Best and Worst Vape Cartridge Designs of 2020

12
best and worst cartridge designs

Here we go through the best and worst types of cartridge hardware for 2019. There’s a lot more variance in vape cartridge hardware that is used for THC and CBD oil than ever before. However, many THC oil brands are converging to the TH2 series by CCELL.

Best:

Worst:

These design styles are ahead of the pack. We get sent a lot of cartridges to us here at DabConnection. Manufacturers are often looking for a review, an opinion on the hardware, or they send it to us thinking our site sells products (we don’t). ALD and CCELL’s designs stand out among the pack.

BBTank X: Huge clouds, excellent taste, smooth hits

bbtank x
Half gram on the left, full gram without the bottom on the right. They use the same bottom atomizer.

The BBTank X is new for 2020 and is similar to what is used on the Left Coast Extracts cart. Hits are strong yet unbelievably smooth. The clouds produced by this are some of the biggest we have seen and by far this cart has the best large cloud to smoothness of hit ratio.

We’re hoping to see this piece of hardware picked up by more THC oil companies in 2020. You can learn more about the BBTank X by checking out our in-depth review.

CCELL TH2 Series: Consistently awesome quality

ccell TH2
Might not look as cool as pods, but the TH2 series works awesome.

CCELL’s newest generation of cartridges all have the same core. The M6T or the versions you find on Select Elite cartridges will effectively hit the same as the TH2. The reason we select the TH2 above the other CCELL cartridge designs is it’s easily refillable. When you get it on a prefill like a Sunday Goods cart, you can unscrew and refill with more oil. TH2’s come in three sizes: 1000ml, 500ml, and 300ml.

ccell core
The small core on new gen CCELLs heats up well.

In the event there is a failure, you can also get the oil out much easier.

SPRK cartridge by PCKT Vapor: Made for refilling, awesome flavor

The SPRK currently only comes as a fill-your-own cartridge but we’re hoping soon to see it in prefills as well. It uses very thick glass and a thick metal mouthpiece. It’s got some weight to it and you can feel the build quality. Heating is done via ceramic core and this cart has the best airflow of the bunch. The low placed intake holes also make it the most efficient.

sprk cartridge
Quality build and quality hits come off the SPRK.

Our favorite thing about the SPRK cart? It’s made for refilling. PCKT encourages you to refill it, whereas many companies clearly state their carts are made for one time use. See our SPRK cartridge review for more info.

ALD makes Stiiizy and vFire: Similar cores, Stiiizy comes prefilled

Stiiizy vs Alpine vapor
Stiiizy Pen is still unbeatable!

We put these two together because they are essentially the same internal hardware and are both manufactured by ALD. The difference is the Stiiizy vape comes prefilled and Stiiizy had exclusive rights over the hardware. A lot of people still like the prefilled Stiiizy pods, but I think they are way weaker than they were in late 2017. Once Stiiizy went from light colored to dark colored oil, things changed.

ald vfire
The vFire is basically an empty, square shaped Stiiizy.

That does not mean they are not good hardware though. Refill Stiiizy pods with stronger oil and you got a real hitter.  Both “gram” and “half gram” pods are available for Stiiizy, but we found before that the half grams are actually 375ml.

The vFire vape is just a different form factor, but is essentially a  square shaped Stiiizy. The vFire battery is $22.95 and replacement pods are $6.95 each. You can often find a Stiiizy battery for $20 at dispensaries and a filled for $30 for a comparison. vFire pods come in 500ml and 1000ml sizes.

CCELL Uno and Dart: Strongest hitting vape pods

ccell uno review

We recently did a CCELL Uno review and found it to be the hardest hitting pod system. I have also hit the Dart and it uses the same pods as the Uno. This might be a one-off experience, but so far I get a bit harder hits from the Uno than the Dart.

ccell dart and uno mouthpieces
The main difference between Dart and Uno pods is the mouthpiece.

The Uno is so far the hardest hitting pod system we have tried, but it does go through oil quickly. I will burn up a half gram in an Uno pod 1/3 faster than I would in a regular cartridge. For this reason some might prefer the lighter hitting ALD products, but I would take the Uno first any day. See our CCELL Uno review for more info.

Worst designs: G Pen Gio, Top Airflow Wire Core, Brass Knuckles, Hempod, Old CCELL (and clones)

All four of these types just don’t give the best hit for one reason or another. Wicks, weak, not enough airflow, the problems are there on each one.

G Pen Gio: So close to being a great oil vape pen

g pen gio
Such a great form factor, just needs a new core.

Update 7/25/2020: Apparently G Pen has updated the core of the Gio. We will be breaking one down again soon to check.

The only problem we found in our G Pen Gio review is heating core. Feel, battery, discreetness, this setup almost has it all. We hope G Pen will make this a better product in the future with a core update. The wick on the Gio burns and that’s the issue we have with it. See below.

There’s a lot of good oil out there for the Gio. BaM pods are worth trying even with the burning core because they have awesome quality BHO oil you don’t see that often. Even with the burning core they still made our best cartridges Nevada list. We have only seen the Gio in 500ml variations.

Top Airflow Wire Core: Rove, Cannabiotix, Kynd and others

cannabiotix cartrdige
This style cart just does not hit that great.

These types of cartridges have some variation between them. You will see some with variable airflow and some with pre set airflow holes. Rove cartridges are still very good because they have great oil. You need a push button battery for these types of cartridges to work. Below is a breakdown of the cart.

top airflow cartridge
Here’s a top airflow cart that hits off wire broken down.

Top airflow cartridges are not compatible with the popular CCELL Palm and Silo. We found mod batteries tend to be best with these types of carts, but you may also like the battery included in the Rove Pro Pack. The main problem with these carts is they just do not hit that great. We seemed not to get the same hit strength as a CCELL and taste was not as good either. This style of cartridge is available in 500ml and 1000ml capacities.

Brass Knuckles style cartridges are outdated

brass knuckles napalm og cannabis vape cartridge
Brass Knuckles Napalm OG Packaging

These Brass Knuckles vapes are extremely popular. A lot of this is due to advertising and celebrity endorsements. People seem to either love them or hate them, but either way the hardware is dated. BK uses a coiled atomizer to heat the oil and it gives off a metalic taste. Failure rates are high on Brass Knuckles, my Napalm OG cart dying about 2/3 of the way through as an example. All Brass Knuckles cartridges are 1000ml.

Hempods and most Juul compatible pods

THC Juul pods have become popular since they are so discreet. The sad part is most of the designs for these pods are poor quality and involve hitting off the wick. We have heard that the ceramic core J Pods are more promising. In our Bare GoPods review we found that the ceramic core had too much mass to get heated properly from a standard wire. In Hempods, we found that the wick just gets nasty after some use, plus it leaks.

hempod atomizer
Hempod atomizer broken down.

There might be better Juul pod systems out there, but so far we have been disappointed with this style of atomizer.

Old CCELL cartridges have restricted airflow and poor taste

old ccell
That flat tip usually indicates poor airflow.

Many brands still use this last generation CCELL or a clone of it. Some of them are actual CCELLs and some of them are clones. Either way, this old style CCELL does not hit very well. Poor airflow and weak hits make this a type of cartridge we avoid. A good example is the cartridge by Toko Gold. The oil quality is amazing, but until you swap it to a better cart you won’t get that great of hits off it. These old style CCELL carts are available in 500ml and 1000ml.

Getting the best cartridge designs

When it comes to cartridge designs picking the best is easy. CCELL’s TH2 series and the PCKT Vapor SPRK are far above the rest of the pack currently, but that might change in the future. ALD’s vFire offers a great pod option that does not require you to buy anything prefilled.

Best Batteries For THC Vape Cartridges 2020: Here’s Our Top 8 Picks

best batteries vape cartridges

Here we go through our list of the best batteries for vape cartridges. So far the best battery for vape cartridges for 2019 is the Vessel, with the CCELL’s Silo and Palm rounding out the top 3. We should add that a lot of the batteries you see out there sold at dispensaries are re-branded CCELL Palms.

This list is not for eCig products, but to help you find the best battery for THC and CBD vape cartridges. We ranked batteries we have actually tried and the ones we tried were based on looking for batteries specifically for vape cartridges. There are a lot more batteries out there and no way we can test them all, so we appreciate your suggestions by commenting below to spread the word on great vape batteries.

Our best vape batteries for THC vape cartridges list is simple: The better the hit, the higher the placement

The most important factor for most users on choosing the best vape battery for cartridges is how good does it hit. Battery life is important, but a battery can last all day and deliver poor quality hits compared to others. Sure, you can get 1300mah EVOD and the battery may last a couple weeks, but if the air flow is not on point, its not one of the best batteries for vape cartridges.

These picks are based on actual use and no one can pay for a spot

Companies cannot pay for any placement on our list nor reviews of products. DabConnection does not receive a commission for any sales on this site. We direct you to the lowest price currently available on the internet.

If you find a lower price please comment below and we will update the list after verifying it. On to the picks for the best batteries for vape cartridges!

Vessel Compass: Hits all points perfect for CCELL

Vessel_Compass_review
Compass vape battery box on the left and battery with 1g cart on the right.

The Vessel Compass is new for 2020. It’s MSRP is less than the original at $59, it has more mAh at 550 instead of 280, but it does not have as complicated a finish. However, the airflow is identical and airflow is what makes the original Vessel battery still one of our top picks.

It also fits Rove carts and hits them well. It has protection for the cartridge built into the battery, so it will not fit ultra-thick cartridges like the BBTank X and Ispire Ducore.

Direct USB-C charging and the best-placed button on a battery so far

vessel usb c charger
DCIM100MEDIADJI_0761.JPG

When the compass battery is on all you need to do is squeeze to use it. The location of the button makes it very easy to activate in a discreet way. t also features direct USB-C charging. This makes it way easier to find an available charger than the prior vessel battery and nowadays even than a regular micro-USB charger.

Vessel Battery: The best airflow delivers the best battery for vape cartridges, but also highest cost

best battery for vape cartridges vessel
Overall the Vessel performs the best due to airflow.

The Vessel battery is a product of Vessel Brand, a California based company. Check out our Vessel battery review for an in depth look, but here we’ll tell you the basics on why it takes the top spot. First, airflow is as perfect as it can get on a battery for vape cartridges.

Second, it has the highest build quality which produces the most solid feel. Third, the auto shutoff as an extra safety feature is a great add on. It is one of the lower capacity batteries at 240maH, but it does charge quickly with the included quick charger.

Vessel’s superior airflow is due to air hole placement

vessel battery airflow
Six airflow holes strategically placed are what make Vessel the best cartridge battery.

When you look at the area of the Vessel battery right below the threading on which the cartridge connects, you will see a series of air holes around it. It appears at first sight the airflow is controlled by the screw on top, but it is in fact regulated by these miniature holes that go around in a circle below the threading. That’s the secret that makes the Vessel battery superior.

High MSRP at $99, but coupons make a better deal at $70

Cost on the Vessel is an issue for some. At an MSRP of $99.99 it’s the highest priced battery for vape cartridges. We got a fix for that: use coupon code REDDIT30 for 30% off, making it a much sweeter deal at $70. Keep an eye on our Vessel Brand coupon page for the latest coupons.

Warranty and performance, can’t go wrong with the Vessel

The Vessel works with both top and bottom airflow vape cartridges. It’s the best performing abttery with CCELL cartridges, currently the industry standard and used in popular carts like Select Elite, Jetty Extracts and Roots. Most pull draw batteries, those that are activated by inhaling, don’t work with top airflow cartridges like we found on our Rove and Cannabiotix cartridges.

Given it’s versatility and airflow, Vessel takes the top spot. Check out our Vessel battery review for more info. You can buy the Vessel here and use the REDDIT30 coupon code for the best price.

Yocan UNI Pro : Great Versatile Battery

Yocan UNI Pro build quality
Here we see that the Yocan UNI Pro has a really good build quality.

The Yocan UNI Pro has a perfect range of voltages and variable side adjustments to pretty much hit any type of vape cartridge. It’s not the absolute best battery for any individual type of cartridge. But as a catch-all-battery that covers everything, this is a really easy one to carry. Its versatility wins the day.

Design is stellar with unique cartridge holster, build quality is good

The Yocan UNI Pro has an excellent design. This thing is made for THC cartridges. The top portion opens up back and forth so you can hold a wide variety of cartridges.

Inadvertently, this top portion that closes around the cartridge also acts as a shock when you drop it and will slightly loosen. Yocan UNI Pro also protects the cartridge in full with a sliding up and down mechanism. You can have 1 gram cartridge go deeper into it or have a half gram pop out a little more.

