Leune Pax Pods Review – Great Live Resin, OK Distillate

Share

Today we will take a look at Pax Pods by Leune, a women-of-color-owned cannabis brand based out of Los Angeles, CA. Leune currently offers disposables, pre-rolls, and Pax pods at most dispensaries throughout California. I only have had their pre-rolls on Eaze, a local delivery service in California. The packaging always looked clean and simple in old school looking tins. Recently, the brand was featured as the best purse-friendly vape in LA Weekly last year. For this review, I will be looking specifically at the pros and cons of the Leune live resin and distillate Pax pods.

Pros:

  • Great potency/effects for live resin
  • Very good oil quality for both pods
  • Affordable prices
  • Efficient hardware

Cons:

  • Average potency/taste for distillate pods

Recommendations: The distillate pods could be stronger in taste and potency.

Here’s the two Leune Pax Pods used in this review.

Oil quality is similar to Heavy Hitters Live, Legion of Bloom California sauce, ABX Live

This week, one of the items I picked up was Leune Tangie (the current seasonal strain) live resin for the Pax Era Pro, which is the newest update to the Pax Era.

Tangie is a classic Sativa hybrid cross between California Orange and Skunk #1. The THC % of the Tangie live resin Pax pod is 75.01%, the CBD % is 0.24% and the sum of cannabinoids is 80.81%. The Tangie live resin Pax pod comes with the standard packaging from Pax, which now has a thin red line below the mouthpiece. The oil quality for the Tangie live resin is darker, similar to Heavy Hitters Live, Legion of Bloom California sauce, ABX Live. This oil seems to burn at a relatively normal rate for a Pax pod.
The Naked pod is darker than the Cloud Berry.

Best live resin Pax pod I’ve had since the Legion of Bloom California Sauce Pax pods

The taste of this Tangie live resin is heavy on the citrus with floral hints of lemons, oranges, and earth. The effects of Tangie felt uplifting, relaxing, and focused. It helped with symptoms of chronic pain, depression, anxiety, stress, and fatigue. This strain was perfect for daytime, inspiring creativity, and increasing focus. However, the Pax Era Pro is still weaker compared to other batteries, like Stiiizy and vFire. Although the effects don’t feel quite as potent, this is the best live resin Pax pod I’ve had since the Legion of Bloom California Sauce Pax pods.

Here’s each one in front of their boxes.

Cloud Berry distillate isn’t quite as tasty and potent as the Tangie live resin Pax pod

The second item I picked up was the Leune Cloud Berry distillate Pax pod. Cloud Berry is an indica hybrid cross of unknown origin. The taste of Cloud Berry is sweet and floral with creamy hints of blackberries, lemons, and earth. The effects of Cloud Berry felt uplifting, relaxing, and euphoric. This strain was perfect for afternoons and evenings. However, this Cloud Berry distillate isn’t quite as tasty and potent as the Tangie live resin Pax pod. The THC % of the Cloud Berry distillate Pax pod is 80.78%, the CBD % is 0.75% and the sum of cannabinoids is not listed. Although it was far from the worst, the Cloud Berry distillate wasn’t quite as effective as the Tangie live resin Pax pod in treating my nerve pain.

Both came in just under 81% THC.

Tangie live resin was tastier and felt more potent with better medicinal effects

The pricing for Leune live resin Pax pods, which only comes in half grams, are usually around $30, pre-tax. In my opinion, I would recommend the Tangie live resin Pax pod over the Cloud Berry distillate. On the other hand, I would not recommend the Cloud Berry distillate which I barely felt in terms of potency. The Tangie live resin was tastier and felt more potent with better medicinal effects. Overall, Leune Tangie live resin is similar to Stiiizy Silver, in terms of quality, flavor and potency. However, Cloud Berry isn’t quite on the level of the Tangie live resin, which is the better, more potent choice.

Tangie live resin is worth your purchase, while the Cloud Berry distillate is not

In conclusion, Leune live resin is highly recommended, especially if you have a Pax Era Pro. This is perfect for work breaks or outdoor evenings as it provides a strong head change. The Tangie live resin is worth your purchase, while the Cloud Berry distillate is not. Overall, I would recommend Leune Tangie live resin for its better quality, better taste, and relatively higher potency. Most Leune products, including their disposables, pre-rolls, and Pax pods, are currently available in most dispensaries throughout California.
