin and/or cured resin from

Highlights from Connected Cannabis Co., Highland Oil Co., and Ammo Brand.

Slightly fresher and/or better tasting than Highlights from Connected Co., Highland Oil Company, and Ammo Brand

This week, I picked up their Crunch Berries, which is an Indica dominant hybrid cross between DJ Short’s Blueberry and a male phenotype of Triple OG. The gassy aroma and flavor of Crunch Berries were sweet, fruity, and floral. They also had creamy hints of blueberries, cream, and earth. The effects of Crunch Berries felt mellow and relaxing yet still physically active and mentally creative. This live resin was slightly fresher and/or better tasting than some of the concentrates from Highlights from Connected Co., Highland Oil Company, and Ammo Brand. This strain is intended to treat symptoms of chronic pain, anxiety, insomnia, and appetite loss. The THC % of Crunch Berries is 79.87% and the sum of cannabinoids is 92.55%.

Still miles better than 831 Extracts, in terms of potency, freshness, and flavor

I also picked up Melon N Mintz, which is a unique hybrid cross between MelonBred #4 x Thin Mintz. The floral aroma and flavor of Melon N Mintz are spicy, earthy, and minty with hints of melon, pine, and assorted tropical fruit. The effects of Melon N Mintz felt uplifting, relaxing, and euphoric. The effects of Melon N Mintz offered a balanced high. Between cerebral euphoria and tension relief in the body but felt more Indica in its overall effects. This live resin was almost or just as potent as both the Cali Berry and Apple Fritter from Utopia Extracts for a slightly more affordable value. However, this was miles better than the live and cured resin from 831 Extracts in every way. That includes potency, freshness, and flavor. The THC % of Melon N Mintz is 77.07% and the sum of cannabinoids is 90.49%.

Almost or just as potent as Utopia Extracts for a slightly more affordable value

Headstash live resin sugar is usually priced at around $25 for a gram or less, pre-tax. Headstash also offers distillate Pax pods that are also priced at around 25 for a half gram Pax pod. In my opinion, I would definitely recommend the live resin sugar for its solid overall consistency, potency, and flavor for a very affordable price. Though I would also highly recommend Utopia Extracts, especially since it’s only a few more dollars than their sister brand Headstash. In final summation, I enjoyed both live resin sugars from Headstash towards the latter half of the day as both felt more like Indica-leaning hybrid strains. Both live resin sugars felt better suited for afternoons & evenings as well as during weekends & days off.

Overall, I would highly recommend Headstash for its easy-to-handle consistency, solid potency, and good taste for a low price

Final score: Headstash live resin is highly recommended for its easy-to-handle consistency, solid potency, and good taste for a very affordable value. This may not be the best or tastiest live resin out there. It is slightly better than Highlights from Connected Co., Highland Oil Company, and Ammo Brand. It is also miles better than 831 Extracts, in terms of overall potency, freshness and flavor. You can find all Headstash products, including all their live resin concentrates and Pax pods, with their store locator here.