Battery life is great, charging is okay

The Yocan UNI Pro doesn’t charge that fast, partly due to its high capacity. It’s a 650mAh battery which compared to the Vessel’s 280mAh or CCELL’s Palm at 550mAh, so it’s a good improvement in charging capacity.

Hits are hard on the Yocan UNI Pro

This battery hits pretty hard. It’s not the absolute hardest-hitting battery ever for CCELL cartridges but on some of these off-brand cartridges, we could not get any other batteries to fit on the CCELL batteries.

A perfect example is the Javelina cartridge, they have an off-type of hardware that is not standard. It does not work with the CCELL Palm or Silo. However, if you throw it on a Yocan UNI Pro, the cartridge will go from okay to being great. Something about the Yocan UNI Pro and this cartridge combination hit very well.

For more information about the handy one-size-fits-all battery solution, visit our Yocan UNI Pro review.

CCELL Silo: Consistently strong hits, great form factor, best choice dollar for dollar for many

ccell silo vape battery for cartridges
The Silo is nice and compact.

The CCELL Silo provides solid hits in a nice compact format factor. The hits that come off the Silo are identical to the Palm, the Silo beats the Palm due to a better form factor. This is more a matter of opinion and some may prefer the flat feel of the Palm over the Silo. Priced at $24.99 on most sites, it’s a good deal even at MSRP. It packs 500maH which is an impressive capacity considering the battery size.

Only one voltage setting, but optimized for CCELL carts

The CCELL Silo only has default setting and the voltage cannot be changed. The voltage on the CCELL Silo (and Palm) ranges between 3.2V and 3.6V during use. However, it is optimized to hit CCELL carts and it does so well. Our opinion is that the Silo (and Palm discussed below) are the best lower cost batteries for use with CCELL carts.

Best price on CCELL Silo we could find (non-eBay)

The cheapest we could find it was $$22.49 at Vape Parts Mart using code CLOUD for 10% off. You might find it cheaper on eBay but authenticity is not guaranteed, and CCELL does not honor warranties from eBay products.

It should be noted that the Silo and Palm both don’t work with top airflow cartridges. They also do not have an indicator for the battery getting low. For more information on this vape battery see our CCELL Silo review. The Silo for many is the best dollar for dollar choice.

CCELL Palm – Hits the same as the Silo, just a different form factor

ccell palm
The CCELL Palm is flatter and wider than the Silo.

The CCELL Palm is the same internals as the CCELL Silo. Voltage, battery maH, charging and performance are all the same, so no need to repeat what was stated above with the Silo. The only reason the Palm places lower than the Silo is we found the Silo to be a more compact form factor. Simply put, the Silo fits easier in your pocket than the Palm, other than that they are the same. So there really is no need to go through the above info on the Silo again.

The cheapest CCELL Silo we could find was $22.49 on VPM using code CLOUD for 10% off. There are cheaper ones on eBay, but they are not guaranteed authentic or warrantied.

UWOW Storm: Low cost mini-mod that also works with AiroPro cartridges

uwow storm battery airopro
Pops right in and is more reliable than the AiroPro battery.

This one might be a dying breed since the company seems to have gone out of business. However, plenty of UWOW Storm batteries are for sale. AiroPro carts are great products, but many have complained about battery issues. You can pop in AiroPro carts and get harder hits off this than their original battery, just use it without the magnetic adapter.

Then use the magnetic adapter for other cart types, including top and bottom airflow. The versatility of this battery is what makes it a top choice.

So far the cheapest we have found is $15.99 at  City of Vape. With shipping about $21 for most people in the US.

Exxus Snap, Exxus Snap VV, SteamCloud Mini 2, and similar batteries

exxus snap vv
Exxus Snap VV

The Exxus Snap has a couple versions out there but they are all pretty similar. We put these similar batteries in the same spot because of their similarities. Size on Snap batteries is similar to the Silo but hits strength is still a little weaker. Airflow is good, but not as good as the the other top three.

Exxus Snap battery life: Great due to it’s 650maH battery, more capacity than the top three

The Snap has a great capacity and lasts quite a while. It does not have a battery indicator though, so when you are dead it is dead. But it’s nice to have a compact size battery with a decent amount of life in it.

Hits on the snap are good but not as good as the above three. Check out our SteamCloud Mini 2 review for more info on a clone we reviewed. The cheapest Exxus Snap VV we could find is at Zee Vapor for $27.99.

Mod Batteries: iStick Pico, iStick Mini, and similar batteries

mod batteries for vape cartridges
Picos are more common for eJuice, but a good choice for carts.

We are throwing mods into the 5th slot. Not specifically made for THC and CBD vape cartridges, but fully compatibly, mods have more battery capacity than any of the top four battery choices.

Mods will work with top or bottom airflow cartridges, some might require an adapter

Some mods will not work right with bottom airflow cartridges and may need an adapter. This is because mod batteries often do not have airflow slits at the base where it is screwed in. Add a 510 to eGo thread adapter and on most batteries the problem is fixed. Plenty of mods do have the airflow slits, just make sure to check if you are purchasing at a smoke shop.

Mod batteries are cheap

eBay has a good selection of batteries and you can find the iStick Pico for less than $20. You got to buy an 18650 internal battery to go with that though and make sure you check when getting mod batteries if a separate internal battery is required. The Pico is very popular and we will be discussing that one more below. The point is eCig mod batteries are cheap, have a high capacity, and work with both types of carts.

There are hundreds of batteries for vape cartridges out there, let us know what you found!

New batteries are coming out every week for vape cartridges, eCig, and dab pens. Most of them are interchangeable with cartridges too. If you are looking for a great vape cart to go with your battery, check out our top THC carts for California and Nevada. We covered the ones we have tried so far and left out the ones that did not make the cut, but are there any batteries you think should be on this list?

CCELL : Top Notch Vape Cartridge Hardware Creators

0
ccell

CCELL technology is created by the company SMOORE. Headquartered and manufactured in Shenzen, China, they are changing the vaporizing industry with its revolutionary ceramic core vape cartridges. Their tech is optimized to absorb and vaporize THC and CBD oils more efficiently and effectively. They understand that traditional wick and coil technology is unreliable and inconsistent—giving off inevitable burnt taste in the process.

DabConnection continues to check out new CCELL products because they are dominating the industry. The top 3 of our best cartridges for Nevada list all use their technology as do many on our best THC carts of California list.

Update: CCELL passes heavy metals lab test – clean.

CCELL_LOGO

CCELL’s Mission

CCELL’s strives for extraordinary performance. They want to provide consumers with purer sensation and power potency. They want to create a world-class vaporizing platform for both cartridges and vape pens. At this point they have an undeniable grasp on the market as being the most preferred cartridge type.

How CCELL Creates its Cartridges

Within the cartridge is a patented ceramic module. To create the cartridge, it goes through a process called sintering. Sintering is a unique high-temperature process that fuses all the tiny pieces of the cartridge together. This process enables the cartridge to have small and durable holes that make absorbing, storing and vaporizing thick oils effortless.

CCELL’s Impressive Technology, Manufacturing, and Patents

Smoore supports a substantial research and development center with more than 260 dedicated engineers, with diverse backgrounds. They have strong production capability with eight facilities with the area of 100,000 sqm and 10,000 employees and a team of 200 quality controllers. They also authorized 350+ patents that secure CCELL’s intellectual property in the marketplace.

CCELL Technology Used by Well-Known Oil Extract and Battery Companies

OutCo, OGZ Holdings, Sea Dub Extract, Aces Cartridges, and many others all trust CCELL cartridge technology.  Airo Pro hardware is also made by CCELL yet it’s not denoted on the devices or cartridges. They all give testimonies that state that CCELL provides, “the best vapor production, hands down” and that they “wouldn’t trust its oil in any other cartridge.” CCELL has an excellent reputation within the marketplace. With its superior technology, it is only natural that all these other companies want to work with them.

CCELL Product Offerings

CCELL offers three different types of product categories: cartridges, batteries, and disposables. For their cartridges, they offer three types. TH2, M6T, and the Dart Pod.  For their batteries, they offer the Dart (for use only with Dart pods), Palm, Silo and M3. Lastly, for their disposables, they offer the TH001 and DS0103.

Cartridges made by CCELL

They offer three types of cartridges, all with different features. The TH2, their most premium cartridge, has a glass housing, whereas the M6T is their more economical cartridge that offers plastic housing but has a customizable mouthpiece. Both cartridges both offer optional tank volumes and standard  510 cartridges. The Dart Pod, exclusively designed for the Dart, is a lighter and more efficient solution than traditional 510 cartridges. It has a 10%-20% increase in vapor production compared to normal cartridges. Lastly, it uses a magnetic connection to enable flavor switching instantaneously.

CCELL Batteries

CCELL offers four different types of high-performing batteries. The Dart’s main features are its 550mAh battery, and its magnetic connection with the Dart POD. With the Palm, you get a 550mAh battery with a low-profile form that makes it one of the most inconspicuous and long-lasting batteries for cartridges in the market. Next, the Silo offers a small 500mAh battery that protects the cartridges from any type of mishap. Lastly, the M3 is more conventional than unique with its cylindrical design and 350mAh battery.

Disposables by CCELL

Although they’re called “disposables”, they’re perfect for the casual consumer who doesn’t vape often. Consumers don’t need a battery of their own. But just because they’re disposable, that doesn’t mean they’re lower quality, it still performs just as great as their rechargeable batteries. The TH001, it offers a tank volume of .5ml and a battery capacity of 330mAh. Whereas DS0103 offers .3ml and 190mAh but is significantly smaller.

CCELL continues to dominate the market

Smoore is dominating the market with its technology. With their mission, substantial facilities and teams, and extensive product offerings. It is no surprise that they are dominating the market.

Supreme Vape Cartridge Review: 1 Gram of Liquid Mystery

Supreme vape cartridge review

They don’t have a company website. There’s no mention of Supreme vape on Weedmaps and past lab results show they test dirty for pesticides. Right out of the gate, Supreme vape cartridges have potential issues. But the review isn’t all bad. Despite the fact that the packaging gives no indication of what’s inside, the oil is flavorful. The effects aren’t super strong but neither are they weak. Dig into the following review and find out if Supreme vape is right for you.

Pros:

  • Low Cost
  • Flavorful Concentrate
  • Sturdy Cartridge Design
  • High Number of Puffs

Cons:

  • Dirty Lab Tests – Pesticides
  • No Company Information
  • CCELL clone hardware does not hit consistently

Recommendations: We strongly suggest going with licensed vape companies and purchasing from legit dispensaries, if you are able to. Any Supreme vape cartridge you get could be a fake and chances are it contains pesticides. An authentic CCELL would make this better as well.

Dirty lab tests ruin an otherwise pleasant Supreme vape cartridge experience

Judging from the discussions online, Supreme vape cartridges are available all across the country. It’s not surprising to see this for a number of reasons. The logos are based on the Supreme skate shop and fashion brand, who we doubt gave their approval to make a THC cartridge.

Supreme Vape Cartridge Packaging
The Supreme vape cartridge inside its packaging

The oil tastes good and it has a decent effect. Producers can also charge less than licensed vape companies by avoiding taxation. Finally, unlicensed growers must sell their flower on the black market. A good amount of that crop is likely to have pesticides.

Just like Mario Carts cartridges, it’s a downer that Supreme vape have tested dirty. The cartridges would be a good value purchase if they would test clean. If they could do this without charging the likes of Kurvana ASCND and Select Oil cartridges, they’d be a huge hit. However, who really knows what oil is what. The one we are hitting here might be clean, but we can never know for sure.

Supreme vape cartridge design is durable – The ceramic core sputters

Starting with a round metal mouthpiece and solid glass tube, Supreme vape carts have a sturdy build. The use a vaporizer with the inner cloth wick and ceramic core.

Supreme Vape Cartridge Close UP
Close Up Of The Supreme vape Cartridge

The design on our cartridge, though durable, does show some issues. After about halfway through the oil, the cartridge started to stick. You have to use a strong force of suction to get air flowing.

There’s also some sputtering we noticed as we were in the middle of our vape. Inhale for five or more seconds, however, and you’ll take in a large vapor cloud. Big hits aren’t hard to come by with a Supreme vape cartridge.

Hardware appears to be a CCELL clone

Based on the placement of holes, ceramic core, and mouthpiece it is based on a CCELL atomizer. As we usually find out with clones, they just do not work as good. Take a look at the picture below.

supreme vape cartridge bottom
Close up of the bottom of the Supreme vape cartridge

No lettering or serial on the bottom indicates it is not an authentic CCELL cartridge. Some clones are good, some are bad, and this is one of the not so great ones. Fake CCELLs are a whole other issue. These are just clones, not claiming to be actual CCELLs.

Oil quality is above average, except for those pesticides

Without being extremely sensitive to toxins, you might not notice the trace amounts of pesticides in the oil. Upon inspection, the concentrate moves with the consistency of molasses. The flavor is sweet, enjoyable, and there’s nothing the matter with the cartridge’s effects. It’s a teaser because the cartridge appears fine, but the pesticides are cause for concern.

Supreme vape cartridges list no THC levels – The effects are a bit above average

Supreme Vape Package Info
The Supreme vape packaging provides little information

As you can see in the images and if you watch the video, the package has very little information. It has the CA State warning, the name Supreme, and that’s about it. There is no mention of the strain whether it be Sativa or Indica. Supreme vape also leaves out the percentage of THC and CBD.

Going by feel, the cartridge has a decent effect. It kicks in fast but not with an overwhelming rush. A deep vape is likely to have you coughing but the oil isn’t harsh. To make an educated guess, the THC concentration is probably around 75-80 percent.

Flavor is the best feature

Out of all review categories, the Supreme vape cartridge scores highest for flavor. Whatever mystery fluid this cart contains has a pronounced sweet and piney taste. It lingers on your taste buds for minutes after you take a puff. We can’t say whether or not it’s true to strain, but the aftertaste stays delicious as it slowly dissipates.

Some carts, like those from Cobra Extracts, taste good and bold up front. The aftertaste can have some funk to it in those last lingering moments. Once again, the great taste of this Supreme vape cartridge makes it a disappointment to find pesticides.

The Supreme vape cartridge mouthpiece sticks & the core sputters

Efficiency is another factor we look at when reviewing vape cartridges. In and of itself, efficiency includes several working parts. Examples include the density of the concentrate, type of vaporizer, and design of the airflow system. Supreme vape cartridge design and airflow don’t have the best construction.

We don’t mean to say that the cartridge doesn’t work. The one in our test gets sticky, but you can pull it through with some suction. Once the air gets flowing, the vaporizer does sputter but it also delivers big clouds if you want them. We see a lot of these cheaper cartridge styles. The ceramic core is cheap and begins to disintegrate as the oil draws down.

Oil consistency and cartridge design give a good number of puffs

As the saying goes, the oil in a Supreme vape cartridge really is as thick as honey. Turn your vape pen upside down and watch as gravity slowly does its work. Despite the less than perfect cartridge design, it still gives a good number of puffs.

Supreme Vape Cartridge Packaging
Supreme vape cartridge packaging

Our test cart still has about 1/5th of the fluid left, but it’ll likely come to about 200 puffs overall. These aren’t short three-second vapes either. 200 draws at five to six-second intervals is right in line with brands like Platinum vape or vape Naked’s 1-gram cartridges.

Overall value is poor due to pesticides

Despite some favorable qualities, we can’t give a high rating to a THC cartridge that has potential health risks. Therefore, the overall value of a Supreme vape cartridge is low. We’re seeing these carts go from anywhere around $30 to $45 dollars. If they ever do eliminate those toxins, the value will flip on a coin.

The Supreme vape cartridge finale

Toxins by way of trace pesticides seem to be the norm when it comes to unlicensed vape cartridges. The Supreme vape cartridge is another that lures us in with its low price and quality oil. Except the oil can’t be high quality according to lab tests. We do hope that growers and vape companies come together to provide a safer product. In the meantime, it’s good to know what you’re vaping.

Platinum Vape Cartridge Review: True to Strain Taste, Quality THC Oil

Platinum Vape review

Introducing another of four different cartridges from Mankind dispensary in San Diego, this one by Platinum Vape. Named after the Aurora Borealis, this heavy Northern Lights 1-gram cart packs a potent and delicious punch. Part of the Platinum Vape Mission Statement is to deliver great concentrate at an affordable price. They claim to use only California grown, pesticide-free herb. Dig into the following review and uncover all our findings.

Pros:

  • Great True To Strain Flavor
  • Strong & Potent Effect
  • Sturdy Cartridge Design
  • Fair Price

Cons:

  • Basic Cartridge w/ No Markings
  • Poor Tamper-Proof Device
  • No Laboratory Info On Package

Recommendations: A decent price makes the basic cartridge design understandable, but it should still have a company logo. Showing a lab to go with the batch number and a better tamper-proof device will add to quality assurance.

High-potency & bursting, true to strain flavor stand out in the Platinum Vape cartridge

It’s exciting when you get your hands on a new cartridge and it’s a strain you prize. The Northern Lights strain is one of the most popular out there. Memories of strong Northern Lights Indica nugs fill my younger years and Platinum Vape brings it all back. The most prominent features of the Platinum Vape cartridge are its’ flavor and effect. You’ll savor the taste while getting kicked in the head.

Platinum Vape carts use a sturdy and effective, if not basic design. They choose well with a ceramic core heating system, strong glass and a lot of metal. Drawbacks are exactly the same as the Jetty Extracts cartridge, the package and label need improvement. Overall, we are very pleased with Platinum Vape and their 1-gram cartridge, but it did not make our best cartridges California list.

Platinum Vape Northern Lights Cartridge
The Platinum Vape Northern Lights 1-Gram Cartridge

Room for improvement shows in the labeling and packaging

Coming from a licensed dispensary like Mankind, you hope for the best in quality assurance. It’s obvious, however, that not all brands provide the same amount of info or even a tamper proof device. This is the case with the Jetty Extracts cart and here with Platinum Vape.

The issue is not necessarily that both brands use stickers as a safety seal. Some kinds of stickers work fine if they tear when you peel them. If you can easily remove then stick them back on, they don’t really serve a purpose.

Platinum Vape Label
Platinum Vape Cartridges Provide Lots Of Info, But No Lab Analysis

Another cause for possible doubt is the lack of a stated laboratory. Brands like Sunday Goods, Honey Vape, and others provide this info on the package. If the package doesn’t state it you might wonder if they even test. We do have an email out to Platinum Vape to see if they use a lab and will update the post once we hear back.

A Sweet Flavor Of Earth & Pine Taste

When buds incite your taste buds, you know you have a keeper. Such is the case with the flavor profile of Platinum Vape Northern Lights oil. We consider the oil to be true to strain if it delivers the same flavors as the flower. Platinum Vape excels here, at least with the Northern Lights. A strong and earthy pine wood flavor begin the experience, but a sweet aftertaste follows. Each vape sits enjoyably on the palate as you wait for the effects to set in.

3-5 second vapes will have your lungs begging to exhale

Whether it’s the high amount of THC or a characteristic of the concentrate, one thing is for sure. This cartridge of Northern Lights will bust your lungs if you go too long. Platinum Vape scores well with this strain because it gives you options. Those who like a large vape won’t have trouble finding. People who prefer a small vape can still do that and enjoy a very powerful effect.

Platinum Vape carts are durable but very basic in design

Platinum Vape Cartridge Design
Platinum Vape Carts Have A Simple Design, But Not An Identifying Logo

The only thing we can say that should be better about the design is the lack of a company logo. Some identifying marking on the glass or another prominent area would dissuade rip-offs. As it is, the carts are indistinguishable from other similar 1-gram cartridges.

A description of the design begins with metal 510 threads at the base to fit your standard battery. Next is a metal ring, the outside housing of the C-cell heating element. Rising up from the housing is a sturdy outer glass tube and inner metal drawtube. The drawtube includes the ceramic core at the base and leaves plenty of room for the oil to absorb.

From the housing of the core follows the more slender metal drawtube which extends up to the mouthpiece. It’s a circular metal mouthpiece with the same silver color as the rest of the cartridge. An O-Ring connects the top of the drawtube to the mouthpiece which does unscrew, making the cart refillable.

Northern Lights Indica oil by Platinum Vape has 89% THC & less than 0.2% CBD

You can almost miss that less than symbol in front of the CBD percentage, but the point is probably mute. Most cartridge connoisseurs will take a lot more notice of the 89% THC level. Platinum Vape Northern Lights concentrate comes on strong and fast, even more so with a bigger vape. It’ll make you cough if you draw long enough, and you will get off. Expect a deep relaxing high to settle in after the initial haze wears off.

Pricing is fair for a quality 1-gram cartridge

Platinum Vape Company Logo
The Platinum Vape Logo And Mankind Price Tag

The Platinum Vape cart on review comes from Mankind, one of the few licensed shops in San Diego. Licensed dispensaries guarantee pure cannabis products but they also charge taxes. The 1-gram Platinum Vape Northern Lights cart retails for $60.00 before taxes at Mankind, though they do offer discounts.

That’s $30.00 per .5-gram and the same price as a Heavy Hitters cartridge at nearby MedMen San Diego. Being perfectly honest, the Platinum Vape NL is a much better deal. After taxes, you spend over sixty or we’d give it higher marks.

Platinum Vape carts use an efficient C-cell heating & draw system

You can tell a shoddy C-cell when it sputters as you draw the cartridge, not allowing a very even vape. The C-cells in this Platinum Vape cart works fluidly all the way down to the last fingernail of oil. You don’t have to suck your ears in trying to get a medium size hit.

The oil lasts and gives a good number of puffs

It could be poor absorption or maybe oil quality, but some carts vape up like wildfire. The oil is gone before you know it. Platinum Vape scores well in regard to the number of puffs, taking into account the larger 1-gram cartridge. To give off the size clouds it does after a 5-second vape, the Northern Lights cart keeps puffing for a while.

Last lights of the Platinum Vape cart review

Platinum Vape has the kind of value that makes it worth spending $60.00 on. It’s alright that the cartridges aren’t fancy but a logo should be added. Platinum Vape has an opportunity to improve the quality assurance in their labeling and packaging. All in all the fine oil quality, high-potency, and great flavor leave a lasting impression.

Honey Vape Cartridge Review: A Decent Cartridge, but the Oil Crystallized

Honey Vape Cartridge review
The Honey Vape Green Crack .5g Cartridge, Packaging, & Company Info

Presenting our first foray into a Honey Vape cartridge and it’s the Green Crack as the featured product. After vaping up a complete .5-gram cartridge, there’s only one word that comes to mind: Decent! At least if decent qualifies as being a little better than mediocre. There’s a lot to report about the Green Crack as well as the build of the Honey Vape cartridge in general. Let’s dig right in!

Honey Vape Green Crack Packaging
The Green Crack Cartridge In Packaging By Honey Vape

Pros:

  • Lab Tested / Pure Concentrate
  • Excellent Taste / True To Strain
  • Vibrant, Uplifting Effect

Cons:

  • Hardened / Crystallized Concentrate
  • Sub-Average Efficiency
  • Hi Price Tag
  • Not Very Strong

Recommendations: Make stronger oil and put it in a more efficient cartridge.

Looking for something better? Go straight to our picks for the best cartridges in California.

The Honey Vape cartridge scores slightly better than average, at least with the Green Crack strain

Honey Vape Oil Crystallization
Notice The Crystallization Of The Oil In The Honey Vape Cart

If not for the savory taste and nice uplifting effect of the concentrate, I would score the Honey Vape cartridge very low. Why is that, you ask? Mainly because of the cartridge design itself. When you pay $40.00 plus taxes for a half gram cartridge, it should have an efficient design.

The cartridge allows big puffs but only with really long extended inhales. Even when taking semi-long puffs, the Honey Vape cartridge uses oil fast. The fact that the one in my trial had become solidified wasn’t too big a deal besides the unclaimed residue. It liquefied with the warmth of the battery and my hand.

Fortunately, the concentrate is pure as per the labeled lab test results. Honey Vape Green Crack is also surprisingly potent for only a 70% THC composition. Flavor of the Green Crack concentrate is another high note in the review. That sweet yet spicy taste, along with sour citrus, comes through boldly on the palate.

See our video review below, and keep reading on for the more in depth review:

The Honey Vape Green Crack cartridge flavor is right in tune with the strain

So many of the cartridges I vape fail in this area. It’s as if something happens during the distillation process that cuts out certain flavor profiles. Most often I find that one flavor stands out much too prominently against the others.

With the Honey Vape Green Crack cartridge, this isn’t the case at all. Upon exhalation of the vapor, the Green Crack flavor profile comes through with great balance. You’ll taste a mix of spicy sweet citrus that lingers on the tongue.

Honey Vape Green Crack is strong for only having 70% THC

Is it Heavy Hitters or Brass Knuckles strong? Not by a long shot. Looking at the tag on the Honey Vape Green Crack cartridge, it doesn’t tell you the THC percentage. It does, however, provide the amount of THC in milligrams as well as the CBD. Do the division and 350mg into 500mg is 70%. A CBD content of 6.79mg comes out to 1.36%.

Despite having a significantly lower percentage of THC than many brand name cartridges, Honey Vape Green Crack delivers a good uplifting punch. This is actually a point that surprises me, and quite positively so. If you need some energy during the course of your day, this cart will do the trick.

Honey Vape cartridges are durable but don’t use an efficient design

Honey Vape Cartridge Instructions
Honey Vape Carts Come With Instructions For Use

Read more about the design in the cartridge breakdown section below. The Honey Vape .5-gram cartridge starts at the top with a metal reed style mouthpiece and sturdy glass tube. It ends with a steel base and 510 threading for your standard size battery.

Honey Vape carts, or at least this .5-gram one, are very similar in design we found on our THClear cart review. You can see the design in the breakdown video as well, but the result is less than optimal. I prefer carts that use a small ceramic coil for the heating element.

It seems that the carts using the coils vape the oil faster than ones with the cloth absorption design. The thing is, you can take a small hit on the coil and still get a nice cloud. The ones with the cloth near the element don’t hit as well and they still vape up just as fast.

A THC level of 350 mg and 6.79 mg of CBD on the Green Crack cartridge. Plus a test & batch number.

Honey Vape Cartridge Information
A Sticker On The Packaging Shows The Levels Of THC, CBD, Batch Number, & Test Lab

You can see in the image how Honey Vape provides the info on a sticker placed on the package. It has the levels of THC and CBD as well as the batch number. Also visible is the lab Honey Vapes uses, pH Solutions. One of the benefits of going to a legitimate California dispensary like MedMen is pure lab-tested concentrate.

For a .5-gram cartridge, Honey Vapes costs too much at $40.00

One of the biggest knocks off the overall value of a Honey Vape cartridge is the price. Realizing there are likely additional costs due to lab testing and growing pesticide-free crops, the carts are still expensive. $30.00 would be more enticing, or at least a better cartridge design.

Honey Vape cartridge breakdown & disassembly

Honey Vape Cartridge Breakdown
The Glass Breaks Trying To Remove It. Notice The Unraveled Cloth From Inside The Element Housing

After tearing apart a few different cartridges, you get a feel for why they vape the way they do. For instance, the THClear has the same kind of design and it sputters when you hit it. This lack of a fluid draw doesn’t occur with the Honey Vape cart, but the puff size is the same.

You have a more durable metal mouthpiece and a glass tube is better than plastic. This beats the THClear. Inside the Honey Vape cart, the metal drawtube has a more efficient base. It leaves room for the oil to seep through the holes. At the very bottom, it has the 510 threads that fit your standard battery.

Here is a full breakdown of the cartridge:

Inside the housing of the heating element provided some inefficiency but it was likely due to the battery used. I much prefer a rod and coil to this type of design which may be due to the battery used. I’ll be trying this type of cartridge again with a new battery soon.

Efficiency is a concern with Honey Vape carts

I seem to find poor efficiency with most cartridges that use the same design. For whatever reason, the system with a cloth wrap that soaks up the oil before heating doesn’t perform well. It takes a lot of effort to puff a big cloud of vapor, and even then it’s nothing like vaping a coil.

To be fair, some people prefer to keep their hits on the lighter side. Some of the cheaper rod and coils can leave a bad aftertaste, especially near the end of the cartridge. A good ceramic rod and titanium coil, however, gives you the option of big or small vapes. The Honey Vape cart doesn’t allow for this and the oil still disappears quite fast.

Large vape clouds aren’t easy to achieve

If you give the Honey Vape cartridge a strong 5-second draw, it produces a light cloud of vapor. Part of this could be the crystallization of the oil in my cartridge in particular. Once the cartridge heats up from a couple hits or a very long one, it’ll give off a big cloud. It’ll also seem like a quarter of your oil goes down with it.

Last drops on the Honey Vape cartridge

Overall, the Honey Vape Green Crack cartridge just falls short of our recommendation. At a cheaper price, it would make the cut. Either that or a better cartridge design and consistency of oil. I’d much rather go with a full gram of Heavy Hitters or Brass Knuckles. They deliver such a better vaping experience and don’t cost that much more for double the amount of concentrate. More information can be found on HoneyVape here.

Vape Cartridge

0
vape_pen_breakdown

A vape cartridges is the portion of a vape pen which contains the liquid and a mouthpiece for inhaling. It is meant to fasten onto a vaping battery at the bottom. Vape cartridges are a popular way to consume cannabis products. Cannabis vapes have grown in popularity since their introduction in about 2015. They would have been even more popular right now if it hadn’t been for the black market vaping lung epidemic, but even than have held steady demand after falling from their peak.

cannabis_vaping_vs_flower_trend

What goes in a vape cartridge?

In cannabis products, vapes come in various forms:

  • distillate– the majority of vape cartridges, AKA “oil” or “710”
  • live resin – a more pure form of cannabis extract, nearly the same quality you would get from dabbing
  • THC – carts may be concentrated extracts high in THC
  • CBD – vapes also come in CBD form made from hemp distillate
  • Delta 8 – a new kind which uses a companion cannabinoid to THC.

All cannabis products are derived from various extracts from the cannabis plant. There are several differences between live resin and distillate, all in the method of extraction. Because live resin is richer in terpenes and other natural cannabinoids, it has more of the full effect from the flower and contributes to the entourage effect.

What impurities can infiltrate a vape cartridge?

Beginning in about the summer of 2019, news broke out of a lung illness epidemic among vape users, which was traced back to black market vape cartridges. The cartridges in question were found to be cut with various third-party filler ingredients, some of which contained vitamin E acetate. There is a huge difference between something that’s safe to eat and something that’s safe to inhale the vapor from into your lungs.

The vaping lung illness crisis soon got swept from the news by the even bigger epidemic in 2020 which we now know as COVID-19. But the vaping lung injury epidemic is still ongoing. Unethical black market cartridge vendors, or plugs, may put any contents into a vape cartridge and unsuspecting buyers won’t know until they inhale it. Symptoms of lung injury from vaping continue to be reported.

Red Dragon Extracts pesticides test result

In addition, a prefilled vape cartridge may contain other contaminants such as:

  • residual solvents – solvents are used to extract compounds from flower and are then not properly flushed out
  • heavy metals – these may be oil contaminants or come from the cartridge itself
  • pesticides – an issue in any cultivated plant, but concentrated into oil form and vaped, they can reach critical levels
  • formaldehyde – industrial contaminant

Most of the contaminated vapes found are produced by black market vendors, but even professional licensed vape cartridge production labs can make mistakes too.

What is the difference between “real” and “fake” vape carts?

A “real” cartridge is an actual brand owned by a company and sold only at licensed dispensaries.

A “fake” cartridge is a made-up brand produced by black market product counterfeiters in China. The cartridges and packaging are sold empty on Internet retail websites such as Alibaba, DHGate, and many others. Black market plug buy these empty carts and fill them at home from a basement or garage operation, sometimes called “honey oil labs.” There are several “brands” which consistently pop up in this culture.

A “fake” may also be a counterfeit of a real cartridge brand. Most popular licensed brands have a fake counterpart produced on the same black market channels.

TKO fake

There is also an in-between “gray market.” These are single-source vape cartridge markets who are close to “legit,” but merely don’t have the proper licensing. These brands are found on the “underground sesh” circuit or in markets deliberately kept legally gray such as Washington, D.C.

In the name of safety, you should only buy prefilled vape carts from a licensed dispensary. If you do not have access, such as living in a state where cannabis is still illegal, your next safest bet is to only consume flower, since the plant itself does not have nearly the hazards of contamination. Failing that, street vendors at underground seshes at least have a community around them and a reputation to uphold, so they’re less risky. Buying vape cartridges from an anonymous street plug is almost suicidal.

CCELL Silo Review: Small Form Factor Battery for Vape Cartridges

ccell silo

The Silo is a 500mah battery by CCELL made for use with vape cartridges. We found it delivers great performance on 510 threaded cartridges during our CCELL Silo review, particularly on CCELL branded carts. The Silo is a small form factor battery and is not made for use with large top airflow cartridges.

See our CCELL silo review in video format below. Continue reading to see our more in depth review.

Silo battery all around does a great job

So far CCELL has the most consistent quality oil pen products. The cartridges have lower fail rates than others and here at DabConnection we have gone through a lot of carts. Airflow is always on point. Before the Silo I was using a few different batteries but most often the CCELL Palm for which we previously did a review. The Silo also made our list of the best cartridge batteries.

ccell silo battery
Simple matte black finish on this CCELL Silo battery

Design of the CCELL Silo battery

The Silo battery design is simple: a small rectangular shape that is rounded for a smoother feel. It’s height is slightly taller than a CCELL cartridge.

Visibility on the side is a plus. You can see your THC cartridge’s oil level. Check out the picture below for an example.

ccell silo side view
The side viewing area comes in handy.

I liked this feature on the Palm and it continues on the CCELL Silo. CCELL cartridges fit perfectly snug as do clones. It does not work with some cartridge types like that we used on our Cannabioitx vape review.

The Silo vape battery has excellent build quality

CCELL did not make the Silo to be flashy. It is discreet and has a low key finish, but you can feel the high quality build when you hold it.

CCELL Palm vs CCELL Silo

The Silo is almost similar to the Palm when it comes to performance. The difference is that the Silo has a 500mah battery while the Palm has a 550mah battery. Also, it is in a different form factor delivering power over time. Having used both extensively, I would pick the Silo over the Palm since it feels just a little bit better in your pocket and I like the grip.

ccell palm vs silo
I would take the Silo over the Palm, but it’s just a preference. Performance is identical.

The Palm is still an excellent battery and I would choose it over most others for hitting CCELL carts which are the most commonly used by major THC oil brands like Select Oil.

CCELL Silo vs PCKT ONE

The CCELL Silo outperforms the PCKT ONE on CCELL Cartridges, as would be expected. The PCKT ONE does work  better with some carts that need a button push to work properly.

ccell silo vs pckt one
The Silo is overall cheaper and batter, but PCKT One works on some carts that won’t work on the Silo.

Since more high end oil brands are using CCELL carts, I would have to take the Silo over the PCKT ONE if I was only choosing one. It is best to have both battery types plus a mod on the side. Overall though, the Silo wins here due to a much lower price and CCELL carts being the most used.

Mod Battery vs CCELL Silo

Mod batteries are a favorite among many due to the higher range of voltages. With prefilled THC cartridges, most do not require the power of a mod, but a mod can be set to properly hit Cannabiotix and Rove cartridges. The CCELL Silo will not work with some cartridge types, but it does work on CCELL cartridges more effectively than a box mod. The Silo battery wins on discretion too. Overall if I had to carry one battery I would choose the Silo. A mod is a great backup when you are not sure what settings will work for a cartridge, but given that CCELL is so common I will be using the Silo more often.

CCELL Silo voltage is between 3.2V and 3.6V. It ranges as it is being used but it is optimized for use with CCELL carts.

Battery Life and Charging were both good on the CCELL Silo battery

ccell silo
No screw ins, just magnet in.

Charging is simple via micro-USB and seemed to be about the same time to charge as the palm. Battery Life was excellent. One charge seemed to last longer than a half gramcartridge. Enough to the point you are not worrying about the battery dying.

Hit strength is top notch on CCELL carts

The Silo battery hits excellent on CCELL carts specifically, giving you a better rip than a random battery that is still compatible. On on-CCELL carts it still performs well, but keep in mind it might not be compatible with some cartridges that require a mod battery or top airflow.

At $24.95 the CCELL Silo battery is a great value, even better at $18.99

The Silo is priced well. Some small batteries are priced much higher and deliver less. CCELL’s Silo is cheaper than most half gram THC cartridges. Blank CCELL cartridges go for under $5. So for less than $30 you have a complete oil pen setup. The ALD vFire which is made by the same manufacturers of Stiiizy Pen hardware is cheaper at $22.95 with a pod, but our other reviewer used it in the Plug and Play vape and although he said it was excellent, he said CCELL carts on CCELL battery hit the hardest after trying both.

The cheapest CCELL Silo is at DC Alchemy for $18.99 with coupon code DABCONNECSILO. See our cheapest ccell post that is continuously updated for the lowest prices. Our code is not an affiliate code. They just gave us that so we can give you the lowest price on the internet. Thanks DC Alchemy!

Wrapping up our CCELL Silo review…

The Silo battery turned out to be my current daily driver for cartridges. Since many of the brands use CCELL already it is a great addition to the collection. I like the form factor better than the Palm and unless I have an odd top airflow cartridge, prefer it over the PCKT One of a mod battery.  You can find more information on the Silo here.

8 Fold Cartridge Review: The Best CO2 THC Vape Cartridge in Nevada

8 fold cartridge review

8 Fold is a cannabis cultivator located in the State of Nevada. The 8 Fold cartridge is the  best CO2 oil vape cart we have tried. Flavor, strength, oil quality, and a new gen CCELL atomizer make this our top CO2 vape cartridge pick for Nevada.

Pros:

  • Overall best CO2 oil THC cartridge
  • Great taste for CO2 oil
  • Strong and long lasting effects
  • Uses newest generation CCELL cartridge

Cons:

  • Ceramic top CCELL cart would be preferred.

Recommendations:

Would like to see 8 Fold come out with a distillate or BHO cartridge. If their CO2 oil is this good they can probably make another top notch vape cart with a different type of oil.

8 Fold made a special mention on our post where we picked the best cartridges in Nevada due to it’s high strength.

Licensing Information: Lic #727929514787800009507

The 8 Fold vape cartridge offers and all around great experience

8 Fold THC cartridges are made with CO2 oil rather than distillate, which most of us here at DabConnection prefer. One huge difference between 8 Fold and other CO2 cartridges though is the taste. CO2 THC cartridges often to not taste so great, like the cartridges by Kynd for example. The only other decent tasting CO2 vape cart I have tried is from W Vapes, but 8 Fold’s not only tastes better, it uses the new gen CCELL cartridge which makes a huge difference over the old CCELL cart W Vapes uses. The strain tested in this review is Golden Goat, a Sativa dominant hybrid.

8 fold cartridge
Creative packaging for 8 Fold’s THC cartridges

Design and Build Quality are top notch for 8 Fold

8 Fold cartridges use the current generation CCELLs. At the time of this article,  these CCELLs are the most reliable and best hitting vape cartridges out there and work best with CCELL batteries like the Palm. The only thing I would like to see changed hardware wise is I do prefer the ceramic tip CCELLs to the plastic ones. The reasons? The ceramic tip ones have a glass body I feel more comfortable heating up and they also have a screw on instead of pressed on top. Easier to refill and use with other oils when your cart is empty. Even plastic CCELLs are better than systems like Stiiizy Pen and miles ahead of a wicked system like we found in our G Pen Gio review.

8 Fold cartridge has excellent quality CO2 oil, some of the best I have tried

The only other CO2 oil so far that has been on par with 8 Fold is that out of the W Vapes syringe. 8 Fold’s CO2 extract is consistent all around. No clouding or changing of the consistency at all throughout the cartridge.

On the top end of strength for any THC cartridge

8 Fold’s cartridge is on par for strength with other top Nevada brands. I would put it’s strength on par with Select Oil which has kind of “set the standard” in consistently strong products. Comparing to another Nevada only brand, it was stronger than the Game Time THC cartridge. Oil strength was on par, but the better hardware used on the 8 Fold vape cart puts it ahead.

8 fold cartridge test results
Batch testing gives reliable results.

THe 8 Fold cart is further proof that THC percentage is not everything. Golden Goat comes in with a THC strength at 74.6%, but is stronger than many other cartridges in the 80s.

Taste was surprisingly good on the 8 Fold vape cart

CO2 oil is not known for its great taste. The 8 Fold cartridge tastes surprisingly good and is one of the reasons we are naming it the best CO2 oil THC cartridge in Nevada. I have never tasted a CO2 oil cartridge that tasted this good. Only thing that came close was the W Vapes oil as mentioned above, but that came in a syringe and I filled that into a CCELL cart.

Efficiency is as good as it gets with new gen CCELL

Most cartridges have near perfected efficiency at this point. The new generation CCELL cart used by 8 Fold is no exception. A completely efficient system. A factor of efficiency not often mentioned is the battery. Using a proper battery for the THC cartridge makes a big difference. I found the CCELL Palm worked best when paired with this cartridge, probably because their testing and research is done with these batteries. Same thing is probably true with the Omicron v5 and using a W9Tech battery.

Number of Puffs was excellent

The CO2 oil on the 8 Fold THC cartridge is pretty thick so it vapes nice and slow. I felt like I got more hits out of it than I do out of the distillate cartridges I am hitting most of the time.

Value was great as it lasted long

8 Fold’s cartridge lasted a long time. I paid a little more than I normally do by getting it at Deep Roots Mesquite. The same cartridge in other regions would be lower priced, especially in Las Vegas. I recommend checking Essence Tropicana and NuWu Dispensary for the best prices. They seem to consistently have the best prices in Las Vegas on non-house brand products. The cartridge in Mesquite was the same price as others, not more or less, so comparatively it provided excellent value considering it lasted quite a while.

cobra extracts vs 8 fold
On the left is a Cobra Extracts cartridge, on the right is 8 Fold. Note the lighter color on the 8 Fold.

Concluding our 8 Fold cartridge review..

Overall, the 8 Fold THC cartridge is excellent. Most CO2 carts I do not even like. This one I would put above many distillate cartridges. Taste is as good as it has ever been for CO2 oil carts. Price was on par with other carts but it delivers a superior experience. 8 Fold used the new generation CCELL cartridge, which currently is the best hardware for THC oil out there. In the future I would love to see a distillate and/or BHO oil cartridge from 8 Fold. You can find more information on 8 Fold here.

Mario Carts Vape Cartridge Review : Tasty, But Are They Legit?

Mario Carts Cartridges
The Mario Carts Cartridge Review

What can we say after testing both the Mario Carts Strawberry Pie and Ghost OG cartridges? We find they have several promising qualities, such as tasty flavors and high-quality cartridges. There are, however, concerns on the less promising side as well. Namely, we highly doubt the legitimacy of Mario Carts as a company. What does this mean?

We can’t be sure that the product is pure. It seems after much research, Mario Carts are more just hardware and technically they are fake cartridges .Consume our Mario Carts cartridge review in its entirety and discover for yourself all that we know. These vape carts are also referred to as Mario Carts THC cartridges, as they are primarily THC rather than CBD.

Pros:

  • Good oil strength
  • Decent cartridge build quality
  • Cool packaging

Cons:

  • No information available on the company
  • Many fakes are out there
  • No way to verify fake or real carts
  • Recent lab test shows a fail for pesticides and weaker than advertised THC strength

Recommendations: Provide company information with the cartridge with lab test results. Make sure it passes lab tests.

UPDATE 9/11/2019: DISCLAIMER: In light of more recent news, it has become apparent that black market cartridges, counterfeit cartridges, and fake brands of cartridges have become more widespread than we had ever realized. We urge readers to apply their own discretion, and caution that at no point should readers assume that a review of a cartridge on our site is a guarantee of its safety. We advise readers to always verify their cartridges as coming from a legitimate source.

Below is a video review. Read further to see the in-depth review of the Mario Carts THC vape cartridges.

Mario Carts Strawberry Pie
The Mario Carts Strawberry Pie Cartridge

The Mario Carts Strawberry Pie Cartridge has a strong fruity flavor but comes out harsh. It does give a nice euphoria.

There’s no telling whether it is the strain that is harsh or the additive that gives the strawberry flavor. Is it super harsh? No, but it can force an extra few coughs. The taste of the strawberry additive is immediately and strongly apparent. Finally, the Mario Carts Strawberry Pie cartridge provides an uplifting euphoria. Unfortunately, the Strawberry Pie also tested dirty for pesticides. With so many fakes out there, it is hard to tell if that is a real one or not that was tested. The one in the test is not the same one used in this review. See our full oil pen pesticides page for a full list of tests from various manufacturers.

Mario Carts Ghost OG settles the brain and relaxes the body

Cannabis experts agree that Ghost OG has a strong yet well-balanced mix between body and mind. We can report that the Mario Carts Ghost OG cartridge follows this description to a tee. The effects set in immediately and are strong, but not overpowering. Mario Carts Ghost OG scores well for achieving what the strain is supposed to do.

Mario Carts use durable cartridges

Mario Carts Cartridge Breakdown
You can clearly see the tube is glass

Despite the artfully designed zip-lock bag packaging, Mario Carts cartridges are strong. They come with the standard 510 threads that fit most batteries. At the top is a basic but smooth hitting metal mouthpiece. You can also see in the pics and video that the mouthpiece attachment unscrews. Make a couple turns and it comes right off, allowing for reuse of the cartridge.

The tube is thick glass. You can verify this by observing that breaking it was the only way to deconstruct the cartridge. Mario Carts cartridge stems are strong metal with dual absorption pores at the base. You’ll not need to worry about banging these around. They can easily stand the abuse in your pocket.

Pull off the metal stem and it reveals the heating source of the cartridges. Taking a close look, you can see the small rod and coil. The element that turns the concentrate into vapor. Glue inside cartridges is always a concern but Mario Carts don’t use any. Each piece of the cartridge fits together tightly to create the seal without the use of a binding agent.

Mario Carts claims their cartridges contain between 83 – 87 percent THC, test shows 69.35%

Though they claim the product is lab-tested, they fail to provide any results. On the back of the package, Mario Carts states a THC composition between 83-87 percent. A recent test shows THC coming in at 69.35%. The problem with testing Mario Carts is it’s hard to tell real from fake and their is no company information out there to verify. Companies that offer lab tested products are able to tell you the exact level of THC in the concentrate. That being said, the stated THC levels are believable going by the effect of the concentrates.

In contrast, companies such as Brass Knuckles provide exact results after the testing of their products. It may be true that Brass Knuckles is experiencing some controversy around this subject. Still, it’s comforting to see that they are taking action and so adding to their legitimacy, especially with all the fake cartridges out there.

No way to compare the flavor to strain accuracy with the Strawberry Pie

Mario Carts makes no mention of what Sativa strain they use in the Strawberry Pie cartridge. It’s not anywhere on the packaging. There’s no mention of it on their Instagram page and Mario Carts doesn’t have a website.

To be perfectly honest, the flavor does match the name. Mario Carts does name specific strains in several of their other cartridges, like their Ghost OG. They probably felt that the addition of the strawberry flavor would cancel any true strain taste. It certainly is strong.

Mario Carts Ghost OG
The Mario Carts Ghost OG Cartridge

The Mario Carts Ghost OG lacks the strong citrus taste of the true strain

This isn’t to say that the citrus taste disappears completely. It’s just not as prominent as one would hope who wants the true strain flavor. For us, this wasn’t too big a deal. The Mario Carts Ghost OG still packs a delightful taste and aroma. It seems the minimal citrus flavor enhances the taste of pine and earth and leaves an enjoyable aftertaste regardless of accuracy.

Mario Carts offers highly competitive pricing, but does that mean value?

We were able to get our hands on the Mario Carts cartridges for $40. That’s for a 1 gram unit. There are reports out there of people finding them for less. Anything less than $40 on these cartridges and you are getting a great deal.

Without a concern about overpricing, the issue comes down to this. Does a lower price product mean it has high value even without test results? What about the fact that there is no company to contact in the case of any problems? It’s not likely you’ll find anyone to hold responsible if the concentrates do contain pesticides.

There is also no guarantee you are vaping what the label says or the THC levels. Because of all this, it is very difficult to speak to the true value of Mario Carts cartridges. We simply don’t have enough details to judge without testing several different batches at our own expense. It would definitely be interesting to see the results of any independent testing.

Features in Mario Carts cartridge design

Mario Carts Cartridge Deconstruction
Complete Deconstruction Of A Mario Carts Cartridge

As far as design goes, Mario Carts cartridges are basic but there isn’t anything to complain about. For materials: there is the metal mouthpiece, glass tube, inner metal receiver, and metal base. The metal base contains the rubber housing that holds the coil. On the bottom of the base is the 510 threading that screws right into your choice of battery. The fact that all pieces (except perhaps where the glass tube meets the base) fit together without glue is a big bonus.

Mario Carts cartridges can give a large vape cloud

This may depend on the exact flavor of the cartridge that you have. In trying both the Strawberry Pie and Ghost OG, we are able to get large hits. It does require an extended intake (not as much on the Strawberry Pie) to produce a large cloud.

The cartridges don’t have an exact THC percentage or any lab test results

Mario Carts THC Percentages
The Packaging States The Product Is Lab-Tested But Gives A Range Of Results

We are skeptical that Mario Carts is a legitimate company. The research that is available online from Reddit and other sources seem to feel the same way. First of all, it doesn’t add up that Nintendo would allow another company to use their idea. Much less a company that distributes cannabis concentrates.

Second, Mario Carts doesn’t provide a website. They have an Instagram page which appears to have copies. What does this suggest? There may very well be fake Mario Carts cartridges on the street. Hmm, a rip off of a company that isn’t legit anyway? At least you can tell if the cartridge design doesn’t match up with our review. As for the concentrate, it would be hard to tell a difference with the cheap packaging and lack of lab results.

Last words on the Mario Carts vape cartridges

We didn’t find many cons in our testing of the cartridge or the two different kinds of concentrate. The price, product, and overall experience reach well above mediocre marks. The problem is that we really can’t trust Mario Carts without lab results. Who really knows what you are putting in your body?

From our experience, we have to say we like the Mario Carts cartridge. Still, our final analysis must recommend against them. Without the guarantee of a legitimate company, customers will never have a chance at restitution if they do get sick from pesticides. It’s also too easy to fake the product if a company isn’t legit. They really don’t have the means to fight any fraud. With so many lab-tested products on the market today, it’s worth the extra few dollars to stay safe.

Brass Knuckles Owner: Who Really Owns The Vape Cartridge Company?

5
brass knuckles owners

Through several hours of research, we have come to the conclusion that the main owners of Brass Knuckles are Jeannie Herer (aka Regina Herer) and Alvin Joiner (aka Xzibit). We found this information by inspecting a Proposition 65 warning letter that was addressed to Jeannie Herer.

Since Jeannie Herer is not a professional registered agent, it’s safe to assume she is one of the owners, if not the primary owner.

Who is Jeannie Herer, owner of the Brass Knuckles vape cartridge company?

brass knuckles owner
Is she the real owner of Brass Knuckles?

She is the wife of the late Jack Herer, who passed away in 2010. It makes sense she would be still be in the cannabis industry. We hoped it would just be with a better quality product. Not a brand that has consistently failed vape pen pesticides and solvents tests.

Xzibit is a part owner of Brass Knuckles too

Alvin Joiner has been publicly stated as an owner of Brass Knuckles. It is interesting that in all the information we did find, we could not find any official corporate or LLC name for Brass Knuckles. We will officially order the class action documents soon and see the entity listed there.

Based on the Prop 65 letter, this company might be in fact a sole proprietorship. If that is the case, then technically there is only one owner and any other owner does not have official ownership of Brass Knuckles.

Dr. Dre is an alleged secret part owner

Dr. Dre is listed as a defendant and part owner of Brass Knuckles alleges another lawsuit filed claiming the Plaintiffs were screwed out of their investment. We do not have any solid evidence on Dr. Dre’s ownership.

In conclusion, Brass Knuckles has that has been poisoning many of us for a while. See our breakdown of the Brass Knuckles lawsuit and our Brass Knuckles vape review for more information.

Cannabiotix Vape Cartridge Review: Decent, But Expected A Lot More

cannabiotix vape review
Cannabiotix vape carts hace nice packaging, but not enough data.

Cannabiotix is cultivator in California and Nevada. Their buds are some of the best in the world. Their cartridge turned out to be decent, but not at the same level as their weed. In this Cannabiotix vape cartridge review we tested out two of their vape carts and was left wanting a little more.

Update 7/14/2020: Cannabiotix has upgraded their hardware to CCELL. Should be better than what we had in this review.

Cannabiotix vape cartridges are good, just not best of best

Overall Cannabiotix makes a good cartridge. The keyword is good. From Cannabiotix I really expected best of best. I was expecting to blow away vape carts from Select Oil, Kabunky, and Stiiizy out of the water. One of the strains I tried was Banana Treez and I forgot the other one’s name. See below for the video that summarizes this Cannabiotix vape review.

Wish it was like their flower

Right now their flower is world class, maybe the best in the world. I have never tried a Cannabiotix flower that was not excellent. Their vape cartridges are just not that same level. They are by no means bad or awful, they just are not as great as the flower.

Design and Build Quality: Should have used CCELL

Cannabiotix vape cartridges use a double coil cartridge system that appears to be the same one Rove cartridges use. The hits are pretty clean off this thing and it does taste very good. However, the hits are not super strong.

cannabiotix vape
Love the look of the cartridges. Looks very sturdy, but this is the first one I have ever dropped and broken.

It should say on the packaging the battery needed

The first mistake here is there is nothing on the box to indicate it will not work with a regular vape battery. I tried firing up a cartridge with my CCELL Palm and it did not work. I switched over to a mod and upped the wattage to 5.5 and it worked much better. This cartridge sucks with non-mod batteries and they should warn people of that.

Packaging should state wattage, volts, something

Another problem is: how far can these carts go on wattage? There is nothing to indicate on the box what these cartridge should be run out. I tried their website, it did not work at all. I hit up Cannabiotix on Instagram and they never replied. Not sure that they even know what the right settings are. Without the right settings, we can’t get the max out of the cartridge and risk blowing the atomizer.

Cannabiotix vape system uses a coiled, wicked atomizer

Below is a breakdown of the atomizer. You can see it is using a wicked and coil system. What I really liked here is it did actually have double coils as promised, but the coiles are not set in the same way as a wax pen like the Kind Pen Dream. Instead, it is one after another in a straight line. This does ensure extra efficiency was what is not absorbed by the first coil is absorbed by the second.

cannabiotix vape cartridge breakdown
Wicked atomizers are not the preferred method.

However, a wickless system is preferred to a wicked system almost every time. The Cannabiotix vape cart also had no burning on the wick. We saw burning in our review of BaM’s G Pen Gio pods and it negatively effected taste.

Airflow was really good

The Cannabiotix vape cart had great airflow. Vape airflow is an important part of getting a good hit out of any vaping device. Adjustable airflow is a cool feature to have on a cartridge and we hope to see more of this in the future. Take a look below at the large air hole on the mouthpiece below.

cannabiotix vape mouthpiece
Airflow on the cartridge was excellent.

It broke when I dropped it

I have dropped a lot of cartridges and I break a phone at least twice a year. The Cannabiotix cart could not withstand a drop on it’s own. The glass did not feel as sturdy as the CCELL cartridge glass. Also, the extra weight from the additional metal I think helped it to break. In its defense, most of the other cartridges I have dropped have been on batteries. I have dropped CCELLs on their own probably 4-5 times though and it never cracked. Might be lucky though.

Oil Quality was pretty good on the Cannabiotix vape cartridge, but not the best like their weed

cannabiotix cartridge review
Solid build on the cart.

I like the oil, but not so much the cartridge it was in. I switched the oil over to a CCELL cart and you could feel it a lot more. The oil was good and this cart is definitely in the top half of ones I have tried on the strength scale.

Still though, both carts did not seem nearly as strong as Select Oil or filling my own cartridge using one of AMA’s distillates. Both of those are usually available in the same places Cannabiotix cartridges are.

Their weed is best of best

My hopes were really really high for Cannabiotix carts. The flowers they make are quite possibly the world’s best right now. This cartridge is good, but it’s not best ever good like the Strawberry Lemonade Kabunky vape cartridge. Both companies are proof great flower does not mean same level of extracts and vice versa from each cultivator. Kabunky bud is not that great, but some of their extracts are top notch. Cannabiotix bud is world class, but the vape cartridge is just good, not great.

Cannabiotix vape carts were pretty strong, not super strong

I thought the cartridge was a bit of a limiting factor here, and it might be because the wattage I am using is too low. Unfortunately, Cannabiotix puts no wattage info on the cartridge box, their website is down, and they do not respond on Instagram. Maybe it could be strong if I ramp it up but I also risk ruining the cartridge.

The other downside is that because it is top airflow it just does not work with some batteries, like my normal go to the CCELL Palm.

Swapped the oil to a CCELL cartridge to get a fairer comparison

Got frustrated with the Cannabiotix vape cart and I dumped it into a CCELL cart and hit it with the CCELL Palm. There we go, now I got a much better feel for the oil. It was pretty strong.

Comparing strength to other prefilled THC vape cartridge brands

It was not as strong as carts from Select Oil, Kabunky (when not in the old CCELL carts), or getting AMA syringes and filling up blank CCELLs.

I felt Cannabiotix was stronger than vape cartridges from: Brass Knuckles, Kushy Punch, Polaris, Cobra Extracts, and the oil in Pure Vape syringes.

Overall, I would put Cannabiotix strength in the middle high range, which matches the 77% THC content of one of the cartridges. That is not bad at all, but just not what I expected from some of the best weed cultivators in the world.

Taste was ok on the Cannabiotix cartridge

Taste on the vape cartridge was not great or bad. Again, their flower tastes great. The cart tastes OK. I rather take more strength than more added terpenes though.

Efficiency was top notch on the Cannabiotix vape cartridge

Despite the wattage not being clear, the cartridge was efficient. The holes are placed low which makes for great efficiency.

dabconnection review headquarters
View from the DabConnection review headquarters for the week in the Augustus Tower at Caesar’s Palace.

Number of Puffs on the Cannabiotix vape cart was really high

cannabiotix vape box back
Banana Treez was decent.

Lots of puffs from this oil even when I switched it over to the CCELL cart. It was less thick than AMA’s distillate but substantially thicker than that found on the Pure Vape syringe. I liked the consistency, just would prefer a better cartridge or more specific instructions.

Value was decent, but that might be NuWu

NuWu dispensary has great prices on a lot of oil items and cartridges. I got two Cannabiotix vape cartridges for $39 a pop for half grams. That is pretty good for Nevada pricing. For AMA syringes I usually pay $40 a half gram (except for a super $20/half gram sale once at Nevada Made Marijuana Laughlin). For Select Oil cartridges I usually am paying about $55 and for Kabunky $45 on sale days. I would take either of those three options and pay a little more than buy the Cannabiotix cartridges again. NuWu does have fairly regular sales on Cannabiotix products though.

cannabiotix bottom of cartridge
The vape cart’s bottom connection has a good build as well, but it won’t work right on a non-mod battery.

In conclusion, I was hoping this Cannabitiox vape review would be about how great they were. Unfortunately, it is more about disappointment from it not being the same level as their flower. Really though it is not a bad cartridge. It is a good vape cart, just not a great one. Normally I would say you can get more information at their website, but it has been down for a month now. Check out the Cannabiotix Instagram page (or their Nevada page) for some cool pics.

Game Time Vape Cartridge Review: Great Oil, But Hardware Restricts Airflow

Game Time is a Nevada based THC vape cartridge brand. Our in depth Game Time cartridge review revealed quality distillate oil that is limited by the hardware it comes with. This same oil would be much better in an improved cartridge style.

Pros:

  • High strength
  • Long lasting effect
  • Efficient
  • Excellent taste
  • High THC percentage
  • Lab tested pesticide free and solvent free

Cons:

  • Cartridge airflow is restricted

Recommendations: Put this same oil in a better vape cartridge like an authentic CCELL. Make this same oil available as a distillate syringe.

Licensing Information: 1017567314-001

UPDATE 12/12/19:

And lo, it came to pass, in accordance with our recommendation, that Game Time switched to CCELL. We just got word of this development while tramping about MJBizCon Las Vegas. Now we will commit to an updated review, coming soon.

Everything is great about Game Time except the hardware

These Game Time cartridges proved to be an excellent quality oil. Testing came out great as you will see below. This cartridge is a perfect example of using slightly cheaper hardware that results in much less strength, similar to what we have seen on the latest versions of the Kabunky cartrtridge.

game time cartridge
The distillate in the Game Time cartridge had a great color to it.

Design and Build Quality: Built well, but airflow suffers

You can tell the cartridge is well built that comes with the Game Time oil. The cartridge seemed very close to an authentic CCELL, but was just a hair off. That hair off is on the airflow portion. The difference can be shown easily when comparing it to the Select Oil cartridge, which uses the same clear mouthpiece style cartridge, but an authentic CCELL.

game time vape cartridge airflow
You can see the left hole is flatter and smaller than the right hole. Left is Game Time, right is 8 Fold.

8 Fold’s cartridge gets awesome airflow on a very similar looking cartridge. Pictured above is Game Time on the right on a CCELL Palm and 8 Fold’s cartridge on the left. If Game Time used the same cartridge as 8 Fold, their cart would be on par with 8 Fold’s or Select Oil’s. Both f those brands use the authentic CCELLs.

To be sure it was not just the battery, I also tested out the Game Time vape cart on a Steamcloud Mini and the airflow was still restricted.

Oil Quality: High end as expected from AMA

The oil in the Game Time cartridge is made by Alternative Medicine Association, who also makes oils for Vader Extracts Nevada. To say I have never had a bad syringe from AMA would be an understatement. So far I have tried 5 AMA syringes and they have been top notch.

Strength is there in the oil, takes a lot of hits

Due to the restricted airflow many hits are required to get a strong effect. The strength is there. Just instead of taking 4 big hits on a regular CCELL, I have to take 8-10 smaller hits. It does not really waste more oil, just more of an effort to get the right effect.

game time vape cartridge test results
79.4% THC is pretty strong for the Game Time vape cartridge.

Game Time cartridge had great taste

Everytning about the taste was right. Good balance and not too much terpenes. I prefer more strength over more terpenes any day. Most distillates taste good without a lot of extra terps.

Cartridge was efficient despite its airflow issues

There was almost now waste by the end of the Game Time vape cartridge. It was efficient as far as not wasting any oil. It was innefficient as far as wasting your breath to get a lot of hits out of it because the air is restricted.

Number of Puffs was good, but for the wrong reason

You get a lot of puffs out of this cartridge. I would strongly prefer fewer and bigger puffs though. Points docked here because the reason for the higher number of puffs is not the reason a vape cartridge should score high in this category.

Value would be better in another cart style or if it was a syringe

If Game Time comes out with a syringe that has the same oil, I would get that even if it meant having to buy my own cartridge to put it in. Value is hurt by the overall experience, which has poor airflow. A little bit higher cost on their end for a better cart build would greatly boost the value of a Game Time cartridge.

In conclusion, their vape cartridge build makes me want to skip Game Time vape cartridges on the next round. I think in the long run they will switch to a better cartridge. Then we can change this Game Time review to a more positive one. The oil was definitely done correctly, the hardware is where it fails.

What do you think of our Game Time vape cartridge review? Did you have a different experience?

Kabunky Vape Review : Best THC Vape Cartridge You’ve Never Heard Of

kabunky cartridge review
This cart was fire of fire.

Kabunky Vape is the house brand for Nevada Made Marijuana, which has locations in Henderson and Laughlin. Kabunky’s THC vape cartridges come in a variety of strains, the most popular being Strawberry Lemonade.

UPDATE 8/28/2018: Kabunky has switched back to old style CCELL cartridges. This has hurt the strength a lot.

UPDATE 3/3/2019: Kabunky has swtiched back again to up to date cartridge hardware. They are back as on of the best brands in Nevada.

Now that Kabunky is back to it’s old hardware, it has made our best cartridges Nevada list!

kabunky vape strawberry lemonade
Kabunky’s THC vape cartridges is the best vape pen you’ve never heard of, the most popular being Strawberry Lemonade.

Kabunky uses original CCELL vape carts, A+ on that

kabunky vape cartridge
Kabunky uses real CCELLs!

Quality and build are top notch with Kabunky. Kabunky’s hardware is original CCELL hardware. Good airflow, strong hits. This category is an easy win for vape brands, just pick a good quality delivery system. Going cheap on out on knock off CCELLs usually results in less air flow, like we found with the otherwise great Game Time cartridges. Oil Quality: Strawberry Lemonade best of best

Coming in at 86% THC, the label looks pretty strong. The reality is its effects are stronger than the cartridges we have tried, save a few that are on par. Particularly Strawberry Lemonade is just exceptional. Kabunky’s other cartridges are good too. I would put any random Kabunky vape cart on the same level with any random Select Oil vape cart. Strawberry Lemonade beats everything though.

kabunky cartridge test results
Feels a lot stronger than 86% THC!

Kabunky’s other cartridges are good too. I would put any random Kabunky vape cart on part with any random Select Oil vape cart. Since Kabunky is currently only available in Nevada, it is batch tested, so their are no pesticides or residual solvents, or it won’t make the shelf.

Kabunky vape cartridges are some of the strongest

Kabunky’s Strawberry Lemonade probably is the strongest vape cartridge I have ever tried. Its real drugs. Try some other carts, and you will feel like a heroin junky chasing the dragon.

Taste: Truly excellent, best of best

I did not think I would be giving a house brand cart so many 10s, but the Kabunky vape cartridges are just such fire! All carts by Kabunky were on par with all other top brands that are more well known on strength, but compare any brand to Strawberry Lemonade and you probably cannot find anything as strong.

In our Stiiizy review we found a really strong vape, but it was way more hardware dependent. Kabunky is still stronger.

Efficiency is excellent to the last drop

Kabunky has no issues with efficiency. They used authentic CCell vape cartridges. The Kabunky cartridge has no waste.

Number of Puffs were decent, but the oil did not burn super slow

The oil on the Kabunky cart lasted about as much as standard carts. I have found CO2 carts to get more puffs per ml, but these were so good I would still prefer Kabunky over any CO2 cart.

Value: Kabunky vape cartridges are expensive, but can be cheaper on Thursdays

kabunky strawberry lemonade cartridge
Got a little sad when I reached the halfway point on this vape cart.

On Thursdays Nevada Made Marijuana has a cartridge sale where all Kabunky cartridges are $45 instead of $70 for 500ml. This sounds crazy expensive to CA residents, but it is pretty standard for NV. It gets cheaper if you are a medical patient, even if the recommendation is from out of state

If coming from CA, see our guide to getting the cheapest medical card online. In NV the dispensaries will take a copy of the rec, and you get that almost instantly online. Separate line and lower taxes! Dispensaries are crowded in NV (except where I got SST vape carts in Lake Tahoe, NuLeaf in Incline Village)

One problem is Strawberry Lemonade sells out fast and might before that Thursday deal. It is that good though I would still buy it at full price. I think the staff probably buys them too. If I worked at a dispensary carrying these I would be grabbing 4-5 before they hit the shelves.

In conclusion, Kabunky is the best brand you never heard of. If you are in Nevada or visiting, definitely check this brand out. Find the Strawberry Lemonade THC cartridge, and you will not regret it! You can find more about Kabunky here.

How To Make Your Own Oil Pen : Turning Wax Into THC Vape Juice For Vape Cartridges

29
make thc vape juice
Get that syringe ready to make THC vape juice!

Here we’ll go over how to make shatter, wax and other concentrates into THC vape juice that can be vaped out of a standard e-cig. Also known as THC e juice, the process involves combining the concentrate with a diluent to make it thin enough to vape easily in an oil pen. This also is known as making your own THC cartridge. Shot out to diseage who made the original guide I used to make juice and that info helped to build this guide.

Items Needed For Converting Concentrate To e Juice

To make your cannabis e juice you need the following items: cannabis concentrate, diluent, terpenes, mixing container, syringes with needles or slim metal tips, a heating element, and a stirrer. Using these items you can make your own wax cartridge. Also known as an oil pen or vape pen cartridge.

Cannabis Concentrate Selection For Making THC Vape Juice

The following types of cannabis concentrate will work for making e juice: distillate, CO2 oil, live resin, sauce, shatter, and rosin. Shatter is the most commonly used for making THC vape juice. In fact, the first two do not need anything added.

Distillate – Easy To Fill If Viscous Enough

Distillate is often thin enough that it can be vaped directly out of an appropriate cartridge.  You can mix terpenes into your distillate to add flavor. If you already have distillate that is not too thick skip this guide and get to refilling. Distillate and CO2 oil are similar but may have different extraction methods. Often CO2 oil is just referred to as CO2 distillate. Below is a picture of a distillate syringe. You will note it needs a metal tip in order to properly do the THC vape juice injection process listed as the last step.

distillate syringe for vaping
All this needs is a tip.

Stiiizy pen is our top recommend for refilling. See our guide on how to fill a Stiiizy pod for more information. Filling regular vape cartridges is easy as well. Most just have a screw off top.

CO2 Oil – Also Easy To Fill If Viscous Enough

Another good straight-to-the-cart kind of oil. CO2 oil that is viscious enough can be put directly into a cartridge or pod and vaped. Below is a pic of a syringe from Organa Labs I used to refill a Stiiizy pod. Great quality oil by the way. Got it from NuLeaf Lake Tahoe.

CO2 syringe
You can find these at some dispensaries. Note it did not come with the metal tip.

Nothing additional is needed. You can add additional terpenes for flavor. I probably would not as I rather have it be stronger than better tasting.

First I will stop here and say the above two methods are most preferred by us here at DabConnection. Getting a syringe of distillate is even slightly preferred over CO2 oil as it tends to taste bee above two concentrate types is also the easiest. Consider this: adding terpenes or anything else means less overall strength. We tend to go for the strongest, but some may prefer more flavor. Liqudizers and the like are great products for people that do not have access to regular distillate. If you have access, regular distillate is often going to be stronger.

Making e Juice With BHO Concentrates And Similar Waxes

Butane Honey Oil (“BHO“) concentrate, in the form of shatter or crumble, are the most popular concentrates that are diluted to make e Juice. Live resin, sauce, shatter, and similar concentrates, whether made through solvents or solventless, use the same mixing process as BHO to make THC e Juice.

There are two additional steps that may be difficult, but will help produce the best result. Decarbing your BHO can help it from getting crystalized in the cartridge later. Dewaxing BHO can help remove residual solvents and pieces of plant matter. This will make the vape run smoother and less likely to get clogged, but may be too advanced for the everyday user.

Diluent To Liquefy The THC Concentrate

There are a few different options out there for a diluent to turn your shatter (or other concentrate) into e juice. The easiest way is to get a pre-made diluent from places WaxLiquidizer or Shatter Batter. This option is preferred by many because it is easy. ANother great option that is completely terpene based is VISCOSITY Extract Luiquifier.

Now some want to go get their cannabis e juice exactly how they want it, and in that case they can use their own diluent and add terpenes. Other common diluents are: Propylene Glycol (PG), Vegetable Glycerin (VG), Polyethylene Glycol (PEG),Medium Chained Triglycerides and Fractionated Coconut oil.

Terpenes: Cannabis-based If You Can Get It

Terpenes is the part of your THC e Juice setup that adds flavor. There are terpenes that are made from cannabis and those that are made from other sources. The cannabis ones are harder to get, but they are better if you can.

Terpenes are denseley concentrated and should be added minimally to your THC e Juice mix. Two popular terpene makes are Holy Terp and True Terpenes. Holy Terp does need to get an SSL certificate though, it is better security for credit card transactions.

Mixing Container

Use a glass that is very small. A shot glass will do the trick. If you use a larger glass, use one that has a curved bottom so everything gets concentrated to the center when you make THC vape juice.

Syringes With Slim Metal Or Needle Tips

You will need syringes that have that slim metal tip or are a needle in order to properly  suck up then inject the concentrate e Juice into a vape cartridge or pod. Take a look at the tip I put on the syringe below.

syringe tip for vaping
Just the tip baby, it is important.

Heating Source / Element

The best thing to use here is a magnetic heating element.

In its place you can use a shot glass in a pot of boiling water.

Stirring Device

A glass stirring rod is the preferred item here. A cleaned off dab tool will do the job as well. A stainless steel stick of some sort will also work.

Cartridge Or Pod To Put The THC Vape Juice Into

You can choose either a standard 510 threaded vape cartridge setup or a pod style setup to get put your THC e juice into once it is done. The most common 510 carts are CCELL style.

ccell cartridge
This type of CCELL cart stick e vape uses is great.

There are quite a few pod systems out there, so far the best we have used is the Stiiizy pen. The Kandypens Rubi and its cheaper unbranded counterparts are also popular options. We found in our Pax Era pods review that it is not the optimal system with the wick that gets too burny, but it can be used as well. Make sure your syringe tip can fit your cart as well.

Making The THC Vape Juice

Now that you got the materials together, we can get into making the juice itself. There are some variations on best practices and you may slightly alter your methods or mixes as time goes on. If you learn anything new, please do add it in the comments and we will try it out and update the post.

Mixing Concentrate, Diluent, and Terpenes

This is a process that you will get better at over time. Depending on the concentrate used you may need to go a little hotter or a little colder. You might need a little more diluent or a little less. You will get the hang of it as you go.

Heating Up

Place your concentrate into your mixing container. Place it on top of your heating element. Heat the concentrate until it reaches a liquid state. Keep it at a lower power range that maintains that liquid state. Terpenes and THC will begin to vaporizer at about 315 Fahrenheit (156.67 Celsius), so it is recommended to keep it lower than that.

Mixing In And Ratios

Once the concentrate is in a liquid state you can mix in your terpenes and diluent. Remember terpenes are concentrates so use a small amount. The ratio of diluent to concentrate will vary based on the thickness of the concentrate. If it is a particular diluent made for concentrates, ask the maker of the diluent. You can also see this Reddit discussion on mixing and ratios.  Stir thoroughly while it is still heated up using your stir tool.

Let the concentrate cool off and see if it stays viscous enough to be used in a vape cart. It does not need to be as thin as regular ejuice. If it seems to thick, reheat and add more diluent. If you are not sure on thickness, you can try a little bit in the cart then go back and add more if needed. The more diluent you add, the weaker it gets, so less diluent but still hitting well is a better result for most.

Inject Into Your Cartridge Or Pod

The last thing to do is suck the juice up in a syringe and inject into your cartridge or pod. Most cartridges and pods just require that you remove the mouthpiece to inject it. After that you can get to vaping. Have something to add about making THC vape juice? Please post in the comments below. We will try it then add it if it works!

Silver State Trading Vape Cartridge Review : Good Oil, Hardware Dated

sst vape
The SST vape uses good quality oil, but could use better hardware.

Silver State Trading makes a THC vape cartridge with an interesting color distillate. How does this red colored concentrate SST vape stack up? See here in our review of the Silver State Trading vape cartridge. If you are searching for carts in Nevada, be sure to also check out our list of the best cartridges in Nevada.

Design And Build Quality: Same Cart As Moxie

Build Was Standard, Solid

Silver State Trading uses the same cartridge as we saw in the Moxie cartridge review. These carts are built solid. I dropped this cartridge and many with similar styles and have not broken them, even though they are glass.

silver state trading vape cartridge
Nice packaging on the Silver State Trading vape cartridge.

Design Could Be Updated: Bigger Hits Would Result

These are sturdy, but they lack the newer tech of some of the better style cartridges out there. They do the job, but underperform compared to newer, better carts. This vape feels like another one where the hardware does not live up to the software. We would recommend that they change this cart on future batches. Had this oil been on a C-Cell cartridge or better yet a Stiiizy style setup, this THC cart would be ranking much higher overall.

Silver State Trading Has Some Good Oil

Pesticide Free

The oil in this vape is of good quality. There are no pesticides. This vape cart was purchased at NuLeaf in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. NV is strict as can be on testing. Pesticide-laden products are not making it to the shelf in this state.

sst vape thc content
Good THC content at 72.5%

Consistent Across Board, Interesting Color

The oil stayed the same consistency for the duration of the cartridge. The cartridge strain used in this review was Gorilla Glue #4. The strain used for this review is Gorrilla Glue #4. The color is amber as opposed to gold that you see on most cartridges. Nothing hanged on color either.

Decent Strength For Silver State Trading

Strength is decent but not mind blowing. You can tell the oil they are using is good quality, but it could go a lot farther with better hardware to increase strength. Check our Stiiizy review to see another form factor that would work good with this oil. This cartridge is just not able to pull the kind of rips some of the better 510s can either like the stick e vape.

I would like to find a Silver State Trading distillate syringe and use it to refill a Stiiizy pod. Then I would get the effect I am looking for. Going to keep an eye out for this next time I am in Nevada.

silver state trading vape cartridge
That amber colored oil looks even better in the sun.

SST Vape Had Great Taste

The taste on this vape cart was awesome. It did not taste like a lot, if any, terseness were added to it. I enjoy the straight taste of wax, but if you like a lot of flavor added, this might not be your vape. I would not change any thing about the taste on the Silver State Trading cart.

Cartridge Is Very Efficient

The cartridge uses holes very close to the bottom of where the oil is, so it is very efficient. Moxie uses the same exact cartridge and you can see a picture of it below.

moxie cartridge
The Moxie cartridge and Silver State Trading cartridge are the exact same build.

Its down to the last drop efficient. I would trade some of that efficiency for a harder hitting cart though.

Number of Puffs Excellent, As Expected

You get a lot of puffs out of a half gram Silver State Trading cartridge. The oil does not vape off too fast as it is not super thin. Part of the number of puffs being so high is due to the weaker hitting cart technology.

Value: Good Compared to Nevada Prices

Silver State Trading vape cartridges are in the middle end of pricing at $54 per half gram. Prices in Nevada are much higher than other areas, but you are almost guaranteed to be free of pesticides. Compared to other cartridges, this is the middle. The Moxie cart was $57 for comparison. Apply a happy hour discount of 20%, medical discount of 10%, and tax, it comes out to $37.89. If you can get it at that price like I did then its in the low price range for NV, and a much better value.

In California the average cart price seems to be around $30, so expect to pay more when crossing that state line. The safety of no pesticides is probably worth it though. See our vape pen pesticides page that show many popular brands failing tests.

Some Additional Info About SST

Silver State Trading is based in Sparks, NV and can be found at dispensaries in Nevada. In addition to vape cartridges they also make Envy confections (edibles), Jazz Cabbage (flower, oils, concentrates), and Trokie (an interesting looking cannabis lozenge).

In conclusion, doing this Silver State Trading review revealed a good quality oil that delivered decent strength. An improved cartridge design could take this oil a lot further, but even as is this is one I would try again. Flavor was great for those of us that don’t like too much added flavor. Trying the SST vape makes me want to try a distillate syringe of theirs when I can find it. I bet in a better cart setup it would be a lot stronger. We look forward to a hardware update from Silver State Trading and we will be re-reviewing this vape cart. You can learn more about SST here.

THC Oil Pen Vape Cartridge Tests: Pesticides and Strength

    695

THC Oil Vape Pen Cartridge Test Database

The following data and information show the test results of brands of prefilled vape pen cartridges also known as oil pens. Pesticides are a constant issue in these cartridges and strength is often incorrectly claimed. These tests are both for pesticides and residual solvents. Please note that the results are those taken at the date listed on the test. Testing is becoming mandatory in more states so in the future many of these same vapes may be clean or already be clean now.

Much thanks to @dat_dude41510, @dankbustersofficial (deleted account), @dabpengod2, and @thedojaapp on Instagram for allowing us to use their test results and starting awareness about this. We are including other test results as they become available. Cartridges’ results will be in alphabetical order by brand name. The FAIL indicates a fail on pesticides. Strength was also tested, but that can vary slightly test to test, so we did not put a FAIL if only strength was off. The cartridges tested are from California. A full list of cartridges that tested clean from this list is listed at the bottom of this page. We have recently partnered with cannabis lab consultants Digamma Consulting to provide more tests and should have these results up soon.

A warning to anyone planning to get this black market cartridge. This CaliCarts tested positive for 19 pesticides. It also tested positive for Lead and Mercury but within CA legal limits. Just don’t risk your health on this one.

California Dab Company’s Cannabis Infused Vape Cartridge – Sour Apple will do good with its 67.5% strength. Unfortunately, we all have to be wary specially if we still have to know whether the company is licensed or not.

Has widespread availability but you might want to avoid this brand as much as possible.

FlavRx came out with weak and dirty cartridges. It comes in at less than 60% THC. No extra charge for the pesticides. It should be noted that FlavRx also has cartridges in Nevada, and there if it tests dirty they don’t sell. So it might still be safe to vape in NV.

Update: We have here another lab result from their old packaging. This one is for the Gorilla Glue. Unfortunately, this one also failed for pesticides test. It shows that it contains 3 pesticides that are over the CA legal limit. Below is the lab result.

    See the lab result below:

Another disappointment as HH is pretty strong and seemed like a good value. See our in-depth Heavy Hitters review for more info.

Adding to this another product from Heavy Hitters was tested, it is the Sky Walker OG and the bad news is, the pesticide test failed. Although it has a good amount of THC on it Heavy Hitters should make it safe as well. You may check the results below.

Below is the disappointing result of the most recent pesticides and solvents test. Heavy Hitters fails again.

Kingpen Pesticides and Heavy Metal Test – Current FAIL, Previous PASS

Kingpen claims that their oils are distilled 5 times to ensure that it passes tests. The lab results that we have here are for their Jack Herer strain, which is named after the renowned marijuana activist, Jack Herer. Combining a Haze hybrid with a Northern Lights #5 and Shiva Skunk cross, Sensi Seeds created Jack Herer hoping to capture both the cerebral elevation associated with sativas and the heavy resin production of indicas. Its rich genetic background gives rise to several different variations of Jack Herer, each phenotype bearing its own unique features and effects. However, consumers typically describe this 55% sativa hybrid as blissful, clear-headed, and creative.

As shown in the lab results below, KP Jack Herer passed for heavy metals. There were no issues with the THC profile coming at 82.075%. It was slightly higher than what the product claims, which is 70%.

Kurvana Vape Pesticides Test – Current FAIL, Previous PASS

So, this test result was pulled out from Kurvana’s website. The test lab results show it tested positive on cumene and o-xylene. At an exposure of 100 ppm, one may experience nausea or a headache. At an exposure between 200-500 ppm, symptoms can include feeling “high”, dizziness, weakness, irritability, vomiting, and slowed reaction time.”

Unfortunately, LA Kush went from a previous pass to a fail.

Lion Extracts will give you a good hit at 72% THC. But, never good when it gives you pesticides as well.

Mario Carts Pesticides Test – Previous FAIL, Additional Result FAIL

A new product is added here and it is the Mario Carts Strawberry Pie. But sadly the pesticide test failed. And for the THC content, we will consider it as low at nearly 70%. To check it yourself here are the results below.

    Looks simple… Mario Carts!

Here is the result of the pesticide test.

    How sad for Mario…

THC content…well a bit low for the strength.

I thought Mario is Strong but looks a bit weak…

Well, let see if Mario Carts will improve their cartridges.

    Mario Carts Skunk OG

Update: Here we have an additional lab result for Mario Carts Skunk OG. Not only that this one failed the pesticide test again, the result also shows that this one contains Lead that is 33 times the legal limit allowed by CA Law.

The Midknightxpress brand is not safe. As shown on the test on the second page by PSI Labs, this cart has failed it’s test. And the thing is they’ve been producing products since 2017.

Here’s the test result by PSI Labs which gives us proof and reason to stay away from this brand.

    Moxie Pesticides Test – FAIL

This was surprising. Moxie is known for making exceptional quality extracts. Turns out they have pesticides in them, as Moxie failed the pesticides test. This is a California cart Luckily, we used a Nevada cartridge in our Moxie cartridge review. In NV they do batch testing, so Moxie is probably still safe over there.

Strength test for Moxie came out good with a 77% cannabinoid profile. Still would not hit it if its dirty though. They also should update their cartridge style.

That’s pretty disappointing. Stiiizy seemed like a really good product.

    stiiizy strength test
Stiiizy did not come out super strong. Maybe its strength is in the vape tech.

This vape might be more about its delivery system than the strength of its oil, but it does hit stronger than anything else we have tried as far as prefilled THC carts go.

Cartridges that were clean and then later tested dirty:

    Kurvana Vape, LA Kush, Stiiizy

These are California cartridges that were tested. States with strict testing laws may not have these same issues. Brass Knuckles vs Stiiizy : Battle of the Most Popular THC Oil Vape Cartridges!

    0
    stiiizy
    Back of a Stiiizy box

Brass Knuckles and Stiiizy are two of the most popular THC oil cartridge brands out today. We already have in-depth reviews of the Stiiizy Pen and Brass Knuckles by themselves. Here, we compare the two vape carts and pick the best of best in this Brass Knuckles vs Stiiizy vape cartridge showdown.

UPDATE 2/13/2019: Brass Knuckles is now signifigantly better than Stiiizy after the oil was weakened all across the Stiiizy lineup. See our updated Brass Knuckles vs Stiiizy comparison.

Brass Knuckles vs Stiiizy – Stiiizy Stays #1!

Stiiizy Pen Vape Cartridge Overall Score: 9.6

    Stiiizy Pen review summary
High marks on most categories for Stiiizy Pen.

Brass Knuckles Vape Cartridge Overall Score: 8.6

    Brass Knuckles review summary
Brass Knuckles scored high on oil quality and strength. The quality score applies if clean.

Brass Knuckles Had Issues With Pesticides.

BK cartridges are clean from pesticides according to the company, but previous versions have failed multiple tests as shown on datdude41510’s Instagram page  He tested Stiiizy as well and all came back clean. Maybe Brass Knuckles has cleaned up their act, but the pesticides were there at one time. Stiiizy came out completely clean in testing. See our list of vape pen pesticides tests for more information.

Consistent across vape cart brands is two things: THC is often weaker than advertised and pesticides are a recurring issue. These are more issues in California where we are than in states with stricter rules like Nevada. Go to Nevada Made Marijuana in Laughlin, NV and the testing is legit and write on the packaging for anything you buy.

Stiiizy Pen Takes The Top Spot and Beats the Brass Knuckles, Especially on Value.

Still dubbed as the strongest vape cartridge, Stiiizy Pen outperforms the Brass Knuckles! With the design, build and oil quality, you’ll never go wrong with Stiiizy Pen. It also offers the best value, as it is one of the most affordable prefilled vape cartridges that you can buy. Brass knuckles needs to fix its pesticide issues we cannot further recommend it until they do. For more information see Stiiizy Pen’s website here. Brass Knuckles scored not too far from Stiiizy, still at par on strength and taste. More information on Brass Knuckles can be found on this page.
